Sagar Ratna is the right place to go out with your family and have a meal with good ambience and awesome food. I ordered North Indian veg food and it was delicious. Service was quick and the staff was decent. I recommend this place.

The place is pretty spacious with south Indian vibes created through it's music & ambience & the food also does justice to the name & the franchise.
I had MYSORE RAWA MASALA DOSA & it landed upon all the expectations and so did the sambhar and other chutneys served along.
It's a must visit for South Indian cuisine lovers.
If you're hungry, real hungry and want to rise above the fast food joint ventures, I would highly recommend Sagar Ratna. The Veg Biryani is best here, you also get a variety of fusion and south Indian foods.
Had this MYSORE PANEER DOSA at SAGAR RATNA, INDIRA NAGAR.
Dosa is made with rice, urad dal and poha (flattened rice) and the stuffing is made with paneer, onions, chopped ginger & garlic, black mustard seeds, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, asafoetida, chopped coriander leaves and green chillies. Dosa is served with red chutney, mint coconut chutney and udupi sambhar. The dosa we had was crisp from outside and had a soft porous bite as well as texture. It had a nice golden brown colour too. The specialty of this restaurant is that they prepare their food in desi ghee.
Ambience was rustic and full of greenery and green tone which gives you positive vibes.

whenever you visit them just remember to have Idli Dosa that i taste everytime.at very efficient cost. if you're a student this place is for you budget friendly and good services

I visited this place with my few South Indian friends last month. As they were missing their home food & we were nearby bhootnath market.
We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa, Rava Onion Masala Dosa, Spring Roll Dosa, Fried Idli & few lemonades. The entire stuff was good except Spring Roll Dosa.
The service was satisfactory, they can work upon the quality of their people.
Coming to the ambiance, it was rustic & full of greenery & green tone, which will give you positive vibes.
Overall we had great experience of being there.

I visited this eatery for a quick fix of South Indian Cuisine which I have been craving for quite sometime now. The first thing that struck me was the decor. The decor had a uber stylish vibe to it usually not the kind you associate with a South Indian Eatery. The place was pretty empty for dinner time which was excellent for loners like me. I ordered a plate of Medu Vada. The order took sometime to come but it was worth the wait because I got some really good shots of the decor. Lol.
The Medu Vada was crisp and a hint of minced green chillies inside the batter. The batter was not too sour and fresh. It was accompanied by a tomato chutney which was the best of the lot. Tangy, fresh and a delectable aroma, the tomato chutney was the real winner for me. The green chutney consisted of raw mango pulp bringing in it's characteristic sourness to the chutney. It was an interesting dish but did not compliment the Vadas that well. Then of course was the white coconut chutney which wasn't too watery and was fresh. The best part of the coconut chutney was that it had small pieces of ungrated coconut in it which for coconut afficiandos like me was a real treat. And it was this chutney that complimented the Vadas the best!
The accompanying Sambhar was a bit too sour maybe because of too much aamchur powder in its mixture and upon requesting the waiters they changed it for me to a lesser sour version.
All in all it was HIGHLY SATISFYING visit. Looking forward to many more visits here. Cheers :)
Went to this place while I was shopping at Bhoothnath, and was hearing about it a lot since it opened. I was with my mother and we wanted to eat something light, hence there was no better option then South Indian food.
Coming to the review, the thing I loved about this place was the ambiance. So calm, so serene, dim lights and light music with beautiful interiors.
Now about the food, we ordered-
1. Rice Idli- this was nice and soft
2. Mix veg uttapam- which was average I would say, I liked, it was crisp and tasty but I did had much better and tastier uttapam at other places.
3. Cold coffee- that was nice but was on sweeter side.
4. Lassi- this was the best, everything just perfect in this.
Other than that, sambhar and the chutneys served were really tasty, I loved the Sambhar.

Today i went there first time and it was really a good expreience for me i ordered a dosa and veg chowmein .. dosa and their chutney is excellent and chowmein was good ... i will went there for every occassion .. their ambeience is one of their attraction
Decent place, hygenic . Wide range to choose from southIndian, chinese and Indian. Good and economical. Staff extends proper courtesy and you feel wanted in the place. Dont forget to have filter coffee after the the meal, just loved it.Worth a try
Nice Place. Authentic South Indian food. One must visit for South Indian cuisine. I didn't try North Indian food. Masala dosa, Rasam , Utapaam were so authentic.
We ordered Rava Masala Dosa and Idli. Both were very tasty and Sambar was also good.
The only shortcoming was that the Dosa got stuck in the base paper of the package.
This needs to be improved.
Finally a good option to have South Indian food.
The new outlet in B Block (opposite Riyansha and in the same building as V Mart) is definitely better than its predecessor in Bhootnath Market Indira Nagar (above Agarwal Jewellers) both in terms ambiance and food quality.
We opted for a South Indian Thaali and a Masala Dosa (For us Sagar Ratna means South Indian food though they have a good selection of North Indian and Chinese cuisine dishes).
A small bowl of Rasam (complimentary) was served before we ordered.
The food in terms of quality and quantity was good with refills. The service was prompt and courteous and lot of attention was given.
What we loved: the ambiance, the décor, the food (though would love if some more traditional south Indian dishes could be added)
Problem area: The outlet is located in basement or lower ground floor, access is through stairs, making it wheel chair non friendly, problematic for elderly.
Amazing food with super quick service. Both South Indian and North Indian food was great. Ambiance is pretty good. A great place for family get-togethers. Definitely recommended.
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing.Service was good too . Interior was quite satisfying and heart warming .
