Enjoyed a delightful dining experience! The sushi was excellent, drinks were spot-on, and the highlight for me was the incredibly delicious wok-tossed water chestnuts. A must-try for anyone visiting! I ordered: 1. Crispy fried mix veg rolls 2. Wok tossed water chestnuts in hunan sauce Almost overlooked the fantastic touch – the ginger candy mouth freshener was a delightful surprise, adding a perfect finishing note to a fantastic dining experience!

This place came as a pleasant surprise to say the least, especially because I didn’t expect to find above average and affordable asian food in Lucknow. The aesthetics of Zao are spot on. I started off my evening with a prawn tempura roll, which knocked my socks off. The staff suggested that we get chicken Taipei and I’m so glad I listened to them because it was pretty darn good. The chicken basil dumplings were decent too, and so was the pad thai. I am pretty excited to visit them again.

We are visiting Lucknow and for our dinner on Sunday We zeroed down on Zao. No doubt the selection was perfect. Be it the ambience, service or the food. But this review can never be complete without a special mention of the live music. The evening became a special one with the amazing live singing by Mr. Navindra Verma. Whose selection of songs, keyboard playing skills just made the evening really special. His "Yaron dosti....."just melted our hearts. (Pic attached). We were a group of five. We ordered Shitake-chestnut dimsums (very spicy 4/5), Chicken Keffir Dimsums 4.5/5) Crispy Crunchy Spinach (3.5/5) perfect crunch but over powering taste of oil, Thai Basil fish (4/5), fried rice (4/5) All in all a very good experience. Special mention to the lemon coriander chicken soup- very aromatic, flavourful and just perfect.

A rather lively and upbeat Chinese restaurant near the Summit building in Gomti Nagar region. Complete with the local sensibilities, you can find the food paired with Scotch, American cocktails, wine and Live Ghazals. Patrons from out of town might find these to be an unusual combination but is completely in sync with the ethos of "Indianized Chinese cuisines". Service is attentive and can get a little stretched during rush hours. Seating spaces are warm and comfortable with options to seat small and large groups. Food is good and at par with some of the fancier 5 stars in the city. Eating at a specialist stand alone restaurant like this is always a winner of a decision.

An amazing ambiance and tasty food. Expensive but unique flavour and ingredients used in every dish. Prawns hargo were not so good but the chicken dishes were amazing. Dimsims were subtle and sticky. Dessert was quite small in size wrt the price charged, but was very tasty. The person singing and creating the beautiful atmosphere was the best part of the experience. I hope he keeps singing more beautiful songs. He had a lovely, soothing voice.

Zao is definitely the best place in Lucknow for a Sushi hands down. We have tried a few places and no one comes close to it. But that's not all. Zao definitely is a place that deserves multiple visits and discovers their menu. Even for other more commonly eaten Asian food, their taste is Great. It is definitely not a cheap place. But the quality and taste make it worth the price for sure. What i like about the place is that it is a restaurant first. Alcohol is accompaniment. Most places are bars with food that supports it. The ambience is great. The place is always meat and clean and smells amazing. The staff is brilliant. The fact that the owner is there every day of ten week probably makes it even better. It's a great place to go out with family or friends and have a conversation. The price and the lack of blaring music separates the party people from serious food lovers. If you love Asian food and you are in Mumbai, this is your go to destination.

An amazing restaurant offering excellent Chinese cuisine. I was impressed by the authentic and balanced taste. We tried Triple Schezwan rice, Pan fried noodles and Fish Bao. .. all were yummy. The ambience is very warm and comfortable. The price is a bit on the higher side but is worth the experience.

We dine at Zao everytime we visit Lucknow and this place has consistently delivered superior quality food along with excellent service. During our recent visit there were two large groups dining at the restaurant but they were still able to maintain their high standards for our table which is quite impressive!

Best chinese restaurant in lucknow. Food was awesome. Cocktails were very good. Chicken chilli bao, fish teriyaki, crispy chicken and nooddles was too good. So many Chinese and japenese dishes were available. Ambience and service was very good. Specialy services of Ms Yashoda.
