This place near the railway station was a recommendation of one of the colleague! Friends is a friendly place and quite famous for vegetarian delight and you will find a queue to enter and a long waiting! People are crazy for its dal specially trust me it’s an amazing place for a vegetarian delight!
Breads are also special but the dal is just out of the world will recommend everyone to visit this place!

A limited menu eatery with an extremely fast and quick service. They serve only paranthas and about 3-4 veggies to go along. The seating is spread over two floors. Wash basin is outside the eatery and inside as well. It is right on the main road.
Food quality is terrific. Especially the salads. They are fresh cut, including beetroots, cucumber and carrots. The salads are served with salt in a small pouch. They also give complimentary onion salad along with pickles. The portion sizes are huge. Punjab style.
Good place to have a hearty meal.

One of oldest and finest dhabas of the city. It is known for its taste. They have very limited menu but everything on it is tasty undoubtedly. Try to visit on weekdays as it is overcrowded on weekends . Service is kinda good. But cleanliness is an issue. But yeah no flaw of this dhaba can overcome its taste.

today I had brought 3 fry dals, one cheese tomato & 12 tandoori roti along with onions & achar. all the things were nice & tasty. but salad or onions achar was not freash & some stinking. why they ignore this small things only they know.

I have never been ate the dal fry like they served. Well perfect cooked. The staff are also very polite. The owner has an personal supervision over the things .. the food is super awsum ..

Daal parotha means Friends Dhaba. A typical Dhaba Dal prepared in shudh Desi Ghee and cooked to expertise to a level you cant say a no each time you pass by. Parking can be an issue but it is worth giving a fight for. Team it up with a lachha parantha and there you go ending up stuffed too much but a want to have more type of feeling. Superawesome

I visited this place because of all the great things I had heard of its food. And I wasn't tad bit disappointed. I had ordered veg thali and kheer. Everything on my plate was appetising. Kheer was the best part of my visit. This place is nothing great on ambience and the staff is okay-ish. But the food is worth revisiting for.

This place is amongst the oldest dhabas i know in ludhiana, this is the favourite spot for having lunch near the junction area, I have been to this place many a times and everytime i visited this place, i have been satisfied with the food they serve. Had malai kofta, shahi paneer and dal makhni along with roti. Out of all dal makhni was the best and it was like a dal with plenty of butter in it. The quantity of paneer was less but taste was ok.
Malai kofta was also good and we even got it without onion on demand.
The rotis were ok.

Food taste is so good and fresh. Staff is active and energetic..
But one gimic is there, If you visit any restaurant/food court in India, they are offering you normal drinking water free of cost. If you ask for mineral water, they served on chargeable basis... At this place, Staff simply provide you mineral water bottle without your demand and If you consume it, you have to pay 20 rs. for it... It is wrong practice. One positive thing is that if you raise your voice at reception, they deduct money for the same and provide a bill for food only. People awareness plays a vital role at this place.

Very old hotel with no variation in taste. There are just a few dishes in the menu booklet. Just one raita( lauki raita) . I think there must be more options. But the quality of food is always good. Great service. But the atmosphere isn't very impressive . We asked for a simple curd if there wasn't any other option, but they refused.

The Iconic Friend's Dhaba of Ludhiana folks. 100% vegetarian (not vegan).Very near the Railway Station (walking max 5 mins). Famous for Kali Dal Tadka & Prantha. Shudh Desi Ghee is used here. And for all lover's of Maa Ki Dal Tadka with Paranthas this is one u cannot miss. Also on the menu is Shahi Paneer, Baingan Ka Bhartha, Mixed Vegetable, Cheese Tomato & a host of other things but the most ordered dishes are the ones I have stated. Not cheap, not expensive, in the medium range. Opens near Lunch Time, 12'O'Clock & closing time around 11:30pm. But best to come around 8pm if you don't want to wait for seating. On weekends dinner time the waiting time can be 20 to 30 minutes & you really hv to stand outside, or wait in yr nearby parked car. A Very Huge Commercial Complex is coming up just opposite the dhaba but it's still a couple of years before it will be operational. Good place to bring family but don't expect any ambience. Enjoy the food. For desert they hv their special kheer. Cold drinks & Bottled Water available.
