This is one of the best cafes in Ludhiana since so many years..
I had such excellent Lasagna dish here.. It was infused with flavourful herbs with exotic veggies and Parmesan Cheese. A Must try..👍🏻
The sandwiches are also great in taste..👌🏻
The coffees were also good in taste with right amount of sweetness..🥤👌🏻

This is one of the oldest cafes in the town . They serve authentic food. Totally loved theie pizza and especially coffee. They have a variety of bakery items too
A place I went to meet up with a friend, who said she was a regular here and liked it a lot! Bakes and Beans is a quiet, small place on the busy Pakhowal road, the decor is tasteful and the food is great. We had coffee and a bread platter with different dips, both the preparations were good. I also picked up loaves of bread for home which were again well baked and flavourful. I would be visiting again soon!
Place is amazing..i ordered Virgin Mojito, Fully Monty Pizza (thin crushed) and Garlic Bread with cheese..everything ordered was fab..virgin mojito was quite refreshing..the flavour of mint leaves was superb..garlic bread is a must try dish..it was yummm..pizza too was delicious..😍😍
One of the first cafe of ludhiana. The place has maintained it’s vibes and menu since last 10 years. They have expanded throughout these years but still you’ll feel nostalgic whenever you go there. The sandwiches are good. Pizza is superb. Coffee is average. Teas are good. The only place which is constant in ludhiana. Service used to be great but now it is just average

This place is my all time favourite whether for a gossip session with my friends or an outing with my family, the vibe here makes you just so comfortable. Coming to the food review now, I've tried many vegetarian options here and i was never disappointed. It's main highlights are
> Lebanese platter - this is an assorted bread platter with different dips, one of it's unique thing so one should definitely try it atleast once.
> Veg lasagne - its also good, though not extraordinary.
> Cheese garlic bread- i just love it's garlic bread which i generally order with masala tea. Both make a great combination.
> Also it offers authentic coffees n teas.
> Pizza, brownie or burgers i never got disappointed ordering any of these.
So don't give a second thought on trying this place out !
Nice food best chicken pizza ever had.love the Restauran and keep up the gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood wooooork
This place has a cold coffee called ‘Jungle Java’ which is amazing and besides, the Mexican fajitas, Tiramisu, Mushroom Alfredo pasta, warm salad, panini are some of my favorites. Always love the place and the vibe.
Delicious food... special attention is paid to the instructions and requests... Kathi roll is scrumptious .. loved it.. veg Sandwich needs improvement but still is better then most..
very nice place..outdoor sitting is there too..good food..tasty..neat and clean.. service is also good..drinks shakes..pizza..pasta..burger everything is tasty..can visit again and again to this cafe. too good
This place has always lovely been a favourite, the setting is lovely and has all the vibes of a quaint lil cafè someplace else! The food is always great. The shepherds pie, sandwiches, Nawabi Kathi rolls and the shakes are great. In the dessert section, Brownie with ice cream and the tiramisu are delicious! The banoffee pie was a tart instead, and didn’t quite hit the right notes here, also the Choco lava cake didn’t do its magic since it was already cold by the time it arrived last time. Still, gotta love it!
This particular joint has been in hearts of all... The ambience and vibe of the place keeps you in a calm mood. Have the Jungle Java and Choco sparkle or the Mocha, depending on your preferences. They're all great!
The place has a character of its own, which is the case with very few places. And it will rub off on you once you visit it. The food is great, pricing is good and nothing can get wrong here.
Its especially for those people who sometimes think that they want to go to a place otherwise than the routine dine ins or cafes.
This place is a right choice of you are looking for a relaxed breakfast for an hangout! The best part about this place is the vibe of the place and the set up ! You get welcomed by a sporty kinda decors and comfortable seatings!
I tried their cold coffee , hot chocolate, vanilla muffin and Red Velvet pastry! I loved the red velvet pastry and the vanilla muffin!
Their English breakfast Platter is absolutely wholesome and delicious! A lavish spread of eggs, baked beans, sausages ❤ is an absolute droolworthy combo!
If you are thinking of a takeaway ,their cookies are absolutely amazing and also the garlic loaf.

Believe me, this place will never disappoint you. Their food has food which compels you to celebrate your every special day here. Their salads are amazing, especially the greek salad. The walnut pie is one of the best I ever had. Its taste is still fresh on my tongue... still drooling. Coffee is also good here.
Don't forget to taste their walnut pie...
Been there many times. Ambience, service, taste etc. , everything was upto the mark. Highly recommend this place for foodies. Loved the taste of their pizzas.

5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is only for consistency in food quality and taste they have persistently maintained through the years. Though the ambience is seasoned and aged but still environment is quite euro like cafe. Best part is they now serve beer. All the bakery , Italian food is exceptional. Must visit n try
burger was great. the salad, i felt, could have been better.
Place -Bakes & beans ,ludhiana
What we had- White sauce pasta, cappucino and an extra virgin burger (from their jumbo burger range)
We appreciated the not-so-funky and out of the box ambience
Cappuccino-amazing,tastes so well and brewed up so very well 👌
Extra virgin burger-Was a complete veggie treat, serves one really well
Pasta-creamy and tempting,it IS IRRESISTIBLE
This is one of the first coffee shops to open in Ludhiana. Still they retain their taste and ambience. Their bakery, coffees and other dishes like Kathi rolls, pizza's are all very good. A must visit cafe in Ludhiana.
Arabian Honey Cake 🍰
The cake was so moist and tasty . It had some syrup infused in the cake which made the cake rather juicy yet so perfect . The topping of caramelised honey dates and dry fruits made it even more rich in taste and look.

Bakes and beans is one of the oldest cafes in ludhiana it provides some amazing food and sitting. I tried there red sauce pasta which tasted good not too much saucy but with adequate flavours, gardenia pizza: fully loaded with veggies, olives and cheese. Cafe latte and walnut brownie all things justifying the price.
This place has a special spot in my instant cravings for grabbing a quick munchie to dig in!!
So I ordered a Lemon Ice Tea which was refreshing and chill to drink; then a chicken breast cooked with lemon rosemary sauce, boiled veggies and potato fries. The taste was spectacular as usual with each and every ingredient hitting me just in right quantities with every bite I digged.
Always a great place to hangout...
The best coffee in town. I must visit place for coffee and tea lovers. The bakery products and food is worth trying. This place has maintained its quality for a long time. Congratulations to the Bakes & Beans Team.
Well the place for beer and pizza finally in ludhiana. For all italian lovers who also love beer and a good ambience to go with it this place is it.
However they only offer kingfisher, the food is decent not great. But worth a dinner out with your mates.
Costs INR 1800-2200 for three people :)
One of the oldest eating places in the city. The food is great no doubt esp the thin crust pizza and chicken lasagne. But the lemon chicken that we ordered was horrible and waste of money. Ambience is gud. However..the service is very slow. Takes a long time fr the food to reach the table as well as the bill. Lil on the expensive side. They really shud do smthn abt their service.
This is by far the oldest and most amazing bakery in Ludhiana. For their breads are fresh and perfect. Also their deserts specially the lemon tart being one of my picks is perfect balance of acidic flavor of lemon and sweetness. Also the tart crust is thin and flaky. They have small bites which are pocket friendly and their ginger beer which is not on menu but is available on demand.
They have a variety of things to choose from in terms of teas and coffees and also food options available.
Bakes and Beans a quaint place and an all time favourite.
Anything you order here is a delight. From it's salads to it's pizzas everything they serve here is delectable.
I've never had a bad experience with them, it's a good place to have some alone time and a great place to be with friends.

Good service and great ambience. In fact the serenity and calmness inside it reminds me of beautiful Chandigarh days specially oven fresh. Away from regular crowd. Classic. Food is good. Interiors r just amazing but i find it bit overpriced. Otherwise whenever i visit here, it makes me forget that m in Crowdy Ludhiana.
Visited this place quiet few times. The food is really nice and consistent in taste. The ambiance is okay need to upgrade a bit. The food served is delicious , my favorite being warm chicken salad. Do visit this place in ludhiana for good food.
Consider this the city classic. Food is good. Quality of ingredients is also hygienic. Service is slow and the food takes a lot of time to reach your table. However, the taste is one of the best. The cold coffees are great and a must have.
This place is old fashioned coffee shop with great atmosphere. There railway tea and pasta is my all time favourite meal to enjoy. Overall good cafe to hangout with friends
"HANDS DOWN THE BEST CAFE IN LUDHIANA"
I have been to a lot of different cafes and bakeries in town but honestly if you are looking for taste, quality and a cool place to hangout this is the best place. If you are wanting to try something new this place will not dispoint you. The ambience is lively and they play jazz music too(which is cool as per me), although the presentation of the menu is very simple. The food is yum but you will never find it to be heavy on your palette.
Perfect place to hangout and chat for long time! They have such a good atmosphere inside the cafe that one feels such a peace and better if that is in combo with a jungle java, Farm fresh sandwiches and lasagne!! A Wow! Factor lies in their dishes... Must visit... ☺☺
Good place.. Cozy type..the ambience is okk..it is little expensive.. The service is also nt up to the mark.. Food is good no doubt.. All in all its a gud 1.. There's parking problem also.. As we don't get the parking space easily..
This cafe is the heart of the city.I cannot go back and count since when are we visiting this place but it has maintained its quality throughout.Be it its warm salad, sandwiches or the pizzas the food is amazingly yummy.I love the extensive menu of drinks as well that it offers. We love the ambience and the extensive range of fresh breads they have for sale.Must visit in Ludhiana.
If you love pasta, chicken rosemary, grilled sandwiches than you are at right place. Cozy ambience with loveable music. Yes place is little expensive. The most irritating moment is when you don't find parking near by.
A cool place to hang out with a decent capacity and ambience.
The menu has limited options , not a place to go if you are looking for main course food.
The pricing is also bit on the higher side.
Do try the pizzas and pastas as they are good.
Nice ambience.. Amazing range of dishes.. A great place to hangout.!! Lil expensive but worth spending. I tried smoked chicken sandwich.. Its just awesomee..!!
Cafe culture today, is a rage in Ludhiana. You would find people across all age groups meeting over a cup of coffee. Initially thought of as places for youngsters to have a date, cafes have now evolved to more of a place of get together, be it aunties' kitty party, students relaxing after a study session, business guys meeting their client etc etc etc... Cafes can be defined as an evolution of old days 'nukkad chai waala'.
Cafe culture in Ludhiana too, began with a branch of Indian Coffee House that I'm not sure exists today or not. But the real influx of cafe culture has been 7-8 years old. It started with the opening of Barista at Kipps Market in around 1999-2000, but it failed to get things going and closed down in a short time. But during this early 2000's period, a small eatery was attracting Ludhiana's youngsters and reintroducing the cafe/coffee culture. It was Bakes and Beans. Serving coffee in a cosmopolitan ambience and offering flavorful tit bits alongside, Bakes and Beans haven't looked back ever since. This is the place which truly can be attributed for cafe culture in Ludhiana.
So starting with my review: -
Access & Parking - Easy to locate on the Pakhowal main road. Traffic snarls can be experienced any time, thanks to the ever growing traffic of Ludhiana. Take the shortcuts from the nearby areas to avoid the jams. Parking is on the road side, no dedicated parking area. So at times, parking could be an issue.
Ambience & Service - Cosmopolitan style. Gives you a classical cafe look. Options of indoor and outdoor presents variety in seating. Natural light has been put to good use. Furniture and decor truly gives an old school look which is different from all the joints having a rugged and dim lighting nowadays. Service is tad slow. Put up an order and you'll surely be made to wait for 20-25 minutes before you get your stuff. Staff is courteous.
Food - Good taste and presentation. Although a bit overpriced and the management involved in wrongful tax collection (charging vat and service tax without printing their tax numbers on the bill), the food is good. Ingredients are fresh and the menu is well balanced despite lagging behind in number of dishes. Coffee is strictly okay, but it is their salads that are the winner. And yes, nothing is punjabi-fied. Pasta, ceaser salad and chicken burger are a must try.
Verdict - A good not so Punjabi experience in Ludhiana. Give a try for sure.
Well it's one of the oldest cafes running in Ludhiana a nice place to chill this place never disappoints. Good quality and quantity food . The most famous is jungle java but I personally like the lemon iced tea. Soothing place easy on pockets
Visited this place on a Saturday evening.
It is a small, quaint place with a cafe like setting. The ambience is confused between it being a regular cafe or a sports cafe. The seating is quite crowded with very little distance between tables.
We ordered a Paneer Pannini and a Large pizza with 5 toppings.
The pannini was good, with a well flavoured stuffing and perfectly toasted. The paneer was soft and the veggies fresh.
The pizza which followed was quite a disappointment. Inspite of being thin crust it was soft (not soggy) and the toppings were virtually non-existant. We called the server and sent it back.
They bought us a fresh one, and it was significantly better. The toppings were well loaded and fresh and it wasnt overloaded with chese. Also the crust was nice and crisp.
Had the pizza been this good on the first go, would have rated it 4.
I will return to this place, as the menu is vast and tempting.
One of the oldest cafe's of Ludhiana.. With antique interior and a refreshing feell! Variety of teas.. Perfect coffee blend and mesmerising food.. Accompany's for a best relaxing time. ?
One of the oldest and best cafe in Ludhiana. Have visited this place countless times everything from sandwiches, coffee, pizzas is amazing.
Only negative is the slow service
One of the first few cafes that opened in the city. I have always enjoyed the sandwiches and cold coffee of this place.
However, the place hasn't evolved much with time. The menu options are a little limited.
What really makes it worth a visit is the feel of the place.
For the locals, By the locals and 100% heritage café resto joint. Easy on the pocket, easy on the mood setting & sitting and home made goodness. You'll never regret any visit. Plus the bakery is good too!!
Good breakfast served. Quality of smoothy wasn't that good, but bacon, sausages and half fried eggs were amazing. Service should be improved. 4 stars for food though.
Bakes and beans .... Yummy ....... I love to go there. When I enter in it it give me a traditional look that I like very much..... And the food is the best
veg sandwich is lovely..
frappe good..
music good
crowd good

N pizza is lovely
Most of us who have spent considerable time in Ludhiana have grown up enjoying their cuppas at Bakes and Beans or in short BnB. I remember countless numbers of visit in the last 14 years in Ludhiana. You like this place for so mnay things it offers and hate this place for so many it doesn't.
Food is simply awesome, whatever it be there is hardly anything which is bad. Coffee / tea is awesome and sandwiches filling and tasty. There is a whole lot of menu that one can try and it rarely goes wrong.
It used to have great ambiance, centrally located from our home and work place and used to have a rustic look and spending hours there sipping coffee and enjoying favorite sandwich was always fun and still is. There is a very high probability that you'd bump into most of your friends due to its popularity.
Given that, time has changed so should the wall papers on the wall, including the posters should change. Toilets should be improved and obviously its a good idea to spend money earned into better services. Yello dirty stains on the wall due to water seapage needs cleaning to avoid giving dingy location. I still want to go there more often than I do but I hate to see that its not being maintained properly. Well, it still one of the best coffee shops in town til someone smarter outruns it.
One of the best places in ludhiana to hang out with friends. Coffee and few side orders are too good.
My friends and I have been patrons of this place ever since they first opened shop. The best coffee and sandwiches in town. Period.
the bestest place to hang out in gurdev nagar area... just loved everything they serve... used to go there quite often ...not in tunes with the place right now... but definitely one of the best cafe's in ludhiana...
One of the oldest cafe's running in Ludhiana and STILL pretty popular amongst true coffee lovers of the city. I still remember the day when I went there for the first time. I think I was in school and I went there with a few elder cousins of mine. That smell of freshly brewed coffee and that warmth I felt moment I entered was enough for me to fall in love with this place. The best part is, somehow they've happened to maintain those standards by far. Recently there were rumors that its now gonna be open till 3 or 4 am. But I guess they were just rumors. It would have been good though.
Ridiculously awesome they are. Cheers people. Love the coffee and my fact sandwiches
awesome food n service....hv bn consistent for so many years which is commendable
Bakes and Beans or some ppl fashionably called it BnB is a sachin tendulkar of restaurants and cafe in ludhiana, its old, its performing and its setting up some tough standards for new cafes or restaurants when its comes to the quality and taste of the food. You may corelate it with a sports bar or cafe when you enter the place due its sporty look decor. But its nothing like that, its a decent place which serves mind blowing food, you can have anything there which is edible. Paisa vasool taste. There is an ample space for parking. Its located very close to the financial hub of city "Firoz Ghadhi Market". so if you are travelling or coming for a business meeting in ludhiana, Its a place to be at. Please bear with slow service and "never smiled faces" of the staff as many of them are decade old.
well I think one of my fav places in ludhiana for coffee .. delicious cakes and pastries . jungle java shake is to die for ...
my fav combination the nawabi chicken roll and fruit beer . one word : awesome
good service and good ambience ...
a must try place .....

AMBIENCE >> u enter it.. and look at the ceiling footballs, golf clubs and sporty stuff hanging on it.... super cool idea :D ..
FOOD- their coffees, shakes and pastries...specially the chocolaty stuff :)..and their herbal teas are great if u r diet concious!
SERVICE- good
all n all..good place :)
P.S- try their JUNGLE JAVA SHAKE if u love chocolate! :D
Bakes and Beans, or BnB as it is lovingly called, is technically a nice, elegant coffee shop. Non-technically it is a place of meetings, birthday parties, exclusive get together, kitty parties and hoard of other social activities that require an exquisite cup of coffee.
I have been visiting it for past 5 years and not one day have I sensed any change in quality or taste of their coffee. I love Jungle Java Shake, a cold coffee with lot of chocolate. Their Assam Tea is another feather in the cap. The snacks on the offering are also great to have.
The bakery section is full of delicious pastries and cakes from Black Forest to Choco Truffle. The ambiance is great and cozy. The shop has golf clubs, footballs, hanging from the ceiling. The walls are covered with posters from various eras. The seating is quite good and you can choose to sit inside for coziness or outside the cafe for in-the-air experience.
Overall a great place for a nice cup of coffee.
since the year 2000 ... my all time fav cafe.. the coffee served here beats barista and costa and the walnut pie served is excelent. I would rate 5 always
