one of the best, "The best" grilled chicken I have ever had. I m basically from chennai, I have tasted many grilled chicken but like ameer mahals spl grill, wow its mouth watering flavourful grill.

Being a chennaite, I always had this long time quest to taste the authentic taste of the Madurai soil. As I'm no new to the well established brands like Konar Mess, Amma Mess, Kumar Mess and the dissatisfaction of the heart from dining at these places suggested me to try new but road side and thattu kadai types. Amir Mahal was widely suggested for best parottas in a FB page called 'Madurai Food Guide' and I along with a friend just travelled to this place all the way from Chennai to try their parottas and Kari Dosa.
The waiter Mr. Saravanan was kind enough to suggest the specialities of the eatery considering our preferences. He suggested each of us 1 bun parotta, half dhum parotta (coloquial term for egg veechu) and a Kari Dosa. The compliments were four gravies - a chicken liver gravy, naatukozhi (country chicken) gravy, ginger gravy (must try) and one more gravy for which I forget the name. The dishes were great and true to its authentic Madurai taste. The mains were served hot and the gravies were re filled regularly. The Kari Dosa unlike Kumar and Konar messes was big enough in size and the portion satisfies a regular eater.
Paid overall 375 bucks for the order and 40 as tips.

I ordered parrotta in ammer Mahal.. gravy was not enoughable.. but the gravy taste was super and awesome tast. if they gave the extra gravy i may be well satisfied for the food.

Just now before am was received on my ordered on grilled chicken,parotta and chicken meals, first off all GRILLED CHICKEN is too delicious and very good taste😋,PAROTTA is too soft and that kurma is too tasty on it will come Indian spices smells 😍,and CHICKEN MEALS was awesome taste and proper way of cooking style and rasam was too taste of spicy,THANK YOU AMEER MAHAL HOTEL keep it up guys
super & yummy spicy taste of Chettinad chicken grevy and unexpected taste of butter chicken...and also fast delivery.... good response from hotel. i hope they will bring more and different delicious food and dishes in future.
I haven't seen the parotta taste by comparing with other hotels. specially gravy and chalna for parotta is spr taste... and also polite response from hotel and delivery boy is respectable ...

Economical and good food! We ordered basic items and they were really good and value for the money. Parotta was excellent in texture and taste, grill chicken very tasty and fresh, briyani and boneless 65 were upto the mark ! definitely worth trying Parotta, Boneless, Grill and briyani :)
This restaurant serves parota with three types of Kurma... parota tastes awesome...grill chicken is also good...shawarma is good compared to other restaurants in Madurai at this cost....on the whole the rate is cheap and taste is good especially parota
If you are in Anna Nagar and wanted some good Tamil Muslim style non veg restaurant, this. is the place you need to go. Have been here since my school days and not. a single time I was disappointed.

Parking for 4 wheelers is a bit difficult. The restaurant ll be open till late night to satiate your late night cravings.
Shawarma and Tandoori items are famous there.very cheap and good food. Nice place to go with friends.from 12pm u can get fresh grilled Chicken. Try it
Nice place to have parotta. Restaurant is quite large and relatively clean. The food was delicious. Particularly the parotta. The kothu parotta too was quite tasty. The staff including the waiting staff and cashier were polite, friendly and helpful. Parking however isn't available for four wheelers.
Good tastes best quality.... Not satisfied with their hygiene... High quantity for low price... Good service.... But they ask for tip always.... Good quality for low prise.. is at the main place in madurai... Is one of the famous hotel in madurai .....

When I was studying in American College Madurai in 2006. Weekly twice I should visit this hotel. The kushka and biryani and the barota and all food items are very delicious. If you like to eat cheap and best food I suggest this place.
A crowded place and congested ambience. But the taste of food is nice and of good quality. Muttai parotta and Grill chicken are must try foods. Their gravies also tastes awesome. Price wise also very good. It's better to take parcel than dine in owing to the crowd and noisy ambience. Overall worth for money and quality food.

Heaven for Parota lovers. They have an array of parotas which they make right infront of you and serve piping hot. The ambience as such is of roadside stall but they do have seating area inside for families and groups. The hygiene is good. Service excellent even though they don't know much hindi n english and lightning fast. Ordered Chicken Kothu Parota, Chicken Ceylon Parota, Kaari Dosa ( Chicken Dosa) , Chicken Roast, Mutton Roast. Everything was absolutely delicious and served hot. The best was Chicken Kothu Parota and Kaari Dosa. The chicken roast was nice tender pieces but little on sweeter side. Mutton was nicely cooked. Ceylon Parota was okay and it's too filling. Along with this you get unlimited serving of Raita and two kinds of chutney. Would highly recommend to try this place if you love Parota and it's dishes. This place is open till 2am we went around 10 and it was jam packed with locals. It's a very busy place but not much waiting time as tables are cleared very quickly. Must say the quality of food is pretty good because after eating so much none of us had any problem. Amazing place must try when in Madurai. They have featured in Rocky n Mayur Show.

Very popular hotel in Goripalayam.
Went here after watching a video about food. Ordered kothu porotta, kalakki/valiyal, mutton chukka.. I am not a mutton fan normally but this was the best chukka I have ever had.. Food was very tasty.. Place was full with people having biryani n meals even at 4.30pm..wanted to try their famous ceylon porotta but it was not there..
One thing they should try to concentrate is on cleanliness. There was a lady sweeping our floor when we were having food and that's not a good sight, at least for me, when I am having the best chukka in my life. 😊
I am just visiting the place to buy chicken biryani, the quantity of the biriyani is full 2 persons the taste was so good, but the biriyani was not hot the atmosphere was good
Fantastic parota making skills. Extraordinary chicken curry for parota. I liked the plain parota with chicken curry.. some chicken stuffed parota was decent enough which some might love it just like my wife did . Place and making doesn't look hygenic, would compromise for the taste once in a while

Awesome parotta every time... The quality is simply delicious. The chilli chicken and fried rice and noodles was also awesome, my kids loved it. The kebab variety was also too good. Definitely will keep going back. Kudos to the team.
