Gecko Restaurant - Mahabalipuram - Photo album

Must try. Delicious food. Awesome host. Sea food Specialist. Tried Gecko Special fish with chips. Also had Prawns tava fry with chips. One of the best in town.
A tiny and cosy restaurant on the first floor with friendly and good service by the owner. The food is delicious!! Fresh red snapper and other dishes, perfect prepared. It used to be a big restaurant, but due to corona and lockdowns they are still recovering. Support them by eating at their place!
Gecko is a great place for a chilled out meal and some great seafood. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The food is fresh with balanced flavors. I was the only vegetarian in the group, and they were very kind to prepare something I had requested which wasn't available in the menu. My friends were
I was looking for something local and not touristy and asked for it. They recommended a traditional South Indian dish, Thokku. A wholesome and heavenly mix of spices and flavours. It's more expensive than the other dishes on the menu but a unique experience.
I came to Mahabalipuram (Mamallapuram) for 2 weeks vacations. and for the once again time I eat excellent tawa fish - in this restaurant. The fish is always fresh, and very tasty cooked, and most importantly - at a very reasonable price. the fish cost only 400 rupees, which is very inexpensive for
I ordered geckos special fish which costs 400 on the menu. But they had a big fish for 800 rupees. The fish was fresh and very tasty. For one person the portion was not big either. But the beer was not cold enough. And the owner and shef are kind. It was a nice restaurant and i’d like to visit there
Extremely kind and helpful brothers Basker and Mani run this nice, comfortable place in the first floor. The food is great and it's very nice just talking to them. And they sell cold beer.:-)
If you like amazing fresh fish, cooked in a traditional style, and don't mind a little wait, this is the place for you. Amazing service, big portions and a great spot for people watching.
The food was out of this world - highly recommended family run business with a homely feel. Everyone we met there was incredibly friendly, especially Mani who was very warm, honest and open with us. Mani suggested a chilli and lemon sauce when he learned we liked spicy food, the chef's promptly brou
Went as a group in the afternoon... though we had to wait for the food to come, it was totally worth it. Everything we ordered (squid fry, red snapper tawa, prawns, roast chicken and potato) was so yummy!
