Very nice test of sea food
Good restaurant with beach view and fresh food is served on demand and good customer service and mainly they show us food which they are going to cook and ask us which type we want to get it cooked and mainly it is cooked fresh and cost is affordable and it will be a good experience when we go with friends or family we can eat by enjoying the beautiful beach

Stopped by here for lunch one day. We have tried out most of the joints in Mahabs but Bambinos was pending. We tried the Lemon butter garlic tiger prawns, Fish curry and rice and Tawa fried Red Snapper. The Red snapper was insanely good. Delicious tawa masala with lots of garlic and a snapper so fresh it might seemed to have jumped out of the sea into our plates. Prices were quiet decent as well - The red snapper that could feed 2 easily costed us 800 bucks. We had a little confusion with the Tiger prawns though. The waiter said he had tiny shrimp and a bigger tiger variety. I have had lots of tiger prawns, they come in various sizes. Upon asking for the cost the waiter just said 400. When it was served, we saw they were ginormous prawn ! 4 to a plate, each costing 400 bucks EACH. So make sure you clear that up because it unecessarily hiked up our bill and we couldn't even finish all the food between 2 of us. On taste, the prawn tasted ok - ish. Still haven't found a good butter garlic prawn / calamari place in Mahabs except for Le Yogi. The Rice and fish curry was also really good !
I would come back over and over again just for the Tawa fried fish and the views. Definitely recommended !! 😊
Went for the view, blown away by the food. Had grilled fish and tava chicken. It's a heaven for food lovers. Best grilled snapper one can have. I'm coming back very soon.

In the top floor with an amazing view of the sea and natural breeze to relax you. My gang was there for lunch and we were treated well from arrival till we left.
The staff showed us some big fresh fishes which he can cook instantly and serve us. After a little examination and prediction we opted for Butterfish which costs us 800₹
We started with ▪️Tava fish fry (Butterfish) which was cooked so well and it was damn tasty. Just loved it like anything. So fresh masalas they used for cooking. We really enjoyed the tava preparation. Even they served with salads and French fries which comes as complimentary.
Next we moved on to ▪️ Calamari Pepper fry (squid) Oh !!! Such a fresh and crispy fried calamari I had after a long time. That was too delicious. Served with onion rings, lemon and a bowl of mayonnaise.
This dish is highly recommended in starters. And the quantity they provide against the price (300₹) is worthy.
For main course we had ▪️white rice and combined with ▪️Prawn masala. A bowl full of prawns cooked in fresh masala. Quantity was good enough to share among four atleast. It was more like a homely preparation. The gravy tasted well with rice.
▪️Egg curry. Gravy was superb and white rice combination made it more delicious!!!
We not only enjoyed eating there but also enjoyed the ambiance and the food quality. Service was excellent and the staff was very compassionate towards the customer.
For good food in Mahabalipuram and that also beside the beach my recommendation is Bambino. Hygiene and clean ambiance. Go and enjoy the food.

You've just got to love the starters in this restaurant. Had the Tawa fish fry, and it was simply incredible. Too good for the price. Got a great view of the beach as well, so a must visit restaurant if you're in Mahabalipuram
After a long hot day of sight seeing at Mahabalipuram, this is the place you want to be. The staff is very polite and they engage in discussing the menu and recommending what could work for you. We had the prawn tawa fry, prawn 65 and Gobi Manchurian. Each of them were very well prepared.
The ambience and availability of beer are added bonus.
It's the best place in Mahabalipuram beach to hang out with your friends and have a good time . The food is good(8/10) and service is good(7/10) . They even serve alcohol and spicy foods . Parking area ✔️
One of the decent restaurants in Mahabs with a lovely view of the beach. Seating area is on the 3rd floor. Fresh catch is available, though could seem a bit pricy for a beach shack type restaurant.

If u love fish and spices u should definitely eat here! Along with the wow food this place is cheap as well as provides sea view too. They will even show u the raw catch n get it cooked in half an hour! Serve huge quantity
The beach view from this restaurant is very much exciting. The ambience was calm and relaxing. We ordered mixed fried rice which was good(not spicy), calamari fry was delicious , tava fish and lastly gobi manchurian which was too good. Totally satisfied with their ambience and the food. Worth the money 😇
If there is one place you can visit to satiate your hunger pangs in Mahabalipuram, its the Bambino beach restaurant.
Overlooking the ocean with Bob Marley playing in the background, you can get yourself a plateful of fresh seafood made with their special spices.
Pair your meal with a glass of sweet lemonade and I can assure you, it doesn't get better than that!
Finally choosen the best sea food restaurant and had a good feast with my team members...prawn soup and prawn pepper fry was ultimate with final touch of our traditional Rasam..good service...nice guy who gave warm welcome and assisted for tasty food selection..need to visit with friends again

You can sit there for hours and relax. The day I saw this place. It's been my tiny hideout from the rest of the world. I am a frequent Mahabs visitor and every time I visit - I definitely check-in and relax for a while.
The waiters are very polite and courtious. The owner will personally come to you and talk about your food preferences. The sea food is off the hook. (No Pun intended!😋). The dishes they prepare are fresh and on the spot. I feel the rates are little on the higher side .
But again, a must visit place if you want to sit, relax and enjoy the view.

Being tired of Moonraker and its deteriorating food quality, we wanted to try something new and thats how we landed up in Bambino.. First the view from third floor was breathtaking and I guess that itself set our appetite on fire.. What followed for the next 1.5 hours was a culinary marvel of some sumptuous sea food feast- red snapper- one in butter garlic and one tawa fry, golden fired squid in butter garlic sauce, pepper praws.. each item competed with one another to invite our attention and in the end the gastronomical delight emerged as the winner.. The review can't be completed without the special mention of Mr. John, who made our experience stand out with all his friendliness.. Kudos to you John.
Guys, do visit this joint positively and the foodie in you shall jump with you!!!
This was our first visit to Bambino. The view was breath taking, albeit a warm day to enjoy the view. Food was reasonably priced. The service was awesome.

It's a new joint opened at mahabs.
Though it's on the same lines of moonrakers and sunrise, for visitors like me who visit mahabs pretty frequently, this place is indeed a good alternative.

Was here with my colleagues to cool off..!! This is definitely the best place to get a great view of the beach and spend a great evening..!! Have their own parking space..!! The service was simply outstanding and food was very good too..!!
My favorite pick for food items include, Chicken Sandwich - Toast, Cheese Omelette, Golden Fried Calamari (Must Try - the best along with their Garlic Sauce)..!! They are not in a rush to chase you away and you spend all the time you want, we were nearly there for 4 to 5 hours..!! They also have live crabs and lobsters which you can pick and choose for your dish..!!
Have to mention Mr. Jaffer, our waiter, he was always smiling, happy to serve and very friendly guy.. Do ask for him when you are there and he will be more than pleased to serve you..!! Also had some chat with the owner himself who was ensuring that our orders were served hot, fresh and on time..!!

Amazing sea food and a great view of the sea. A must go! We ordered the masala friend fish, which was so good that picky me also ended up finishing the plate and craving for more.
Absolutely delicious food! I was really craving seafood and they really came through! I had calamari, fresh fish, and prawns. It came by very quickly and had lots of flavor. Our server was so sweet and attentive, even though we were a large group of people (17)! I would come here again and I recommend it.
Restaurant is situated at third floor with nice beach view. Their live fish fry was very good. We can pick the fish we want and they will make fish curry from head and whole fish fry with rest of the fish. We also tried tawa prawns, pepper prawns, garlic chicken, chicken fried rice all were served hot and tasted yum. Ambience is well suited for families and kids. There is a limited parking space in ground floor if full should find space in streets nearby.

A must visit sea food restaurant near Mahabalipuram sea shore. It is located exactly 100 meters, far from the beach.
They have the complete fresh sea food menu, but tawa fry dishes were outstanding among any other menu. Even Chinese had a good taste as well.
They have live crab, tiger prawns, lobster, one can make choice of their own and make over the customization.
My recommendation:
1. Fish tawa fry - 9/10.
2. Prawns Tawa fry - 8/10.
3. Chicken 65 - 8/10.
4. Chicken fried rice - 8/10.
5. Egg fried rice - 7/10.

The absolute best seafood. I travelled from the other side of the world, and Bambino, was definitely on list of places that I must visit before returning. It is a requirement when you visit Chennai. The freshest of fish, with flavors so deep and so rich, it will blow your mind!

It was a great experience. I’m going for 2nd time here. The price of the fish and crab depends on seasons. Tawa fish fry is really good. Calamari is must recommend to try. This restaurant has a good ambience and view. You can enjoy the view with a beer.

The best place for seafood starters in mahabs without a question. Yummy, mouth watering food. The prawn masala fry and the tawa fish fry was super fresh and tasted heavenly and we ended up ordering them again. Was pleasantly surprised at how yummy veg starters were too. Even the fried rice tasted very good. The service was courteous, on point. There's a little bit of waiting time, and it's worth it. Most tables have the sea view and some have a view of the shore temple. Would recommend booking a sea view table I'm advance.

The best seafood I ever had. This is from some one who was born and brought up in a place which is sandwiched between sea and rivers. Absolutely wonderful experience. If you are in mahabalipuram or even in Chennai or pondicherry you must visit this restaurant.
All the dishes were absolutely mouthwatering and generously portioned. The restaurant manager was very friendly ( i think his name was santhosh) and helpful. Service was very efficient. They even made a milder version of chicken 65 for my kid. There was plenty of parking available which is not something you can say about most other restaurants around the area. Since this is located on a rooftop the views are amazing.
Fish masala made with black Snapper was so good we ended up licking the plate and the bones. Squid 65 was very very good. Chicken 65 was very good too . Rice with mean kulambu was very good too . My only regret is that I was unable to tip the cook for his amazing creations .
We were pleasantly surprised by the prices which turned out to be on the lower side .A must visit restaurant for anyone who loves sea food .

Really good place to chill and have some really good sea food by the sea. They have an amazing view and the level of fry was just perfect, soft and so tender. Their tawa prawns are to die for.
It is really a superb yummy seafood restaurant. Their seafoods are soo fresh and they cooked it with the right combo. We are family of 3 from Malaysia and we took the combo suggested by the owner who is such a friendly guy. We took the Kalava fish tawa fry with some delicious gray and the fish head was made into curry. Then we took lobster cooked in some spicy gravy, tiger prawns in masala n fried squid. This went well with white rice and rasam as suggested by the owner. The portion was more than sufficient for 3 pax and the price around Rp6K was reasonable for the food quality. We will surely visit again this place in future!! It is worth a visit!! We didn’t take any picture of the food as we became greedy after we saw the food 😬
