Great for breakfast. Joe’s that runs the place is very helpful, kind and informative. It’s a must visit place in Mahabs.
The place is perfect for breakfast. We ordered for plain pancake with honey, cheese and mushroom pancake and Nutella pancake. All three were amazing. Though the place doesn't have much review in zomato, it is a must visit when you reach Mahabalipuram.

Experience: Moments after entering the coastal town - stumbled upon Joe’s for a casual breakfast. Straightforward waiting staff who tell you on first sight that it might take 5-10 mins for them to take your order as they have a couple of previous orders to fulfil first.
Food: Masala omelette had distinct flavour to it, the pancakes were subtle sweet and tasted like any usual, by default the fruit juices don’t contain sugar (appreciated)
Remark: it’s a small joint - so don’t expect a laid back cosy experience. You can drop by for a quick bite and get your day’s itinerary going.
Closing Comments: easy on the wallet, good portion sizes, no-nonsense waiting staff, Interesting folks to look around, observe and pass time.
The food is good and the ambience is peaceful. Delicious early morning breakfast is served. Options are available for vegetarians too. Value for money.

Felt like I met a person who's really leading his dream with this cafe "Joe's cafe".
Their menu looks quite interesting, and the name of the dish served sounds fascinating as well!
They serve completely western and Italian, healthy refreshments, and food can be customized per once requirement.
Quality of food was good, and quantity was quite decent, price looks bit upmarket but once you taste the food that doesn't even matter 🤪.
It has a friendly ambiance, and it is best suitable to come with all the age group. If you are visiting, be early to get food served at your plate.

1. Chicken Tortilla with fries - 8/10.
2. Cheese corn omelet - 8/10.
3. Chicken sandwich - 8/10.

Joe's cafe is a small spot having 10 seatings for having refreshments. They provide a good variety of snacks. Price is little bit high as it's situated at walkable distance to the shore. Would recommend it for their authentic taste.

Love this spot. Everyone in town knows to come here for breakfast or an afternoon latte. We were lucky enough to be staying at the Silver Moon Guest house right above it. Joe (the owner) also does all of the cooking (he is a trained chef) and you can tell it is a labor of love. Everything from crepes and omelettes to sandwiches. Open to change orders to accommodate requests - just clearly wants his guests to be happy. Has lots of stories about his own travels and great recommendations for other restaurants, sightseeing, or anything else you might ever need. Free wifi and books available - best place to sit and read or relax your coffee and good food.

English breakfast combo which had tea/coffee, choice of fresh juice , fried egg, brown bread, chicken sausage and toasted mushroom,tomato. - Rs.270 - No complaints on this . A fulfilling combo to start the day with 😋

Tropical surprise - Rs.100 - A thick shake of Pineapple and banana with coconut milk.
Chocolate pancake - Rs.100 - This was a bit of a let down. It was more of a crepe type.
If you are not particular about the sea facing restaurants, then you can definitely try this one.
The food was really good. I tried burgers, English food and fresh juice, they were really good. A good place to sit and chill. Good place for family, couples and friends too.
Food was average... Service is good.. they have maintained their food taste on the basis of foreign visitors.. it's good to visit for that English taste.. overall atmosphere and service is good..

Excellent place. Authentic taste. Good cafe for continental cuisine. Great taste. As always Mr Joe is so so friendly and warm with his smiling face A must try. Highly recommended.
A great place for continental & American breakfast. Those bored with regular south Indian breakfast can drive to this place for a breakfast outing. Situated in a lane branching of the othavadai street a small place serving some delicious food. Cost is little pricey but doest not harm your pockets. Parking might be an issue on a busy weekend.
Amazing cafe. That suprisingly opens @ 7am in the morning , even on weekends. The owner of the cafe joe is a certified motographer💯. Great time spent . You can feel the positive aura .
One of the best breakfast places.. I will never miss going there whenever I travel across Mahabalipuram... Best in English breakfast.. You should definitely try their Jam which is made in-house...

A great place to have an early breakfast. The sausages were super juicy. Also the cheese mushroom omlette were out of the box. Even the Liver Cleanser juice was a healthy option I took. Its does come on the higher side in terms of cost.
Quite & tranquil ambience, fresh, nice & tasty food. This is the 2nd time I am visiting Mahabalipuram after 7 years & I had hoped to come back to Joe's since the last time I discovered this joint ❤️

Awesome continental breakfast with amazing flavours. Mr Joe is very friendly and hospitable. A great place for breakfast and to start the day with a good choice of dishes. The honey lemon as well as the cheese and mushroom (ragi) pancake is a must try.
The masala tea and black coffee was really good. Fresh juice is brilliant. We ordered ABC , orange and watermelon. All very good
The food was delicious here and all staff are friendly. Had a great time here. My favorite is pick me up which is a smoothie made of Banana, Coconut milk and Honey. Highly recommend this cafe. You can get the best coffee here.
