Best Pizza I've ever eaten. The place is amazing. Moreover, the ambiance and view add to the experience. Must visit for anyone visiting Mahabalipuram.
Small n hidden out place besidws the big giant neighbours.
We went looking out food, mainly vegetarian late afternoon and found this place after being dejected by the menu limitations we got from La Pizzeria's famous neighbours.
The place is pretty basic....not showiness.
Menu is mainly Italian.
Not so crowded.
We ordered for pasta in red sauce whuch i must say was yummy.
The pasta in pesto sauce was good too.
We also ordered Pizza Margarita and a Caramelised Banana for dessert which too were decent.
It was much more better foodwise than we expected.
The food is worth the money though it looked understaffed but they were able to manage the customers that were there that time.
Overall i loved it n would like to say its worth a try.
Truth be told this is the sister restaurant to Le Yogi, which is just across the street. They have the same menu but it has a totally different vibe here. Le Yogi has more of a one way view, Pizza de Mama has three sides open with more cross breeze. Two sides look across and up the main street. The other views into the temple yard.
Music is a critical part of Le Yogi and Pizza de Mama. Buddah Bar meets French contemporary here at Pizza de Mama. Buddah Bar meets American jazz, blues.
So the food is good at both locations, enjoy.
