A great ocean view restaurant with good seafood. All food are tasty and fresh. I often visit to Mahabalipuram on holiday. Not crowded and peaceful beach where you can see world heritage property.
Best place to have good. Very good hospitality. Fresh sea food. Halal. Beef steak must try.
Tawa Fish must try.
Choosing a quintessential restaurant in a place like Mahabalipuram is no easy task. Since I stayed in Mahabs, & after extension dining & drinking I've to suggest my favorite. The 1st on my list. It's has to be My Goodness. The seafood is just amazing here. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food as I said is absolutely amazing. Absolutely the best meal we had for a while. Highly recommend! And Service was delightful and very professional.
In a word, excellent. The food is wonderful. Fresh fish and prawns, amazing aloo gobi, and butter chicken. Spotlessly clean. Run by a really lovely couple. Faultless, and highly recommended. There are many restaurants to choose from in the town. This was by far the best, hence why we went back twice.

Great fresh fish well cooked ! We eat grilled fish: it was juicy and delicate. Crabs was delicious. Nice terrace in front of the sea, welcoming and kind people.
Had a very good experience here, both food and service is excellent. And price is also right for the quality and quantity. And it's pakka beach view too. Must Try Guys... :)
A good place to be for a drink and a bite with family or friends. They offer a lot of quantity, so be wise while ordering. I had ordered Squid, beef steak and chicken fried rice which was too much for average eaters like us. The squid masala needed some more cooking but otherwise the food is really good.
Dog lovers ask for “Pattu”, the friendly fluffy Golden Retriever and you won’t be disappointed 🐶
Clean and neat place. Taste is good but costly. Ambiance is good as compare to other restaurants near by. Serves pure Tamil style spices food. I would recommend this restaurant is you want to spent long and peaceful time while having food. We visited during last week of September 2021. We check few restaurants on beach but finally decided to go with this and we don’t regret the it.
Ordered Tawa Calamari, Tawa chicken and prawn Thokku and mixed fried frice . Taste is very good and quantity also high compared to other hotels . Its on the first floor , facing towards sea ( less than 100 meters ) .
Hotel is very clean and staff( Bala) also Courteous.
Aslso Mahabalipuram shore temple is visible from one end of the table.
Ensure you park your car outside ( you may have to walk 100 to 200 meters to reach the hotel ). Bala mentioned they plan to arrange car parking soon.
We will visit soon and planned to go regulary due to tasty food, sea view and good service.

The best and pocket-friendly sea food restaurant in Mahabs. Although you might find a normal ambiance the quality and value for money is exceptional. The freshness of the fish, squid and prawns are noteworthy. It is owned by a lovely couple who treat you as their family and serve food with love.
Being a foodie I love to explore new restaurants and I found one such in Mahabalipuram. Being a google local guide myself I trust google reviews of restaurants and I decided to try this place out and to my surprise it's hands down a 5 🌟 place.
The staff is very friendly and the hospitality is superb.
The overall service time is also pretty less but no compromise is made in the taste of your dish.
The food is really good here, especially sea food and the variety is vast.
Definitely a must try place if you ever visit Mahabalipuram.
Also the beach side location just adds the cherry on top and it's a very relaxing place.

Location is great. Seaside fishing village. Rustic. On the beach. Cuisine is chettinad style. Hot spicy masala with flavours. Fresh fish (obviously). Fresh seaside air. Enthusiastic waiter. Wish I could sit for some more time. But keep in mind that this is not a star facility. It is a space on top of the fishing village community hall put to excellent use.
Ispote of the language, Priya was extremely sweet and recommended great fish curry and rice. The tawa calamari was tasty af. It is sea facing restuarant so eating with the sea breeze made my trip to Mahabalipuram. The family that runs the place were very sweet and kind.
Omg I was blown away by the amazing sea view and most delicious sea food... squid and chicken 65 were awesome. Best Fish kolambu ever.. Will definitely visit again and again.. after a long time had a special time at My Goodness with friends and family ...

Ordered jeera rice with fish curry, Tawa prawn, and golden fried calamari. The masala taste was very good. The sizes of the prawn and calamari were a decent size and fresh. Fish curry was Tangy and spicy. Reaching the location was the only difficulty faced, roads were narrow no parking spot. Prices were reasonable and friendly service. Overall good experience
