To start with the food. The parathas are just awesome. I am huge fan for his Rajma Dal. The best part is they make it all fresh so it’s not pre cooked meals here.

Outstanding food, excellent service. I’ve been here twice and probably will come back before I leave Manali. I’ve had Kadai Paneer and Dal Rajma, both sublime.
The owner served very fresh food and ot was very delicious. We had mixed sabji, kadai paneer and rotis. Everything was super delicious and fresh. He chopped veges after we placed order, made fresh dough for each roti we ordered.

This cafe serves the best biryani in Old Manali. It has a tandoor to keep the place warm. The place usually stays open until 10:30-11 pm. You would also love how the host always has a smile on his face while serving you.
I had a delicious masala trout that came with very flavourful sides of mixed veg and salad.
The owner was also gracious, attentive and really made me feel welcome, which is lovely as a solo traveller.
I'll be back for sure!

Amazing food and one of the best hospitality. As i am from Hospitality background & i can certainly say the guy ( smiley bhaiya) accomodated us very humbly. Had kadai chicken ,aloo gobhi and rajmah anndddd allloo paratha which were ziiingg ziinnnnnggg amazing. Best part food was at very budget rate. Reasonable price and amazing food and best hospitality .

Whenever I visit Old Manali we always make sure we eat at this place. This cafe gives the perfect peaceful ambiance. The opens up early as compared to other cafe's . I remember everyday having tea and breakfast in the morning. The owner of the cafe is very friendly. The food is well presented and tasty. My favourite is the veg cheese sandwich and white sauce pasta.
Food is really tasty, tea paratha and noodles were tasty.
Owner was very welcoming he made our last meal in the city quite memorable.

This place exists on Google? I have been trying to locate this business so I can tell the world what a lovely cafe this is. It's run by a very warm and kind Rajesh Bhai ji. We stayed in Manali for two weeks and ended up eating here on the regular. His chai is also the best! Food is cooked fresh and it's so homely. I really do wish this café all the best! Hoping to come back soon to Manali in the summers.
Had butter chicken here for two days straight and it was soo soo good. It's not in their menu but you can ask them to make it, highly suggested.
Run by Rajesh Ji, its a very good place to work from. With big tables and good wifi it offers excellent views!

Very good chef. Cooks by order. Everything is cheap and fresh. In the handwritten menu, they are serving choosen delicious and fresh items.

This place saved me while I was in Old Manali. It's really hard to find any restaurant or café that opens before 9 am. There are some places that open but their seating isn't as comfortable as Hangout's. Rajesh (the owner) opens the café by 7:30-8:00 am. I found myself at Hangout almost every single day, at least once. I had the Masala Omelette, Spanish Omelette, Veg Sandwich, Toast Butter Jam, and Puri Baaji. The food was fresh and tasted good. In North India, an omelette usually has bread inside it, you can request Rajesh to serve you the bread separately. Also, if you order tea anywhere in Himachal, your tea will have the flavour of cinnamon, ginger or some spice. If you like your tea plain, you can request Rajesh to make you plain tea without any spices.
The Hangout has a calm vibe and while you dine in the morning, you slowly see the street come back to life. You'll see the 'Malishs' (masseurs) walking by, Rajesh is extremely sweet, he even lets you get a leg massage inside his café. He plays chill instrumental music that's very refreshing in the morning. The next time I'm in Old Manali, I'm definitely going back.
Nice, clean cafe serving good food. The only cafe in the area that opened as early as 8-8.30 am.... if your're like me and need that cup first thing in the morning. The owner is a sweet, polite, helpful, soft spoken gentleman making it a place I kept going back to. Do try it out.
