This place doesn't need an intro.. simply the best sea food restaurant in Mlore.. parking is the only concern.. must try - Anjal Tawa, Squid/Prawns dry fry.
Craving for this place everytime I'm out of Mangalore. Always on my task list when I'm back home. #BestSeaFoodResturant in #Mangalore
OMG! This place is a haven for sea food lovers! I would give 6 stars if I could. The ambience isn't all that great. We went for Sunday lunch and it was a task to get in and grab a seat. But, with food like that, I would give everything else a pass. We had some pomfrets, seer fish and fried prawns. Oh my, i don't think i have had such good prawns or fish! So fresh and yet to so well cooked. I would drive all the way from Bangalore to have this food :D
Giri Manja is located near Kalikamba temple, Gopalakrishna temple road. This legendary place is known for their sea food and fish thali. If I have to suggest someone the best seafood restaurant in Mangalore, then I'd suggest Giri Manja. We ordered fish thali, prawns golden fry, anjal tawa fry and coconut lime soda. They serve boiled rice as well as white rice, it depends on individual choice. I really loved those perfect golden fried prawns. Though masala was dominating in anjal tawa fry, still you can feel the flavour of fresh anjal fish . You can feel the rich flavour of coconut oil in those dishes which was completely new to us. Fish thali was just fantastic with that fish gravy and dal, total worth the money. It's better if you visit this place before 1pm, otherwise it'll be packed. This restaurant is very simple, located inside a small house. So don't expect any classy ambience. There's no parking area for cars, so it's better to take two wheeler or auto-rickshaw.
Finally, Got to visit @giri.manjas for lunch, and I'm glad that I finally did it.
Fish Thali:
There's an option of White rice or boiled rice, and I chose white rice. The fish gravy, was a traditional Fish Coconut Gravy, and it reminded me of my childhood days, when my grandma used to prepare this traditional Fish curry. The thali is perfect in its own way, and the rice is unlimited.
Price:50
Rating: 5/5.
Prawns Tawa Fry:
Who doesn't love prawns, especially the big ones❤. Perfectly Cooked, fresh prawns were served, in a spicy gravy.
Price:190
Rating: 5/5.
The staffs are so friendly, and the place is well maintained.
Overall a place that everyone must try, if you're in Mangalore🤙❤ Location: Kalikamba Cross Road, Lower Car Street.
💓💞one of best sea food restaurant with perfection .. superb masala fry...memories..💞💓
You get the best sea food in mangalore here. We had fish thali, Anjal fry, chicken ghee roast , fish ghee roast . The service and the hospitality provided here is equivalent to what you would find in a fine dining restaurant.
Lovely authentic fish meals and a extremely good prawn ghee roast. This place is highly recommended to visitors and locals alike for their superb konkani fish delicacies!!
Ps can be crowded most of the time !
The food is epic. The fish is incredibly fresh and the masala is really good. Must try the prawns golden fry and fish tawa fries.
Awesome place you can never forget!!
At this place, you will feel like you are in a heritage place, everything starting from seating arrangement to the way they serve will look like a pure authentic touch. I will love to visit here when ever I am near by.
Best place for sea food lovers!
The place served very delicious food. Especially the tawa butter fish. Anyone traveling to Mangaluru must try this. Anant was a brilliant host, he served us well.
Giri Manja's is a place which doesn't seem like it has much to offer, from the outside.. Upon entering you may even find that it may not be a suitable place to bring your family along.. But one thing's for sure, Giri Manja's definitely has the best lunch combo in mangalore in it's rice meals and Anjal Tawa fry! It's definitely a must visit for seafood lovers and plus the staff are extremely nice and polite and the service is quick
Very humble and polite staff. You're welcomed as a guest in their house and given a brief of their dishes of the day. Unlimited rice and curry served here. Food is authentic Mangalorean and a perfect balance of spice and flavour. Squid batter fry, prawns ghee roast and kingfish masala fry was simply sumptuous and filling. I will recommend fish curry with white rice and not the boiled rice as the boiled rice has a taste of its own and fish curry tastes better with the white rice. Must visit if you're in Mangalore. Cheers!
One of the best place for Fish and Seafood. They serve some really authentic dishes at a very budget price. The ambiance is homely and normal. So visit this place if your priority is food and not ambiance. There is no parking. It's in an interior road. Typical Konkani dishes served here and
Must try Tawa Fry, Pulimunchi , Sukka , Hinga udda
We 10 friends from mumbai went on a trip to chikmagulur and coorg and this place was on our list to visit - Thanks to our mangalorean friend who introduced us to this place. So while returning to mumbai we visited this place and as we entered could feel the aroma of spices and grilled fish. Having food here feels like you are at home. Hospitality , staff attitude , food are all upto the mark. We ordered surmai fry , pomfret fry , prawns fry , prawns curry and had with the meals. If somehow travelled to mangalore again in future , Giri Manja's is sure shot to be visited.
Taste was deliseous, all type of sea food in authentic taste of Mangalore. Crowed place, improvement needed in ambiance. Price is in higher side but full paisa wasool
Giri Manja's is an experience in itself. This is truly one of a kind. You are seated inside the house of an old Konkana family.
You can order your sides with the meals served.
Till my last visit i have tried Surmai, pomfret silver fish and prawns. Exceptional quality of food and always fresh seafood
Anybody visiting Mangalore make it a point to go to this place. Parking may be a hassle, kindly use public transportation to get there.
Keep up the good work :)
Trip to Mangalore is incomplete without a visit to the iconic Girimanjas. Located in the narrow by lanes of Car Street, this legendary outlet is one of the premier places for seafood. We tried the Fish Meal, Anjal Tawa Fry, Prawn Golden Fry, Squid Deep Fry along with Bonda (coconut sherbet). Each and every item was top notch. Trust me, I have never tasted squid this good anywhere else. Their Anjal Tawa Fry is a must order here, that secret masala is to die for. Pricing is dirt cheap (the unlimited fish thali comes for a mere 50/- bucks). It's a teeny tiny place which can accommodate about 15 people at the max. Do ask for the specials of the day when you visit.
Simple Restaurant and located interior part of city, thank god to taxi service didn't find difficult to reach the restaurant. Best thing here getting table always crowded and luckily got the table. its just typical sea food restaurant. we had ordered for fish thali with Pomplet and Kane fry. We missed anjal due non availability. food is good with unlimited rice and curry. finally tasted prawn ghee roast.
Best place for sea food lovers in Mangalore, in short it’s a sea food heaven.visit once for special Anjal ( seer fish ) Tava fry and butter fish as well.
Authentic Mangalorean food in very simple surrounds and very fairly priced. Food is incredibly rich and loaded with local spices. Eat everything that is available, worth the wait!!
One of the main fish meal places in Mangalore, it’s usually mentioned in one of the top 2 places for excellent seafood! Expect no frills here, just great food! Located in the busy area of Bandar, the place is super crowded with eager diners...luckily we got there real early and beat the crowds. We went for the bangude tawa fry (mackerel) which was the best among all the fish dishes we went for, the anjal (seer fish) tawa fry, the prawns rava fry, squid ghee roast and the rice meals. The good part abt their prawns fry was that they even tossed in some green chillies in the mix, making the dish even more flavourful! Ending the meal with the buttermilk, our stomachs were full and we had a smile on our face by the time we stepped out! Do not miss!
One of the bestest restaurant for all sea food lovers. This place is very popular and crowded so the best time to visit is 12pm lunch. This place is home turned restaurant and also the menu is limited. Due to which the service is really very quick and also staffs are very friendly. Everyday there’s different type of fish curry served in fish thali with unlimited rice, rasam & dal. I have visited this place many times & its one of my favourite sea food restaurant. We had fish thali, prawns golden fry, squid fry, promfet tawa fry & chicken pepper. The best part was the bonda sherbet which was very refreshing.
Amazing fish thali and seafood place. Typical home style decor. Can get very crowded so be there on time. Loved the fish thali, anjal tawa fry(musttry), prawns golden fry( best) & squid deep fry. I never had such melt in mouth squid in my life. Bonda juice went well with the meal. The staff was friendly and we chatted quite a lot regarding seafood. Dont miss it when in Mangalore.
If you are a seafood lover and visiting Mangalore, Giri Manja's is a place you cannot miss. The place is very popular, so best time to visit will be by 12pm for lunch. On last weekend I was in Mangalore and paid a visit to Giri Manja's and it was totally worth the craze.
We had fish meal which comes with boiled/white rice, fish curry/dal, a very small piece of fish (we were served silver fish), veg porial, hot kokum drink and pickle. The meal is simple and priced at rupees 50 only.
The best part was seafood that we ordered separately, anjal tawa fry, prawns golden fry and squid(bondas) fry. Anjal fry was served with a spicy masala and adding a tinge of lime makes it perfect.
Prawns golden fry and bondas fry I loved the most. The outer masala coating gives a crisp but the meat inside was melt in mouth. I never had so soft squid anywhere else.
Must try restaurant if you are a sea food lover. All the fish is delicious. Speciality if this place is Tawa fry , ghee roast , butter fry, sukka.
Food - 5
Ambience is homely experience costal karnataka experience.
Authentic Mangalore seafood served here that keeps you satisfied and wanting more.well managed with polite staff and pocket friendly .lovely home ambience here.must visit place in mangalore.
No amount of rating, no review would justify the beauty of this place, this is a amazing setup in a homely place with superb service, the food here is authentic, go for the fish fry, ghee roast no place ka food will taste better than here, the costing is also on the lower side
A seafood speciality!!!
I recently visited this place on being suggested by my cousins as a famous outlet for seafood delicacies. The ambience is like an old heritage home converted to an eating space that makes you feel at home. The queue outside the restaurant will give you an idea of the popularity of the place. The butter fish and prawns tawa masala was worth it.
This place is a home turned into a restaurant with very limited menu. The limitation in menu helps them provide you a quick service and that too really really fresh. I was asked by many people to go try their fish meals. The moment it was served I see there us rice, varieties of veggies and a fish gravy with one really small piece of fish (unlimited). Then I understood that I’m supposed to order fish separately. That’s how I got Anjal Fish fry and it was fire. I loved their style of dead spicy food. If you’re in Mangalore and a non vegetarian then Giri Manja’s a landmark.
Fish lovers , do need to try out Giri manjA.
Fish thali with lot of options available Anjal tawa fry, prawns , bangude , etc etc .
Squid fry is unique and taste ....
Prawns biryani , special fish gravy do need to be try out items...
Had been to this place last week with my friends. The whole reputation for this place is definitely for the food they serve here. Ordered non veg thali which was good. Cocum rasam would be a good try here.Coming to the sea food ordered prawns ghee roast, prawns golden fry, Anjal tawa. Everything is fantastic here. Definitely this place is one of the best ones for sea food in Mangaluru. Maybe we shouldn’t name it as a restaurant it is a local mess where the food is served quick and crowds are always expected.
Though the place is small, the service is good. The staffs are polite and kind. Tasty food. Bonda sharbath is an add on to the delicious food. Over all a good place to go with friends and family.
After so many visits to Mangalore we happened to visit Giri Manja's this time. I would say it's an experience.
We waited for 15mins to get a table and It was worth waiting in the sultry and sunny afternoon.
They have not renovated and maintained the antique interiors of the house which adds to the experience.
We ordered meals with Anjal tava fry and Squid fry.
If you are not from the konkan belt u shud definitely try the rasam.
This was one of the most satiating meal Ive had so far.
The staff were friendly, even with such a crowd they dint deny to refill.
Worth every penny and a must visit in Mangalore.
This place felt like walking into your grandma’s house! Anjal Tawa fry, and Butter fry are the must try Fishes! Prawns ghee roast is a typical mangaloren fish variety! It was super delicious! They change their menu everyday. Their Fish thali is just for Rs. 40/plate. With unlimited Rice and curry. Must visit place when in Mangalore!
Ambience-3/5

This is one amazing hotel I found in mangalore. Vintage kind of building, small place but the best one in mangalore. Fingerlicking taste , u don't want to leave even the smallest piece of fish in the plate. Amazing!!
The most iconic place for non-vegetarians in Mangalore. The place is quiet small n location is also bit difficult to findout. But once the food is served you forget everything. We had ordered fish thali, lemon prawn masala and anjal tawa fry. I loved every bit. Be it the prawn masala or anjal fry both were very delicious. Lemon n garlic flavours were well balanced in prawn masala n the anjal fry was soft and perfectly cooked. The price is very pocket friendly n service too is good.
Right in middle of Manglore market in by lanes (car parking a concern) but very crowded place becoz of popularity among locals . waiting time min 10-15 mins..Place is old house converted into tasty place... Standard thali with fish/chicken prepared as per ur style Rawa fry / Masala Fry / Tawa fry / Ghee roast.. All type of fresh seafood is on card.. Well one can sweat it out while enjoying spicy mouthwatering fish .. Keep drinking Machige to cool ur self.. Find the place is tough but GPS Baba can guide u perfectly...

One of the best sea food restaurant in mangalore. I love in it. Awesome thali and fish fry items are outstanding. Nice staffs and they treat you nicely even on rush hours.
When it comes to Sea food its Giri Manja's for sure. One of the restaurant that serves the best sea food in Mangalore.
Has ordered the Non Veg thali which came with various vegetables and some fish curry. The thali also came with Kokum rasam which was awesome. Also ordered the Anjal tawa fry and prawns golden fry. Anjal tawa fry was really really good. Anjal fish was nicely done with awesome masala taste. Prawns golden fry was really nice and crispy. It was fried in batter with curry leaves and green chillies. So simple yet so flavourful. Try the buttermilk after meal. Really refreshing.
A definitely go to restaurant again and again.
Went here with my father. I was told that it is a must visit place in Mangalore if I like sea food. Place looks like a small house. It has three small rooms with seats and tables. I ordered fish meals, squids, Prompet tawa fry and butter milk. Food was too tasty. It had best taste I had in Mangalore. Overall, it was best experience of food I had in Mangalore.
A fish lovers paradise for real. Have been to quite a lot of fish meal places and also had my favourites but that was before I had eaten at the Hiring Manjas. Absolutely the freshest fish , real friendly and prompt service and reasonable prices and actually the canteen like old world ambiance actually adds to the experience.
We had a mandatory rice meal , with unlimited servings of everything on the plate , a choice of boiled or white rice ( we took one each ) with three vegetables , two dry one gravy , a curried piece of Sardinia fish , tangy mango uppard ( spicy pickel) and papas , at the cost of Rs 50 each . To accompany the meals we ordered a portion each of Tawa fried Anjan ( king fish ) @ Rs 230 and a prawn fry ( on excellent advice from our server , we were planning to order a prawn ghee roast but he insisted that the fry would be better ) @ Rs 180. Huge slab of perfectly done Anjana and a heart portion of freshest fried prawns , heavenly delights . As we waited for our meals our server made us taste a tangy peppery soup kind of liquid with a kokum base , a great aptif .
A very very satisfying experience , which I intend to repeat on my every visit to this beautiful town.
Highly recommended
Enjoy
It looks like it's an old house converted into a small homestyle restaurant. The main food they serve is fish curry meals and all kinds of seafood sides. The best time to visit this place is for lunch. We had fish meals with vanjaram fish fry, pomfret fry and prawns roast. Each and every dish was awesome. Prawns ghee roast and vanjaram fish fry are a must try in here. Make sure to reach there early or else you might miss some nice dishes. The staffs here are quite friendly and explain everything they have well.
here it is nice experience so good sea food availabilityhere ...plz come & enjoy your food here. fish fry masala also very good very tasty i am still 12 times visited in this restaurant
We Went Looking For GiriManjas As We Had Heard A Lot About It.
It's A Small Little Old Traditional Structure Converted Into A Small Hotel Which Is A Charm By Itself.
The Service Was Excellent. The Steward Explained Everything Twice As We Were Not Able To Understand The Menu & Helped Us To Decide What We Wanted To Order.
Each And Everything That We Ordered Was Top Class.
King Fish, Prawns Deep Fried, Squid Ghee Roast & Bonda Lime ( Lime & Tender Coconut Juice ) Was Out Of This World.
Ambience : 6/10
Food : 9/10
Location : 8/10
One of the most renowned restaurant in India and also featured in couple of articles and news for its renowned sea food .
Even if the restaurant is famous, the food embarks his popularity.
I tried butter fish , prawns golden fry and anjal tawa fry . All the three dishes were awesome specially the prawns . The butter was also nice prepared with right combination of spices . Also I tried for the first time coconut lime which was refreshing.
Strongly recommended for people who are visiting to mangalore.
The best place to have sea food and a thali. Tried some mouth watering seer fish, sole fish and prawns pepper. Also had a non veg thali. Can't wait to visit the place again.
Today I visited Giri Manja Hotel, which is in Bunder to try out their New Year offer. It was amazing!
The food was good, and they serve unlimited rice and curry. The place is very crowded getting a seat is a problem. Also, there is no parking place, that's a huge drawback. I would suggest you to take a Auto rickshaw / Tuk Tuk or you can ride your 2 wheeler and park it besides the hotel.
It's actually a tiny little shack, but the food here will blow your mind. Very reasonably priced as well. Definitely a must eat spot if you're ever in Mangalore.
The staff was really friendly and recommended all the seasonal stuff. There's nothing much if you're expecting ambience, but the place has a rustic charm. I had Fried Prawns and the seasonal tawa fried Butter Fish along with the rice thali. The prawns were good and the ButterFish was so delicious, the meat so tender it melts in your mouth. I also recommend the tender coconut drink after the meal!
Being a Mangalorean, and living in the city for over a decade, the day had finally come when I had visited Giri Manja's for lunch! Thinking it would be super crowded and we would have to wait for a table, we had initially decided to sit in their new building to eat lunch. This is located just diagonally opposite to their main outlet. However, with our luck, we got to sit comfortably in the house and that too right under the fan in one of the rooms in the back.
As soon as we sat down, the server came to ask us what we wanted to order. He rattled off the endless list of side items on the menu. We were a group of 3 and I, yours truly, was the only vegetarian while the other two were non - vegetarians.
We ordered for 3 meals and two sides.
In the Veg Meal, the compartment plate comprised of Pickle, Bhendi Upkari, Muga Gashi (Sprouted Green Gram Curry), Kadgi Chakko (Raw Jackfruit Side Dish), Boiled Rice, Dhalithoy and Pappad. The pickle was good, but not extremely spicy like other pickles. I dipped my index finger and placed it on my tongue just to taste it. Pickles are not my favorite, but whenever it is served, I just have to taste it. The Boiled Rice was cooked well and it was so soft that once you put a morsel in your mouth, it would just melt in your mouth! The bhendi upkari was a little bit watery, so just skipped eating that item. The Muga Gashi was also watery but tasted yummy as it was packed lots of flavour just like in any of the popular Konkani gravies served with rice. The Dhalithoy was loaded with hing and that is what makes it taste oh so good! My tummy was full after one big helping of rice. If there was more place in my stomach, I would have definitely taken some more rice. Better save something for next time!
In the Non Veg Meal, the items were same as the Veg Meal, but the extra item was a Non Veg Gravy. Today, it happened to be Bhoothai (Sardines) gravy. The gravy, there were sufficient number of pieces which were served as well.
The two side dishes which we had ordered were: Butter Fish Tava Fry and Anjal Tava Fry. The Butter Fish - better known as "Konande" in Kannada was really huge! The masala was coated all over and you could just smell the flavours as the plate was kept on the table. Please note that there are lots of bones in Butter Fish, so please be careful while eating it. The Anjal Tava Fry is also a very popular fried item. It bursts out with flavor that will make your taste buds dance! Some tend to share the fried fish dishes, but to those who can savour it on their own, kindly go ahead and relish each morsel.
As we were eating, more and more customers started walking in. They had to wait in line as all the tables were full.
Nandini Pai, is the wife of late Manjunath Pai. He was affectionately called as Manjanna. I am sure Seafood Lovers visit Giri Manja's several times a week.
As Giri Manja's is an old house converted into a restaurant, you will feel like you are sitting in the comfort of your own home and eating lunch. The tiled roof and red oxide tiles make it very cool inside even though the temperatures might be rising inside your mouth as the food will be served piping hot. The side dishes will be spicy as well.
This restaurant has become famous all over the world. I have read reviews about people visiting Mangaluru just to try out the food and they have come out with a huge smile on their face and tummies filled to the brim!
In case you cannot go to the restaurant to taste the popular delicacies, you have the option of Take Away or Delivery. The taste is just as good. Food is packed neatly and the temperature remains hot.
If you have never visited Giri Manja's, then you have to so that you can also tell others about your experience. The taste is out of this world.
Definitely Giri Manja's is a seafood lover's paradise!:-)
Food: 5/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Only giving a four because I was on a vegan diet when I went there.. Urrggghhh.. Honestly their traditional fish dishes look so good I could barely resist. A small outlet in the lost lanes with rustic feels and amazing food! I'm sold ♥️

Never expect that a giant food chain or big hotel will get good food. This is the place where you get best sea food, probably you won't get better tasty sea food else where ...THE BEST PLACE for sea food I ever had. Thanks girimanjas
No wonder this place is such highly rated .
The food here is super.
Anjali tawa fry.
Prawns ghee roast..
Muru tawa fry ..
All special Mangalorean food at its best.
Usually very crowded and opens its doors from 11 till 3:30.
If you want the best, wait for it..
A small setup which serves finger licking food. Tastes Nothing less than home cooked food.
Fresh fish cooked with their tasty mangalorean masalas.
Best place to have variety of seafood dishes..
Healthy, tasty and fills you stomach as well as your heart..😉.
Best price, clean surroundings,good food
I adore this place!! ❤
The home styled seating reminds me very much of my grandmother and her fish curries. Having eaten at Giri Manja's multiple times, this place has never failed me. The food, the service and the love with which every dish is served, overwhelms you each time you visit. Unlimited fish meals (everything is unlimited except the fish 😏, but hey, that's how it should be for the super affordable price) start for as low as rs. 50, and is a great option if you want to go cheap. Other dishes are quite affordable too. The taste here is simply brilliant, and is a great place to visit for lunch if you love seafood.
Tip to avoid rush hour crowd: Visit early, preferably by opening hours. If visiting early isn't possible, visit towards the end, before the restaurant closing hours. A pro foodie tip: Visiting towards the end is great because fish curry flavors intensify after a few hours of heating/reheating. 😍 While the place is crowded all the days of the week, try avoiding weekends if possible.
Tastiest Bangude I have ever eaten.
Ghee roast prawns and Golden fry Prawns were also very tasty.
Good environment within restaurant and good service.
Prices are reasonable as well...
"Crowd" is the first word to explain this place. But it's worth to wait if you are mad for seafood. To be Honest If you are Goan then you won't find the place much fascinating as comparing rates and quantity it's expensive. But there is no denial to the tasty food they served.
Situated in the hustle-bustle of the city and on a very narrow street is this restaurant. This restaurant has to be in my top 5 restaurants of the all time. The reason: Anjal Tawa Fry.
One of the best fish I have ever tasted. Freshly cooked, what a marination, and served so well with fish thali. It's just an icing on the cake. The food is server instantly like under 10 mins. And their staff is so so friendly. I visited this place in the afternoon and the waiters specially attends to each and every guest. The waiter serving my table asked me several times if I was comfortable, what I liked what I did not. He made sure I am having a good time while I am dining in at the restaurant.
You can tell from the interiors. This place used to be the home of the owners which they converted into a restaurant. The locals love this restaurant. You will see so many locals coming for lunch and dinner here.
The place is always buzzing with people as this is one of the most famous restaurants in Mengaluru. Easy recommendation and do visit this when in Mengaluru. You won't regret it.
P.S. This is one of the reasons why I love Mengaluru.
Accomplished one wish in my bucket list. Giri Manja is not your usual mangalorean sea food joint. The sea food here has a unique blend of ingredients that are tangy to the palate and divine. You could feel the freshness of the fish by its texture. Ananth, who waited on me, is a connoisseur in describing the menu of the day. Tucked in the by lanes of Car Street, you'll need an accurate GPS to take you to the spot. There's no dedicated parking space, but one can find parking in the narrow lanes. Better take an auto rickshaw. It's worth all the trouble. When in Mangalore, put G&M in your wish list, too.
A homely style restaurant with awesome food and unlimited refill for rice or fish curry and vegetable. The fish curry rice plate was at Rs.120 a bit higher compared to the average. The Muru fish tawa Masala was very tasty and masaledaar. It was priced at Rs. 180. Buttermilk was for Rs.10 only
Good place to have lunch and dinner, located in car street Mangalore near kalikambha temple. This place serves meals with variety of seafood coastal cuisines. Must visit place when you're in Mangalore.
Just loved the food 🥹🤌🏻 it was super delicious 🙌🏻💯
Sea food lovers don’t miss this place when in Mangalore
The staffs and service was really good.
The waiter was kind and suggested us few dishes 💯
And the place has its own aesthetic vibe 🫶🏻
Overall it’s a much visit to this restaurant 💯
Amazing food, Amazing place, Anjal Tawa fry is to die for. Other must tries is are Prawns, Chicken Ghee roast and Squid Fry(Bondas fry).
Bonda Lime is a really refreshing drink.
Amazing food. What I love here is how quick the service is. I think this is the fastest ever service I have ever seen .. You name it and you get it in a minute. The squid fry, butterfish are to die for. The benches are not that comfortable to sit, but they give that old mangalore home vibe.
Awesome place to have awesome food. It's a paradise for Non vegetarians. Prawn ghee roast and Pomfret masala are next level.
A very different experience of mlorean food and it was very very good! The food is different from other places such as maharaja or Machali esp the ghee roast. The place has a very homely vibe, service is quick and the server kept giving us recommendations. The prawns fry was very different! Overall a very nice experience asn we'll be back for sure!
Tbh it’s a over hyped place.
it’s location is inconvenient. Firstly no parking, don’t even think of driving there. Secondly, it’s always crowded and you need to wait for a place to sit. Seating is like a mess type, adjust madkoli..
However food is good. Tasty sea food offerings but slightly expensive.
If your ok with the above and want to enjoy food, than I would say ok for a visit.
Love the food, taste. You don't get such taste anywhere. Must visit place for fish lovers ❤️
The interior of Giri manjaas is changed, the traditional stool table is changed with proper chair table, ambience is improved, taste is the same, it satisfied my fish craving from Last visit in March to Giri manjaas.
Amazing drink the kokum water . Food was good & fresh . The golden prawn abx the Anjal fry was nice . Should have ordered the veg thali and the sea food on the side cos the veg looked great
I recently tried a seafood restaurant that served the most amazing fish dishes. The fish was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, and each bite was a delightful combination of tender fish and delicious seasonings. The restaurant's attention to detail in presentation and taste made the dining experience truly memorable. Whether it was grilled, fried, or in a curry, the fish dishes were absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place to all the seafood lovers out there. Let me know if you want more details or if there's anything else I can help with!
Girimanja's is one of the oldest and famous restaurant in Mangalore, It has maintained the taste and quality of the food these many years. They have renovated the restaurant now, And it way better for the dinning in. We had white rice with fish gravy, Tawa fried Anjal, prawns ghee roast, we also had a juice which is made of lemon 🍋 juice and coconut water. Overall experience was amazing.
Simply superb, If your focus is on fish, there is no need to order meals, just the fish tawa will be sufficient
