Firstly the Ambience is magical. Great theme to go with. Amazing interiors which just lits up the spirits for an exciting meal. Good lighting and lovely spacious seating. Good thing being it's neat and clean.

More to a fine dining affair than casual. Beautiful ambience and attentive staff. Spirits are available. A bit heavy on the wallet, however the quantity given per dish serves two comfortably. Mangalore style fish curry with seasonal fish is lipsmacking.
Absolutely loved the ambience. The food was amazing. There is ample parking space and the staff are professional and courteous.
For starters we ordered Prawns Sukka, King Fish Masala and Mutton Ghee Roast.
For Mains we ordered Prawn Fried Rice and Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice.
Desert had to be the Sizzling Brownie.

Rumali roti was really good. Village special chicken was recommended by the staff, it was only okay. Fried rice was good, both paneer and chicken.
Paneer chilly and chicken chilly had the same gravy, so vegetarians might have a problem with that.

Really good service. The staff collected the birthday cake from us and presented it with a birthday song and all. Thank you.
This is a wonderful restaurant. The reason being that I cant think of a single dish that I tried which turned out disappointing. This is a great place to order from and an even better place to dine in. The ambience is soothing and during the world cup they even display the matches on the projector. Definitely would reccomend to all.

Had been on a weekday. The ambience is cool and nice. Got seat immediately. The staff is responsive. Food is amazing. Lot of options and tasty too. Have ordered chicken manchow soup, chicken ghee roast, tandoori roti, mutton rogan josh, lime soda, draught beer, goan style mutton pulao. All were yummy. Price is bit on higher side though.
Village has the perfect ambience for a dining out. Thier service is never late and the food is top notch. My personal favourites is the Village Special sizzler. Two good sized chicken steaks drenched a two different sauce based dressing with an ample quantity or rice and veggies. The next on list is the special fried rice with a prawns and chicken sides. Its a winner

Have been here many times. This is one of the best place in Mangaluru to chill with families and friends. The restaurant looks too good with its theme where you will find a boat also the roof with its finest cultural theme including the household stuffs. The hospitality is also too good. But once I do remember when I was here with my friends the staffs were not that polite and that did not make us feel comfortable. But this never happened again when I visited number of times. Have tried many dishes here. Some of them are:
1)GOBI MANCHURIAN : Im not a Manchurian fan but here they serve it crispy. I loved it.5/5
2)CHICKEN SHANGAI : This was too food with all the sauces cooked well and served with a good consistency. The flavour of pepper is amazing and it goes along very well. 5/5
3)PERI PERI CHICKEN : I swear I have never had anything spicier than this in my life. The spice was on the higher side that our taste buds were almost down. The dish was nothing but spicy. Thank God they did serve us with a salad and it helped a lot. It was almost like the fish fry masala with extra spice which was half cooked and then mixed with chicken. We were recommended to try this. But I would not recommend to taste this unless you are a spice lover. 1/5
4)CRISPY CHICKEN : This was good crispy dish.4/5
5)CHICKEN KHEEMA RICE : They serve the best Kheema Rice. Must try. 5/5

You have to visit this restaurant for fish.. having said that it does not mean other items are not good but fish is best.. we had some panner starter, chicken starter and masala king fish.. panner starter was good, chicken was very good and fish was awesome. If it's on lawn not best place to have other are good.. service was ok ok.. waiter forgot our order but made up for that by giving complimentary item..

one of the best restaurants that I have visited across India, Village has its own identity that have it attract more of the customers. you can literally grab your own stars like crap and ask them to cook and its like fresh. you don't have to worry about the quality of food you can blindly have faith on them and even the staff is very cooperative which makes this restaurant in the list of my another visit.
Great ambience and good food - the combination never disappoints. This is one of such places. We went to this place in a hurry to catch a flight, so couldn’t eat much, but still we had a taste of their famous Chicken Ghee Roast, Chicken Biriyani and Tawa fish fry. The chicken was so good, Biriyani was nice, and the fish was okay. Will definitely go back to this place to try out some of their other signature dishes! 😊

Village Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Mangalore, particularly if you're in the mood for Mangalore staples. It is without question that the seafood here is the star of the show, however they have an extensive menu that includes various South Indian as well as North Indian dishes. I went here for lunch with my friend one day, and we had a variety of food to try. To begin, we had the squid ghee roast, which was cooked perfectly. The deep, dark red chilis in the roast complimented the squid, which wasn't chewy at all. Next, we had the chicken sukka with porottas. The chicken in the sukka was extremely tender, and the gravy was rich in coconut, onion, and masala. The porottas were hearty and perfectly paired with each. There was more than enough food for the two of us, and the price is a bit higher than other restaurants. However, you're paying for the ambiance. The service was excellent, the waiter bringing the food promptly and serving us throughout the meal. Though I remember the food very well from this outing, the ambiance in itself can make Village Restaurant memorable. I sat in the front of the restaurant, which was for solo and couple dining. The extensive back of the restaurant is best for special occasions and small parties. Visiting the restaurant is a treat, and trying the food at Village Restaurant is a must for Mangalore.

Village serves some of the best Mangalorean dishes in town. The proximity to airport, draught beer and being open from 11am to 11pm makes it the obvious choice for people using the airport or having a late odd hour meal along with chilled beer. The Kane rawa fry is a must try as the fish is sweet and the Savory rava coating gives it a unique flavour. The neer dosa, pomfret masala fry make a good combination. Service is decent and the place is usually packed for outdoor seating. There is a small indoor seating area which is air-conditioned and feels claustrophobic. It also has a small children's play area to entertain the kids. They also have a takeaway counter now where you get get parcels on your way to the airport as there is nothing to eat in Mangalore airport.
Village is a one of a kind place in Mangalore. The way this place is designed is commendable. The first time I went to this place was in 2006. Since then we have been visiting Village for many family dinners, birthday treats and get togethers with friends. The service is excellent. The seafood and south Indian food is tasty. They don't maintain the taste of North Indian food which is a shortcome.
A very good parking space, but did not see any valet parking. Very good food, good service but price is a concern. Ambience is very good, there is a separate area for play for kids.

Great place with Great ambience and reasonable pricing. One of the best places in mangalore to dine out for authentic mangalorean food. Chinese, continental n Mughlai cuisines are also served here. Excellent service by well trained staff. Chicken ghee roast served here is a highlight along with other seafood delicacies including Crab and Lobster😋😋

I visited the Village restaurant today evening along with my family to celebrate my 53rd birthday. We had a very pleasant time there and were ably served by Mr. Suresh (Captain) and Mr. Arun. R (Steward). They were there to service our every request. The food also was very nice and appreciated by all of us. We would surely like to visit this restaurant again.
Great place to satisfy the carnivore in you. Good choice of dishes, including Italian, Arabic, Indian and American cuisine. The ambience and decor is top notch. The seafood is a bit expensive, but worth it. Also has great choice of beverage. Definitely give a try !!!!

The ambience was good, keeping up to the name Village. We had booked a table so we had no waiting on a Saturday night. Ordered Peri Peri fries (5/5), Spring Rolls(4/5) , Chicken Chilli(4/5) Paneer Tikka(3/5), Chicken Biryani (3/5) Malai Kofta (4/5) and Sizzing Brownie (4/5). The service was great even with the crowd. Nice place to chill and hang out, but not on weekends if you are looking for a quite place.

I’m a great fan of spicy food, the ones that kick your taste buds!! Absolutely delicious tender and juicy pieces of chicken. Big thumbs up for the ambience as well!
