One of the best fine dine restaurants in Mangalore! Absolutely love their variety in non veg food. Seafood is so fresh and delicious. Most of our team dinners have happened here. Everyone's had a great time. Ambience is perfect, staff very polite and great great food!
Legendary famous place in Mangalore for family get together and officially parties.
Food is very good and bit on expensive end.
I loved their cheese cottage soup, Crackling paneer, mutton banarasi, chicken chilly kebab, butter garlic and all cooler drinks.
Must visit in Mangalore!
Good ambience and really tasty food. Nice place to go for a family/group dinner. Price a bit on higher side but worth visiting once in a while. We have tried lamb and chicken tikka biryani which are tasty.

About the restaurant
@pallkhi_restaurant is an award winning restraunt
@pallkhi_restaurant is more than two decades old.
Very good place to have dine with family and friends to cherish and the celebrate happy moments .
Good place good food really liked the vibes food is little expensive but amazing restaurant in mangalore I would surely recommend pallkhi for amazing taste
One of the good fine dine restaurants in Mangalore, the food is delicious and the quality and quantity of the same is very good 👍🏻
The staff is very professional and really good.
Location cannot be better than being at the heart of the city.
Parking can be a little tricky.
Overall, recommended restaurant.
Went to Pallkhi with a group of college friends for lunch. The food was really good. Had heard so much about this place, and when we actually tried their food, we were not disappointed at all!
It’s a good place to take your family and offers really good food. The only thing to worry about is the waiting time. They make you wait quite a bit sometimes and if you have kids or elderly people along, they might get a little impatient.
A good ambience place, well flavoured food and great service. A little on the costly side. Loved their naan which we ordered alongside ghee roast.
well its all about the ambience here but for all the authenticity of Mangalore you need to explore the depths of the city and take a nap here
This is my favorite all time fine dining restaurant. The service is excellent and food is very good. Even the service is fast. I visit this place for all our family celebrations.
Expensive but tasty food just next to kmc hospital. Ambience is great. Non veg dishes are exquisite. Service is also good. A good go for a foodie in mangalore.
Going to this place since a kid.. always love the food .. if your planning a dinner with your family.. this is one of the place you should think of
The restaurant has great ambience, the staff are also very courteous. We tried chicken tangi kebab and fish tikka here. The food is also good, but they need to improve on their biryanis.
Great ambience.... amazing customer service fun to come with family..can really enjoy...good great tasty hot hot and spicy food😋😋😋😋no more words to express it's qualities...IAM again telling that the food is really tasty...yuuumm
Ordered chicken tandoori biriyani and it was just awesome. One of the best biriyanis I had in my life. 1 biriyani is good enough for 2 ppl as they provide good quantity when compared to other restaurants in Mangalore and good amount of chicken pieces in it. The tandoori chicken was tender and juicy and the biriyani masala is just awesome.
Taste : 5/5
Quantity : 5/5
The ambience here is really great. Highly recommended for families. The squid lemon garlic and chatphata chicken are some of my favorites...
The restaurant is on the third floor. The ambience and service is good. The restaurant is well maintained. The restaurant is famous for North Indian and seafood. The taste of the food was fine.
I have been here several times and the best thing at Palkhi is their service. Food is also excellent.
Service : 9.5/10Food : 8/10Ambience : 7/10Location : 8/10
Located in the center of the city. Good ambiance. Service is quick and staff are polite. Food is tasty. But feels heavy after eating. Ghee roast was best.
Being one of the oldest restaurants in the city, they have still maintained to stay relevant food choices wise till date. Absolutely love their spinach cottage cheese soup, but it's best when it's hot the ones that are home delivered lose their magic by the time it's delivered. Jata bhara kebab, chicken chatpata and sea food options are what I've liked best till date.
Amazing food! Service was pretty quick and staff are polite. A lil on the expensive side, but worth the price. The quantity is good :) their butter chicken and chicken tikka biriyani is a must try :)
Good ambience, good & tasty food. Friendly staff members. I along with family and friends enjoy almost all delicious food prepared by Pallkhi Restaurant. Nice & enjoyable restaurant to dine.
I would rate Pallkhi as the best fine dining restaurants of Mangalore. Service is good and food is excellent. I have been a regular visitor now at Pallkhi and they always maintain the same high standards.
The ambience is quiet pleasant
The tiny prawns biryani was extremely tasty withoit too much oil or unncessary spices
The chicken lollipop was good
The blue colarado was a bit too sweet
A nice place to go with your family
Top notch restaurent of Mangalore, the prices are reasonable and quality and service are excellent. I would recommend to book a table during weekends.
Pallkhi never disappoints! Good location (easy to reach), good food (loved the Tangdi Kabab there), good ambience, good service and importantly, an affordable place. Lot of options available on the menu. We can enjoy eating peacefully.
One of the best restaurants in Mangalore. Food and ambience both very good. Only thing service is little slow. Chicken ghee roast and Palak cheese soup is mouth watering.
Looks poor from outside as its an old restaurant. But interior is good. Food quality is excellent. Worth for money. If you love spicy, you will really enjoy the food. Overall satisfied.
Pallkhi has always been the go-to place for fancy dinners in Mangalore. Its wonderful to see that they have maintained their exceptionally high standards for all these years. Some of my favourite dishes here include the tandoori mushrroms and the vegetable biryani
Good service, rooftop area is really beautiful with songs and good lighting. Had the chicken mirch kebab and roasted chilly chicken, both of which were delicious. The recommendations by the staff are usually very good and can be taken. Fast service and overall great place
Great food and service. We had been yesterday and tried spinach and cottage cheese soup, Baby corn garlic, malai Paneer tikka, baby kulcha, fruit punch, summer cooler, lemon punch and everything was excellent. Kudos to the staff for their excellent service.
Awesome food. Great ambiance and very friendly staff. It's a place u must visit if ur in Mangalore
The starter we're very good along with the tandoori chicken was exceptional

Cozy Ambience and very professional staff, the way they greet when you enter will give the positive impression about this place. When it comes to food just amazing food. Excellent food excellent service. One should visit to try their varieties in Sea food .
This restaurant is located just opposite to Jyothi circle. It's on the third floor. The place is popular for Indian & seafood cuisines. Very cozy and ideal family hangout place. Biriyani is a must try at this place.

Friendly staff, very tasty food and good service. We had ordered Garlic paneer tikka, masala papad, rumali roti, garlic naan along with subzi and everything was good. The mocktails that we ordered were also good. Preferred to book tables during public holidays and weekends due to the crowd
perfect place where good food meets good ambience.. my personal favourites are mutton banarasi, chicken chatpata , chicken lasooni tikka and lamb soup. their biryani also tastes yumm..
Visited the place after 10 long years.. must say they have maintained it very well.. we were in the roof top of the restaurant..neatly done with service very friendly and good.. we just had a couple of starters as we had decided to have dinner at home.. we ordered lasooni tikka and tandoori chicken.. both the items were great.. priced a little on the higher side as it’s a proper fine dining..
One of the good restaurants you find in the city. Good food, good ambience and soothing music in the background is what you get here. Comparatively the prices are quite high. Altogether a place that would make you want to visit again.
I really love this restaurant and have been here quite a few times .
Try the dhaniya coconut kabab, Mutton ghee roast , prawn starters, chicken pepper dry and sukka as well.
Don't know if the egg parantha is still there or consistent .
I like the biriyani here as well
Will try out some other stuff on my next visit
Am absolute must visit restaurant in Mangalore. The staff is extremely polite and does a commendable job. I tried a fish and a mushroom starter. Both tingled and pleased my palate like never before. For my main course , I settled for dal fry and some butter garlic naan! Also, the peshawari naan is amust try. Peshawari Naan= Veggie stuffed naan with loads of green chilly and spices! Loved the new naan making style. Kudos to the great ambience too!
One of the best fine dining restaurant's of Mangalore. Initially it was very expensive, however now it is more affordable and food is excellent. Service is excellent and menu is extensive.
Pallkhi is one of the good fine dine Indian restaurants in Mangalore. It is one of the most popular fine dine places that you'd go with your family to enjoy a good Indian meal.
We ordered Garlic rotis, Stuffed Kulchas, Paneer Garlic Malai Tikka and Paneer curry Nawabi. The garlic rotis are delicious with the right amount of butter and garlic. So were the stuffed Kulchas. The Paneer Tikka was out of the world, soft and delicious Paneer with dips of Mint and Yoghurt. The curry came in with a generous amount of Paneer and good amount of gravy. However, the curry was mediocre at best, not able to give in that extra bit of deliciousness as the Kababs. The portions are generally quite good, so that is nothing to complain. To finish it off, we ordered the Carrot Halwa with ice cream, which again was delicious.
They have a bar, the alcohol is slightly on the pricier side, but its almost on par with other similar places in the city. The service is good and prompt, the waiters make sure the plates and tables are cleaned as soon as you finish the food. The food came in surprisingly quick, for Kababs and curries. Overall, a really good Indian fine dine restaurant.
Good food and ambience! Ginger garlic squid is much better compared to other restaurants in mangalore, the downside was the service ,they take too long to get food to your table.
Been there for a company party , fud was ok not that great, but the ambience and service spot on. One thing I don't like is the waitress doesn't ask u ti pick the plates , she comes and removes it from the table , even there's fud on it
Amazing restaurant,brilliant food
Prawns Masala fry is a must try along with the superb pomegrate mojito ❤❤Great culinary experience, can't miss out on their rooftops for a wonderful evening getaway👌🥂
One of the best place in mangalore..known for the best ambience and service!!.when it comes to fud..we had few dishes..but all were delicious and worth of every penny..I would definitely come back again ..!!!!!
Loved this place😍..food was very spicy and tasty.
If you really wanna try spicy food, just mention it while ordering. They really make it good. Chicken tikka biryani was yum! Even veg food is very tasty here. Quantity is also good. Tummy filling! 😋Must visit place
This place never lets you down. Be it vegetarian or non vegetarian, this is definitely a go to place! I avoid biryani in general here as they're not authentic (as anywhere else in Mangalore)
Paneer Malai Tikka and chicken Malai Tikka are delicious. Need dosa with fish curry or ghee roast is the best.
Centrally located and has valet parking. The food is nice, pleasantly spiced and quiet tasty. Tried the spinach and cheese soup which was delicious though a little too thick. Went as a large group so tried everything from tandoori chicken to chicken tikka to prawns tawa roast, seer fish fry and crispy fried fish. I believe the sea food is definitely their specialty and they cook the traditional Mangalore style food well. The roof top was spacious, thankfully air conditioned and ideal for large groups. Would recommend this place for their seafood.
Had Neer Dosas, Andhra Chilly Chicken, Kaju Ghee rice with my friends and was good. The place was crowded even then the service was not bad. I felt the price is on the higher side.
Ambience- 4/5
Food -4/5
Value for money- 3/5
Pallkhi has been an amazing restaurant for years.
The cream of Palak soup and cottage cheese soup is amazing here..
Slightly on the expensive side but has good value for money.
It's a multicuisine restaurant but Indian food is the best here.
A decent dinner for 2 would cost anywhere between 800-1200 rupees
A visit to Pallkhi left me with a mixed opinion. This may be due to the fact that I was told the place once was best fine dining restaurant in Mangalore. Now coming to the present. The food was excellent. We tried an assortment of both veg and non-veg varieties, and all were well prepared and tested delicious. Service was good. Ambience although being good, made us felt a bit crowded. This is due to the fact that place is not spacious. This restaurant also serves liquor and good part is that they have a separate smoking room as well, but that being close to entry will give an off putting vibe to non smokers.
So all in all, the place is nice to enjoy a meal with family and friends, But I feel it lacked a signature in their dishes which can distinguish itself from other similarly styled places.
When you hear the name of this restaurant you get a grand traditional vibe and it lives up to it. The place is conveniently located on the main road and also they provide valet parking facility which is really very useful.
The ambience is nice and bright and slow music plays in the background which is soothing to hear. The staff is well groomed and professional. We were handed over the menu quickly and we decided to have murg lemon tikka, andhra chilly chicken and chicken tikka biryani. The murg lemon tikka was really nice and flavourful but the chicken I felt needed to be a little more cooked. Coming to the andhra chilly chicken it was very spicy which was perfect to my liking and I'm talking about the masala while the chicken I felt did not absorb the flavour at all and was very bland for some reason. It was an average one for me. The chicken tikka biryani was really good and the masala and rice was balanced properly and was good enough for the three of us to eat.
All in all a good place to dine in with family. They also have a bar menu. Pricing is slightly high but its okay for once in a while kind of lunch/dinner. The quantity was perfectly enough for the three of us. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
My ratings are just for the pure love of food, to be precise the "Crispy Chicken" blew my mind. And the red sauce with that, OMG! Best crispy chicken I've had in my life. Apart from that ambience is good and the staff are friendly. Mistakes happen here and there but the food really stands apart. Would definitely recommend to all. A must if your ever in Mangalore.
I love this place. And the food is amazing. My favourite here is dahi bhindi and spinach soup, tomato soup, ajwain roti. would recommend this place to everyone.
The food here is very good .Try their cream of spinach soup and their hara bhara kebabs which are nice. The main course items also quite tasty.we had ordered one sabji, roti and dal and rice.the service is quick and staff courteous. We had veg when we went and yet to try their nonveg stuff next time. But very satisfied with the veg fare
Had my first proper dinner date with my girl at this place. And the food was out of the world!!!
Ambiance is quite normal with neat and tidy tables. The place was busy at night and I would recommend reservation.
Coming to the food, the highlights were Neer dosa and Paneer ghee roast. I have had neer dosas before but this was by far the best. Very soft and aromatic and tasting lighter than air, these neer dosas were so delicious, we ended up ordering 4 plates for two. And Paneer ghee roast gave the best gravy experience with the dosas.
Ambiance - 4/5
Food quality - 5/5
Bang for buck - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Great ambience. Good food. Loved it. Tried chicken soup, kaju ghee rice, chicken chatpata- my fav n must try on list, and finally punjabi prawns masala. Prawn masala could have been still more better. But full marks overall guys. And also prices are easy on pocket. Keep up the good work and great taste. Visiting again when i come to mangalore... cheers
Please try the chicken yakhni biryani. It was tasty. Also try their chicken starters. They all taste really good. Overall great food!! The staff is courteous.
Just Love this place and I would love to go there again and again.First We orderd spinach soup and for starters we orderd chicken chatpata, masala papad and seekh kabab and Trust me they were delicious. Then we orderd Chicken Thikka biryani and it was great too and we orderd mocktail too...this place is Just Awsomee and Highly Recommended. Atmosphere is also good and can be called as family place too and service is excellent.
Wonderful experience. The food as usual is excellent .
Service is equally good with many senior staff who know the basics of flawless service.
May just improve on the smile factor.Saw many of them gloomy.
Great Ambience.. Good service.. Great food..Ideal place for family and friends..
Must try
Chicken Tandoori Biriyani
Chicken Chatpata (my favorite)
Mutton Rogan Gosh
Chicken Urwal
Butter Garlic Prawns
Palak Khichidi
Veg Spring roll
Very good food and nice service keep it up. ...
......................good ambience. Velu of money. ..........................I will visit again
Lovely ambiance, beautiful curtains, cool table cloth, and amazing interior. Lots of space to sit in groups or couple.
I ordered Kadai Paneer, Paneer Kolhapuri, Dal Tadka which tasted great.
The staff is courteous and we'll behaving. They served a free mocktail for birthday people too. Overall a nice experience at this place.
The Food and Ambience is good. The staff are very hospitable and I would recommend this place for a nice calm family dinner with drinks. The food served was piping hot and delicious. I am sure the competition around in Mangalore is strong when it comes to food but you can always have this on your foodie list if you would like to enjoy a nice calm place with the sound of crazy music.
Visited this place more than a couple of times..coz the food is really good..
Best starters we had - chicken urval, chicken chikinad, chicken lemon, chicken ghee roast.
A bit average starter - Andhra chicken roast...a bit more spicy.
All most all the main courses are quite exceptional.
Best of the main courses - Chicken tikka biryani and Tandoori chicken biryani.
Ambience is great and quite friendly.....one can rediscover the spice of Andhra in this dish with the best ambience.
Pallkhi has been my city's favourite ever since we were growing up! Every birthday/celebration we would head here-the taste and quality of food has not deteriorated on bit. They have changed the interiors of the space couple of years ago and it makes it all the more interesting to visit them! Love the false ceiling they have used in one section of their restaurant, the upholstery used as cladding in their waiting area and also the lift interiors(yes, you read that right!)
They have a brilliant staff team, courteous and ever ready to help! My favourites - chicken chatpata chicken, lemon butter garlic prawns with cashew, chicken kalimirch.
We have visited Pallkhi during our mangalore trip on july. The food was awesome and the service was also good. Tried chilly squids, ghee roast chicken kori roti and chilli sprite. Each and every dish is a treat to your taste buds. Chilly sprite is the best drink I have had till date. This is a must try.
I have been to this place with my friends and family few times, It’s a nice fine-dine place. Every time I visited the taste of the food kept changing. All the time the taste of the food was average but was above average in my first visit. No complains with service, the guys were prompt and attentive also communicate well. The place is well set up but it’s the taste of food needs revamping to stay at my list. If it’s not about taste then a recommended place to host guests.
Ambience - 4
Food - 5
Service - 4.5
Price - on the higher side
The food was really amazing , worth the money .
Starters were the best. The place is a must try
Food was completely Indian,it has indian flavours in all dishes ...and the starters were not that good. We visited on the match day so the ambience and the vibes were good.
They have a very good main couse
And the mocktails were good. Must try the 'kolhapuri' it was very flavorful.
I recently celebrated my grandma's birthday with a delightful lunch at Pallkhi, and what truly stood out was how the staff treated us like family. It was an exceptional experience. The staff's service was outstanding; they went above and beyond to ensure our celebration was memorable. The food during our lunch was also delightful, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall charm of the afternoon. I highly recommend Pallkhi for special occasions and wonderful dining experiences
Good food, very good vibes on the top floor, could see live cricket matches on screen too. Service was also excellent, polite and quick staff. Not very crowded, not sure why, could get a table even without reservation. Parking doesn't seem to be very comfortable. Have to park outside on the main road or down in the basement where there is not much space. But overall would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Cravings 💯% satisfied! The ambience here is really good and the food is amazing! I had ordered mutton biriyani and prawns as side dish starter, both were amazing! In veg , I have ordered butter nan and panner side dish , it was really good! I have no words to say anything bad about the food but the service needs to be improved a little.. they provide you cleaned plates but yet a lil stains remains😅 so i asked them to change the plates.. rather than that the food here is amazingly delicious 🤤
Pallki has a special place because I took my fiancee for dinner before we got married.
When I visited the restaurant after many years, i still loved the Kundapur Chicken with Neer Dosa, Took me back to my earlier days of Mangalorean delicacies.
If you are in Mangalore, definitely recommend a visit to enjoy the taste of Mangalore.
9 of us went for Christmas lunch. Loved the cocktails. The starters were amazingly tasty and well prepared. The main course of roti, curries, fried rice and noodles were very good. Overall the taste and the food was fantastic. Definitely on the pricier side, but at least it was top quality.
Overall 4.5 rating
Little slow service, but in our case the service was much better. By far the best ambience in Mangalore (compared to other restaurants).
Good location, quality of food is very good. Quantity to price may little improvement.
Pallkhi Restaurant in Mangalore truly impressed me with its exceptional dining experience. The delectable food, coupled with a pleasant ambiance, created a delightful atmosphere.
The attentive and efficient service added to the overall enjoyment of the visit. The restaurant's clean and well-maintained interior contributed to a comfortable and inviting setting.
Moreover, the convenience of valet parking made the experience even more hassle-free. Pallkhi Restaurant is undoubtedly a fantastic choice for those seeking a memorable culinary adventure, complete with top-notch food, ambiance, and service.
7 of us went .The starters were amazingly tasty and well prepared.Service is Ok(As last visit Not Much Crowded). The Starter can be Improved. I have tried Chicken Manchow soup and it also tasted good..And Kalmi Kabab, Chicken Chatpata, Prawns Tandoori.
For Starter More food items can be added into Menu like Spicy Sweet Corn, Lava Cakes, Cheese Balls, etc. OK for if your looking for a particular dish which is famous there at Pallkhi. Otherwise its a normal restaurant that we can get such foods in many other restaurants nearby Mangaluru. Nothing So special...
The main course of Garlic Butter Nan, Mushroom Ghee Roast, Egg Fried rice were very good and tasty . Compare to price side, it was top quality
Food and ambiance is good..
Service also good..
Parking 🅿 is the problem(Wallet Parking is available).
It is located in 3 rd floor.
Overall the taste and the food was fantastic.
Fine dining at a reasonable price. Food tasted good especially Carrot Halwa with Ice-cream and chicken ghee roast. Service is exemplary. Ambience is also quite good. Extremely hygienic. Loved the experience. Quantity of the food was also sufficient.
An exceptional fine dining experience...! Impeccable service, stunning decor, and a diverse menu featuring exquisite dishes that are beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail and the high quality of ingredients used make it a must-visit restaurant for any food lover...!😃
I felt it's a well oriented for family to have calm clean and good foods with great service facility restaurant and bar. Service here is highly appreciated and they have multiple cabins and top floor, above 3rd floor (main) is accessible when it's crowded or in weekends. They have a lovely waiting area too.. where the awards & recognitions are displayed.
I got ad on insta about chicken chatpata recipe and tried it today with great expectations, Its really good with spicy flavours better to have with any drinks.. it's recommended!
And Tandoori prawns was yummy.
Soup lovers have to go through whole menu booklet as they have two sections on soup where continental soups like chicken jade are good to try.
Foods are good and ambience is also good However to those who like to have loud musics and pub ambience then this is not the one.. it's a great place with ambient music play and very good service restaurant.
Television display across all seating area would be good.. not sure if it's in place in other floors/section.
One of the Decent Family restaurants you can find in Mangalore.
It Truly definitely Value for Money experience.
I personally like and tried
1) Chicken Chatpata
2) Butter Chicken💯👌
3) Cheese Garlic Naan💯👌
4) Butter Naan
5) Caramel Custard
6) Even there mocktails are amazing.
They have great service. ⭐
-Sometimes you need to wait to find a seat here. But manager makes sure as soon as table gets empty, he provides it to you.
- Has a wide menu.
- It is a must visit place when in Mangalore.⭐
- I hope they will maintain their standard and quantity, quality and cost ratio the way they have it right now.⭐⭐⭐ 👌🙌
The appetisers and seafood here is amazing. The butter lemon garlic prawns from their signature menu is an absolute stunner 😍. Fish appetisers are tasty as well. Would recommend to order these two. Main course was meh so would suggest to order appetisers more. Alcohol is affordable too!
Great food and ambience. Food took a little while to arrive being a busy dinner time. Though staff tried their best and kept us updated. Wide range of cuisine and great tasting food. Great selection of veg and nob-veg. Service was very good. Must visit if nearby
