I had mangalore buns which was very good
Goli baja was nice and soft
Cutlet was also good
Service:10 min for the food to arrive from time of order
Ambience:simple
A simple place by the looks of it, yet you will be treated to one of the best breakfast in town. Their dosas are amazing, halwa is mouthwatering, idlis are healthy and filling, coffee is great too. All in all must visit if you're in Mangalore.
Perfect place for food at a crowded busy junction in mangalore city. This is an all vegetarian place and serves a wide variety of vegetarian cuisine. They have an AC seating area as well. Been here for luch and was impressed with the options available for just simple meals. Planning to visit this place for food other than just meals in the near future.Clean place. Courteous staff. Good quality food, quantity is good enough and value for money!
A great place for delicious local cuisine.
I come here for breakfast and snacks often.
My favorites are the Rava Dosa which comes with chutney.
The dosa is crispy and the chutney was delicious.
The dosas, sheera and special chai are also great here.
It a typical mangalorean restaurant and a very old establishment. You get amazing mangalorean dishes here like goli bhajji, mangalore buns, ambade, etc. I'm a frequent visitor and mostly go for goli bhajji, buns and milk shake.
This place has one of the most amazing milk shakes and the South Indian food is fantastic. You also get good lunch Thali afternoon.
Overall the place is good and visited by many.
Today The Mystic Riders all India 50000KM OneIndiaOneRide is at Mangaluru , morning we experienced for the 1st time the famous Mangao Thuppa Dosa at this restaurant. It was excellent to be here and experiencing a new thing. Follow our All India Road Trip on Facebook/Instagram: ID: @ TheMysticRiders or visit our All India Ride blog at https:// pr.mysticrider.in/ . They have a long menu, but my go to dish is Goli baje and patrade. The coffee is excellent. Nice cozy place which is always full! The staff is good and road side view is also nice
Been visiting this place whenever I go back home for holidays. Neat place that serves fast snacks lunch....pure veg. Had visited here twice this time and once with my friend, who said that the quality of food has dropped a bit compared to earlier. Still one of the best cafes in the city.
After looking at many negative reviews of this iconic restaurant, I wanted to experience it myself. I have heard from many that this is the place to go for breakfast as they offer 50+ varieties of local delicacies in the breakfast Menu.
Tucked in a corner close to Milagris church , wenlock and Hampanakatta Tajmahal fails to impress in its 1st impression. Narrow corridor leading to seating area opens you up for more chaos as the place is packed always and finding a seat is difficult. You need to adjust with others and you can't have a table for yourself here in the busy business hours. Next task is catching the attention of serving staff who are busy. Once the order is placed it is on your table within no time.
Taste of the food is good but the chutney and Sambar provided are not up to the mark. It does not taste fresh.
They have lots of food varieties to offer and one must try.
Old restaurant opposite wenlock in the heart of the city. Filter coffee is good, even buns are very tasty. But idli was hard as stone. They have kottu and different authentic dishes too. I won’t say a wow place, but maintaining the brand a bit
We were late but right on time for the owner to give us their famous mangalore buns. It was delicious, a mixture of sweetness with savoury. Go in the morning as it is perfect spot for breakfast
One of the oldest restaurants in Mangalore and still standing strong.
Very pleasant team to take orders, pretty fast in service. Tasty food too.
Kottigge, buns, idli, dosa, coffee was what we had. All were awesome.
They have special sweets also. Should be tried.
Don’t miss this place… 😎
This is a nice hotel located in the main road of Mangalore city. It’s clean and well maintained. Apart from the delicious dosa, mangalore bajji and mangalore buns, they also sell fresh sweets. The staff is sweet and friendly. They also sell soft drinks and juice. Everything is priced reasonably. Parking could be an issue since it’s located in a busy junction.
A very good place to try out different food varieties of manglore.
There are many varieties to try.
Tried Masala dosa, Biscut roti , Manglore buns ,sheera*
Since food is good ,the crowd is also high,so it will take time to get a place.
Service from the staff is okay but not great.
Hotel Taj Mahal is a restaurant located in heart of mangalore. It’s near to bus stand and railway station.
One must stop here to explore authentic mangalorian food.
You can also buy sweets and savouries from the shop.
Though I visited this place twice, not able to click much pictures as I was busy in tasting food.
This hotel is trying to keep their heritage. Very good Mangalore authentic dishes are available. I have tasted few dishes and good. The restaurant open at 6.30am and many items are available at the time. Dosa varieties are not good. Close by 8pm. Service and Hygiene should be improved better.
Near to Mangalore Central Railway Station and opposite to Milagres Church. . AC double bed room Rs.1500.
Traditional food is available in the Restaurant. In the Sweet stall , Snacks , sweets and karams available.
This is one of the oldest restaurant at Mangalore. I stepped in for having my breakfast. The food is not up to the mark. We had masala, dosa and some other breakfast items. I am not that happy about the quality of the food and the price was not that good
Had great breakfast. Khotte kadabu is soft amd tasty. Place is still traditional and serving traditional authentic local veg breakfast options. Service was amazing
The Hotel is easy to locate and is just opposite to the Railway station.. enough parking is available
Along with the Dinig they also have logdging facility . The food is pretty good and the taste has almost remained unchanged , the interiors need renovation.
Thuppa dosa (ghee dosa), south Indian thali, north indian thali, are pretty good with cost in par . Employees are pretty friendly and on a second visit ,they suggest you food of your taste
