One of the best chicken ghee roast biryani in town has to be from Tandoor ! Omg..it was sooo amazing. Their butter garlic chicken/paneer is also heavenly. So creamy and rich that it just melts in your mouth. Chicken tikka starter was spicy and flavoursome just like how I wanted it. I had already ordered this twice in three days. Totally happy with the food and service from here ❤️

Oh now this place I love the food here is quite amazing actually. They have a family section here but I haven't really seen families come here it's more of the local crowd. Their Chicken ghee roast biriyani is something I really love here. This along side a pitcher of budweiser is true heaven.

Now, Tandoor is no fine-dine restaurant, so take out is your best bet. But really, the quantity is terrific! Their tandoori chicken is the best in town. And their butter chicken is unusual and can be called a cross between chicken achaari and tikka masala. All in all, a very positive experience.

I order Gobi chilly, every Thursday , not once have they disappointed me. The quantity is unbelievable for just 100rs instead of ordering from other restaurants for 250+ I prefer tandoors Gobi chilly. Non vegetarian should go for tandoori chicken , it's really good. This place is very well known for delicious food! Well, the ambiance and vibe of this place is not that family/female friendly, so i would recommend you to order food online via Zomato or Ubereats! My favorites and must try items from here are: Paneer Gheeroast biryani (10/10, best best best ever!), Mushroom rawa fry & Paneer kurkure. I have eaten here many times. Food is good and service looks slow sometime. Ordered online from here. I got same taste. In other restaurants online ordered food not the same taste as it in restaurant.
Considering that the restaurant has an attached bar, the restaurant may not be the perfect place for family outing's. But Tandoor Express is truly a gift as it allows efficient and speedy takeaways. My favorite picks from the restaurant are Chicken Ghee Roast, Chicken Kebabs, Chicken Biryani and all Tawa fries. The taste and service deserve a 10.

Today, my friend wanted to order something for lunch and was tired of eating the same stuff, so we logged into Zomato and found that they have lunch options below Rs. 99. At first we wondered what it would be, but come to see there were some great deals such as Lunch Combo of Biriyani, Raitha and Kabab or Parota and Curry, Fish Meals, etc.
After browsing through the exhaustive list, she decided to order a combo of Neer Dosa and Chicken Sukka from one of the most famous restaurants in Mangalore - Tandoor. Having heard of this place and also ride by it so many times, I knew it was always crowded and people would carry out items for the parties and other get togethers.
The Chicken Sukka was loaded with flavor. Heard it tasted yummy and was not very spicy either. Even for those who do not eat Sukka will feel like taking a bite because it was smelling oh so good! The famous pancakes of Mangalore - the Neer Dosa - was soft and hot and just by taking a small piece, scooping it up with the Sukka and relishing each morsel was enough to satisfy the taste buds. This order came with 4 pieces of Neer Dosa.
We placed the order at 12:45 PM and by 1:10 PM, the food had been delivered.

Easily accessible, spacious place with simple interior and set up. Good mangalorean food. Prompt service. Squid ghee roast, clams sukkha (marvai) are must try dishes if you love sea food.
The Traditional Mangalorean Paneer Ghee Roast available here is the main delicacy here for Vegetarians. Also some other food items like Green Peas Masala Fry with Boiled egg, Egg chilly are mouth watering. Almost all the food items available here are at a reasonable price.
I used to be a regular here 8 years back.. belongs to a good friend and we used to have a large group and this was the place we used to catch up almost every other day.. been here after a real long gap and must say food quality has improved from then.. tried their silver fish rawa fry and chicken ghee roast for starters.. main course we had a biryani .. starters was great but biryani preparation can be better.. the place is done well unlike years back and much bigger in terms of space..service is as good as instant and pricing is so so reasonable.. keep up the good work shenoy family..

Went for the takeaway, ordered the chicken biryani - normal and the tikka biryani. Both were good. It would have been better if the raisins were avoided in the biryani makes it less spicy . Also ordered the kalmi kabab which was perfect . Would recommend the place for a takeaway or home delivery.
Amazing food for vegans and non vegans. We had been there on a thursday evening and it was packed. We had to wait a while to get a table. The service was in time and up to the mark. All food priced at reasonable rates, in fact on the lower side when compared to rest of the places around. Best suited for men going out with foodie friends who choose to have liquor. They serve all kinds of liquor including fresh draught beer which is a fresh entrant served with literary full pitchers. Mangalorean dishes Urval, Ghee Roast is best eaten here as mentioned by many. It is an all men place so not suited if one is looking for a fine dining family restaurant.

The food here is just amazing. Since it is a bar it is well suited for take away only. This is one of the best places to get tandoori items in mangalore. The chicken is juicy and the flavours are just spot on. Even the biriyani here is good. Personally love the chicken tikka biriyani. The quality of food is also really good. Coming to the price there are no nasty surprises, it is very reasonable And totally worth it
I've been to this place many times now, the food has been consistently good! The ambience is good enough, not so fancy! The butter chicken I felt is mildly bitter/sour definitely something meddling with the sweetness of the gravy. The Tandoori items are really good and worth a try. They have a wide range of biriyani's too, I like the chicken ghee roast biriyani and I recommend this only to the chicken ghee roast lovers and for someone who wants to try something new. The dum biriyani is great too! I found the butter naan to be kinda very dry, I prefer it to be moist and buttery. Give it a visit sometime and a happy day to you!

Quick parcel service. Chicken puli munchi and chicken tikka biriyani are good. Those who dont like spicy food can order Chiken ordinary ghee roast which is unique masala with boneless chicken and potato. Overall value for money.
Though I've never visited the restaurant in person. The first word that comes to my mind when one says home delivery is Tandoor. Sea foods good. Traditional Mangalorian dishes are good. Worth the cost. Only downside (from a vegetarians point of view) is they don't have a lot of variety when it comes to vegetarian dishes. Not that the meat lover in me is complaining. But it's something to keep in mind if one plans to order whole lot of dishes for a family with mixed tastes/ preferences.
I wish we had such awesome outlet in Bangalore. Food was amazing specially the mutton ghee roast and chicken sukka. This is a proper bar I could hardly find any ladies dining in since i was in a very large group I was comfortable and must thank the owner shenoy who made me feel at home. Over all amazing

Well this a Bar & Restaurant. Not suitable for a family outing.They have a seperate counter attached to the building for ordering and delivering food.The delivery takes a bit of time.Not much space to park the car infront but you have to go back.
The food i ordered was Chicken Biriyani ,Chicken urval and Bondas(Squid) ghee roast.The food was amazing, the biriyani was not that spicy very well balanced is not heavy to your tummy. Chicken urval there were lot of cashew nuts added .And about the Bondas ghee roast although the bondas pieces were small it was tasty.

Tandoor is probably one of the most popular restaurants in the city. It is located right next to my house, and a place I have frequently eaten from for 12 years now. Prices have increased, and quantities have decreased over the years, but the place still attracts people from all over the city, because the food is quite good.
One of my favorites is the Chicken Urval. The chicken sukka and the chicken ghee roast are pretty good too. Chilli items at times are very spicy, and can bring tears to your eyes! Fish items are available, dependant on the season, and are prepared really well. Tandoori chicken is another delicacy, as the name suggests, with good quantities. The bread platter is also decent, and the biryani's are quite filling.
