Anjal was very tasty and very well cooked i also tried squid butter garlic it tasted good but there are a lot better things there u can try. Totally would like to go there again. .

It is a lovely, teeny-weeny restaurant on the roadside. The staff was super friendly. They recommended their best dishes as it was our first time visiting there, and had no clue about what to order.
The food was delicious so much so that we personally met one of the partners of the entity to express our gratitude. Recommended highly for people who love seafood.
Next time, I would like to see a seafood platter in their menu. 😁

One of the best places to try coastal cuisine. This place has one of the best fish fry in the town especially the masala fry. Would definitely recommend yhis place to everyone.
Order macrhel masala fry and macrhel rava fry. Very unique and different taste than all other restaurants. Nice combination of flavours. With each bite you will feel fresh, flavourful and deliciousness.
First time you will search for this location if you are new and then on you will only keep revisiting just to try their crab sukka, prawns ghee roast, all possible fish fries. Trust me on this "dishes here jus too tasty and words are not the best way to express".
I have tried neer dosa n fish curry, disco and mackerel masala n Rawa 0fry. Squid ghee roast..All were fresh and tasty. Squid ghee roast was spicy and can be improved for better taste

Good place to visit. I ordered sukka crab, green pompret and meals. Taste was good. Price was also reasonable. They have a clean restaurant. They took 20-25 min to deliver my order. Overall it was a nice experience for me.

Had ordered Squid ghee roast and Marwai sukka (without shell) . The taste was amazing with very good quantity. The masala and spices tasted just like home made. Cost is a bit on higher side. Would highly recommend the restaurant.
Small and cozy place. Ambience is brighter than most Fish-only serving restaurants. The staff is friendly and suggest whats fresh on the menu. All said I've never had a better Ghee Roast in Mangalore. It's Bomb.
Definitely visit here to know what I'm talking about, that and Green masala. That mint coriander taste is so refreshing on the palette.
And if you're an Amchi like me you should also give Moode Hingauda a shot. Youll crave for more I bet.

Fish Garage is a restaurant located in Chilimbi. It is located on the Main Road, but you might pass it as there are lots of trees in the area. If you are a seafood lover, then I would recommend this place.
The other day my friend ordered lunch from Fish Garage. She ordered through the Zomato App.
After placing the order, the food reached within 20 minutes. Not only is the food good, but the prices are quite reasonable.
Here is a list of what was ordered:
1. Boiled Rice - One portion of boiled rice is sufficient for 2 people. It was packed in a foil container so the temperature was very hot.
2. Fish Curry - The fish curry was reddish orange in color. It smelled so good and there were a few pieces of bangude in the curry.
These two items were actually a combo. One portion of boiled rice with fish curry is just Rs. 50!
3. Disco Tawa - There is a fish called Disco. Interesting, isn't it? You might even start dancing after eating it! Just kidding! One piece of Disco Tawa was quite big in size. Sufficient enough for one person to eat so if you wanna share it is better to order two pieces. The masala is generously coated on the entire fish - front and back. Price - Rs. 80/-.
They have a lot of dishes to choose from. Some of the items are listed under the section Fish Garage Specials. One of them is the Anjal Green Tawa. It is a gigantic piece of Anjal that has been smeared generously with Green Masala! It looks very mouthwatering.
Lunch time is a popular time for people to visit Fish Garage. It is a medium size restaurant, so you might have to wait if the tables are already occupied.
I believe the restaurant is owned by a group of friends. The rates are pocket friendly too!
If you are in the Chilimbi area, do drop in to Fish Garage.
Must visit place for fish lovers. Was left with licking my fingers after tasting their awesome anjal tawa fry. Ditto for the prawns ghee roast. Extremely courteous staff. Keep up with this super taste guys. U rock!!!

Being a regular customer at Fish Garage every week since they first opened, I can say that the food is really good and the quality of their produce is unmatchable. A limited but extremely good menu with a non-commercial and almost homely flavour. They usually have some specials on weekends and during the holiday season ask for their Prawns Malabar Biryani.
Have tried crab at this place. The crab masala was awesome, very flavorful and fresh and for 200 rs it was totally worth the price, the crab sukka- not great. Heard that the fish items here are really good. All fish lovers must try this place. They have a small AC room to dine and service is pretty good too.

Awesome food. Must taste the Anjal/Pomfret Butter Green masala fry and Clam flesh sukka. The uniqueness is the recipe. The serving time is bit late so plan your visit. TASTY FOOD always cooks slower :-)

This place by its name is specialised in authentic sea food , meals are average but price is competitive . Other fish items are slightly over priced .
It was my first time in fish garage! But not the last one. it’s the paradise for fish lovers. The restaurant is small but cozy u can’t go with expectation of high ambiance but great food and friendly staff. We order lady finger in tawa fry which was fresh and mouth watering, prawns masala was same as u find in Manglore home , squid ghee roast was ok but place for improvement in taste and their signature dish king fish green masala was excellent it was Smokey and light base green masala can’t stop eating it!
Rate wise i felt pocket friendly our bill was Rs900 with two juice

Awesome seafood fare. Not a very large setup hence may not accommodate a lot of folks. But the fish is fresh and the preparations are fantastically flavorful. I loved the Nei Meen masala, the Anjal masala and tawa fry. Team them up with some soft Neer dosa and some boiled red rice for a real taste of the coast. The squid ghee roast was the weakest dish against the standards of the other items that I ordered, however it was still a decent offering. Overall a definite thumbs up and should be on your must visit list when in Mangalore!
We had fish meals, prawn ghee roast and fish green masala. Everything on the table was Tasty and good. You wouldn't regret going to this place. If you want your food spicy, you just have to tell them while placing Ur order.

We friends visited fish garage accidentally, but ever since it's our favourite lunch and dinner spot. It's more like our adda. We love the dishes and the ambience. The combo of three butter fishes with three different masalas must be tried by everybody who gives a visit. The prawn biriyani is our favourite along with crab and prawn ghee roast. It's amazingly delicious and worthy. The food is totally worth it!

Keep aside the cleanliness and ambiance because it being small place probably they are not so seriously about the ambiance part.
If you are fed up with giri manjas, machali and narayans then this is the place to try.
I tried their three dishes and all were great in taste, anjal green masala, anjal butter garlic and disco tawa masala. Prices are nominal so do not hesitate in trying out.

I have visited this place many times and its never disappointing, prawns ghee roast and muru tawa fry are the best. Everything here is served super hot, and the place is budget friendly too. One needs to have patience after placing the order, as they take more time than other fish places do. Please don't try anything that's prepared using their green masala, as the masala tastes too bland and sometimes undercooked!! Apart from this everything else deserves a huge thumbs up 😊
I heard about this place from alot of people . As we all know how pricey costal food is. Seafood is supper expensive usually . But this place has amazing dishes with affordable prices . The dishes are super tasty and very authentic. There are many authentic costal dishes . A highly recommend place . Do try the squid ghee roast . A must try . It's worth trying
