Very good seafood, indian food items and platters at reasonable prices, quick and ordered service with the help of a very helpful and friendly staff as well.
Great restaurant for having fish and sea food. Best part it is near to NH-66 Highway. The taste of food is really great and even cost efficient thali you get. bangda fry and fried prawns was my personal favourite.
The chicken biryani and chicken lollipop served here are very good. This place has amazing seafood varieties. The paneer kadai served here is also good.

This restaurant is situated near Hosabettu.
It is an open area and maintained very neatly. We went to have our dinner and ordered
Chicken manchow soup: tasted normal, nothing out of ordinary.
Squid butter garlic : it was very tasty ! The quantity was sufficient for three of us.
The next was the Kādi patta chicken : it was one of the specialty of the evening. It was totally delicious! The chicken was very tasty
For the main course we had just the curd rice and pickle . Both tasted good. The pickle was super tasty.
We also had 3 lime soda.
Overall it was a good experience. The staff was friendly and the service was pretty good.
And the total bill was around 850 INR for three people, which is a pretty decent amount.

Good place to be on the highway. A Large open space with a very courteous and welcoming staff. Great food lots of options and reasonably priced.
Yumm sea food. I had prompret tava fry and fish curry meals. It was tasty and yumm. Worth having food who like sea food. They are preparation is unique.

Tried Bangda puli munchi, Bangda tandoori fry n deep fried prawns which was excellent in taste.. (authentic mangalore style)

Very pleasant atmosphere. Good staff, commendable and tasty food. Not too heavy on the pocket. Must visit with family and friends. Anjal tava fry and spawn koliwada are just mouth watering.

Stopped here on my trip to mlore. Place was empty for lunch, which was good for us in this pandemic :) service is good. Food is also good. We tried the ghee roast (which is different to the regular preparation I have had), prawn butter garlic was good too. The Pomphret rava was the WHOLE fish and the rava was bit hard and hence wasn't that great. Please do the price for the fish before ordering.
This hotel was suggested by my friend and I was surprised to taste such awesome dishes. These dishes were recommended by the owner, first was the Maui fish fry and then it was chicken stu with appam. Loved the taste
It is a very good place for family . If you compare the taste of the food in this area (hosabettu) and surathkal this will be the best because according to taste wise the dishes which I have bought are very good and excellent this is the only hotel which will try to satisfy the customer by making a dry item dish into an semi gravy or vice-versa . This hotel is also specialised on fish items And I have to specify that my family has an interest on fishes and they love this hotel for that and anytime any guest comes to our house they will tell us to take them to this hotel only to have a fish item . Compareing the hotels of hosabettu and surathkal according to the price of the food items it is very less compared to other hotel . Because I have been in this area since my childhood and I have checked the food and their sanity of the hotel . You will be suprised that this hotel is the best in this area .
While returning back to Mangalore near Surathkal we had a quick lunch here.The Kodai Rawa fry and Anjal tawa fry were tasty.. rightly spiced and huge portion sized. The Chicken thali and Veg thali was not bad at all. But clearly their speciality is different varieties of fish preparations. Large seating space efficient service and good parking available.
Located although the highway Surmaii sea food restaurant was a delight to try out in Suratkal. We loved the Tawa fried Anjal Prawn Ghee roast.
More than adequate seating capability present.
It is a non ac family restaurant but fortunately cause of the high ceiling it doesn’t get too hot.
Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone passing by this restaurant.

It's an nice seafood restaurant near Mangalore highway I tried Fish fry it was very tasty especially it's masala was too good ,I also had boiled rice with fish curry. Value for money
Fantastic food,priced very reasonably, compared to the prices in Mangalore city, especially Surmaai,squid felt the quantity could be a little more(for the price), however was tasty n fresh,sorry no images of the food itself as forgot after looking,was really delicious.4* because the staff could have a smile on the face n quantity of squid! And, no,the food is definitely not Kerala style,it's South Canara/Mangalore style, albeit with similarities!
In a single word, BAD. I usually avoid making negative remarks. However, there is an exception this time. I'd heard a lot about them, but I'm not sure what went wrong. It takes a long time to serve. Waiters appear to be bored when serving you. You must yell and accept the cost. The food quality was not up to par. Surmaai had to roll back to the name it had earlier when it had started. Good luck team .
