This family-run cafe and restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with great views. The breakfast is fantastic, and they also have an extensive lunch and dinner menu with Tibetan and Chinese options. Their breakfast sets are reasonably priced and come with eggs, hash browns, and tea or espresso coffee.

Love this little family run place! Amazing food... I tried a number of breakfast and main dishes as well as the carrot cake. All amazing. The older man who runs the place is extremely friendly and talkative. Many books to read on the shelves, mostly about populations that have been forced into exile. Wish I could take a version of this place back home!

Cosy cafe ,a small climb from the main square. They have low sitting, floor sitting and table seating inside and two tables outside overlooking the mountains. The restaurant owner was very polite. We ordered Sha Tang following certain reviews and it was delicious. We also ordered Glass /Rice noodles. The cost was quite reasonable too. Worth a visit.

Very cozy place and very testy Chinese food. The price is a little bit high, but it’s worth to have food here. Highly recommended.

My favorite place in Mcleod Ganj to work, read, study, chill, and hang out. Cool vibe with kids and dogs roaming and lounging about, especially the one dog who is going back and forth despite a limp from a car accident. One worker reminds me of Manuel of Fawlty Towers, maybe because he doesn't speak English and has some of the same mannerisms. My favorite items on the menu are the Chinese spicy pork, pancakes (so fluffy), hash browns (potatoes so crispy), sha tag, spinach tofu stir fry, Taiwanese cabbage pillows, toffee bar. Still working my way through the menu! Service can be a bit intimidating for the newbie since they're usually busy, in and out of the kitchen. But just grab a menu, pen and paper from around the cashier area and write your order. This helps the busy staff!

Common Grounds Cafe is a lovely little cafe-restaurant that serves a blend of Tibetan, Chinese and other foods. The menu is extensive and they did justice to every item we ordered. The interiors have a bunch of books and different kinds of seating, indoor and outdoor. I also found some antique Chinese ink brushes and related paraphernalia as part of the decor. The family runs it together, and are a warm bunch, ready with their smiles and hospitality. I recommend spending a long afternoon here. It's a couple of minutes walk from the main Chowk.

The place is located close to the market but has an extremely quaint vibe- perfect for a quiet read or working. They also have a lot of books in case you're interested in learning more about Tibet's historical significance. I've dined at multiple small local cuisine places in & around Mcleodganj, yet found the menu at this place to be quite unique with a blend of authentic Chinese & Tibetan preparations. We tried Sha Tag, rice noodles & toffee cake and all tasted superb! Highly recommended for a quiet and cozy afternoon, with delicious culinary experience! Would have wanted to try more things but discovered on last day (by chance)

Amazing place! Really means its name where the menu is so diverse. Many healthy choices, comfortable sitting area, Anyone comes here spend quite a good time to enjoy the delicious food & drinks with cozy, comfortable sitting and positive vibes. We ordered below dishes and enjoyed every bit of it. Dawa’s sweet and spicy sizzler - Smoked Tofu with vegetables coated in a slightly tangy sauce which keeps the original taste of tofu and vegetables yet gives a mild taste of the sauce. We loved it. Taiwanese cabbage pillow - It was healthy and super delicious and a best choice if you are avoiding carbs. Taste like momos but wrapped into a cabbage leaf. The sauce that comes with it compliments the taste. Nutella Pancake - The fluffiest pancake we ever had! Our kid enjoyed it. Must try. Thank you. Will be coming back again for more!
