Really a calm and peaceful hidden gem in the Dharamshala area. This coffee and tea cafe serves great drinks and good food. The vegan matcha late is super balanced and super healthy. The cafe features pictures and stories of Tibetan people and positive messaging. The team is super kind and full of loving energy. They have a warm and calm vibe and are very inviting. The space is super clean and full of amazing aromas. Come support this local shop đź’ś

We had a wonderful time at Hope Cafe. We firstly booked their Lhakar Day which was a great experience. Came back after that every day for food or the movie on Friday. The staff is wonderful and this little almost hidden cafe made our time in McLeodganj more special. Thanks for everything 🙏 Dennis&Misha PS: They make the best coffee in McLeodganj :)

Super cute cafe and restaurant. They have a great selection of drinks. We ordered espresso and iced latte. It was nice the espresso came traditional style, with a glass of water. They also serve Korean dishes, which is a welcome variety after so much Tibetan and Indian food. We had kimchi fried rice and bimbimbap. Both were tasty and would order again.

Been here so many times now that I can’t keep count, they run documentaries on Mondays and Fridays on many topics surrounding Tibet (definitely a recommendation for people who want to know more and share their thoughts with the café’s community). I did the Lhakar as well which they do on Wednesdays, learnt so much about the culture and had some delicious momos as well. If you are in McLeodganj, walk-in, there are literally so many stories that the walls will speak to you too :)

We love this place and regularly visit! It’s a must for good food and friendly service. If you visit on a Wednesday make sure you sign up for Hakka, where you dress up as a Tibetan and learn more about their culture. They have documentaries every week, which are so insightful and educational!

The lovely group of young Tibetans who run Hope Coffee and Stories will not only feed you delicious Tibetan tea, scrumptious Momos and an assortment of Korean foods. At this cosy and delightfully decorated cafe I also saw films about Tibetan history and culture. I was also fortunate enough to take part in their first ever Lhakar event - a special day tour that involved visiting the Dalai Lama temple and learning about Tibetan Buddhism, wearing a traditional chuba dress and joining a Tibetan folk dance circle in the evening. There were other activities and surprises along the way! I highly recommend visiting the cafe for a tea or meal, and asking the Stories of Tibet team about their organisation. You will walk away with information about the culture and lives of these incredibly resilient but warm people, and you might also make some friends ^_^

Hope cafe has a very special vibe, each corner of this space is designed so thoughtfully. Got a feeling like Korean Drama or a Japanese Anime film. My favourite place in Dharamshala. A really relaxed space to read. They have a library filled with some great reads you can borrow. They also have talks on most days to learn about Tibet and the struggles of Tibetans. 10/10
