Just beside the lovely Lung Ta Japanese restaurant is Tibetan Tea House. The hostess is lovely and great. Talking about the place itself, it's small cozy and really beautiful place with lots of stuff to do. They have lots of books in the bookshelf and pretty good ones along with small games and sketch or colour books as well. We had a nice time. Talking about food, it was just alright I'd say. Not amazing as I thought it would be. Maybe the non veg items are better. Expecting great veg items from Tibetan cousine is maybe a too hard ask 🤔. But good thing is that the food is quite cheap. Overall nice and simple experience.

Lovely, homely, friendly place. Excellent collection of books incl. on Buddhism and many gems by His Holiness. I had the Butter Tea. It was hot and sharp in taste - served in a flask along with bowl. The flask contained several bowlfuls of tea. Then I ordered onion bhajjis - it was a rainy day after all - and they brought a heaped plate, 15 pieces I think. Very tasty not too oily. Really nice place. Some monks were playing Uno!!:) Next time will spend more time...relaxing, down to earth...

I had a delightful experience at this charming place. The calming ambiance, warm staff, and delicious food made it memorable. Can't wait to return with friends soon! Hygiene was impeccable, and the thukpa and puri chai were divine. Highly recommended!

Tibetan Tea House and Restaurant is a hidden gem in McLeod Ganj. The interior is colourful, warm and cozy, the atmosphere is relaxed, the cleanliness standard is very high, the food is prepared from fresh ingredients and served by kind-hearted people. This turned out to be my favourite place to eat in the McLeod Ganj/Dharamshala/Dharamkot region.

I recently had the pleasure of trying the Indian meal at a Tibetan restaurant, and it was an absolute delight! The combination of Tibetan and Indian flavors created a unique and mouthwatering experience. The restaurant's attention to detail in both presentation and taste was exceptional. The roti was soft and flavorful, the rajmah and mix vegetable had just the right balance of spices, and the dessert was a true highlight. The warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience. I highly recommend trying the Indian and Tibetan cuisine at this Tibetan restaurant for a one-of-a-kind culinary journey that will leave your taste buds satisfied and wanting more!

One of the best food in Mcleodgang! Highly recommend the steam momos! We paid INR760 for 3 of us, including: momos, large noodles, another dish and 3 drinks Portions are generous and the lady there is friendly and super cheerful!

Wonderful small place, with very sweet owner and cook. Great food, particularly the chicken soup I found very nourishing. Many books available for reading while you lounge there. I really like Tibetan Children Tales "The Three Boys", giving a taste of old myth and culture.

I liked the sign saying 'enter as guests, leave as friends', and decided to give this little place a chance. Glad I did! the tea house is super cozy, the pillowcases are beautiful, bathroom was clean, and the ladies working there were very friendly. i spent hours going through an India travel guide they had on their shelf while drinking some good tea and eating a cookie :) definitely recommend!!

So lovely, felt like being at home with the chef gently singing in the background. Intimate dining with great food. You can ask for eggless etc to match your dietary needs. Servers felt like family.
