There's a little chunk of Spain right in Morjim, courtesy Guapa. It's essentially the coming together of ideas, focused on how the Spanish eating culture could work in an Indian setting.
The size of the menu is just right, in our opinion; not so large that it's overwhelming, and not so small that it's limiting when it comes to personal preferences. It's largely tapas-based menu, with a few large plates and desserts on it for good measure.
We had the best time there.
Excellent food, very high quality meats and ingredients. I had the Beef steak, was a little sceptical about a medium rear, but the meat was so good would not mind having it rear. Prices are fair and ambience is pleasant, service was also prompt.
Hands down the best Spanish food!! Loved everything we tried - empanadas with roasted chicken, tostada with Avacado, chicken cannelloni, mushroom churros and Torrija. Very curated menu and super delicious menu. All love for this small place to be one of the top restro soon in Goa and elsewhere.
Amazing food. Very experimental menu and executed to perfection. The host is warm, the ambience is welcoming and they have great music to complement the whole experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if in Morjim. If not, drive up here.
In pic: Bomba de Barcelona & Mushroom Cannelloni
Well I had the chance to visit Guapa twice during my trip to Goa this September. Must admit the food is simply extraordinary, tasty and mind blowing.. must try the steak here along with the banana smoothie. Also the ambience is top of the world.
Special shout out to Mahesh for his superb recommendations.
I had never tried Spanish cuisine before Guapa and I can say that this place was a perfect gateway into it, for me. We ordered the Mushroom Cannelloni, which was superb, sooo flavourful. We also happened try a few cocktails, very interesting combinations — we couldn’t stop with just one.
Lovely ambiance, good live music (on certain days), top notch service and hospitality. It was my first time trying a spanish restaurant and I did taste some unique flavours here, especially the tiger prawns. Just the pulled pork burger was a bit too sweet for my liking, but nevertheless it's a great place. There's scope however to make the menu price more competitive.
Really good quality ingredients, delicious croqueta, dare I say better than Spain having lived there many years! Or maybe I’m bullish after 2 months of delicious (but pretty much only) Indian food. Steak was excellent too. Nicer music than most places. Quiet but went late on a Tuesday.
We had Christmas Eve dinner here, it was incredible. The lobster was amazing. All the staff are so friendly and accommodating. We’ve been back again since and everything we’ve eaten and all the drinks have been awesome.
While visiting India this April we did a week in Goa. A stand out for me was our time in Guapa - which was absolutely wonderful 😍 owners Pri and Sid are warm welcoming hosts and you feel relaxed and at home the moment you enter. The atmosphere of Guapa is festive without being noisy or obtrusive, it has a beautiful laid back feeling for a nice evening out. My group started with cocktails, moved on to tapas and a main course of paella, followed by dessert. It was a sublime culinary experience. In every detail of ingredient and presentation, you can see how much love and thought has gone into creating this menu. I rarely drink alcohol anymore so I was very very happy when I chose the chilli mango cocktail , it was excellent! We were also lucky to see a live performance on one of the two days we visited ( yes we went back!) And that was such a lovely bonus! I can't wait to visit Guapa with my friends on my next trip to India!! Thanks for making it such a lovely experience!!
Guapa isn't just a name but an emotion for us as my partner and I visited this amazing place at Morjim on Christmas. We were totally mesmerised and definitely tipsy by the variety of food and cocktails this place had to offer. The spine of any restaurant is the food and Guapa's food - i literally tried a dozen items including the signature desserts and I fell in love with them with every bite. The progression of the culinary magic and mixology was definitely upped by the amazing hospitality of Priyanka and Sidharth (the owners) who were the stars of the Christmas celebrations. I wouldn't recommend one or two but would recommend you all to try all the items in the menu and definitely cover it up over lunch and dinner to relish this amazing experience.
We just loved Guapa and will definitely be visiting in our next Goa trip as Guapa means beautiful in Spanish and this place definitely elevates this adjective with the food they serve certainly is at the top of our Spanish Cuisine places!!
One of the best food I have ever had in Goa! And definitely the best cocktails!
Guapa is a cozy and elegant restaurant where you can try real Spanish cuisine. It’s a paradise for meat lovers. I tried almost everything from the menu and every time I felt like I was in Spain. It’s delicious!
There is also a bar where you can try amazing cocktails, classic ones and bartender’s specials.
Perfect place for a date or meeting friends. There is life music on weekends!
Guapa is run by lovely people who make you feel very special:)
The Pineapple Chilli Margarita is a tantalizing blend of sweet and spicy notes that dance on the palate. The tropical burst of pineapple perfectly complements the kick from the chilli, creating a refreshing and bold cocktail. Served with flair, it's a must-try for those seeking a unique twist on the classic margarita experience.
Great cocktails, live music and of course the food and desserts! We went back again the next day just to binge on desserts. And if you love dogs, you also get free cuddles from Max and his friend who have adopted Guapa as their hang out.
An extraordinary dining experience! From the impeccable quality & taste of every dish to the flawless execution, this restaurant around the corner truly exceeded all expectations. The ambience was fantastic with great music and a lovely vibe. It was quite memorable to share this experience with my friends. A must-visit for anyone who is in North Goa looking for exquisite cusine and experience!
This is a delightful Spanish inspired restaurant near Morjim beach. The owners are former tech executives who have quit their lucrative careers to pursue their passion for food.
We ordered a variety of tapas which were all delicious. The paella is quite unique, not cooked the traditional way but “deconstructed” and yet delicious.
A slice of Spain in Goa, elevated with local flavors. Guapa had been on our list for a long time - we finally made it for dinner, and it was totally worth the wait!
First the food. The menu is exquisitely curated, and the dishes deliver on the promise. We had the steak tartare toast, mushroom & parmesan churros, Catalonian pork belly, Goan chorizo croquetas and the deconstructed seafood paella. Not only were the flavors perfectly balanced across all the dishes, the ingredients were super fresh. For drinks, they have a nicely crafted menu of margaritas and martinis - the pomegranatini was our favorite. We ended with the Basque Cheesecake, and I must admit it's one of the best I've ever had!
With the laidback outside seating, the vibe is chilled out, and the wonderful staff take it up a notch. Full props to the lovely owners, who have poured their heart and soul into this restaurant. Can't wait to see where Guapa goes next!
