It was my first time at this amazing restaurant. My family has been here before and they could not stop talking about the variety of dishes, quality of the food, and the ambience.
My visit definitely lived up to the "hype". The staff was amazing and always recommending the best options.
I will definitely go back and try other items on the menu. I would also recommend this place to anyone who visits Mumbai - very good value for money, great service, and amazing environment.
We have been looking forward to visit this place for quite some time. Last time when we tried to dine here, we couldn’t get a table. Next time when we again were planning dinner, we did not even try because we were not ready for disappointment of not getting a place or table here. But finally, we decided to give it one more try, and hurrahs! We managed to seat our group of 8 for lunch. As the name suggests, it’s a pure Burmese restaurant. And that’s so obvious right from the moment one enters here. The decor with niches on the wall, the ceiling decorated with upside down hanging Burma style umbrellas & hats, and the tiny innumerable artefacts filling one big wall definitely catch your attention. The menu is nicely spread. They serve variety of bao, steamed buns with interesting fillings. One is definitely curious to know how the next dish will be, especially after tasting the various starters. “Oh No Khausui” is unmissable. The desserts are tastefully presented of course, don’t fail to arouse visual delight. Amazing fact is, they don’t serve alcohol, they serve only tea options, it’s a vegetarian restaurant, still it’s difficult to find a seat here. We loved the decor, the menu, the presentation & almost everything at this lovely place! They will also offer khau sui paste which you can purchase to take home & make similar gravy at home. In a nutshell, it’s a must-visit place!
👌🏼👍🏼👏🏼
It's a great veg place and has a good amount of Jain options which is always a plus. I would be happier if they had more jain options too. The staff is very friendly and cordial , the food was delivered on time and it was really good. Would help if the menu has photos of the dishes or something since many a times we don't know what we are ordering , but the staff always helped us to select the best options . Would definitely recommend to Jain's and veg friends . Plus the peanut sauce is ❤️❤️

The peak of what vegetarian food can be. Flavors were superb, spicy and very satisfying. Loved the black egg rolls with the peanut sauce.
Ambience is good. Much accolades have been put up on display. Tried signature fried rice. Nothing different. High end and quite costly not a kind of regular joint. But actually if u want international flavours you may visit.
Yummy khowsuey and mushroom fingers. Good service. Went in early around 12.30pm so we got a table easily without reservation.
We went in for a pre-lunch snack on a Sunday and got the Chocolate Bubble Tea and BBQ Jackfruit Buns
We went in just before the lunch rush and got seated immediately but I definitely recommend calling prior and making a reservation
The Chocolate drink was nice, the boba did not have much flavour, I am not sure if they soak it in syrup before hand
But the texture was perfect
The right amount of chewy and soft, even in a cold beverage
The buns were soft and fluffy. The filling was slightly sweet, with a hint of spice, the jackfruit was cooked well.
The restaurant is vegetarian and non-alcoholic.
The service was good and not too slow.
They have some sampling dipping sauces on every table that you can try, very flavourful.
The lighting is mellow
The place was chatty, but there were no unnecessary sounds
We had a great experience there.
For dinner, we ordered a couple of dishes. Starting with the best, the Biscoff bubble tea is an absolute must-have. The edamame hummus had really interesting sour and spicy hints in it. While the gravy for the charred broccoli, and it’s combination with cheese was interesting — it could have been more flavourful.
My least favourite dishes were the baos (flavourless and bland) and the samosa soup (mid).
The only authentic Pure veg. Burmese food in Mumbai. Very nicely made interiors and amazing Burmese food. Well trained and warm staff. They know their menu really well and help you pick according to your preferences. Jain food options available as well.
Tried their Pan fried dumplings and OhNo khow suey. Both are a blessing to your taste buds. Definitely worth visiting and trying this cuisine.
It gets crowded on weekends and waiting period can go more than an hour so I would suggest to go a little early than peak dinner hours.
Great experience.
No reservations expected. It’s on first come basis.
Best place for vegetarians.
No alcohol served here . Small joint. Good food . Great service.
Fabulous place showcasing vegetarian Burmese food, top class flavours and very authentic dining experience
Top notch food quality and ambience. The rolls and peanut chutney were piping hot and too good. I had one of the soups and it was the creamiest soup I ever had, they come with a tray of extra items which you can add to your soup to enhance the flavours.
Authentic Burmese food located opposite Oh Dough @ Fort. Generally, they do require reservation as the restaurant is almost full most of the times.
It's a perfect place to enjoy authentic Asian-Burmese food and tea with your friends, family or a date. Very cosy place and the staff is friendly and helpful.
We ordered:
Khoe Suey - 5/5 (Must try)
Lotus Stem crisps - 2.5/5 (Average)
Burmese Rice with Stirred vegetables - 4/5 &
Avocado Icecream - 5/5 (Must try)
They have discontinued our favourite item -Pan Fried Broccoli Rice Rolls.
It's value for money as the food is top notch.
Average cost for 2 people - Rs. 1800
Lovely food, great atmosphere and attentive service. We didn’t have a booking so we sat at the bar but it was still a comfortable and lovely experience, with plenty of room. We wished they served alcohol but the mocktails were still delicious! Very very good vegetarian food, highly recommend the taro tacos!
I wish I could’ve given this place a five star. I feel like because I was that Indian maybe I was treated like a second class citizen. I put in my order and the gentleman was not listening. Spoke English fluently and I took his recommendations on what to order. I’m sitting there and sit in there and sitting there waiting for my food and then one dish comes out and I finished it sitting there and sitting there sitting there waiting for my second dish and he goes, you only order the appetizer was in town for work so I didn’t how much time rush to get my main course brought to me. This still is one of the most incredible restaurants in Mumbai. He is completely vegetarian, but the most tasty food I’ve ever had, and all the drinks concoctions are incredible. I just wish the server was more with it!
Burma Burma has always been one of my favourite restaurants. Their salads, soups and khow suey tastes amazing with authentic flavours.
Their mocktails are worth a try and always offer you a blend of unique flavours and textures.
This place never disappoints and we always leave with a big smile and full stomach 💝
It was my third time at Burma Burma and I keep coming back here. This place serves the best Burmese food in town - even in Jain. We had ordered crispy Lotus stem, Burmese Khow Soey and Veg Hakka Noodles and to end the meal, we ordered Saffron and Samuza Cheesecake. The food and service is amazing. All their desserts are eggless.
Also, they don't take reservations, and are usually overbooked on weekends. We waited for more than an hour to get a table. But the wait was worth it.
The samosa soup is a must try! Its something i introduce to all my friends and they absolutely love it.
And not to miss their bubble tea the classic chai flavour. These are the two things i always go for.
The ambience of the Colaba branch is average. The Bangalore/ kolkata ones i have visited are very spacious and relaxing. This one is bit cramped up. Nevertheless the food brings you back here
Outstanding - is the word to describe this place. Talk about food or ambiance or service everything is on point. The stuff is extremely humble, they suggested us the best of dishes as we had some jain friends with us. Not just the food but the desserts are also next level and the presentation is damn good. They have recently launched a range of artisanal ice creams and the flavours are a must try.
Totally a try worthy resturant and tea room
