Being a meat eater, I was recommended to try MLH, I'm not very fond of fish, but the taste of the scrumptious Basa fish in manglorian style was superb, as it's boneless and doesn't have the fishy smell, I thoroughly enjoyed the Bombay duck fry as well. I also loved the spicy Andhra Basa style. What helped was the patience of the staff that helped me decide which would be the best for me. Definitely gonna visit again and strongly recommend MLH (Mahesh Lunch Home)

Just amazing food!!! It is one of Mumbai's must-eat restaurants. Whichever dish you take is worth the money. Every time I visit Mumbai, I ensure that I eat at Mahesh atleast once.
One of the best destinations for sea food lovers. Offers a plethora of sea food and other non veg items including crabs, prawns, fishes, chicken, lamb,etc. Surprisingly veg items like biryani are also good. Though a lil pricy, its worth it.

I visited this place on my Mom's birthday as she likes seafood. This place is a seafood legend and rightly so. The Surmai fry and fish masala were exquisite and the deserts were also good. The ambeince and crowd also help improve the overall experience of the restaurant.
After lots of planning visited this place. We ordered for tandoori pomfret, fry bombay duck crab in chettinad gravy along with appam. It was a delightful experience. As i had booked it through dineout I got complimentary mocktail - Imli soda was worlds best refreshing drink i ever had. And please not chettinad gravy has lot of coconut so tastes slightly sweet so if you like spicier masala gravy choose some other gravy.

Always the best place to eat fish. My nephew and me had a great weekend relaxed lunch.. we tried fish starters - four different seafood and cooking styles. Each dish served was fresh, not too salty nor spicy and nicely cooked. The hot fish taste was great with cold beer! Ambience is good, the soft music in background didn't bother our talk, upstairs seating arrangement was good, service was nice - the servers gave us space and did not hurry. Main course was delicious appam with fish Rawas Gassi curry was perfect. Rs.4000 for two with drinks without dessert. Overall nice place for seafood!
I had visited this restaurant to satisfiy my sea food cravings and yes my choice was right. This is one of those restaurant which provides you the mangolarian food dishes which you rarely find somewhere else. Mahesh Lunch Home has been on my list of places to try for the longest time! And i finally did end up here to satisfy my seafood cravings. Started off with the crab meat soup - classic & simple in taste with a good amount of crab meat in each spoonful. Was in a mood for fish fry but then 'Roasted fish' on the menu caught my attention, our server also recommended that over fish fry, so we went with that. It consisted of beautifully grilled (in olive oil), soft pieces of Basa fillets crusted on the top with crunchy roasted garlic and seasoned with herbs & red chilli. It had a wonderful spicy tangy flavor & was a joy to devour.. a must recommend for anyone who visits here!

The Crab Special menu has around 22 dishes, variety of starters,soup and mains hero ofcourse being the crab.
For soup the manager Mr.Manoj highly recommended the Crab Pepper Soup which was creamy and had a generous portion of crab meat and delicately spiced, while I went for the basic Tomato soup.
For starters we ordered Hara Bhara Kabab and The Salt and Pepper Crab..The kebabs were well made and so was the crab nicely spiced with pepper and the portion generous.
For Mains we went for The Mallipuram Vegetable which was a a green gravy base and paired with Neer Dosa, while for the NV opted for Kundapur Crab Curry with fresh warm appams. The fiery curry is from the mangalore region ..perfect balance of spices and very well cooked. A lot of research is done and lot of dishes tested before they put up the final menu. The festival is on until 25th of October. Must visit for all sea food lovers.
This place is a heaven for all the non veg lovers out there..All the non vej dishes are tasty here with a reasonable rate chart..i would totally recommend this all the people to try out this place
Great sea food place in Juhu beach area. Lots of fresh live catch. They will bring to your table, you pick and they will cook it to your requested style.At least that's how it worked for us . They have a great selection of other menu items. Great place and great service.
We ordered the koliwada fish fry ( surmai)
It was good with outer coating and green chutney but the coating could have been more flavourful

Next up for the mains we ordered manglorian sukka chicken curry(I don't remember the name actually)and crab Mysore curry with rice and appam and neer dosa .
It was my first time trying crab and it was so so good with nice flavourful gravy
The crab meat was soft and slightly sweet .

Visited after a decade to Mumbai. And this happens to be one of the place on list to visit.
It was packed but to our luck we got the table.
Food was good we had couple of beer and ordered crab butter garlic with was good. And then we ordered tandoori Pomfret which i thought would come as a whole but came as chunks though taste was good and for Main Course we ordered squid malabar and Appam squid could been better but appam was good.
Service could have been also more prompt.
Once the dinner was over we were promptly asked to vacate the table.
Staff was friendly. Food was a little too expensive. Enjoyed our dinner.
I have completely loved the food over here though I found the service to be lacking a bit given the prices of the items. But food was just mouthwatering.
We had their Pomfret Tawa fry and sadly it wasn't fresh. Preparation was good but the fish was stale and bitter.
We had Appam with Rawas Mallipuram and Prawns in Malabar Curry they both were fingerlicking good.
I also had the Prawns Biryani and it was quite good too.
To end it we had Coconut Payassam and again something new and very delicious at the same time
I've always loved eating here. Their seafood is wonderful - I had tandoori prawns. And their meat curry was divine. With appams, I was in heaven. Service is fast and the waiters are friendly and knowledgeable. I found myself sitting to a rather obese film producer from Andhra, with a gold chain as thick as my index finger. Entertaining!

Mahesh Lunch home is one of my favourite places for dinner when I visit Mumbai. This outlet is located on Juhu Tara Road near JW Marriott.
The place is usually busy during dinner hours, I was lucky to get a table for two.
The service is good and they recommend dishes which are really nice.
We ended up ordering slightly more than we could eat, but all the dishes were great: for starters we had Prawns Crispy Fried with garlic they were big, juicy and really yummy.
We also ordered Boneless Crab Butter pepper garlic which is one of the best dishes they have, I have eaten it before as well and it is very consistent and tasty. For the main course we choose Rawas Vijayawada Curry with rice, the curry was spicy and flavourful. Just like we wanted to eat.
We also ordered beer which came chilled with peanuts, over all the meal was very nice and a definite visit for people who love seafood.
Overall my experience at this outlet was really good as it always is.
The cost for the meal including 2 beer was 4800 INR which is on a bit higher side being Mumbai, but the taste and experience was worth it.
If you want to experience a fine dine experience than please visit here as this is a classy place in Mumbai and people don't mind waiting here for the tables, food I think quantity and quality wise they have one of the best in town. Here the food tastes gourmet. The hygiene is well maintained.
Went for an early dinner, reached at 7 pm when they open for dinner, ambience is good and it's fine dining experience. We ordered fried tiger prawns, fresh lime, kadahi mushroom and mutton ghee roast, mutton ghee roast was best in lot which we had with neer dosa and appam. Though prices are bit on higher side which is fine considering quality and ambience but they also charge mandatory service charge of 10% on all your orders. Parking can be an issue for this place.
Food was slightly overpriced for what was served, really appreciate the freshness however. Will not recommend cocktail here.
