We were passing Kamala Mills and my friend insisted me to dine with him at The Fatty Bao. We got a table around 2pm. Loved the decor and the table top items. Felt nice to sit in an Asian decor room and eat. What we ate?
We called for the Mushroom Bell Peppers Bao and Spicy Fried Fish Bao. Both the dishes were excellent in taste. The flour of the bao was absolutely well done. Light and fluffy. The fried fish tasted nice and the combo of mushroom and Bell peppers was just perfect. The fish bao made a round 2 on the table. Yay.
The California Roll Sushi (4 pcs) Crab Meat sushi served with pickled ginger and a ball of wasabi along with the soy sauce.
Prawns Chive Dimsums were yummy. What I liked the most in this dish was the sheets. Very well done guys. The thin sheet didn't over power the flour taste nor they were chewy and allowed all the richness of prawns and Chive to explode in our mouths.
In the middle we called for some beers to push down our food.
For the mains we called for Egg Fried Rice, Celery Chicken Gravy and Udang Noodles. I loved the rice and celery chicken. Also the noodles were nice. The noodle gravy was non spicy and full of exotic veggies.
Recommandations: Chicken Celery Gravy, Spicy Fried Fish Bao and the Prawns Tempura.
The staff is well trained. Ujjain who is one of the staff took very good care of us by helping us select the right dishes and also serving them nicely. We enjoyed some good music too. Since it was afternoon time we wanted some lazy music like jazz or bossanova which apparently made it in the playlist. The music is controlled by BC JUKEBOX where we added some tracks and enjoyed the session. Will visit FB more for their other items.
I've loved everything I've ordered from here so far. Special favorite is Rainy Day Kimchi Noodle. The eggplant bao was great too.
I must say the food was excellent! Very delicious! We ordered for Chicken Sagoti thali with wade.. too good.. just right for one person. And prawn biryani was just right for 2 persons. Amazing 👏 keep up the good quality!
Really amazing mouthwatering bao. The naps are soft and juicy. A variety of different ramen and noodles available. It’s really flavourful and worth having a meal here. I loved my experience.
The Fatty Bao has some amazing food! By far one of the best Asian restaurants ever with a wide range of food. The staff is extremely courteous & the food is unreal. The place is relatively expensive but totally worth it

A great restaurant if you are a Thai food or Chinese lover. A bit expensive but must try restaurant. I ordered using Zomato and got a great discount. The packing was so perfect, no leakage. The most recommended dish would be Lamb and Prawns.

Via Malaysian Chicken Ramen in two big bowls and with lots of chicken pieces. The soup of Ramen, consistency of noodles and tender pieces of chicken together make this a great dish. Spicy Asian Noodles were moderate in spice levels and the gravy was so delicious that we loved this dish overall. Fatty Bao was a restaurant where every single thing was perfect and after a long time I had absolutely satisfactory meal. I am visiting them again soon and trying few more dishes.

Really dependably good Indian cuisine. I like the shrimp biriyani a lot - also the malai kofta. Lots of things left to try on the menu, it's pretty big.
The ambience is suburban, ordinary. But, definitely worth a trip for the food!!

This place is right at Linking Road and hence the location is pretty good. The service is quick and the staff helps you with the order as well. One should definitely try their prawn dumplings. Not too many options for alcohol but the food deserves it's credit. Do check out the place if you want to indulge in some brilliant Asian cuisine.
What a great place for lunch. You will definitely not be disappointed. The food was authentic and extremely flavorful. It has very good portions and won't be too heavy on the wallet. Special mention to Mr.Das who served us superbly with a big smile on his face. Definitely made our visit better!

Just went for chatty lunch meetup and fatty bao didnt disappointed.We ordered edmame dimsum,Mushroom chilli bao,and via Malaysia ramen.
Dimsum were light and taty and didnt felt dense.
Highly recommend BAO..it was yummy. And Ramen was coconut based broth with lots of veggie and trust me the amount of quantity will fill you up.For Mocktails i ordered Sakura sakura..light citrusy but refreshing. Overall if you wanna enjoy asian cuisine this is the best place. :)

Well i was really craving for sushi and i heard about sushi and more and decided to try it out.
To my surprise they have so much of variety in their Vegetarian sushis which makes it quiet unique to try out the sushis from here .
Sushi is a more of a hardcore dish which could be loved by all people's...
SUSHI AND MORE has come up with 6-7 different variety of authentic sushis.
We loved our Thai-style mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive for a restaurant.
But the service was very good..
When we arrived and i show the environment for their is very nice and pleasing to our mind. they got our table ready. OK, There was no reason to make us wait at all.
We ordered the..
*crystal dumping.

*lil sushi roll.
*sandwich sushis.
*saba noodles.
* dessert.
THEY looked delicious. But, when we tasted and
OMG. the test of the food was palatable..
When the waiter asked if everything was ok, we said we food is awesome.. the and he said I just smiled and say, you loved food and thank you... He offer us anything else..

This is place is so ausome. My husband is jain and the made sure we were served jain food. The chef specially made jain Ramen for us. They really went out of the way to make the visit special for us. The ambience is cosy and everyone is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again!!

I had always seen and heard about Japanese people eating ramen and enjoying it so i thought this is the place where i can try a new dish and damnnn the ramen was so good the flavors were really delicious and the ambrosial scent of the dish was making me crave for the dish more and more...
Really they serve some awesome food which are really pocket friendly..

This has been hangout place with my wife whenever we are shopping in shoppers....baos are extremely delicious chicken, lamb and prawns+crab.....we had it every time....in alcohol my favourite is sangria....and in non alcoholic must try coconut +mix fruit drink

The Ambience is such that it gives a feel of Japan. The staff is friendly. The sitting is comfortable. They have indoor and outdoor sitting.

In Main course I loved the Fatty Bho Ramen.
The starters were very nice.
The food quality is good and hygienic. The food quantity is also good.
In the seafood all the fish and Prawns were very fresh and perfectly cooked.

Fatty bao is a good restaurant located in the crowded areas of Bandra. The ambience of this place is fabulous. The staff of this place is very polite. The last weekend I visited this place with my family.

All the dishes were good in taste. The quantity was good. I personally liked the Three cup chicken.

One of the best brands I ever visited for Asian cuisine. Their Andheri outlet is amazing too. Next time I would love to try bao of them as I always forget to order it. The service of their branch needs to be checked again from the management as in Andheri outlet I got really great service and was so happy with the cooperation they showed us. Talking about the beverages, they were spot on. Food wise I feel more touch up is required or might be just an odd day for them. But important is this is really a cool brand where you get amazing Asian food for sure.
This outlet is located in the lane which goes inside of linking road bandra. Nearby linking road KFC can be biggest a perfect landmark to say.
Went on Sunday lunch so was nice and fresh. Outside area is smoking area which looks really superb especially in so called winters Mumbai ever has it. Interiors of AC section looks really classy and very good mixing of the different colours in it. Bar has taken a little corner side and compromised for a small place.
DOUBLE JADE (Cocktail)- Fresh kiwi-based cocktail made with Gin, kiwi, kaffir leaves and khus syrup. Loved the freshness of fruit on sunny morning. (4.5/5)
RISKY WHISKY (Cocktail)- Whiskey based cocktail made with triple sec, whiskey, lime juice and topped with lemonade. A good strong drink you might like. (4.5/5)
SPICY SALMON & DIL (Roll) – Sushi is must coming to the Asian cuisine restaurant and that too of such a classy restaurant like fatty bao. Salmon dill roll was decent to be honest, felt little bland (I know sushi is always little bland in taste but this was even more). Good part is that you either can order 4 or 8 so its like half or full which helps you to choose different options. (4/5)
KAM HEONG CALAMARI (Starter)- Squid batter coated and then fried crispy enough then tossed in curry leaves, curry powder, chillies and coconut milk. More like a Malaysian- Indian touch to it. Loved it and yes must order. (5/5)
CHASU (Ramen)- Ramen noodles made with pork stock with bacon, braised pork belly, bean sprouts, soft boiled egg and lots of spring onions in it. Pork broth was super soothing to the palate. Might be it should have been little more flavourful/seasoned well. (4/5)
FATTY PHO (Ramen)- Combination of Black noodles, soft boiled eggs, fried onions, spring onions, smoked chicken and chicken stock. (3.5/5)
LEMONGRASS CRÈME BRULEE (Dessert)- Crème brulee made with lemongrass flavour and served along with apricot gel with ginger crumble honey comb, ginger apricot ice cream dollop. Plating of the dessert was done very well but honestly most important flavour which was lemongrass was really missing from the brulee. (3/5)
ZEN FOREST (Dessert)- Beetroot and black pepper sorbet served with green tea moss, black sesame sponge crumbs, yuzu parfait and some micro greens. Green tea moss was really good compared to the other elements of the dish. (4/5)

I came here despite not being a fan of Asian food. And I was converted! Their ambience is so so cool, their cocktails are refreshing and yummy. I had their Via Malaysia ramen and Seafood dimsum platter along with pork ribs. And zero complaints! My friends and I had a ball devouring the food.

I wanted to go to The Fatty Bao for so long, and I finally got my chance last Saturday. I went with my friend, Surabhi Negi, and we loved our time here.
Coming straight to the food, we enjoyed every bit of the Char Grilled Firecracker Chicken Bao, Thai Chicken Salad with Chicken Floss, and Custard Apple Panna Cotta. The service is efficient and the staff are good, too. Value for money? Absolutely.
So this is the second time i visited and loved it alot more!
Tried Ramen for the first time and TOTALLY loved it.
I tried via malaysia which had coconut based gravy and noodles with veggies. This is flavorful and trully delicious!
In starter i tried minced vegetable dumplings and they were amazing! I would say the crystal dumpling were much tastier than this!
Sakura Sakura is very refreshing drink to sip on while having food.
And last but not the least!
We tried fatty hill. It is chocolate mousse with rice crispies and vanilla bean ice cream!
Beautiful place for Asian food. RAINBOW SUSHI AND RAMEN noodles is a must try

The Fatty Bao is an amazing place to have Asian food. Usually I'm very skeptical of Asian food and avoid it, but this place changed my perception of the cuisine.
I visited during Christmas festive and the place was accordingly decorated with red coloured lights and gift boxes and a small Christmas tree. It was a sight to see, very beautiful!
The staff and service was equally amazing, the food was served to us very fast and the staff made sure that we were having a good time.
Coming to the food, here's what we had-
DOUBLE JADE
Started off with this drink which was a blend of gin mixed with kiwi, khus and kaffir lime. It was a really delicious sweet and tangy drink that was amazing to have, loved it!
PEACH FIZZLER
This was a mocktail, a blend of peach, apricot, orange and some lime juice. It was also tangy a bit more on the sweet side. Perfect to go with the food.
STUFFED MUSHROOM
An amazing starter. This one had a good amount of crispy fried stuffed mushrooms that were tossed with some chilli to make it a bit spicy. It was really delicious. The perfect taste of mushroom and the spice made it amazing.
EXOTIC MUSHROOM RAMEN
This was the perfect main course for us. One ramen with quantity enough for two people. This was the first time we had ramen and it was absolutely amazing. It had a mushroom broth with veggies and we just loved it!
FATTY HILL
A perfect end to a perfect meal! This dessert had a Chocolate pyramid with mint centre, along with almond praline,rice krispies and a scoop of vanilla!

New places come and go but have seen this place consistently performing and serving well to its customers from more than 4 years. The last time I had visited back in 2015 had tried their dimsum and baos and without doubt they were outstanding. This time I thought of trying some other items on their menu and also penning down my experience.
Drinks:
Sakura Sakura is a Fatty bao speciality mocktail served in wine glass. Recommended
Ho Gin Min: A gin based cocktail with a great presentation.
Food:
Pork belly &J: One of the best pork bellies I have ever tried. So well cooked and tender with great seasoning.
Recommended for pork lovers
Tempura prawns: Prawns fried with fish chips along. The presentation stood out in this dish as it was very well plated.
Crab meat sticky rice along with Asian fish curry was our main course. The curry was coconut based and went well with the rice. Provided some condiments in the form of fried onions and peanuts.
Fatty Hill: A chocolate based dessert with rich dark bitter chocolate .
Lemon grass creme brulee: A dessert with apricots...Different from the conventional desserts.
Overall a great experience; great decor and great service. Will highly recommend
What An Experience! The food was amazing. The ambience was really good and has a good seating.

Ambiance - It was just wow. All types of sitting arrangements were available. Place was well with decor and Lights with comfortable seats.

Chilli Crab & Prawns is one of our Singapore’s most iconic local National dishes. Crab and Prawns were nicely chopped and placed between bao along with spicy gravy on top of it. It liked it.

They only need to work on their services as that was a bit lagging as we had to wait 15 mins after being seated and handed menus for anyone to come take our orders. Other than the regular visit of the waiter to ask how the food is, he would be missing whenever we needed anything.

Yesterday we went to the Fatty bao. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation. Actually their all food was great but i like the spicy red chicken and cocoa caramel in dessert. It was very tasty. We enjoyed the drinks also. The place and staff was nice, their service was good❤

Yesterday I visited this place with my wife.
The ambience was beautifulIn cocktail i had Risky whiskey and in mocktail virgin double jade.
The food was excellent.
We tried assorted seafood dimsum,three cup chicken and Malaysian chicken curry with sticky rice.
In desserts the Japanese cheese cake was awesome.
Overall a good experience

We came here mostly because the other restaurant we wanted to go didn't work out.
This has been on my list for so long and I am glad I got to try it today!
We started with Peach Fizzler (250) and Cran cooler (250)
Then we ordered the following dishes:
* Char Grilled Firecracker Chicken bao (325)
* Chilli Crab & Prawn bao (435)
* Spinach and prawns dimsum
We loved the baos! The chicken bao was absolutely amazing and just the right level of spice. The chilli crab and prawns bao was also so unique for me.
While the dimsums were pretty tasty, the stars were definitely the baos!
We were a bit disappointed in the start by the service.. it took us quite some time to get the table we wanted ( even though we could see some empty tables). And it took us some time to be able to place the order.
But the service was better after sometime.
The total bill was 2044 which is a bit steep considering that the service left a bit more to be desired.
At the end, they gave us completely dessert which felt a lot like chikki wafer and jelly! I absolutely loved the chikki wafer!

Fatty bao is a japenese restaurant . They have two outlets in mumbai. Here you get authentic food of japan. From interior to taste to presentation everything is in Japanese style. It is the only Japanese restaurant which serves some delicious food with proper hygiene . Thier highly trained staff managed us properly. I was amazed by thier Japanese decor. I visited here for brunch. It's a family restaurant. Here you get so many options in menu. Veg / Non veg / seafood. The flavors of food is properly balanced. It's still on my tastebuds. Drinks: My favourite drink here is the Double Jade, This is a Kiwi drink and is very refreshing. you could also try the Popcorn sour, a whisky based drink topped with popcorn.
Starters- If you into Sushis, i recommend having the Spicy Salmon and Dill Roll. My personal favorite will be the Duck Nachos, highly recommended.
Mains- Ramen lovers can try their Spicy Red chicken Ramen, this is served in a bowl and enough quantity for 2.
Desserts- I highly recommend try the famous Japanese cheesecake. I also suggest trying their Custard apple Panna Cotta. This has a wonderful texture and it is eggless too.

I was wondering after having my meal here that how come I haven't visited this place yet! One of the best foodgasmic experience we had after having our lunch at this restaurant.
We went there for lunch the other day and the place was absolutely Christmas ready to welcome it's guests. The location was easy to find with a valet service so that we didn't waste any time unlike some other restaurants. We were welcomed warmly and they held our reservation for more than 30 minutes. The interiors were very much trendy and was buzz with guests enjoying their meals. The table settling too was very nicely done!
Coming to the food, how can you not order a Bao at Fatty Bao. So we ordered for Soicy Cottage Cheese and Spring Onion Shengjian Bao. It contained 4 pieces and was served with 3 different types of dips. The Baos were very sift and tended and had ample amount of fillings with the right flavours. It tasted amazing when we had them with the Dips served with it. For appetizers, we also ordered Vegetables and Chives Dumplings which contained 6 pieces. The Dumplings had the perfect balance of vegetables and the flavours and tasted amazing when oaired with the dips.
We were very much suitably advised by the staff to order all our food and we were really happy with tgeir recommendations.
For the main course, we wanted to keep it simple and went just the classic fried rice and Exotic Vegetables in Chilly Sauce. The main course had huge portions which was just enough for two of us. The fried rice had that nice crunchiness of crushed garlic and was nicely cooked unlike some other restaurants where it is is under / over cooked. The Exotic vegetables had lot of veggies like mushrooms, Broccoli, Tofu, Bell Peppers and not just gravy. On our request, they didn't make it very spicy which we then thoroughly enjoyed with the rice.
Last but not the least, the icing on the cake were the desserts. Despite our tummy were full with the awesome food, we tried two desserts. One - Japanese Cheese Cake and two - Fatty Hill. One of the best Cheesecake as this was very soft and creamy in texture. Fatty Hill is the Chef's recommendation which was made up like a Hill and contained Chocolate Cream, Mint Creme Brulee, Chocolate sorbet and covered with rice krispies. Whatever yiu eat or dont eat, but guys, please DO NOT MISS this dessert.
Overall 5/5 for nice decor, presentation of the food ( all the items were served hot) and the service. I will definitely be visiting this place again.

Great food. Though it was a bit noisy, the food definitely made up for it. The assorted seafood dumplings were amazing, with a gorgeous preparation of crab meat, prawns and fish. The Char Chicken Bao turned out to be a good mix of Asian flavours stuffed between a mildly sweet bun. However, the standout was definitely the Hong Kong clay pot rice which was part of the China Town celebrations at Fatty Bao where a special menu containing the specialities of China Town's from around the world have been added for a limited time.
Summarising, it was a fine Asian dining experience, with courteous staff and mouth watering preparations, definitely recommended if you're around Bandra/Khar on the lookout for satiating Asian cuisine!
A delight to Asian food lovers especially if you love bao then this place is heaven. I was here after shopping around linking road and craving for some bao, my favourite one was spicy fried fish bao.
we also tried some of their other best-sellers like the Sticky Crab Chilli fried rice and Seafood Jungle curry. the ambience is really amazing situated in a corner near linking road this is a place you would easily miss noticing if you pass by from here. I could not as the regulars know this place very well and it is packed so if you are planning to visit make sure you get a reservation for the evening.

The service is quick and the staff is courteous and attentive. We ordered some of their Mocktails Peach Fizzler & Cran Cooler. Peach Fizzler is a good refreshing drink.
In Starters we ordered Wild Mushroom Dumplings & Chargrilled Firecracker Chicken Bao. Dumplings were filled with veggies and dips went of well with it while Bao were soft and loaded with chicken.
In Main Course Malaysian Kapitan Chicken Curry with Chilly Basil Chicken is one of the best combination I have ever had.

Chili Basil Chicken Fried Rice:This goes with the Kapitan Curry and both are a good combination. The chicken was soft and perfectly cooked, as what I was told.
Exotic Vegetable in Chilly Sauce: This Curry is the best for vegetarians. The Paneer in this was amazing. If was one of the best paneer pieces I've had. The vegetables were perfect and plentiful.
Vegetables and Garlic Noodles: This base goes with the Exotic Veg Curry. A combination of both makes your day!
Risky Whiskey:2 of my friends ordered the same, Risky Whiskey. If was concerned and huge. The cocktail was a very tall class of whiskey with other drinks.
Cran Cooler: A cranberry centric mocktail which was huge and had a sweet and sourish taste. Amazing drink!
For desserts we ordered:
Avocado White Chocolate Cremeux(Eggless): 2 of these we ordered since it was eggless. Best one for vegetarians.
Fatty Hill: A chocolate hill in depiction, this is a very Chocolaty dessert.
Choco Caramel: The Best dessert, of the day, as per them but since it had egg I didn't have it. This had Chocolate and Caramel so perfectly blended, my friends wanted a bite of it till the end. Do try this.

The tempura sushi, mushroom dumplings, cottage cheese bao and avocado cheese sushi all tasted amazing. Cocktails could have been better since they were expensive. The mushroom and chicken Ramen weren't very authentic since I have had better ones. Overall it was good, would go again and order more of their appetizers.

Great Ambiance good food however the AC was not good. When asked The staff replied it’s because the window is open. For a place that charges premium customer experience should be their first priority. Fix the cooling.
Took the set menu which is four course menu. Really liked the mushroom and char grilled corn soup. The Japanese cheesecake was really yum. Sushi was nice but I've had much better sushi at other joints. Main couse was noodles and chicken and it was decent.
Japanese cheesecake and the soup were winner for me!

A cute little place with peppy ambience and some scrumptious food. We ordered the Firecracker Cottage Cheese Bao and Sushi along with some choices of ramen namely Tantamen, Chasu and Veg via Malaysia. The bao was delicious with refreshing flavors. The sushi was fine and the ramen especially Tantamen was so satisfying, spicy and delicious. The service was excellent and the menu offers good variety. It was a delightful experience. Would definitely pay more and more visits to this place for their top notch ramen.

Had a great experience at The Fatty Bao, we ordered:
1) Avocado and Cream Cheese sushi
2) California Roll
3) Chasu Ramen
4) Tantammen Ramen
5) Japanese Cheesecake
The food was amazing.
It is a wonderful place! Although there is a laid-back vibe, the staff is nevertheless really amiable. You can tell that ensuring the satisfaction of their clients is their top priority because they are knowledgeable and capable. The food is rather delicious, including both traditional and modern Italian dishes, and it is well worth the pricing.

The quality, taste, quantity is very good as compared to the price.
We had the.... Tantanmen Ramen and Steam Boiled Fish with Asian Curry and Jasmine Rice.
At first we thought, it wouldn't be enough... But they serve a really good quantity.
Great ambience...... They also have a bar... And have a very wide range of cocktails and drinks.!!!!

I am not very big on Asian food but i decided to try it anyway and a friend recommended this place so, here we go. The ambience is very pleasant. very hospitable staff.
Started with drinks and a few appetizers.
The drinks were great and so were the appetizers.
Tried the char siu bao, the meat was seriously overcooked and very dry. A little disappointed because of that.
Also, when taking the last round of order, nobody asked around whether we wanted to order more. They need to work more of customers.
Overall this place is amazing but they could've done better in terms of food and customer satisfaction.

Late for the review tho but better late than never 😴..
It’s one of those places you know where the ambience is set in a lo- fi mode which is chill and exactly the way you want. You just wanna click some good pictures feed worthy, have a good time and come home feelin happy 😋.
The interior is has low lighting with hanging light lamps, a bar counter, tons of features artworks. Outside seating is also available but music isn’t there outside. Outside “Bao”, you have a place ‘Monkey bar’ which you can check out if you want.
The name “fatty bao” itself tells you that bao is their niche but their Asian, Japanese items are also top tier.
Info: Bao is basically similar to a hotdog
but it’s more in width in comparison to
its length and has variety of stuffing
inside as big seen in that of a hotdog
having just a single sausage inside
Food service is quick and the taste is quite delectable but the only issue was hygiene in the interiors. The tables weren’t cleared out properly and a few flies were seen here and there near our table, so maybe they could look into that and improve the customer experience 😙.
We ordered:
- Mushroom and bell pepper bao
- Chili basil chicken fried rice
- Japanese cheesecake( 🔝✨tier tbh)

I have been to this place twice and we have had a good experience here both times! This time we ordered two dishes -
1) smoked chicken and asparagus gyoza - These were delicious with ample filling and I loved each bite.
2) Grilled seafood ramen - This is a must have at fatty bao. The broth was amazing and there was perfectly grilled fish, fish cakes, calamari and prawns inside it.
Absolutely loved it and hats off to the chef for nailing this dish!
