Old school but very well known for its non-veg meal varieties. Its a pocket-friendly and ideal place for all after-party guys to satisfy their cravings after booze.
Pretty old restaurant located in Colaba which is quiet famous for it’s non-veg food. If you end up getting to that place post 9pm you might have to wait for 40-50 odd minutes for your table. Talking about the table if you’re alone or accompanied by a friend of yours you might have to share your table with a stranger, which at times can be a bit akward. Talking about the food, food served here is the best. We tried chicken bhuna masala, chicken boty fry and chicken bhuna masala with a tandoori roti. Everything we ordered was amazing. It is pretty cheap and affordable for every other person. A best place for a quick dinner at affordable prices.
Usually a crowded place, but serves awesome food so that makes up for the sitting arrangements. That huge tandoori in middle of biryani left me drooling. Amazing!
Believed to be a competitor to bademiyan, this crowd puller is good to go when one is low on budget and in a mood of good mughlai food in a place like SOBO. The ambience is very ordinary but the food is surprisingly extraordinary.
Try visiting this place before 8 p.m. as some dishes won't be available later (especially mutton dishes) though it's known for late night binging.
In frame - Chicken bhuna with tandoori roti and boti chicken.
1) Chicken bhuna with tandoori roti - (4/5) This is the showstopper at this place. The gravy is red in colour and thick with tender pieces of chicken cooked well. The chicken pieces had absorbed the gravy really well which makes this dish a must try. The tandoori roti is king size. It is quite fulfilling for one person😊👍🏻
2) Chicken boti - (3.5/5) this is boneless chicken fry served with green mint chutney. Nothing that special.
Overall rating -4/5
For all food lovers (ready to ignore the ambience of a place) a good experience to binge on at month end, total value for money, amazing taste and would hopefully visit again 👍🏻✨
If you are a real foodie you will never b disappointed visiting this place. Don’t expect a great ambience here but the food you get here is just super awesome. You can try any non veg cuisine here chicken biryani, banglorian chicken, kabab, any chicken gravy with roti and you won’t be disappointed. At affordable rates you get great food here. Must visit.
While shopping at Colaba causeway, randomly searched for the places nearly and decided to give this place a try. So happy to have chosen this place. Had butter chicken with naan. It was sooooo delicious. Such great food at better price. Can't wait to eat here again after lockdown.
if taj hotel is a goliath baghdadi is the david which is situated right behind it in a small lane serves afghani food which is delicious in every way quality and quantity.
The ambience is nice cozy giving u the parsi restaurant feels with the menu nailed on the wall written on a blackboard.
staff is courteous overall its a nice place to have a lovely dinner
i rememeber ordering biryani which was more than enough to fill three hungry people
highly recommend it cheers
Bagdadi is a very old, simple no frills restaurant located in Colaba. Every person who visits here does it only for food. Do not expect any special service or anything fancy. I am a regular visitor of this place for many years now. I have listed some of my favorite dishes I have tried here.

Chicken Fry is the ultimate appetizer to have here. It is crisp and the taste is one of the best with the masala sprinkled over it. This is a must have dish to start your meal here. Each appetizer also comes with one potato sprinkled with the same masala. For mains, the most delicious gravy based dish is their Chicken Masala to be consumed with their giant sized Tandoori Roti. The gravy is delicious, oily and absolute perfect blend of masalas. The Tandoori roti can be shared by two light eaters or can be consumed by 1 heavy eater. If you have already had these bestsellers, they also have daily specials and my favorites are Chicken Do Pyaza on Mondays and Chicken Patiyala on Thursdays.
This Restaurant has a huge customer base. The food here is absolutely the best and very unique.

One of the best dishe ive tried at baghdadi. We often order bhuna chicken with tandoori naan . This is the best combination u can ever have plus it is pocket friendly and has a great quantity. Do try it once .
I have visited here once, chicken Crispy (non Chinese) is good and it's a must try.
If you're craving for some cheap non veg food near Colaba causeway then Bagdadi is the place for you. Bagdadi is not a fancy restaurant, It has simple decor, ordinary looking tables and benches but the food served here will blow your mind. The fare is not only tasty, it is light on the wallet as well. Bagdadi is almost 130 years old and was built by Bade Miya Sukkha, and was then taken over by its current owner Shafiq Ahmed who is been looking after this hotel since 1960. When coming to the ambience of this restaurant it is still has the old rustic vibe in this place but is often crowded so one can have there cheap thrills. The food quality is a bit slow but as per the pricing it is acceptable when there gravies still taste finger licking with the huge rotis they serve enough for a single person. However service could have been better and they could also take a little bit concern about the hygiene of the staff.
If you are looking for a Pocket-Friendly Non-Veg Restaurant near Colaba Causeway then Bagdadi is the place to go.👍
The Restaurant is pretty old. The ambience is also old & basic. The menu has a good variety of Chicken, Mutton, Beef & Fish.
We ordered Chicken Shami Kabab, Chicken Bhuna & Tandoor Rotis. The taste was good. If you are a health cautious person then you might not like this place as the dishes had excess oil.😐
The size of tandoor roti is pretty big & I bet you can't finish more than 2 tandoor rotis.😅
Lastly, we ordered Caramel Custard which was super delicious. Considering the price, the serving quantity was pretty good. The service was decent too.✌️
In Frame -
Chicken Shami Kabab - 40 Rs. per piece
Chicken Bhuna - 150 Rs.
Tandoor Roti - 20 Rs. Per piece
Caramel Custard - 50 Rs.

Overall a good place to experience authentic Mughlai Cuisines at reasonable rates.✌️👍
Value for money. Baghdadi is a simple restaurant with amazing food. Don't go if you looking for ambience. But do go if you are looking for good North West Frontier meal. :-)
This is an extremely cute lil place with amazingly quick services and the food is extremely delicious.
Definitely visit ❤️❤️
Alright alright!
So I'm finally writing a review for a restaurant I've been visiting since I was a kid. Infact, my dad's been visiting this since he was a kid!!
This definitely is a must-feature in the legendary restaurants of Mumbai’s list.
Food : 5
Service : 5
Ambience : 2 (But honestly, if you would judge a place only by it's ambience, then please head to Taj which is a couple hundred metres away from Bagdadi :p)
Value for money : 10/5 ( yeah, you got that right. 10/5 indeed)
Dishes to try :
1. The chicken fry served with sweet potato is a staple dish we order.
2. Any chicken gravy dish in the main course.
Special mention to the chicken bhuna and the chicken kadai.
3. Tandoori roti :
PS. They are huge (That's what she said)
Jokes apart, the tandoori rotis over here are huge and one should suffice a person with an average appetite.
4. Chicken biryani
5. Caramel custard : made to perfection.
Verdict : This is definitely a must try for all the hardcore non vegetarians out there. Please give it a skip if you are a pure vegetarian, it wouldn't be worth the efforts.
Also, this place is frequently visited by foreigners.
It's fun to watch them struggle with the spicy food 😂.
Sadistic, but fun.
Bagdadi restaurant is one of the oldest restaurant in Mumbai. If you are in Mumbai you should definitely try out this place. This not so fancy restaurant serves tasty food at pocket friendly price.
Must try! ❤️
.

In video:
🔸 Chicken chilli gravy
🔸 Chicken fry
Their quality and quantity is up to the mark.. The size of the roti is just bigger!
I love this place 😍
This restaurant is a real treat for non-vegetarians!!! The bhagdadi Chicken (boti-chicken) with bhagdadi roti is a must try! Chicken Fry for starters is a real good one!
I have been many times to bagdadi with my freinds and family and have chicken gravy like butter Chicken Chicken kadi Chicken Bhuna with the Tandori Roti which is just awsome. The Roti is the best part about the restaurant which just complete the meal.
Have heard so much about this place in the lane of another famous Nonveg place in Colaba! Simply loved the sumptous dinner
Food: name any non veg authentic dish it's here in the ranges of beef, chicken and mutton. Biriyani to Kebab fry and any gravy items are to die for. Must try the Tandoori Rotis.
Ambience and Staff: it's very small and cramped and be sure to share your seat with other crowds! Staff is helpful in suggesting good menus. An old irani cafe feel is throughout.
Price: might seem a bit pricey but it's a complete worth. They only take cash!
P.s be ready to wait around 40min during wknds
This is a popular place to have authentic chicken curries in colaba at reasonable price. The place is a bit crowded but the food is tasty. We had -
Chicken crispy 4/5
Chicken Kadhai 4/5
Chicken bhuna 4/5
Tandoori roti
Their butter naan is awesome you must try it.
And we had chicken bhuna and their special menu chicken do pyaza ..so delicious it was worth. I totally loved everything in ate here. Trust me you'll not regret. #Colaba #chickenlovers

Food was very tasty, one of the best chicken I had. Flavours were very good you would get authentic taste over here. This restaurant is truly value for money.
Bagdadi is a place located in very famous area in Mumbai which is Colaba. This place is located in the area where there are many big as well as small restaurants. I wanted to visit this place from very long time so I finally decided to visit this place many of my friend told me to give this place a try so I visited this place on Sunday for my lunch this place is just behind Taj Hotel Mumbai if you are a tourist and looking for so delicious food in cheaper rates near Gateway you must definitely give this place a try. There are many famous food at this place like chicken tandoori, mutton and many more I visited this place with one of my friend for my lunch when I visited this place the place was almost full somehow we have to share our table with someone else the place is always full as the food they provide is just amazing the taste of the food is good food quality is good the only thing I did not liked about this place is the place is less hygiene all the staffs are good at their service they are fast but the only problem with the service was the stewards ware not polite when they take order they were not at all helpful to us coming to the food we had.
WHAT WE HAD
1) Mutton Kadai
We ordered this because one of my friend suggested us this dish and this dish is awarded buy trip advisor and many other so we ordered this the taste was amazing the mutton was nicely cooked the gravy was also perfect.
2) Tandoori Roti
This tandoori roti was big in size I have never eaten such a bug tandoori roti before it was soft and freshly made.
Overall food is good must visit if you are looking for food in cheaper rates.
PRECE
1) Mutton Kadai = Rs140/-
2) Tandoori Roti = Rs20/-
Price is not high value for money place I would love to visit again.
Pocket friendly restaurant of colaba
Great place. Inexpensive. Seating area is big but still too much crowded. But they managed very well.
amazing food! kebabs are melt-in-mouth, always try the dish of the day, also bhuna mutton is my usual, the only place I visit every month.
"Your diet is bank accounts,......... Good food choices are good investment"….... Exploring Colaba.......Awesome Mughlai food....... A typical daba type joint in the heart of Colaba and backyard of the legendary Taj hotel...... The ambiance is pretty much ok but the food is really good..... I tried their chicken fry 4/5 and mutton fry 4/5 which was really good... This place is very crowded especially in evening Times.
I don't have travel destinations in my bucket list , i have restaurants in it Baghdadi was the one with which i started the list . So how was it ?
Tbh i absolutely loved it
Their speciality is fried chicken and trust me you can't find a chicken which is juicer than this anywhere else
Coming to the main course we ordered
Chicken kadha masala and chicken bhuna i personally liked it , like 3 out of 5 stuff
But the main highlights of the meal were
The tandoori roti and custard
i absolutely drool over breads and this was heaven for me on a new year's eve , a perfect balance of soft and crispy bread
So the best thing according to me was custard , it exactly looks like one which shinchan used to have its like soft vanilla milk jelly highly recommended for people who don't like extra sweet deserts
Saturday it was and lucky was I 😝
That u see in the picture is yummness (superlatively superlative)
Kashmiri Chicken (Saturday Special)
Chicken Fry Masala - 4/5 COMPARED to Kashmiri.
And custard...you wont even know ur having it!!
The 1st bite would take all the your thakaavat out the door!!

Good place had a NYC time
Do not go by the shabby appearance of the place. The food is absolutely delicious. Located behind the Taj this very old establishment serves excellent mughlai cuisine. The place is often crowded at peak hours and you might have to wait for your turn. The various meat dishes are pretty muh authentic. Presentation and hygiene is bad, but most people ignore that for the taste. Also to mention the pricing is very much cheap. Many prefer this place over the famous Bademiya. Do take time off from your shopping and enjoy a wholesome meal at this place. You won't be disappointed.
The food is really good and plus it's at a much much reasonable rate, the staff and service is also good. Although the ambience is moderately good. But on the whole it's a must visit place for food lovers
The ambiance, feel and food.. everything’s soo good. I was just walking by Colaba and was just a bit hungry. I was confused between Bademiya and Bagdadi but because this place was had a menu outside I guess that got me in. Being my first time here I thought of trying Biryani. It took them about 5 mins to serve me and when it was on the table I found no raita. I asked the manager to give me some raita and he told we don’t serve raita here. Was a bit disappointed but as soon I had my first spoon, my mood was lit again. Hands down the best biryani in Colaba I’m sure.
Bagdadi is pocket friendly place for all mughlai food lovers. Hidden in the streets of Colaba, this place serves the best non-veg food.
It is our favourite place to go for years now. We have tried almost every dish on the menu, but our favourite still remains the butter chicken with tandoori roti.
It's a must go. From locals to foreigners this places wins everyone with their delicious and authentic, inexpensive food.
We really enjoy the food here.
Highly recommended.
We tried tandoori roti and Chicken Keema and it didn't disappoint us.
PS:They put a lot of butter ghee oil and run out of pav quickly.
After numerous visit to Bagdadi and loving thier awesome food, visited agian and finally writing a review. Had order Chicken Biryani the Fry one, Chicken Masala Fry, Tandoori Roti and Naan.
Started with Chicken Masala Fry cimes with big piece of chicken perfectly spiced, thier tandoori roti is one you will not find it anywhere.. a big roti hot from tandoor same was with Naan, found it very different from naans from other restuarant. Finished of with Chicken Biryani which comes with fried chicken.. was decilious. Ps. try thier signature Fried Chicken.
Low on Pocket | Great Place for Mughlai Food | Loved the Butter Roti
What I tried:
Chicken Boti Fry (Boneless) - 4.5/5
Mutton Bhuna (3/5)
Butter Roti (5/5)
I sooo miss this place. Use to go there regularly whenever I used to be in Colaba. I am not surprised that it is still rated 4 stars. The fried chicken here is to die for. KFC is nothing in front of their fried chicken. Bheja fry awesome. Roti, biryani everything on the menu that I have tried has been lovely. Must try. Do visit.
This place is very Authentic and well known place located in Colaba. It's near from C.S.T. Railway Station. I came here today with my brother. I like to eat Butter Chicken and Tandoori Roti here, and Custard too. Its Crowded and Pocket Friendly Restaurant. Try this place!!..
It was a Special day today, with Bagdadi. It is located in Colaba near Gateway. It is near from C.S.M.T. Railway Station. It is crowded Restaurant. This place is very old. The Special dish of here is Mutton Korma and Butter Chicken. Check out this place, its very Interesting Place.

An age old restaurant which serves finger licking Mughlai food without burning a hole in your pocket. Bagdadi is located exactly behind the Taj hotel, Mumbai right opposite to Gokul bar and restaurant. They have a very old and archaic interior and as the name suggests it's an iranian restaurant. We ordered their famous gigantic rotis along with Chicken Khada Masala (Curry). Both were equally good. The curry was a bit oily but I choose to ignore that because it was delicious. We also ordered Caramel Custard at the end of the meal which was a cherry on the cake and boy oh boy! the taste was mesmerizing. So next time if you are anywhere near Gateway and even slightly hungry you know where you should head to
We found Fried chicken with tandoor roti & gravy.. Amazing.. Shammi kebab, Caramel custard was also great.. No card is aceepted here.. You will find ATM nearby..
An place to visit if you have not experienced the Irani rotis , veg and non veg masala, especially the local feel of placement with cutlery's which we miss the most in dinning area
To be honest, don't judge the place by it's interiors. It might look very simple and might not have such a big brand name to it as bade miya next to it but trust me the food here is amazingly tasty.
We had chicken shami kababs followed by chicken boti masala with tandoori naans for main course and of course keeping the best for the last , caramel custard for desert ❤️.
Place: Baghdadi
Location: Colaba, Behind Taj. Next to Bade Miya
Ambiance: Don't expect, it's traditional
Food: Very good
This is one place I have been eating since my college days and still the cheapest & delicious food you will get in South Mumbai. Baghdadi is famous for its huge Rotis which is more than double the size of normal rotis and costs you just Rs. 20 only. Don't expect great ambiance as they have maintained the old style.
They are famous for Rotis, Butter Chicken, Chicken Fry. They still serve chicken fry with whole grilled potato, tradition which they have maintained for years.
We ordered the following :
Butter Rotis
Chicken Leg Fry
Mutton Bhuna
Caramel Custard
Butter Roti
It's huge. More than double the size of normal rotis.
Chicken Leg Fry
It's not a traditional Chicken tandoori. Chicken leg friend in a crispy covering and tender chicken inside. You should try this and must have at Baghdadi. They serve with whole potato grilled with same covering. It's better to have and taste.
Mutton Bhuna
Bhuna is a popular and exotic Indian recipe. In this dish, the curry is so thick that it coats all the pieces of mutton. The mutton is cooked in its own juices till it gets a beautiful dark brown color. It is a time-consuming dish but the taste of this dish makes all the effort worthwhile. It is a bit spicy due to mutton been cooked for a while with spices for a longer time.

Bagdadi is one of the oldest restaurants in Colaba i.e 125 years ( 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙮 )
And I’ve been wanting to visit this place since a long time and now i FINALLY have something to talk about when people ask me ‘ have you had the iconic chicken dishes at Bagdadi?
And today, i can proudly say YES 😂
So, we ordered for this huge Tandoori roti and Butter Chicken, this roti is double the size of my palm 🤐 and trust me, its really really cheap.
The butter chicken was not really upto the mark felt a little bland! But, but, but, you shouldn’t miss onto their other chicken dishes. They are worth it!
Location📍- Colaba
Budget💰- ₹180
Impressively pocket friendly place when compared with the quality and taste of food they serve. Bhuna Chicken and kebabs here are really good.
Highly recommended place for all the non veg lovers. During rush there can be some waiting time but the food compensates for it...Service is quick, menu is limited , taste is wonderful and prices are pocket friendly. Definitely a place worth checking. Do order the fried chicken, special chicken curry and Shami kebabs..
pocket friendly, may not appeal to ambience lovetr but trust me the food is yummy
must try- button chkn , button naan/roti
can go for - biryani (rice may not appeal everyone, but will get proper masala with 3 massive pieces)
should avoid - chinese and kebab(fried- very oily)
conclusion - must try once
A nice and awesome example of old is gold. Feel the vintage style restaurant to enjoy your precious time. The best vintage restaurant in Colaba. The food is awesome and the tandoori roti of this restaurant is famous. My recommendations for this restaurant are Chicken khada Masala, Butter Chicken, Dal ghosht, mutton fry, tandoori roti and chicken schezwan fried rice.
It is located exactly behind the Taj hotel in the Bylanes of Colaba 5 min from gateway of india
The place dont have any great ambience but the food is best u can get in that budget in that area

What a meal.. Great taste.. Quick service. Renowned for the fullflavored fingerlicking nonveg dishes with a pocktfriendly menu.
Keep ur stomach empty before you go to this place because you will just crave to order maximum dishes from the limited menu they have. Caramel custurd is good after a satisfying meal.
The ambience isn't very fascinating but..I would recommend to visit at least once just for the food they serve. Cheers!! 👍
One of the Oldest and Most Popular Restaurants in Mumbai known for Mughlai and North Indian Cuisine at prices so low that you will definitely end up more than you are capable of.
I come here almost every time whenever I am nearby.
It is always crowded and sometimes you will have to wait outside till the tables are vacated. The place is nothing fancy, the only reason you come here is for their delicious food.
Coming to the food, I have tried almost every Chicken gravy dish, Chicken Biryani, Mutton Pulao and Caramel Custard.
The best among the Chicken Gravy dishes would be Chicken Khada Masala. This one is the most flavorful dish and if you are going to have only one, you should go with this one. Butter Chicken is also tasty but nothing to boast about.
I have also tried Chicken Bhuna which is also ok-ish.
For those who like it Spicy can order Chicken Chilly(lacks flavor).
Tandoori Roti is one of the highlights of this place as these are so huge, even someone with large appetite can feel full after just eating one.
The Caramel Custard is very smooth, sweetness is also perfectly balanced. A perfect desert to finish your meal with.
Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Colaba or Gateway of India. You won't regret.

Awsome ambience very courteous staff amazing food must visit food is really very delicious and never disappointed us till today one if the best place to visit in south mumbai
Pocket friendly place for non veg lovers.Chapatis are big , so order only one at a time. Chicken fry was very tasty. Friendly staff decent ambience. Recently renovated interiors. Not a place for fine dine much like a small street side legendary restaurant for having some really tasty chicken. Custard and Firni are must try.
Pocket friendly place for non veg lovers. Although I found the chicken dishes to be good but I was not that satisfied with the mutton handi I ordered. Big chapatis so order only one at a time. Chicken fry was very tasty. Friendly staff decent ambience. Recently renovated interiors. Not a place for fine dine much like a small street side legendary restaurant for having some really tasty chicken. Custard and Firni are must try.
I've been here multiple times and I just can't get enough. Mutton nihari is to kill for, go for korma if nihari is out of stock.
Chicken biryani, chicken boti fry, & beef items are commendable too.
The custard/pudding is a must try.
There's also an adorable kitty that greets you at the entrance. So +++ for all cat lovers
This is the best place for having lunch and dinner.
Very low/cheap price n the best quality of food, you will get here.
Even though the place was high in standard I can't imagine that this hotel's price is very low.
The staff are very sweet n nice.
Don't go to the Taj hotel come here n taste every food. ❤️❤️
This lane is filled with street food on either side which adds to the excitement to the place. If you come during peak lunch or dinner times you will have to wait for around 25 mins to get a seat. But don't let that demotivate you to check this place out. We had ordered the beef fried rice and fried chicken. The fried chicken was great. I absolutely loved it. Crispy on the out and juicy inside. Could have licked the bones but I usually defer those actions only at home. The beef fried rice was good too. The beef chunks were big which is not what you get else where. They were cooked perfectly. The egg was salty which did not ruin the experience. They have a few more icon dishes that I plan to order during my next visit.
A simple place to sit down and taste some of the most delicious dishes. Nothing fancy just great food and service with a smile. The prices would transport you to the old world charm. Out of all the dishes it's always been the caramel custard which has me going back to this restaurant again and again. The best caramel custard I have tasted in Mumbai. Must visit if you want to have some great Non Vegetarian food and definitely don't miss their Caramel Custard
I had the pleasure of dining at Bagdadi Restaurant, and I must say it's a haven for authentic Mughlai cuisine. The chicken fry was a delightful experience, with each bite revealing juicy and tender flavors. The mutton karhai was a true masterpiece, brimming with rich spices and succulent meat. To end the meal on a sweet note, the caramel custard was a perfect choice, offering a creamy and delectable finish to a remarkable culinary journey. Bagdadi Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving the true taste of Mughlai cuisine.
Bagdadi Restaurant in Mumbai is a culinary gem with its delightful Chicken Fry and flavorful Kheema.
The old-world charm of the restaurant adds to the experience, making it a must-visit for those seeking authentic and delicious dishes in a nostalgic setting.

Located in the bylanes of Sobo. This place screams of old Bombay vibes right from the way the sitting arrangement is to the menu board and even the service.
Its absolutely amazing.
We went in for a quick dessert break and landed up having some amazing caramel custard.
Discover an affordable haven for non-vegetarian enthusiasts where the tandoor roti boasts a generous size and delightful softness—consider ordering just one per person. Our culinary journey included the delectable Chicken Biryani, flavorful Butter Chicken, and a delightful Caramel Custard. The staff is warm and the ambiance is decent, featuring tables with a spacious six-person capacity on each table, potentially encouraging communal dining for smaller groups. Portions are ample, ensuring a satisfying experience without unnecessary waste.
While the vegetarian choices are limited, this spot offers paid parking and is accessible via a few manageable stairs (unfortunately not wheelchair-friendly).
Ensure not to miss the must-try dishes like
Chicken Biryani, Signature Caramel Custard, Chicken Kadai, Chicken Khada Masala, Chicken Tandoori, Firni
Whether you're a solo diner or in a group, this place provides a pocket-friendly feast with a friendly atmosphere.
This restaurant is located just a lane behind the The Tajmahal Hotel Colaba. Have been visiting this restaurant for more than a decade and there is no changes in the taste in their food served. Love their chicken fry served with a fried boiled potato is enough to have it with their khameeri soft rotis and doesn't require any other side dish.
Ultimate tasty food at a very affordable price . It is worth visiting for non-vegetarians, but vegetarians do have some items in there.
The restaurant is very crowded and seating is usually limited. Service is average. The food is above average but nothing special. FYI for foreigners, the chicken was very spicy.
When you enter this place you get the vibes of 80s and 90s restuarant and they have still kept it as it is to have that oldies feeling. The food is absolutely stunning and its wonderful and you can try all types of mutton and chicken. This restaurant is always full and you might have to wait a bit for your seat. So whenever you go towards gateway you can try to have your meal here i bet you will not get disappointed for sure
Must visit place for everyone
We tried Nalli Nihari, it was so delicious and filling! Must try when visiting here. They mentioned that they have chai/chass such beverages on the menu. But when ordered they did not have it. Maybe just one day they did not have !
What else to expect when you stuff yourselves and still the bill is under Rs 500.
Loved the conplimentary chicken stock soup, it was yum.
Like usual tried chicken masala and dabba gosht (sunday special) with tandoori roti and ended with caramel pudding.
been wanting to visit this place for a while just to try this pudding, and I must say I was not at all disappoint 😋 from the pudding to the staff present there , everyone was just so sweet and respectful . It did kickoff that vintage Mumbai vibe which I absolutely loved loved . I would definitely like to visit bagdadi again . Wonderful restaurant with great management and staff !!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Bagdadi Restaurant, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience at pocket-friendly price.
The menu at Bagdadi offers a diverse selection of dishes, and it was refreshing to see a blend of traditional and contemporary flavors. The culinary team at Bagdadi truly excels in delivering authentic and mouthwatering Mughlai cuisine. Every dish I ordered was packed with rich, aromatic flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy.
One particular standout was the Chicken Kadai. The chicken was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned, making it a true delight to savor. Also, the Roti served here is incredibly good.
As far as desserts are concerned, Firni & Caramel Custard were extremely delicious and I was drooling all over it till it lasted.
The ambiance of the restaurant is worth mentioning as well. The interior decor creates a nostalgic atmosphere.
While my experience at Bagdadi Restaurant was undoubtedly wonderful, there were a couple of minor hiccups that prevent me from giving it a full five-star rating. There's a room for improvement qs far as their service is concerned but nonetheless, these issues were minimal compared to the overall excellence of the establishment.
I highly recommend paying a visit to Bagdadi and indulging in their delightful culinary offerings whenever you are in Mumbai!
