This outlet is loacted in mahakali .Where rather then fish ,mutton and chicken is also served. I have been here for the first time it's serves the authentic seafood(MalvaniCuisine)
We orderd several things
Bombil fry- crispy and soft from inside
Prawns crispy fried- prawns were bit smaller in size bt taste was favourable and chutney served with it made more tastier
Prawns ambhat tikhat -It was prefect blend spicy and sour
Bhakri - soft and chewable
Solkadi - I like the most...Mandatory oneš
The staff is polite and humble and the food was really Yummy ,Worth for money and good proportion of food i would recommend this outlet for seafood lover especially šš
Noticed one thing that they keep fresh fishes only on weekends and not on weekdays .Noneother, their quality and quantity is good
Amazing experience at Gajalee at their Mahakali outlet. I have been known this restaurant since I was a kid and the taste still remains the same. Anybody asks about best seafood in town, I would always recommend this. Great seating area and helpful staff. Everything was clean and tidy. So, definitely try this as it will not disappoint you.
We had...
1. Fish Thali
2. Chicken Thali
3. Glass of Solkadi
been there with family. went there just to have sea food, hence we havent tried any thing more. we tried their Ravas Thali and Pomfret Thali, while my 20 months old daughter opted for a Lobster. Pmfret thali was little average. Ravas thali was great. Lobster was excellent, my baby enjoyed it a lot, we opted for continental type cooking for the lobster.

Gajalee.
A place that I have many fond memories of. This is the place I have visited the most in my childhood to binge into some yummy seafood, specially the thali.
An absolute must for Non Vegeterian and sea food lovers. The flavours are so authentic and to the restaurant.
The fist soup is a good option. Huge variety in starters and main course.
Fresh fish, crabs and lobsters available.
The price range can go way out of your pocket. Per person min 1k if you are on tight budget.

This was my second visit to Gajalee and it is surely becoming the go to place for all things sea. This time around we had bombil fry which was so amazing we ordered for another one. We had chicken masala with neer dosa and the most amazing caramel custard to end with. The service here is very nice and kind, the staff is always attentive towards the guests.
Gajalee is nice restaurant to have sea food. They also serve nice chicken and mutton dishes. The staff is very nice to talk and friendly. The ambiance is very nice. Good place to go with family. I will recommend this place very much.
Delicious seafood, lot of variety available. Fish is very fresh. Tandoor have really very good choice best ever. Located on prime location. Restaurant have good ambience. Finally a restaurant with a traditional soul and proud of it. Though the restaurant has the usual regular Indian, Chinese & Tandoor dishes, which is well maintained, they score full marks for their core competency which is Traditional Malvani and other Coastal Cuisine. Awesome food, service and ambience to match.resturant will become the `soul of Coastal Cuisine` as they aim to.

Mutton Masala 10/10š

Great Restaurant Overallā¤ļø
The one stop shop for seafood, but expect a bill no less than 1000 for two. The prawns biryani is amazing, and so is the sol kadhi. They sometimes display live prawns and lobsters to the guests to display their freshness, but that can terrify vegetarians.
If youāre looking for best malvani food you must visit here..loved each and every dish I ordered here..best place, I highly recommend every malvani food lover to go here
Great place for authentic sea food. The food is the best part with good service and decent ambience.
The Solkadai is not to be missed and it builds up the tastes for the main course.
This visit I had the Fish Thali and Prawns in Butter Garlic sauce. The prawn dish was super tasty with richness of garlic. The Thali is quite filling and the main dish in the Thali is the dish curry that goes great with steamed rice.
Yummy sea food destination.can be crowded due to being a popular place. They have thalis as well as huge variety of ala carte.Try their prawns biryani for sure
Very nice seafood and maharashtrian food. Specially their fish curry and fish fingers etc. good portion of food .quality of food is really good even the Ambience is lovely
This place is a must visit for Sea food lovers.
They show you the fresh produce of the day to choose from. The fish is fresh and delicious.
What to eat :
š Promfret rawa fry : it is cooked to
Perfection and with the chutney it was absolutely delicious.
š¦ Tiger prawns tandoori : its a single huge prawn cooked with tandoori masala.
It is yummy and satisfying
š¦ crab in garlic butter sauce : it is a crowd pleaser but not spicy.
From the food, to the ambience, to the service it was all worth it. Although I wish they served Thali at night instead on serving only in the afternoon. The staff here are extremely friendly. Deepak asked us to try the Ghavne with red snapper curry and I cant tell you how delicious it was. Iām definitely visit ling Gajalee again
Every thing ordered at this place is good.. Be it a fish tiffin or chicken tiffin.. Although it's a bit expensive but it's definitely value for money..
Very close to home made style food.. Simple and easy on the stomach. Prawn green masala.. Bombil fry... Is one of my favorite along with the normal chicken curry.... Overall. This place is better than the one at vile parle.
Excellent food quality and great service, Gopal our server took us to visit the kitchen and the oil they use... it absolutely clean and refreshing to visit a restaurant that serves clean and tasty food.
Dishes one needs to definitely try are : the Bombil Fry, Surmai (KingFish) Curry with white rice and Stuff pomfret with chutney.
Caramel custard is well set, so go for it.
Good food, ambient light, polite staff.
ā¢Squid Fry
ā¢Clam Masala
Were the highlights!
Gets pretty crowded in the evenings, so make sure you get a reservation just incase.
want to try maharashtrain style sea food? then gajalee is something one should try.
must try- bombil fry..they are super crispy and irresistible. one cant stop himself for repeating the dish.
dont forget to choose "wade" in chicken or mutton thali.
ā¬Location : E/3 ; Udyog sadan 2 ; MIDC ; Mahakali ; Mumbai .
ā¬One of most friendly environment and amazing Ambience to dine in with the close one. Good dĆ©cor, Hygiene maintained, Good service and good food assured.
ā¬Talkinā about the food, here are some delicious appetizers Iāve tried. Starting with
Fish Kebab which is delicate and has melt in kouth quality.
ā¬Prawns Kebab which is a new to me and has reaches my expectations about it. Delicious taste bagged with Smooth texture.
ā¬Chicken Banjara kebab, Highly authentic Indian taste.
ā¬Chicken seekh Kebab which has tinge of spicy effect and flavours that burst in mouth with every bite.
ā¬Crab Soup is a lighter and is good appetizer.
Aloo cheese roll is the adds as a balancers as itās very tasty and lesser spicy. Is biggie for kids.
š try.........itšāŗ

Gajalee....
An authentic paradise for sea food lover....

Sevice- 5
Thanks
Mind blowing food, Decent Ambience, Perfect menu, above average service .
Things to Try: Bombil Fry, Sukha Chicken , Chicken Curry , Butter Naan.
Highly Recommended
Amazing place. Good service and fab hospitality. Would personally suggest you to try the prawns fry and prawns biryani. Also not forgetting the bombil fry. Really Really tasty. Must visit.
Itās our family favourite for the last two decades.
Try everything on the menu at any of their branches.
Paya soup, Bombil fry, Stuffed bombil fry, Crab tandoori, Mutton Dum Biryani are a must try.
Excellent service and good food which could be better.
Considering it to be a seafood specialty, we didnāt find the fish to be fresh.
Other than that, friendly staff & nice ambience.
I have been here twice, good authentic malavani food with nice ambience and without fishy smell. However I found it little over priced. One can enjoy food here if ordered the regional non-veg food which is the USP of this restaurant. One star is less due to pricing and lethargic service over here.
The food here is really good. I prefer take away from this place. I wasn't happy with the service provided here. For being a family restaurant, they surprisingly don't have height cushions for kids to sit on. The food is served piping hot and we had the Aur ai fried along with masala squids which were at par.
I suggest going early on the weekend as the wait time to be seated is quite long.
Surely the best seafood had in Mumbai
Best experience of having seafood
Order prawns fish fry
Will definitely refer to people wanting to have good seafood
Good option for sea food lovers ,serves authentic konkan and maratha cuisine with wide varieties ,chicken options are also good
Grilled items are up to the mark and tasteful
Exceptionally tasty seafood. Their thalis are ultimate. The bhakris served are soft and my favorite starter is tandoori pomfret. The place is crowded during the weekends so make sure to book a table.
A good place to visit in mahakali serves bestest non vegetarian dishes . You must visit it if you love such cusine. The place is bit costly but worth visiting we ordered butter chicken and some butter rotis the quality was good also the biryani was perfectly cooked and was good in taste ā¤
This branch serves food which is as good as the original.
All the seafood is strongly recommended esp the bombil which they do brilliantly
Another recommendation is the chicken liver masala - I love it..and it goes well with all the other fishy things Iāve ordered usually!
Bajra and roti bakhris are very good as indeed is the Solkari
Gajalee
This place is in mahakali
It serves amazing North Indian , Chinese dishes .
People loves this place a lot because of amazing food .
Must try
Chicken Tikka
Chicken pahadi kebab
Chicken dum biryani
My experience with this place was amazing šÆ
Everytime i am in Mumbai i make it a point to visit Gajalee at least once. Usually it is the Ville Parle branch but this time my Hotel was closer to the one in Andheri East and this branch did justice to the brand as well.Ā
Our order :Ā
>Stuffed Bombil Fry
> Prawns Kolawadi
> Clams Masala
> Squid Fry
> Fish Curry & RiceĀ
Each dish tasted distinctively different. The stuffed bombil fry is a must try. Quite a unique dish, haven't tried anything like this before. Prawns were batter coated and deep fried. Not bad, but nothing too great either. The Clam Masala was really good because the masala was spicy and that is something i love. Fish curry and rice was great too, they used pomfret and the masala was mild , with a coconut base. Had the will to try so much more, unfortunately tummy space did not permit it. Will be back for more next time !
Love the food everytime I visit any of the restaurant chain of gajalee it never disappoints...love the freshness the quality of food...though the place is slightly off the way ...but I can go back any day for fresh seafood.
Best place for fish food
Not too expensive but menu is short and to the mark
One star less as no thali served in evening
Must visit for fish lovers
Gajalee has been my first choice for seafood since a decade. From waiters giving my vegetarian friends a scare by showing them huge live crabs on a plate, to getting my farewell lunch when I resigned from my job for the first time, this place holds memories in abundance. Some of the usuals at this place were the masala papad, bombil fry, stuffed bombil and prawns curry. The mutton dum biriyani served here used to be excellent as well.
This is a must visit for all seafood lovers.
Food: outstanding food!!
Everything is fresh and taste great!!
Service is fantastic! Courteous employees!
Ambience is also great!!
Overall no complaints at all!!
A wonderful place to visit to have fish. Awesome food. Love their butter garlic crab and prawns curry. Good menu. Reasonable prices. Amazing staff. Keep it up.
Much of the reputation this place has is well deserved. Taste is the draw. And a well-oiled service that quickly spots customers looking for something and ensuring fulfillment. The restaurant was handling a bustling crowd with impressive ease
But the thali was a letdown. To begin with it was sparsely populated. The fries were paper thin and delicious as was the curry. For 500 bucks wud expect a thali overflowing with food. The chap who took the order knew this and was trying to sell an extra dish. Which had to be ordered anyway.
Service impeccable but the thali is certainly not value for money. Ala carte makes more sense. And the ambience does not match the price you pay.
The food is the primary reason for the well-deserved reputation.
A lovely place for a family get together...
Had clams, Black pomfret, prawns with soft Bhakri. š¦šš” Delicious!
Courteous staff.. just felt at home!
Keep up the good food and service.
Cheers šø
The place isnāt very fancy. Its like a very normal eAt out place.
But the place for Indian fish foood.
The fish is very fresh and the staff knows the dishes
The most famous sea food place in MIDC.... famour for its maharashtrian sea food dishes.... try the prawns koliwada here... also the anbience is great for a fun loving dinner with family or ur loved ones....
A very well known restaurant, I had heard about the Vile parle east outlet and I have tried that outlet, thought of giving this outlet also a try as this is comparatively closer to where I reside. Sea food lover? Then this place is for you.The ambience of this outlet is way better than that of the one in Vile parle east. This outlet has more of a fine dine ambience, beautiful interiors. The staff was well trained and had proper knowledge about all the dishes. No problems faced regarding the quality and service.
Dishes tried:
1) Bombay Duck: Their specialty over here, deep fried bombay duck, tasted really delicious, I mostly don't prefer deep fried bombay duck, I prefer shallow fried with rava.
2) Chicken Reshmi Kebab: Wanted to try something different to see if they have good chicken options also. This is an appropriate appetizer that you could order. Perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Would recommend it.
3) Prawns: Nothing can stop my love for fried prawns. If I see prawns on the menu it's definitely coming on my plate. Being a huge prawns lover I found this good. Would recommend tasting the prawns from here.
4) Chicken Tikka masala: Now I know that this place is famous for their seafood, I tasted their starters and really liked it and I really enjoy chicken as my maincourse, so had to go with this dish. Tasted good I tried it with both rice and rotis. Tastes good with both I would prefer having it with rotis.
On the whole I had a fun time over here. There are some dishes that are overpriced a bit. It's not located in a very happening place for restaurants. This outlet has way better ambience than that of the Parle East one. I was happy with the service, the food and the ambience.
Ambience 4.5/5
Service 4.5/5
Food 4/5
Recommended 4.5/5
Must visit for all the non-vegetarians. Good service good food. Biryani was dam good. Prawns was okish. Caramel custard was amazing. Total cost 1200.
As usual, always brilliant!
Nice Manglorean sea food restaurant. Can be be compared with Mahesh lunch home Excellency and the likes..... but like the others try to push to order the expensive crabs.
This place will never let you down with seafood ...the prawns pickle is my absolute favourite....the baby shark masala is amazing too.If you are in Mumbai and you love seafood look no further!!!
The place is awesome. The staff is courteous. They keep living samples of some sea-creatures in display. There was even a 1-1.5 kg living crab on display. Food was really good. Highly recommended if u have good taste in seafood
Good place for sea food enthusiasts. Been to the vile parle outlet multiple times and it is quite popular too no doubts. Like the style in which they display the fresh catch of the dah for you to decide which fish you would want to try.
Pomfret fry is a delight ! Pics coming soon.
i am very happy that i did not get any plastic packaging. my biryani came in a clay pot and that just made my day. thank you Gajalee for awesome and eco conscious packaging.
Best place for seafood! Majority of the dishes are fresh and tasty. Lady fish is a must try. Very nice place to hangout with family and have an awesome lunch or dinner!
I had an amazing time at Gajalee.
Well, I visited this place at evening so couldn't get thali as they provide thali only in Lunch Hours.
So that made me to look upon entire menu in and out for my dinner choice.
Coming to food, it was delicious indeed.
Had prawns fry which was perfectly cooked and marinated with tasty chutney...yes even the sides was much better.
After that, we had chicken tikka, roti, vade, chicken masala and chicken dum Biryani with solkadhi!
Everything was tasty and perfectly cooked and was absolutely fine in taste.
I found biryani was much better in chicken items.
Seafood recommended.
If you want to order seafood, they show you fresh fish/crabs on request! Do check on your seafood. It's fun watching and checking out fresh fish or crabš
They could work upon the quantity as I found quantity is somewhat not upto mark as per rates. A little bit higher.
Talking about ambience, a pleasant one.
Soft music, nice decor! š
Will visit this place again for their authentic thali.
Definitely recommended for seafood.
The quality of food is very good. Chicken masala was yummy and tender. Chicken Pulao has a very nice South Indian taste. Keep it up
The place is famous for sea food but their vegetarian preparations are also amazing.
The food is authentic konkani and their soal kadi is a must have
I will rate the place as follow
Food-5/5
Ambience-3/5(nothing great to be expected)
Service-4/5
Value for money-4/5
Will prepared delicious fish dishes!
This place is one of the best place for seafood lovers. We had come with our office colleagues. sea food awsum and crispy bombil fry was best.
Amazing place to eat sea food in Andheri East . Prawns and fish are worth eating . do try out starters here . Polite staff, good ambience and delicious food !
Gajalee is a great place to have Maharashtrian Cuisine. This restaurant has a very beautiful ambiance. Staff behaviour is also very nice. They serve a variety of seafood including prawn, lobster, crabs, oyster and fishes. They also have a lot of vegetarian options. Food tastes great.
Overall it's a nice place to have fine dining with family and friends.
Gopal has been here for over 2 decades. His recommendations are bang on.
Shrimp and bombil fry with beer.
Crab curry rice unmatched anywhere in the city.
Chicken curry rice was great too
Pomfret tandoor the best
Definately it's famous restaurant but few points I observed are seafood is really costly compared to other outlets in Mumbai. Mumbai being the hub for raw fishes and India's biggest fish market they are charging the dishes like they are a 5-star restaurant.
Butter garlic prawns really disappointed me. Rest dishes like Bombil fry, prawns biryani and Surmai fry was good and tasty.
Plenty of space for vehicle parking.
The food is to die for!!
We had bombil fry, prawns fry, rice, bhakri and surmai curry by the side. The fish was fresh and so satisfying. Our Sunday meal couldn't have been better, it was all we needed..
Great Place. The restaurant's interior exudes a perfect blend of traditional and modern aesthetics. The dim lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, while the tasteful decor reflects the rich cultural heritage of coastal regions. Whether you're here for a romantic dinner or a family celebration, Gajalee provides a welcoming and comfortable setting.
As a kokani person myself, the food was amazing.
The fish was fried correctly. The curry was genuinely amazing and spot on traditional.
Worth travelling miles to taste their signature dishes - Bombil fry, Kombdi Vade, Tandoori Ravas, Tandoori Crab, Fried Capri and Caramel Custard. I have always been patronising their main branch at Vileparle East, whenever I visit Mumbai but this time tried this joint at Andheri East. It was a family function and we ordered almost all the items recommended by the staff. I was not disappointed though I still feel the main branch is better.
One of the most luxurious n famous hotels in MIDC Andheri east. Speciality in non vegetarian food .. fish, crab, chicken ,mutton etc. Staff is also good. Place is quite cool. Ample space for your vehicle parking is available in the compound.
Taste of food is awsome. U can select the fish u want n they make it as per your order like fry, gravy, curry.
We had kolambi kabab, crab masala. We also selected a Ravas fish for gravy. We ate Rice bhakri with the crab masala n Ravas gravy n combination was so tasty as bhakris were so soft . Rice was must with fish curry . N at the end when u packed up with all... must try Solkadhi as appetizer.
Good place to spend some quality time with our loved ones.
Gajalee, the heaven for sea food lovers!
If you are reading this, I would highly encourage you to try out at least one of their locations spread across Mumbai. They have an expansive sea food menu offering local Maharashtrian sea food delicacies and other delicious preparations from around the country. If you arenāt into sea food thereās limited chicken preparations and vegetarian offerings as well but, I wouldnāt really get into that here.
Iāve always ordered the Tandoori Pomfret and they have never disappointed me! Make sure you order this before anything else since, it takes a while as itās made fresh. How do I know that? Well, for starters they bring out the raw fish to you so that you can select which one you want to eat. Prices are set as per the size and weight. I really love this part of the dining experience here.
Also, I highly recommend you try their Surmai Koshimbir which is boneless fish made in green curry and their freshly prepared Solkadhi!
The staff here is highly attentive of your needs and is quick and efficient.
By the way,
This particular location has Valet parking so, that was an added benefit.
The food and service was awesome. Highly recommended if you want proper and best quality sea food with your family or friends. Feels little costly, but totally worth it.
