Authentic south Indian food, love the taste. I wish they start coconut rice and elaneer payassam as well sooon
This place is famous for south indian delicacy.
We can order food from there with safety measures taken.
The portion size is enough to fulfil our stomach. Dosa was crisp and medu wada was delicious too.
Tastes exactly like we used to have in restaurant.
Filter coffee was refreshing enough to make my day.
This is a well known and establish eatery.
It's famous for south Indian delicacy.
It's well patronised by customers.
It's quite popular for dine in and take away.
The service from their staff is very professional.
Definitely one must visit to taste south Indian food.
Their pricing is also very reasonable.
I will give them five star.
We are witnessing the disruption of the world economy as the Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 continues to spread across countries at a rapid rate. And Restaurant businesses around the nation take a hit as self-isolation becomes important. However, ordering for food online is becoming a preferred means of indulging in restaurant food.
One of the most well known south indian
snacks corner in the city, and my favourite too.
I have been eating here since very long time and still they have maintained good quality throughout the time.
Very much affordable and hygienic.
I just love placing the order every time.
Banana leaf is one of the best Vegetarian restaurants you will know.
The food is delicious, and it’s my all time favourite for south indian delicacies.
Must try their special thali to completely satisfy your tummy.
The restaurant has also made sure that there has been no compromise in the food taste or the portion size!
Also, the restaurant has been doing a great job during this pandemic, keeping in mind to take all the precautionary measures.
In view of the coronavirus, they are managing contactless delivery so well. The food they put on a clean surface outside your door, maybe a table.
The delivery executive will then click a photo of the food and send it to you.
You can open the door and pick up your food.
You guys are doing an excellent job.
Will definitely recommend my friends and family to order.
One of the best south-indian food i've ever had.
They were lip-smacking and even a beautiful treat to the eyes.
Their service was above my expectations, totally amazing.
They were super hygiene.
The delivery Man wore gloves and mask while delivering food.
What else is more important than hygiene now and they are totally up to mark on that.
When I decided to order food from banana leaf, I thoroughly checked about thier sanitization of food, packaging safety & I was so relieved after I saw it on page.
The food was delivered properly with packaging & was it delicious too.
We had the most fluffy and elegant idli, it melts in the mouth and the texture is so soft. The idli really kicks in and changes the whole texture and flavour and takes the dish to another level.
I recommend everyone if you want a safe & delicious treat, do order it.
I am happy to see that one of my favourite places for South Indian food has also stepped up to the challenging occasion.
The quality of food was anyway doing it’s best, where they also introduced several new safety and sanitation practices for their delivery staff, including daily temperature checks, wearing masks, and providing extra packaging to protect food.
P.S. Do not forget to order ghee masala dosa and medu vada
Banana leaf, the name itself suggests about how the food will be served and the the traditionality which comes along with it.
Simultaneously, I must admit that Banana leaf has took hygienic food delivery very seriously.
With delicious food, the packing is done such that the food is untouched till delivered.
I have always liked the food, now the delivery adds one more point in the ratings.
If anyone is looking for south indian cuisine one should must try food from here.
The food was really authentic and delicious.
The presentation of the food was up to the mark though we have ordered.
The presentation and the quality of the food helps food bloggers like us to maintain the standard of the food.
I would definitely order from this place again.
Taste exactly like we use to have in restaurant.
Dosa was crisp and nice we had ordered couple of more things everything turned out to be good above that the delivery guy had mask on.
It was really nice seeing that they took all precautions with extra cover packing for the food and the delivery person was wearing a mask so it surely made me feel safe.
Banana leaf is doing a great job amidst the Covid pandemic. The food as always is delicious. The highlight is the delivery hygiene. The food container is packed with additional packing such that the container is untouched till delivered to the customer. Great work.

Really classy sitting area
When you are in Mumbai and are looking for some perfect blend of south indian and modern indian cuisines, the very first name that will strike to my mind is of Banana Leaf. These restaurant chains have a couple of outlets spread across Mumbai with the same taste and feel for south indian food.
The most important identification of any south indian restaurant is their filter coffee and believe me they serve the best filter coffee in the city. It’s a place which will never disappoint you to fulfill your south indian cravings.
Some of my recommendations are filter coffee, palak medu vada, coorg idli, pav bhaji dosa and bissi bella bhath.
Banana Leaf🍃is located on Juhu Versova Link Road.
It's a Beautiful place. They are specialized in South Indian & Kerala Style Food like Dosaas Medu Wada Idli.

A casual dining place with a traditional South Indian touch☑️The banana trees🌴 around the restaurant and the inside ambience is just graceful since it has a wall with the balaji temple ❤️and frames of traditional people.

It is an all time dad's favourite spot. Being a gujju he is a south indian cuisine fanatic. The last time we were here, we had ordered a spring dosa, tomato onion uttapa, rava sada, mysore masala dosa, and rasam. Decent quality and quantity. Courteous and polite staff and prompt service.
Banana leaf is a South Indian restaurant which serves authentic south Indian food. This place is really famous for breakfast. The vada & dosas here are really tasty. I tried unique Coorg Idli which was very unique. Coorg Idli is speciality Idli of banana leaf, it has an amazing taste, it's soft & wrapped with this unique semi dry curry which has a taste like a blast of spices inside your mouth along with two types chutney's & sambhar served on real banana leaf being on it's name & maintaining the authenticity & legacy of South Indian food.🤤
The Mendu vada was also very yummy. It was fresh & warm served along with sambar & tomato & coconut chutney.
This place gives full South Indian vibes along with the music it plays is south Indian.
This is very nice place for breakfast.
For all those who are searching for best south Indian food in Mumbai. It's Crowded (almost full) on weekends, so I will suggest you to pre-book in advance. Quantity is good but price is bit on higher side. Plenty of menu choices and authentic south Indian food. Besides even the restaurant feels posh.
Food we ordered was-
Pudi onion uttapam (highly recommended)
Ordered Thali which came with a banana leaf inside along with papadam and fresh mango pickle.
Idli n vada.
Madhurai halwa worth dying for.
Should visit once for experiencing.
Simply the best south Indian food you can get in Mumbai, Banana leaf is sure to satisfy your taste buds and get you energetic at once. All the food that they serve have an unique taste and very much likeable. The rates are reasonable and very much suit the food that they offer. We tried the filter coffee (a south India special), Hyderabadi idli (gravy idli), ragi dosa (for all you health freaks), onion dosa and uttapams. Not to forget the sambhar and chutney, which is different class altogether.
Ambience- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Food- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Value for money: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Service: ⭐⭐⭐ (because it's very crowded, they cannot attend to all the guests all at once)
Perfect portion size for 2. Elderly parents can conveniently have their share without worrying about food wastage. Good ambience and excellent taste
The taste is spot on and so is the ambience. The staff is very polite but the portion size can be better.
Excellent jain food, extremely polite n helpfull, courteous staff, nice ambience.. all in all 5 star experience for an evening dinner with family

Hi friends!!!
Banana Leaf , 7 bunglows , andheri west , mumbai
Rating 4/5
The food , ambience , price everything was very good. As such there was nothing bad in it.
Only thing which i found was the peanuts which they used in rice were old , this was spoiling the taste of entire dish.
The thali was awesome , infact in 1 thali we 2 people could complete an entire meal.
The food was very spicy , which i believe the cuisine itself is spicy.
So a good , veg restaurant with decent costing ,
Go for it guys.

I love south Indian food and Banana Leaf is one the best places for south indian food lover. But the problem is you have so many different kinds of dosas n idlis here that you will be confused. So asked the waiter to make a suggestion.
Chettinad Dosa - Simply awesome and the red and white chattney it is served with is heavenly.
Mughlai Idli - it's sort of fusion idly. It was tasty but cant say its great.
Neer dosa with veggies is awesome. I love it.
The ambiance is pretty decent with typical south indian decor.
I want to try other types of dosas, idlis and uttapams!
Price - 800 ( very economical)
Banana Leaf is situated in Juhu Versova Link Road. It serves only south indian food and has a numerous number of different types of Idli, dosa and utthappas are available here. I really like their gun powder idli and mysore sada dosa. Their payassum is delicious. They even have a lot of healthy options with ragi as well. I even like their onion uthappa. A must to visit atleast once.

Very delicious and authentic South Indian food!! Worth visiting if you like south Indian food.
Staff is very polite and nice ambience too...
One of my favourite South Indian restaurants in Mumbai!
They have a wide selection of idlis, wadas and dosas. Their options with appams and parathas are also plenty to choose from.
The chef special paneer sukka dosa is really good.
The idlis prepared in coconut based gravies are my favourite thing here.
I would also recommend appam with Malabar curry!
Lovely ambience and great food! The service was really good as well. A must visit!l place for family and friends for good South Indian food. #entrepreneurexcel #tastyfood #southindian #delicious
Simple authentic food. For those who have had lip smacking coconut curries by the cost in the south this place will remind you of the same. Keep up the good taste and stay true to the south!
Local street food in a nice, small restaurant. I bet it's great so it's crowded during lunch time which means noise is louder than expected. The dessert is famous but difficult to "digest" for foreigners even we have that kind of leaves in Vietnam. Still a good choice for vegetarians.
Aaron's Final Rating is 4
I'd like to be honest here. My friends tricked me into visiting this restaurant. They said you also get nice nonveg food here in South Indian style and I believed it. After I realised it was pure veg, I wanted to throw a tantrum but then thought of giving it a shot. Trust me, I don't regret visiting this place.
This place is very huge and it was crowded like hell, that too on a Thursday night. The crowd here too was very classy. I enjoyed everything I tried here. Would love to visit this place again.
Must Trys :-
- Mushroom Biryani
- Rasam Wada
- Ragi Masala Dosa
- Payassum Sevai Hot
Must Avoid :-
- Banana Milkshake (Milkshakes are supposed to be thick. Not watery as juices)

South indian food at its best!!
A paradise for vegetarians with a monstrous selection of healthy and culture-rich south indian food.
I recommend getting a few different platters to share so that you can expereince the diverse mix of spices.
MUST VISIT!!
The food tasted awesome. The ambiance is also good with good service. I found it a bit expensive as compared to their quantity of food.
Had been to this place for a casual evening lunch. The place has a good ambience with indoor and outdoor seating options. At a very convenient location of Versova and ample of parking spaces as well. A very authentic and homely vibe with cultural structures inside and outside the restaurant to treat you to the South Indian aspect of the restaurant as well as the country. A must visit with family.
Authentic South Indian flavors that transport you straight to the region. Dishes are well-spiced, aromatic, and served with traditional flair. Don't miss the dosas and coconut chutney – they're a true delight!
Banana leaf is one of the best South Indian restaurants in Mumbai. Everything you order here is lip smacking good. We have tried almost the whole menu and believe me we were never disappointed by even a single item. Their Mango potato tamarind curry is the best of the best. Puliserry with mango and jaggery is a perfect combination of sour and sweet curry. Pulicha sadham is lovely combination of rice tamarind black gram and peanuts. Ghee podi mini idlis are a perfect snack any time of the day. Taste of their Rasam is unbeatable. The service was fast and superb and the servers were nice smiling and attentive. All in all a perfect place for South Indian vegetarian food.
Banana leaf is anytime trustable brand in authentic South Indian restaurants. Use easy pay to get some discount for the payment. Their rasam is their specialty and filter coffee is just normal. Also dal khichri is tastier like anything. Even they cook good North Indian food. But for South Indian best dosa, uttapam , rasam and other South Indian dishes you can trust them.
The food here is very nice and will be loved by all south indian food fans. You may hv to wait in weekends to get a table during lunch and dinner hours.
Banana Leaf is one of the most peaceful restaurants that I've ever been to! The restaurant represents South Indian culture very well! It is a pure veg restaurant! The manager here is very friendly and greets you whenever you go there! Overall a very nice experience!
Decent place. Malabar curry is my all time favorite. All South Indian dishes are really good. You can also try mini podi idlis for the starter. Chettinad curry (5/5) and Malabar curry (5/5) with Neer dosa (for traditional style) or paratha (tastes good). We also tried their Kalan Biryani which was made with mushrooms (3/5). The walls and ambiance is so pretty. Feels like a mini trip to Southern India.
I came from Thane specially to have Thali at banana leaf. Thali wasn't available though. I had Never dosa and paneer gassi. I'd say Thane outlet's food was better in taste. Versova outlet is good in space.
Onion podi dosa is an absolute stunner. Will go again just for that.
It’s a good family restaurant for authentic South Indian vibe and food.
Rasam Vada and pineapple sheera is a must try.
Banana Leaf has been one of our go-tos for delicious high quality South Indian food in the area. The Vegetable Stew with Appam is so wholesome and comforting. The Akhrot halwa is rich and indulgent. The filter coffee ice cream was very refreshing.
