Shalimar has always been good in cooking food especially the mughlai food.
This place is mostly famous for non veg dishes. Which is absolutely delicious. But after your meal you must try Falooda. Falooda is thick and tastes so good with ice cream.
If one is meeting someone at shalimar then it has to be planned perfectly becos shalimar is so huge that one can get lost.
Surely a food heaven one can relish on tandoori, tikkas, boneless butter chicken, shalimar chilly chicken, chicken charbaug, kadai godht, dal gosht.
Shalimar also has sizzlers.
Not authentic but with a shalimary touch.
Chicken hungama is good
Everything here is good but the mutton biryani is excellent.
The raan biryani and the kespa are jus lip smacking.
To end it all is the royal shalimar faluda which will sweep u off your feet.
What lets shalimar down is the service. The waiter staff along with the managers are rude.
I wud recommend a workshop on customer service to the staff at shalimar.
They also have chaat,pizzas and shawarma which can be ordered.
At shalimar food will win your heart.

Ordered chicken biryani.
Biryani was good with lots of chicken pieces. However, the quantity was a bit less.
Kachumbad/Raita was not provided with it.
It was sufficient though for one person for one time eating.

Ordered mutton dal gosh from here, the taste of it was good and the quality of the food was delicious. All over experience with them was good.
Visited this place many a time but due to lockdown on my friends birthday party we could not visit this mindblowing place so we ordered the delicious dishes at home with same taste and quality.
The dishes were nicely prepared and packed in clean hygenic container and deliverd at the door step with with nicely sanitize food with safe distancing.
Well we tried the chicken tikka biryani served along with raita and roast papad.
Similarly the paneer crispy and chicken tandoori were also superb to taste and the paneer butter masala along with butter naan were mouthwatering.
I would rate this place with 5☆ rating for the taste and hygenic.

The Raan Biryani was so delicious and had blend of some of the amazing spices and the quantity is too much for a person to eat😵You would definitely wanna go with your family/friends as it can be shared with 5-6 people and so filling😍Also the shammi kebabs were amazinggg😍😋

We had ordered a Tandoori chicken from this place . It was very juicy and delicious . Very balanced spices , marinated well and cooked nicely . A special mention for the chutney it was fresh and had very nice mont flavour . The packing was nice and the food was warm . Loved itThe paneer tikka and the paneer butter masala is a must try here.

We are very fond of certain dishes which are nostalgic and too good in taste, one of which is their famous special Falooda. I keep ordering the same, what made me to review it this time is exceptional customer service I was offered. Wrongly they had sent me a small falooda instead of regular one & when I reached out to the restaurant to inform them the same, Mr. Wahid asked me to send pictures and when I did, he sent me a Regular size falooda. We had finished the older order yet he asked me to take this as a compensation and apologised for the error, not only this he sent me little extra ice cream as I had requested it in my Falooda.
This was really courteous and kind of him and was a great experience to have as a regular customer! Thank you!

We tried Boneless Chicken Biryani, the taste of which left us wanting for more. The quantity they provide for the price is pretty decent. Ambience, really ethnic and friendly !

So finally am updating review on Shalimar since childhood i have been eating here one of the best mughlai food is available here authentic taste best ambience service is bit slow but best quality food so you are visiting mumbai cst must visit restaurant.
We had lunch here a few times while on the island visiting family and friends. The servers here are just wonderful and have great memories it seems. We sat on the ocean front patio and enjoyed the view with our delicious wine and lunch. Must try!

Just went to Shalimar at Mohammad Ali Road. Their ambiance is amazing, so well maintained. This vintage restaurant servers amazing Mughlai Food. From our experience, we really enjoyed the main course. The typical Mughlai swaad ohho. We loved their Paneer Tikka Masala and Kolhapuri Sabzi along with Rumali Roti (It's the best Rumali Roti we have ever had). In dessert we loveeddd the Rabdi. So well made. A must try!! They can improve on the starters (tastewise). Overall we had a great experience. Hope this review helps :)

It's iconic place to visit among the food eatery of Mumbai. We tried Paya Soup mild spicy and great taste, hot & sour soup was also great. Tried platter and each variety of tandoori was awesome. This is one of the best places in Mumbai for Mughlai food. It also has all the cuisines available. The food is delicious here and Paya soup, Raan biryani, Chicken Tikka biryani, Tandoori and Rose falooda are a must try. Seating is ample but there is always waiting on weekends.

We ordered Raan Biryani which is famous over there. Was expecting a whole leg of lamb that is placed on top of the fragrant rice, but turns out to be something different.
But still it's better.
i just absolutely love this place … their food is literally heavenly… i was longing to have their biryani and kebabs…. it is always pretty crowded too but we got a seat immediately…. there is huge seating area also although it may seem a bit compact…. i didnt find the falooda that great which is also apparently very wellknown… it is also an expensive place but worth the money

Shalimar is one of the best restuarant in Masjid, they have lot of varities and especially famous for non-vegetarian foods. This place always remain full and during Eid days there won't be any seats are available. They have seperate snacks, juice counters and upper portion arranged for small and large group. I tried their biriyani, mutton chops, kebabs, brain fry, falooda, shahi tukda etc. All the items were delicious.
