As a very senior ex colleague of mine (non Mumbaite - absolute foodie) whom I had taken to have the Vada Pav here had said "this is the end, there is nothing beyond this".
Food, much like art is a very personal choice subject as well as an ever evolving one and hence it is remotely possible to name one item as the best ever in it's own right/range.
I would nevertheless stick my neck out and say the Piping Hot Vada Pav with Chura and all the chutneys in it of this place is one of the finest food items I have had and find it unlikely for any in future to beat it as well. Dint even question whether this is the best vada pav - it absolutely is.
And mind you I have had almost all of the claimed best ones across Mumbai and Pune.
I have personally taken more than a couple of dozen people from outside Mumbai to this place, not a single soul was left from being mesmerised by this food item.
One of the best places in Mumbai to have crispy crunchy Vada Pav. This place is near Kirti College Dadar.
The Price Is Bit Expensive Rs.25 Per Vada Pav But It's Totally Worth The Price As Well As Hype. Along With Vada Pav They Also Give Chura Which Is Also Amazing. The Green Chutney & Mithi Chutney Are Also Very Tasty.
Y'all like vada pav?

The most famous place to enjoy vadapav. Also this place has most amazing vadapav. The taste and the quality is superior. All the chutney along with vada pav is just amazing. Also the churma with vadapav adds on the crisps and crunchy ness to the vadapav. Its is a very famous and old place serving delicious vada pav since last to decade a must visit place.
Every nook and corner of the city is dotted with vada pav stands. To be recognised amongst this lot is truly a talent. Aside the hype, it's hugely debatable whether it's the best vada pav in the city but Ashok Vada Pav aka Kirti Vada Pav is definitely worth a visit. It is extremely popular and has seen old timers vouching for this fact that since two decades, the taste has been consistent. The standards set by Ashok sir himself remain unmatched. The city's favourite snack was given a twist by incorporating the choora along with the chutney inside the pav. The place always draws a crowd, the cause likely being that this is a standalone shop which doesn't believe in deliveries. The city snack champion has garnered a huge fan base, lined with celebrities and bloggers alike. I'd love to visit the stall again and recommend you to try it yourself. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Best vada pav of all time
Iconic Vada Pav eatery. The incredible and authentic preparation, is the true original way to enjoy this delicacy which is the staple of Mumbai street food. The hygiene levels are good. Be warned that this is an extremely popular eatery and there's some waiting involved. Please note that this is a roadside eatery with no seating available. Must visit and eat here!
Best vadapav ever. Chura vadapav must try here.
An iconic place in Mumbai to go for a vada pav
I heard mumbeeous people talking about Ashok Vada Pav. I got a chance to visit here and discover the taste for myself.
Certainly the place has a very authentic taste to offer. Service could get slow during rush hours but keeping that aside it is a good one to give a try.
This is not just ordinary vada pav stall. It is famous and popular vada pav stall in Mumbai with swift and quick service, great taste, and quality.
There is no specific time where I would tell there won't be crowd or rush. Right from the opening hours till closing this stall is completely crowded. The major positive point is they cater rush in minutes. They really serve quickly and perfectly. Each serving has the same taste and proportion. You can customize your spice level as per your taste buds.
No seating arrangements and having vada pav standing is all together a different satisfaction.
Affordable price for Vada Pav and Chura Pav which is famous over here and highly recommended.
The serving is completely flavorful, soft batata vada with light seasonings, packed in soft bun loaded with different kind of chutneys making it balance in spicy and flavours.

Ashok Vada Pav, Opp Kirti College, Mumbai
'Vada Pav' is the synonym for Mumbai. Financial Capital of India Mumbai have one of the highest floating population in India. Apart from travelers and high profile business meetings, Mumbai is the house for numerous floating crowd which depend on instant & affordable food. Probably that crowd popularized Vada Pav which can be eaten in less than a minute and continue their work. Almost every road corner in Mumbai has one or two vada pav stalls and most of them are priced less than 15rs each.
With that many options I was confused on which stall serves the best Vada Pav in Mumbai! I traveled 4 days in Mumbai taking rickshaw and taxis, talked with many people across Mumbai about their choice of Vada Pav, this place 'Ashok Vada Pav' opp Kirti College, less than a km to famous Siddhiviniyaka Temple got more number of recommendation!
It's a small stall and they will keep on frying vada throughout the day. Priced at 30₹ (the costliest vada pav I have had in Mumbai!), this Vada Pav is the most sophisticated Vada Pav one can get in Mumbai, bulky, little sweet & spicy vada pav tastes slightly different than the usual vada pav what we get elsewhere. If you love regular Vada Pav then you may not like it as it is heavy & not too spicy. I personally loved it where as my friend didn't! Whatever the review is, if you are traveling to Mumbai please do visit this and try the Vada Pav which most of the mumbaikars recommend 😍 @ Ashok Vada Pav, Kirti College
No doubt about why it is listed under top 10 vada pavs of the city. Immensely popular among both locals and travelers. Crunchy and munchy at the same time. Will leave you demanding for more.
Served by the super fast Ashok Bhai, these crunchy vada pav are a must try if you're are in Dadar or visiting Siddhi Vinayak. The rush is such that his small kiosk will always be seen surrounded by hustling Mumbaikars. ⭐
The reason behind this is a delicious combination of Vada and Chura along with the available chutneys, as good as one can even imagine. This outlet never fails to impress and continues to be one of the bests in the city.🍔

Best Vada Pav in the city if you haven't test it yet please do give it try a cost bit higher as compared to others stalls as the quality of the product used in making Vada Pav is very hygenic
😍😍💖

Ashok Vada pav is small vadapav stall which is situated near Kirti College in Prabhadevi and offers one of the best vada pavs you can have in Mumbai. Their usp is they serve vada pav with crispy chura(crumbs) which gives crispy crunchy twist to vada pav and blends well with their sweet and spicy chutneys. One can also try their chura pav, however i found it very average in taste.
So if you are Mumbaikar and/or love vada pavs, I totally recommend you to try their vada pav for sure!!
Tip - If you like your vada pav or chura pav to be spicy, ask them to put extra teekha chutney and ask to put extra sweet chutney if you want it to be sweet!!
Vada pav was just amazing. My first experience with Keerti & totally blown away.
Vada pav is bae!!!
.
Ashok vada pav is considered boss of all vadapav's in Mumbai. It is a bit priecy considering other's rate but it's worth the money.
.
Please note that the stall is closed on Monday!
.
Do give it a try! You will surely enjoy the taste.
Ashok Vada Pav is undoubtedly the Best Vada Pav not only in Mumbai but in fact in the country (India)
As people say that it is no 1, they are 100% right. I am the third generation having this vadapav. My Grandfather started having this vadapav, My father regularly eats this vadapav and I myself have this vadapav. It's taste has remained the same since years, it's not changed a bit. Its chutneys and churras are a big highlight as it gets along good with vadapav and gives a great taste and forces you to come to this place again and again. They also serve churra pav which is worth trying and even the chutneys have good flavour which tastes the best
We waited for almost 25mins to get these two vada pavs which got finished in just 2mins but it's worth the wait for sure! What makes this vada pav so special is, it's chura that gives a delightful crunch and also the chutneys which adds nice tinge of spiciness to this super amazing vada pav! 😍❤️

@bhukkad_no.1 highly recommends this absolute smacker of a vada pav which is undoubtedly Mumbai's Best Vada Pav! 😍😋❤️
Ashok vada pav is the best of Mumbai, serving awesome chura vada pav, they are spicy, they add lots of chura in vada pav, which is very crispy. Loved it.
This easily has to be the best Vadapav eaten by me. The crispy chura, spicy chutneys and the tastiest vada on the softest of pav. The flavours were bang on and totally worth the travel from Navi Mumbai

It is one of the oldest outlet and has been a famous name for vada pao since then.
The chutney is simply amazing.
Definitely must try the Chura Pao apart from normal Vada Pao ❤
What can I say, except wow! I am from Mumbai and I had never eaten Vada Pav here until very recently. The best Vada Pav ever... So crispy. The chura that they add to the Vada Pav makes it extremely crunchy and oh so delicious. I am not a very big fan of their Chura Pav as it is only the crispy bits but full 5 for the Vada Pav.
If you plan to go here, be prepared to wait for your turn as it is usually extremely crowded even on weekdays.
Vada pav is the fav dish of every Mumbaikar and also the speciality of Mumbai...🤩
If u are a mumbaikar or the one to visit Mumbai...trying this vadapav is a must.. 👍

Oh god this place is just amazing no matter whenever you go here u will not get your vada pav before 5-10 because the rush for the best vada pav is just crazy, the chura pav and vada pav is just mind blowing
The best crispy vada paav u will get here to eat. And it's worth to travel and have this. Fast service and polite staff with great taste of vada paav. Cost was ₹25/- so it's pocket friendly. So must visit once ♥️🔥
A vada pav with different taste.i loved it
One of the best and oldest Vada Pav stall in Mumbai. Vada Pav with Chura or Chura pav has a different fan base. Taste-wise it is amongst the best in Mumbai. Full review article in below linkhttps://www.onehungrygaonkar.com/2019/12/do-you-know-vada-pav-was-part-evolution.html
One of the best vadapavs in Mumbai
They have maintained their Quality and taste...
Chura Paav is equally Tasty as vadapav...
Loved there chutney..... Completely worth the money... Highly recommend these place
Amazing vada pav
Must try:
Chura pav
Food:4/5
It is very safe to say that this place does offer one of the best vada pavs in Mumbai.
I have been having their vada pav for more than a decade now, and the taste has been maintained through the years, along with the quality. It is a sell out most of the times.
Apart from the college students, most of the people like me throng this place for fulfilling their cravings of vada pav.
The chura or rather the fried crumbs which are added to the vada pav as well separately sold as chura pav are a treat. The chutney just adds more flavour to the combination.
I recommend it strongly to all those who love vada pav and also to those who have not tried it yet.
It used to be priced really low, but keeping with the increasing popularity and brand value that these guys have created, the price has risen, but still very very affordable.
I really liked the crispy exterior of the fritter combined with the sweet and spicy chutney is just beyond words. The crowd surrounding the shop will make you realize that you are in the right place. No matter what day of the week Ashok vada pav treats it's customers with their world famous Desi burger🍔
USP of Ashok vada pav is they insert crispy fried vada batter and their green chutney
It’s the best vada pav I’ve had. Super tasty super crunchy. Love the street vibe. The hustling at the counter on the foot path. The cooks frying on the side. The help is working like there is no tomorrow. It’s just a fantastic experience.
One of the most famous places to have vada pav , located outside kirti college !
These vadapavs are a must try if you are a fan of vada pav ! A lot of office going people and college students visit this place , so the food items are always freshly prepared .
This place is close to the Siddhivanayak Temple, in one of the lanes that veer of the main road. It is quite easy to spot it as there are always people flocking to get their share of this famous Vada Pav.
A new batch was being prepared and people waited with anticipation, some ordering for it to be packed, while others to have it fresh on spot. The striking feature about this Vada Pav is the presence of the Chura or fried besan. It adds a complete new texture to the Vada Pav. From a previously sweet, sour, spicy mixture on one’s palate, one now adds the crunch of the Churas to that. Ingenious.
There is also a special Chura Pav consisting of only Chura filling inside the Pav.
One of the famous Vada Pav in Mumbai. This Vada Pav is also known as Chura Pav where it has Crispy Chura as well with the Vada inside pav.. The chutney is really amazing and it makes the vada pav more tasty.
I wish there should be more people so that people will get a faster service and I feel it bit over priced as it is of Rs. 25 per Vada Pav now in 2019.
In the frame - Chura vada pav.
Nestled in a tiny room in a narrow lane, in a chawl near Dadar station resides the family of Ashok Vaidya, who started the Vada Pav in Mumbai.
The Vada pav came into existence when a snack seller outside Dadar railway station decided to experiment. He came up with a combination of batata vada and split pav.
Soon it gained in popularity and others followed Vaidya. His father introduced the first stall of Vada pav near Dadar station in 1966. Soon vada pav stalls mushroomed all over Mumbai.
Ashok Vaidya passed away in July 1998. But his family, comprising wife Mangal, elder son Vinayak and younger son Narendra looks after the stall now.
His father was a hardcore Shiv Sainik. He decided to start his own business. This business gave us a decent living, education and respect. So, even after education and the passing away of their father, they decided to run the stall.

Nothing to say about Bombay Burger we get here it's simply awesome.
The crispy chunks in the pav is the heart. Love this place.
Cons: No proper management due to a stall environment and long wait after one vada pav
The very famous ashok vadav is near kirti college.
There vada pavs are very tasty and in demand.
Totally doing justice to the hype, people should really try it atlest once.
This place sells one of the best Vadapav's in Mumbai hands down! You can never be satisfied with just 1 Vadapav here, you need minimum 2. Just a small place and nothing fancy. They directly give you the vadapavs wrapped in paper and you just go and eat wherever you like. There's always a line over here and it will get longer with time so you better go in when you have some time with you coz you'll have to wait for sometime before you get your chance.
Ashok Vada Pav is definitely one of those spots in Mumbai that lives up to the hype! It's a tiny stall near Kirti college, but the vada pav they serve is huge on flavor. The crispy vada, soft pav, crispy Chura and their tangy spicy chutneys with green spicy fried chillies come together for a real taste explosion. It's super popular, so there's almost always a crowd and a long waiting queue, but that's just part of the fun.
Despite being a big name they are still operating street side setup and there is always a big queue for the vadapavs. Management and service desperately need a big upgrade.
The vibe here is as Mumbai as it gets, with everyone from students to office workers stopping by for their quick fix.
Ashok Vada Pav is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mumbai street food!
This place is super hyped but meets the expectations. Big Vada, big Pav, 3 varieties of chutney (green, sweet tamarind, red powder) and crispy Chura to top it off. The Vada itself is delicious and always served hot. Can’t get any better in my opinion.
This was one of the best vadapav I’ve eaten in Mumbai. Tamarind chutney hits different, crispy Chura in the vadapav is like cherry on a cake. We didn’t expect that we’ve to be in Que to have vada pav. But Que of 15/20 minutes was worth.
4.5/5.
It's remarkable how this place is an iconic venue in Mumbai, and yet it is so easy to miss. A small, unassuming stall outside a college. The crowd practically engulfs the whole place. The vada pav is ace! With lots of chura, and chutney. They tailor the heat levels based on your choice (low, med, high tikha). A must visit in Mumbai.
Nestled in the heart of the town, Ashok Vada Pav stands as an iconic haven for vada pav enthusiasts. Renowned for its unbeatable taste, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking the ultimate vada pav experience. The chur chur vada pav, a unique specialty, adds an extra layer of crunchiness to the soft and flavorful vada.
What sets Ashok Vada Pav apart is the perfect harmony of flavors achieved by their exceptional chutney. The blend of spices and tanginess complements the vada pav, creating a symphony of taste that leaves a lasting impression.
For a truly unforgettable experience, I highly recommend enjoying your vada pav while sitting on the beach. The combination of the delicious snack and the serene beach atmosphere creates a moment of pure bliss. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that captures the essence of the town's culinary culture.
In summary, Ashok Vada Pav is more than a food destination – it's a culinary journey that encapsulates the spirit of tradition and flavor. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this establishment guarantees a delightful and memorable taste adventure that you won't find anywhere else.
Decent vada pav. You get vada paav with lot of chutney which may not be of everyone's interest. I intentionally tried one as just a plain vada paav with no churaa and chutney and that also tasted fine.
Road work in progress around it hence not enough place for the car parking.
I had seen this place surfacing on Instagram a lot of times because of which I added this to my list of places to try when in Mumbai. This place is very famous in Mumbai. It is apparently one of the oldest vada pav centres and very close to the Siddhi Vinayak Temple. There was a queue for the vadapav. We tried their ‘sukha vadapav’ which was really good. The only uniqueness in this vadapav was that it was crispier because of the chura they give along with the vadapav, as compared to vadapavs that you get in other places. Would recommend to try this place at least once.
Priced @30, different and yummy.
People stand patiently in queue for 15 -20 minutes.
Eating at shop not allowed due to rules so
Take away but you can stand nearby and have it.
Next to kirti college and 2 minutes walk from dadar beach and 5 minutes walk from Sidhivinayak mandir.
Accepts Paytm etc.
We specially went there to taste the vadapav along with their very famous chutney.
I heard about this Ashok vadapav a lot on social media and therefore we were there on a Sunday morning to taste their vadapav.
It is a very small stall kinda shop, in Dadar.
There was a long queue for buying vadapav. They have keep is very systematic to avoid crowding at the stall. If you want to buy the vadapav, you need to stand in the queue for your turn to come. So, we stood in the queue.
Upon getting our vadapav, we sat in the car and had it, as crowding and standing near the stall was not allowed.
The quality and quantity both of the vadapav was delicious and up to the mark. It tasted really good along with the chutney and chura. Also, it was served hot and was crispy. (Chura is their speciality)
Overall, the experience of having vadapav there was just amazing. You should definitely try their vadapav atleast once.
(Tip: You can take their vadapav and walk 2 minutes straight to the Dadar beach and enjoy having the vadapav sitting by the beach).
