This legendary place has not changed much except that they don't let you eat inside the compound any more. Long queues only prove that people come again and again for this simple food. In this age of fancy food this place has not lost its charm and i am glad. We had mutton pasties, chicken roll, cheese sandwich and ginger lemon juice.
Had been to this place since my childhood.. But last experience left the bitter taste.. We had to wait for the long queue.
They don't allow more then one person to go inside the shop, even when you're together..
Must try - chicken burger, cheesecake, tiramisu pastry, wine biscuits, Bread pudding. Only drawback is that you cannot eat in their premise, they only serve takeaways.
The food was good but have had better puffs and rolls at some other bakeries. The bakery is situated inside a bungalow behind holy family hospital on St Andrews road. It has a very old Portuguese/Goan vibe.
I would rate the place 4 star relative to my experience at other bakeries in Bandra.
