One of the best places to have authentic bengali food. The most satisfying part is this place has a lot of options to choose from in their menu. I LOVED their Kakra Jhal (Crab Curry bengali style). Other dishes like Chital Muitha and Chicken Kosha were equally delicious. The staff is very courteous and cooperative. Biplab, one of the staff members, attended and helped me get my food with all proper instructions. Will surely recommend this place 👍🏻
If you are craving bengali food in Mumbai then this is the place to go....the authentic flavours will simply touch your soul. The staff here can speak in Bengali as well.
Must try these place to have a small tour to kolkata
Speechless... Perfect shorshe and dak Bangla preparation I had in Mumbai... Not too heavy on the pocket

One of the Best Outlets in Mumbai which provides Bengali Food. The Food is delicious and being Bengali I can gauge how they prepare the Bengali Cuisine properly and they do not fail in that but do a great job. Had gone for New Year's and had Ordered Fish Orley, Chicken Pulav and Turkey (Which was in the Special Menu). The Meal was great with optimum slices and oil. But the food items in this outlet are towards the higher side so not always a value of money. The restaurant does not have space and is very compact and is not comfortable for dine in in all honesty. Can do better job in this. Overall good food with respect to Bengali Cuisine but extremely poor infrastructure. Would recommend for delivery.
they have many variety of dishes available to order.i tried following:
fish fingers(must try for fish lovers)
phulkopir cutlet
basanti murgi :D(recommded)
spicy affair
a must visit place
Calcutta food in Mumbai. What a luxury. I am not into bengali food. But this place make your taste buds crave for their food.
Service was a bit slow, but then the food takes over all the flaws...
This is the best place serving authentic Bengali food. I visit regularly minimum twice in a month. They make everything with lots of love and affection. I don’t agree with average rating of 3.8. If you want to try Bengali cuisine, this is the place. Comparable and on certain items even better than over priced Oh Calcutta restaurant.
Great veg food as well. Begun bhaja. Cholor daal. Desserts
All i can say is one of the best bengali food in Mumbai.Their Bhapa Ilish is awesome. So is Malpoa. Will visit to try other dishes as well..
Bengali food outlet. And being a bong it is emotion for me. I have been there twice. The place is a small shack, with both a.c. and non a.c. arrangements. Both times i have settled for the a.c. one. The ambiance not a very stand out one worth mentioning. What we ordered?
1. Well bijoli grill and fish cutlets are synonymous. Almost all bongs know that it is a must have. A very thin crust makes it crunchy. Made with bhetki fillet and served with kasundi it reminds me of home each time. (5/5)
2. Basanti pulao (5/5): another must have of this place. It perfect sweetness and perfectly cooked rice. Love the flavour of saffron, each time i have it.
3. Chicken dakbunglow (3/5): personally i did not much like the taste. I felt it was more on the spicy side.
4. Mutton kosha (5/5): I love mutton and this delicacy is a must have here if you are a mutton fan like me. Do try the mutton dakbunglow too.
5. Aam panna (3/5): should have ordered it in the summer time perhaps. Otherwise they use syrup which does not give the original taste.
6. Gondhoraj ghol (2/5): no taste of gondhoraj. Its best if you skip it ofcourse.
7. Nalen gurer ice cream (3/5): its tasty but should be ordered in the season time. Or else, the gur does not taste much like gur.
8. Malpua and patisapta (4/5): loved these. Quite huge and delicious.
The quantity is sufficient enough and the price is reasonable for the taste. It does not pinch you at the pocket. The staff are courteous. The bengali songs played at the place gives it a wonderful flavour. Will visit again.
Gooood bengali homestyle food! Courteous staff. If you want to try bengali fish and all the bong food. you should definetely visit this place ! comfortable and nice
Hello...
I jst now went to ur place for lunch...we ordered sooo many things... cant even name them now..but we sure did pack half of it at the end..🤣🤣
Quantity, quality, taste is worth going to ur place..
5 for you 😊😊
Our go-to place for authentic Bengali food :)
Equally tasty are their veg & non veg options..
My fav are luchi alu dam, kasha mangsho, prawns curry...
Prefer the outdoor seating next to the pool during monsoon!
One of my favourite places to have bengali food. This time I tried kankra jhal and bhetki Paturi and others. Located at very convenient place in powai.
This restaurant is all about "Authentic Bengali Cuisine". Chicken Posto is a must try. The entire food range has a delicious taste with authentic essence... Kosha Mangsho is one my favs! Staffs are pretty decent.. Service is fast too...
From a small eatery behind Bijoli Cinema at Kolkata that started more than 70 years back, Bijoli Grill has come a long way today in being a formidable brand for Bengali cuisine. While in Kolkata & Delhi they have multiple outlets, in Mumbai, there's only 1 at Powai. And, if you love Bong food, it's a must visit!
The restaurant is humble in size & décor but the food is mind-blowing & after all that's what one is coming for. They remain true to the authentic style of Bengali cooking & very easy on the pockets too.
Here are my recommendations...
Daab Chingri ~ It's a speciality of this place & is a scrumptious prawns curry cooked & served in a green coconut.
Shorshe Katla ~ A Bengali's love for mustard is beyond par & this dish of Katla fish cooked in mustard gravy signifies just that.
Mishti Doi ~ You cannot come to a Bong restaurant & not indulge your sweet tooth. What better to do that than digging into the famous sweet curd?
Visited Bijoli Grill in Mumbai to get the taste of authentic Bengali cuisines since moving out of Kolkata. The iconic restaurant doesn’t disappoint and stays true to its name. Luchi along with Murgir Kosha was a perfect combination. Aam Porar Sorbot could have been better as the bite of raw mango went missing. Renovation was underway for a section, so couldn’t judge on that. Price seems to be a tad on the higher side though.
When you think of Bengali Food, go for Bijoli Grill. I am fan where since they started their Powai Restraunt. My all time fav dish is Mutton Kosha with Lachha Paratha, Also must try Chicken Biryani.
If you love Bengali food this place has to be on your list. Authentic Bengali experience, the also waiters talk In Bengali plus sometimes they put Bengali music 😊. The service is old school which means the waiters are super efficient, always there for your requirement. The food is great, must try their fish fry, dakai naan and Chinatown Chilly Chicken.
While the interiors are not great.. it more than makes up with the variety of servings and authentic taste.. Must try "daab chingri" n "fish orley".. the service is good as well..

The only truly Bengali food experience in Mumbai!
They have cooks from the interior districts of West Bengal who churn out simple as well as elaborate recipes equivalent to our grandma's!
Being a Bengali, I highly recommend this place if you're craving niramish or vegetarian fare (be it the shukto, dormas and dalnas, love 'em all).
I like their non vegetarian dishes too, especially the prawn and fish dishes and the mutton kosha but I think their specialty is Vegetarian.
Bengali’s take great pride in their Maachh-Bhaat (fish curry and rice), particularly hilsa. It’s very difficult to find a bengali who doesn’t like Hilsa or Ilish maach. The variety of Hilsa fish preparations that this place offers during the Hilsa fish festival in the monsoons is an unmatched experience in itself.
They also offer unlimited thali of their special dishes during 5 days of the Durga puja festival. Again, shouldn't be missed.
We keep going back to Bijoli Grill at least twice a month, and every experience is reminiscent of food experiences I've had in my native in Murshidabad, Bengal.
Ending this review with trivia...
Did you know that our greatest bard of all time Shri Rabindranath Tagore's first lines of poetry was on food? Coming from a distinctly cultured 'jorashonkho thakurbari' his first lines as a child was on good food. The Tagores were compulsive travelers and foodies, picking up recipes from far and wide, they eclectically authored recipe books aptly titled 'Thakur Barir Ranna'.
Great Bengali food
And the ambience at the restaurant is also good, my all time favorites of this place are Mutton Kobiraji, Chingi r malaikari, Bhekti r paturi, mutton biryani and fish fry. People wanting to try out Bengali Cuisine should try out this place.
One of the best Bong Food restaurant in Mumbai. The Bhetki Paturi is God level. If you like Bong Food, go visit this place with your gang and be ready for a huge delight. Ask for the Aam Panna sherbet, which will remind you of your childhood days
A proper bengali cuisine restaurant, having every bengali delicacy in the heart of Powai.
Felt very nice to be in somewhat bengal environment.
Highly pleased with the courteous behaviour of the hotel staff.
Taste was not bad, everybody of my group appreciated the food, but what i personally feel, there are scopes of improvements with the taste.Otherwise this place is worth a visit,if you want to try authentic bengali dishes.
Food is extremely asm by its taste as well as by its presentations. But one thing that i love the most is chiken duckbunglow is not available in this outlet of bijoli gril.. Rest things are just asm
Been here many times earlier as well. Love their service, friendly courteous and helpful staff, authentic bong food. Being a bengali away from kolkata, I'm always on search for small pockets of comfort food and nostalgic home style cooking of maa, thakurma and dida. You just can't get over the taste and memories of those family meals, titillating your soul to look out for similar cooking. And everytime I visit this place, in my mind they take me back to my childhood days and mom's rannaghar back home.
This time I visited with friend and family and surely had a great time over food.
Ordered Topshe fish fry in starters - recommended by the staff. Nicely done with batter, medium sized whole Topshe fish were deep fried and served with imli (tetul) chutney and kashundi (mustard sauce). 4 fishes in one plate.
In the mains, we ordered steamed rice with chachra (mixed veggies with Katla fish head) cooked home style and piping hot.
Next in line we ordered hilsa (ilish) bhapa and pabda fish jhol (curry) with bori and begun (brinjal). Inspite of non seasonality of hilsa availability, the ilish bhapa (steamed hilsa fish in mustard sauce) tasted divine.
The pabda fish were jumbo in size and the gravy quantity was enough for 3 servings per plate. Absolute satisfactory to eyes, heart and soul.
In the dessert, we ordered nolen Gur rosogolla payesh which is similar to ras malai. But the taste is very unique due to the size of rosogolla and of course nolen Gur combination. Finger licking and soulful taste.
All in all, a great place to spend time with friends and family over yummilicious bengali food.
Recommended for all bengali food lovers. Enjoy!
Craving for a sumptuous bong lunch/dinner? Missing home? Head to this place with your friends and family. Not a fine dine but the food compensates for it. I had been there multiple times and this place has never let me down.
The ambience at this place was above average. The fried fish was delish! Also the mutton curry and puri were amazing. But the fish curry was too salty and I wasn't used to eating river water fish. Before you order any fish dishes, ensure that you like that type of fish else you may not like the texture of it. I could hardly eat the fish curry, but the remaining dishes can be rated at 5 stars!
We are regulars at this place from day one of it's inception.
All the items in the menu are very well prepared ..
I must make a special mention of egg devil, mutton cutlet, prawn kobiraji, fish fry and roll in snacks.
Chitol muithya, Bhapa Hilsa, Mutton curry these stand out in the main courses.
They also prepare the Kolkata Biryani really well.
The food taste and quality coupled with well mannered efficient staff led by Milind and Manoj make this our first choice of restaurant to visit or to order from in Powai.
Taste of Kolkata: Authentic
Quality of food: Best in the market...I have had at least 500 meals there over the last seven eight years or so.
Variety: Diverse choices available of Kolkata food including Chinese.
Pricing: High but commensurate with the quality and level of food served.
Ideal for lunch or dinner outings with friends and families.
Visited this place many a times recently. Reminds of authentic Bengali food away from home. I liked the kaatla maacher kaalia and luchi aloo dum very much. The staff is courteous and friendly. Really nice service overall.
Best place to have authentic Bengali Dishes.. what all they serve is not precooked but they cook all fresh after order..
Loved this place for Food...
Yummy bong food!Loved aam panna,baingan bhaja(brinjal fry),murg poshto(chicken in poppy seeds gravy),laccha paratha,lucchis(puris),crispy bhetki(Asian sea bass)fish fry!And sweet Rasgollas to end a fun outing.
Few of the pocket friendly authentic bengali dishes. Must try dhakai naan, mutton kosha, bhetki aith mustard gravy and steamed rice. Oh you try everything new everytime you go there.
A heaven for Bengali people, but very costly. Recently we had a get-together and the menu consisting of variety. Among the starters the Veg chop was best and Chilly Chicken was okay. Luchi was outstanding with Chhanar dalna. Then murgir jhol was also good. In the dessert section Chatni, Rasogolla, Mishti Doi made the lunch complete. Awesome!
Best Bengali restaurant in Mumbai.i hv been in Mumbai since last 6months.tried bhojohori,oh Calcutta.but they were overhyped and they serve a hybrid tasted food.but bijoli grill served the pure taste of bengal in each item.they have a vast range of items.i ordered in starter dim er devil, butter fish fry.both were awesome.then I ordered radhaballavi, dhokar dalna Nd ghugni.radhaballavi was huge in size Nd tasted well.ghugni was okay.but dhoka was awesome.and each item quantity is adequate fr 2-3 persons
So we went to this place during Durga pujo and we had a hint that there will be waiting. We went at night and by God it was raining pathetically so we decided to directly have dinner and later do darshan.
We had a waiting of almost 45 mins min and maximum they said - don't ask.
Wow. We were waiting at the waiting area backside. There were chairs and tables normally placed. Looking at the crowd they arranged tables outside only for us. We were very much ok coz the climate was cool and sooting.
We thought to order from a la carte but they had set menu for pujo. So we had set menu only.
The menu had:
Aam pura shorbot - it was nice refreshing
Coldrinks - packaged one.
Starters -
Veg chop (vegetable tikkis) - typical chop and the taste was amazing. It had the groundnuts too like you get in Kolkata or bong weddings.
Paneer finger - fresh paneer coated and fried. It was good.
Chicken kobiraji (minced chicken patty coated with egg and fried) - it was little cold. Tasted ok.
Fish fry - bhekti fish fry. Wow. It took my heart away. Amazing fish tasted so far
Main course
Chollar daal (Bengal gram daal cooked without onion garlic and slight sweet) - gave skip
Dhokar daalna (Bengal gram dumplings cooking in spicy gravy) - tasted and it was nice
Hing aaloo or dum aloo - gave a skip
Chanchra (spinach or any other leafy vegetable mixed with veggies and fish head) - just tasted and its was amazing
Mutton kosha - it was little sweet but oh my my the taste was amazing. I loved it (have it with luchi/ Puri)
Pabda maach - pabda fish curry - it was soft and tasted just like you get it in bong households
Prawn Malai curry - it was so so perfect and amazing that I literally asked for repeat twice
Fish kalia - skipped but it looked amazing
Luchi - fluffy and tasty
Rice - perfectly cooked basmati rice
Basonti pulaao - tasted and enjoyed having it
Rosogulla - soft and pluffy
Pantua ( gulab jaam in long shape) - skipped but it looked good
Chutney (tomato and dates sweet chutney ) - perfect it was
Paan - skipped (coz no place and we avoid having paan but still we are bong)
So overall it was amazing experience too have bong food on navami night and enjoying rains outside.
Well no one paid me too right such a big review. Its just that I really loved the food out here.
Skipped few veg items coz we wanted to enjoy the non veg items. Everything was unlimited.
Food was so amazing that we forgot to take pics.
Place to go to eat good Bengali food. The Panna is a must have along with the cholar dal and luchi. The Bengali biryani with the famed potato that Nawab Wajid Ali Shah's 'jugaadu' chefs added is great. Another thing to try is their devilled eggs. All in all a good place to enjoy an evening out with family.
Landed here for lunch on a weekday with a bunch of meat lovers! All of us had some connection with Bengal at some point of our lives & reminiscing about Bong food brought us here.. and we weren't disappointed one bit!
We decided to lay off seafood for the visit(being soon after the Ganesh visarjan season) with much difficulty - the seafood options were very enticing!! We kickstarted our lunch with mutton chop & chicken kabiraji.. the chop was well seasoned & crispy, the kabiraji - a delight to eat as it melted in the mouth! Next course included mangsho kosha, murgir poshto, baigun bhaja, luchi & radhaballavi - each of the curries was finger-licking good! You can't go wrong with the classics - baigun bhaja, luchi - and thankfully they didn't! And of course we had to have the desserts, no matter how full we were - Misti doi & rasagulla - a perfect end to the sumptuous lunch! Their spicy mustard sauce deserves a special mention!
The staff was most courteous & friendly. Food service prompt.. they even obliged to our demands for extra chutney & procured rasagulla on short notice (when they saw how disappointed we were when told that they did not have rasagulla, initially). The place was cozy & clean. Found Bijoli pretty pocket friendly too - not sure why many people have called this place pricey in their reviews. We got a good deal, thanks to Eazydiner but even without the discount, we felt it was pretty paisa-vasool!
Can't wait to come back again & try their seafood spread! Overall would rate this place a 4.5/5 but unfortunately Zomato does not allow me to!
Having heard about this place plenty more times then i can remember. Finally on the appropriate timing and referral from my better half landed here seeking authentic Bengali food.
Having lived in Kolkata i developed the taste buds to appreciate true Bengali cuisine but haven't had that same experience for the past half a decade. Situated in hiranandani gardens, this small place has been referred by many people. Landed here tonight to quench my long standing thirst for authentic luchi, machar jhol and dhokari naan... Not to forget the awadhi style Kolkata biryani.
Booked a seat via easy dinner and walked right in, thankfully wasn't packed and got a seat in the open air section next to the arcade and pool. The place as soon as you step in smells of a true bong street... With the smell of freshly fried luchi to the aromatic biryani all around. Courteous staff received us well and took the order.. Which i nearly by hearted. To tell you how authentic this place is... The guy told me that chickem cha can be included in the meal my order sounds like the basis taste quenching desire :p but i stuck to mine knowing that jhol and naan should not be ideal as the dhokari naan would be slightly sweet with the soda presence.
They are fast.. Very fast at service, food is as bong as it can get, the staff is Bengali and if you would like just tell them to interact with your in their favorite lingo and they'll jump to dada dada right away.. Making it a much more sweeter experience.
Naan was smooth as hell.. Literally melting in the mouth, jhol was amazing...rarely do you find meat sliding off the bone ..by far the best cooked meat i have had in a while. Biryani... Was a tower.. Insane quantity with two full leg pieces and thighs accompanied by the omnipresent alu and frued egg..
A great place and a full paisa wasool.. 1 main course, 2 types of bread, 1 biryani and 1 rossogulla plate all under 800 plus the amazing service... This made my Sunday evening perfect.
Certainly visiting again soon..

A good place to visit, gossip and have good Bengali food.
Hakone entertainment center is also one good recreation center for children as well. Friends please visit this place and enjoy.
Reviewing after visiting "n" number of times. One of the best place to have authentic Bengali dishes in the city. It has both indoor and outdoor sitting areas.
You can get a wide variety of Bengali dishes. The quantities are decent but the prices are on the higher side which is the only drawback I find about this restaurant. I have tried many different dishes, specially different kind of fishes in my different visits. So, if you like bengali dishes and don't bother about budget, a must try place. In my recent visit we had golden fried prawns, bhetki jhal, murgi posto, muri ghonto and luchi.
Bijoli Grill in #powai is a small place but serves nice & authentic #Bengali food - had been here with a recommendation from a #Bong friend & was delighted to the core. Loved the food & is a must visit to get a closer taste of what Bengal has to offer from its cuisine!
Authentic #bengali food, good attendants and decent atmosphere.
I think food taste can be better, much better.... Somehow I felt they dropped in taste.
But this one still far better for #BONGAPETITE
Fingerlicking Bengali food, though I am from Karnataka relish Odiya/ Bengali cuisine, courtesy my wife(from Odisha). We frequent this place and just love the food here. However though being so famous they lack certain basic amenities, a proper wash basin with a soap and washroom.
Have been twice to this restaurant on different occasions, tried thali and a la carte both. They serve bengali delicacies like Chitol Muitha Dab Chingri, kosha mangsho Posto Bora. Staff is well behaved, little short on space Food tastes good and is on a little higher side on price factor. On my first visit ordered fish kabiraji , chicken cutlet, steamed rice and aloo fulghobi diye koi macher jhol. well cooked in pure bengali style home cooking.
On my second visit few months later. We hopped into same place ordering one mutton thali steamed rice and daab chingri malai curry. Thali quantity is enough for 2 people. consist of plain rice , mung saal, bhetki paturi, aloo posto. kosha mangsho(mutton) chutney papad and misti doi. For the first time tried daab chingri 2 medium sized prawn cooked with coconut milk and spices and served in daab. Presentation is awesome. daab chingri is little sweet in taste but very tasty.
If looking for Bengali food, do stop over and try. Sure to come back again and again !
If you are craving for real Bengali food, you should pay a visit to this restaurant and try the different dishes here. They have varieties of fish dishes which I thoroughly enjoyed. Fish curries go absolutely well with plain rice and mutton curries with Puri. Service is good and even the manager is quite helpful.
The place is clean and nice as well.
lau chingri and ilish paturi was extremely good
Had heard about this place long back but only got to try it this past weekend. Being peak monsoons decided to order in. Had ordered 3 items, fish in mustard paste, chicken gravy and dal with fish head. All of them felt like home cooked and the quantities was well worth the money. I am looking forward to try more on their menu but this can become my goto place for good Bengali food.
I am a bong and I crave for Bengali Briyani and chicken chap ! Wish to have this more in the future ! Amazing customer service and amazing food prepared !
Excellent food at excellent time awesome. The fish preparation was also very good. I was missing Bengali food in Mumbai and you have just done a great job. Thanks to your chef too from my mom and dad. He is a cancer patient and cannot eat Mumbai's food he was badly missing bengali food and fish preparation.
Thanks a lot really.
The restaurant serves authentic Bengali cuisine. Visited multiple times during my IIT Bombay days. The Bengali style biryani, hilsa preparations, topshe fry all are excellent
Loved the gravy.. Murgir Kaasha 👌. Lacha Parotta also was supeb. I enjoyed the gravy as it was extremely good, Bengali style. The curry with the Lacha Parotta was something.. I can still remember the taste. 👅😁. Would like to give 4.5/5.
We visited Bijoli Grill after reading good reviews about the place and its authentic Bengali cuisine. We had hardly ever had Bengali food and had no idea what was what on the menu. So, we asked one of the staff for help and he suggested us the perfect meal according to our preferences.
Even after the food was served, we had his attention throughout for whatever we wanted.
The food was good and the service was even better! A good experience.
We would definitely want to visit again for desserts.
After pestering a bong friend to treat me to some authentic bong cuisine for years together, finally we were here for lunch. So, it felt quite like a triumph & I was really very excited about trying some of the eastern delicacies. Having said that, given my aversion for high mustard content, we chose the safer options as it was my first time.
So, we started with Fish Orley & Fish Fry along with Aam Porar Sharbat. The Fish Orley was a batter fried fish with a very light spice marinade, more like fish pakoda. Fish fry, on the other hand was a nice big piece of fish which was evenly crumb coated & fried to perfection served with some onions. I liked both of them .The aam porar sharbat was quite different with a slight tangy taste. It was quite a good start to the meal.
For the mains we ordered kosha mangsho (mutton cooked with garam masala) with lucchi (poori) which was absolutely delectable. The mutton was perfectly cooked. It was extremely flavourful with the right amount of spice & its pairing with lucchi is an absolutely amazing combination. Post that, we had the daab chingri (Prawns with coconut) with steamed rice. The daab chingri was served in a tender coconut shell which was a delicately spiced prawn curry with coconut milk which was nice n tasted absolutely heavenly with piping hot rice. I can’t remember the last time I was so full & satisfied with the entire meal. We wanted to have some sweets but were extremely stuffed & couldn’t have any more.
To conclude, an absolutely amazing meal.
Special thanks to bappa dada made maa,s birthday great with the special surprise cake 🎂🎉 and the food was delicious 😋 & hospitality was awesome 👍 , pls once come & enjoy u will like the most .
Too good... in terms of Authentic Bengali Food. Very fresh fish. And the service is fast. Does have a family atmosphere.
Its amount of food justifies the cost. Almost pocket- friendly.
The location and space could have been better. Common washroom facility with the adjacent restaurants. Not hygienic.
In case you are living close to Powai, do order fish fry, fish finger, chingrir malaak a ri, and the very famous kolkata biryani
Good place to have a Bengali style lunch/dinner. The service is very slow and the waiting time is long. But the food is worth it. Both the quality and quantity are good.
We only went for hilsa/Ilish fish. The whole fish costs us 2000/-. The taste was good.
If you are looking for good Bengali cuisine in mumbai, you must visit this place. The price is on the higher side but you won't regret it after having the first bite. This time we only had hilsa and aloo posto for lunch but surely gonna visit again to try other dishes.
Service: 5/5 (staff was so polite and explained about the dish so well)
We went there to celebrate Jamai shoshthi 2022. Food menu was spread through authentic Bengali dishes. We ordered Fish fry, Chicken sweet corn soup and chicken Kabiraji in starter, with aampora sorbot. In main course, we took rice, Mugdal, Alubhaja, Tel potol, tel koi, Dab chingri, mutton dakbanglow and Ilish Bhapa. Dessert was a combination of Aamer chatni and Malpoa. All the dishes were prepared with genuine Bengali taste and all of them were delicious. But one problem we faced is their very slow pace of service, may be they have staff shortage. This slow service affected our eating a bit as we had to cancel some orders as they couldn't deliver it on time. Overall, food taste and quality was awesome. Price is reasonable if you want to eat genuine and homely delicious Bengali food sitting in Mumbai.
The classic bengali food and the rich bengali heritage is depicted through this wonderful restaurant which also happens to provide good catering services as well. Rich preparations on fish mutton and chicken .
Must visit
Excellent Bengali food in Mumbai. Good ambience, modest and professional staffs. Price is at the higher side but you wouldn't regret it. IIT Bombay students get flat 10% off.
The ambience is really comfortable. The quality of food especially fish items and conventional Bengali food items were delicious. It's better to try fish item choices and others here other than mutton dishes.
This is good bengali restaurant for authentic bengali cuisine lovers. They offer most of the signature bengali authentic dishes. And they tasted most of the times authentic..prices are also reasonable considering the surroundings. But the place is little small and ambience is just OK type.
But if you are in in that particular area you should go for lunch or dinner for bengali food.
Excellent Bengali. Good ambience, modest and professional staffs. The quality of food especially fish items and conventional Bengali food items were delicious. This is one of best restaurant for authentic Bengali cuisine
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bijoli Grill in Powai and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made me feel incredibly welcome.
Now, let's talk about the food. Bijoli Grill offers a wide range of delectable dishes that truly cater to every palate. Whether you're a fan of North Indian cuisine, specially Bengali delicacies, or even Chinese dishes, this place has it all. I was particularly impressed with their seafood selection, which was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection.
I ordered the authentic mutton biryani bengali style and it was truly a treat. The mutton was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of spices to enhance its natural taste. I also tried their Bhetki fish fry, which was aromatic and packed with flavors. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness.
The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend dishes or cater to any dietary preferences. They ensured that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
Lastly, I must mention the desserts. The Gulab Jamun and Rasgulla were absolute bliss. They were moist, sweet, and the perfect end to a fantastic meal.
Overall, my experience at Bijoli Grill in Powai was exceptional. I highly recommend giving Bijoli Grill a try. You won't be disappointed!
P.S. I couldn't not click pics, as I was busy having those delicious meals.
This is one of best restaurant for authentic Bengali cuisine. Here you can try bhedki fish fry, mutton kobiraji, etc. Chholar daal with luchi and Patishapti are must give a try.
Ambience was good, but I didn't like the food much. Like it was a bit expensive from other places (street food) but not from restaurants. If you want to try them then go for it. Momos from a nearest shop that was amazing, must try.
Bijoli Grill in Powai serves delectable authentic Bengali cuisine. The flavors are remarkable, but service was a tad slow. A must-visit for Bengali food enthusiasts!
Good food quality & Bengali Authentic atmosphere...
If you are craving for bengali food in Mumbai, you can definitely pick this place in Powai. The menu has quite a variety of Bengali food and it tastes as good as you would have had in Kolkata. The prices are moderate and the items are many. We had luchi, ghugni followed by fish finger and ofcourse Kolkata special biryani. So you can choose more and eat more without burning a hole in your pocket. The restaurant has an inner AC space and outer space to enjoy your food the way you prefer. The staff is polite, orders are served quite quick and best part its open till midnight.
