The Pomfret Gassi was outstanding. The service was overwhelming - not the snooty attitude of other seafood restaurants of the area. Friendly, warm and helpful.
This place is just amazing for seafood .we ordered the prawn starter which was really good and for Maine we ordered the chicken kadhai with roti which was made extremely well and the best part was it's solkadi do not miss it .service was also really very good .
One of the best Surmai fry I ever had. It was super fresh and super crispy and super tasty. Awesome taste with very affordable rates. A must visit for fish lovers.
Visited this place for a quick lunch. This place serves decent seafood and is well-known for the same. Service is quick. Serving staff is prompt to your requests. Bombil fry is a must try. Prawns are delicious too. Overall, a good place to be in for the love of seafood.
Veryy Nice place to catch up after a tiring shopping spree.. Drinks are reasonably priced so one can go for it... We ordered as follows which was yummyy with awesome taste even in rush hours.
Paneer Chilly Roast: 4/5
It is rust in color but taste iz similar to the usual Paneer Chilly. Taste was reallyy good and fingerlicking. 6 to 7 pieces in one portion.
Bombil Fry: 4/5
It was nice.. crispy and had a good texture. People should go for sea food at this place.
Veg Schezwan noodles: 5/5
Noodles were thin which can only be expected in a good restaurant because thick noodles and big veggies are seen at local chinese corners which is not at all good in taste. No added food color that's a plus.
Chicken Biryani Boneless: 4/5
Taste was nice and one should go for it if they are biryani lovers. A must try.
Sizzling Brownie: 10/10
It's just awesome and recommended for desserts after a yummy meal.
Overall a veryy nice place with good ambience and great taste!!🤘🏻🙂

Food taste/ quantity : 4/5
Price : 3/5. Zomatos menu pics r old ( it comes to 1000rs for 2 with out drinks). For 2 dishes and breads
Finally... i would go there again.

We have been visiting pratap ever since forever and we love the seafood here! Bombil fry, deep fried rawa coated rawas, tandoori masala crab, prawns and curry rice are always a hit! This place is a lunch home so do not expect a fancy ambiance! The price that u pay is worth the freshness of the fish. Very quick and prompt service as always!
Happy Eating!☺️
Pratap has been a regular dining joint from my college days. Known for great seafood it's exactly what we ordered, Squid chow chow - Prawn roast - Tandoori pomfret and crab gassi.
While the squid was underwhelming, pomfret was nice and of good size. The show stopper was the prawn roast, with a Chinese taste added to a South Indian prep. The vegetarian seekh and mix veg sukkha was a decent order as well. Coming to the main, the crab gassi was not as good as their gassi items used to be, but a good dish to be shared with the family.
We did go there on Onam lunch day, so it was crowded, maybe that's why the food was good but not great.
One of the best heaven for seafood lovers. Great place to visit with excellent service and ambience. Prawns chilly, surmai fish masala, chicken biryani. All dishes were cooked superbly.
pratap lunch home is kinda must visit place for all the non vegetarian lovers!
i would suggest,
chicken tikka
surmai gassi with plain rice
crab meat sukha
Visited prashant lunch home for the first time and the staff was very welcoming. Food was worth every penny. We visited through dineout GIRF deal but they also have offers for regular customers. Good ambience and tasty food with good portions.
Rating:

Overall rating- 4.5/5☺️
Had an early Sunday lunch at Pratap Lunch home. Ordered the Bombil fry which was cooked well. The fish was very fresh. Main course was the Prawn roast. One of the best prawn dishes you can have amongst all the coastal food restaurants in Mumbai. Not much in the ambience but the service was very good
Nice ambience all the typical decor of a fish market is good enough to give a boost to ur hunger pang. Food amazing. We ordered crab tandoor which was so juicy. And sea food biryani was very nice and full of flavor. Friendly hosts. I would have given 5/5 for the restaurant except one thing, management. There were few people who were drunk too much and making a big nuisance out of it and this being a family restaurant it is not very welcoming. Drinking resoponsibly is that persons own discission but the management should also look into it. Apart from that part it was very nice.
A fare from the Express Tower at Nariman Point to Flora Fountain, in Mumbai is not lucrative enough for the black & yellow cab so we walked that 15 minute distance soaking in the architectures and the heritage structures of Mumbai, peppered by intermittent showers and sauntered into the gulley that Google Maps had directed us into and stepped into the cosy and cool interiors of Pratap Lunch Home at Flora Fountain.
Tired, parched and hungry after that roughly 1 kilometre walk, we started with a bottle of chilled Tuborg while the ladies chose a sweet fresh lime water.
The Chicken Tikka that we started with, is a must try. Apart from the tender and succulent meat, the tikka masala it's prepared in is delicious and compliments the chilled beer.
The Squid Chilly Roast again is a must try. Not too spicy, the smell of the sea is subtle as you bite into the fresh meat but more than that, the masala it is cooked in is simply irresistible and we were tempted to save it aside to enjoy it with plain rice.
The Surmai (kingfish) Masala Fry and the spices it was prepared in were superb with the fresh meat coming clean of the bone, and went well with the Jowari Roti that Babu, a senior employee there approached us and recommended.
The Surmai Gassi (red curry made with ground coconut) was another delightful preparation which we ordered with plain white Basmati Rice.
We had intentionally shortlisted Pratap Lunch Home instead of other more costlier and popular restaurants because nothing like feasting on seafood while in Mumbai at a reasonable price.
The Butter Jowari/Bajri Rotis are a good alternative, I realised, instead of the regular ones and compliment seafood quite well.
The Crab Meat Sukha was a disappointment and had an overbearing flavour of various condiments it was cooked in thereby camouflaging the taste of crab meat.
Everything is priced here; including the peanuts served with the booze. That again is a disappointment.
The service is quick and efficient and the staff is courteous.
Parking space...? None; so try and find one in those cramped gullies of Flora Fountain or Fort.
I felt the price for dining at a "lunch home" a little steep but then I guess it's by Mumbai standards and the locality this restaurant has found its home.
Well this place been here for the 1st time
I tried their recommended prawns chilli which was good and prawns were good size
Their ravas Koliwada was OKk not so great
I tried their ravas in malvani gravy which was really good ..
I do recommend this place
This small restaurant and bar with good ambience, I went there for family dinner and was satisfied with their service and tasty food they have good variety for non veg dishes, everything is up to the mark the only thing is as it is situated in fort the place is little crowded congested.
Really delicious sea food
Had ordered -
1) King Prawns Chilly roast (recommend, it's delicious)
2) Fish pepper - Basa fish
3) King Prawns gassi and neer dosa (something different, really nice)
4) Pomfret Tawa fry - delicious
Not a place that's known for its Ambience, but it's food, specially sea food is incredibly amazing.
Hello everyone let me share with you the great experience I had at this lovely joint. Firstly the ambience is good, the service was prompt and the prices are affordable and the food is simply delicious. We were a big group and called all the best dishes on the menu and were very happy. The food was fresh and clean. We had a great experience here and plan to come again and again and would recommend all food lovers to try this place.
Must try for seafood lovers . . . Total value for money . . . Usually order home delivery . . . My fav - surmai gassi, king prawns chilly roast, surmai tawa fry . . . Crab soup is fantastic . . . Do try for seafood cuisine
One of the best sea food outlet in the city.
Lunch home is located near Kalaghoda.
The place has really good options in sea food varying from bombil, ravas, surmai in various forms.
Neer dosa served at the place is really good which is suggested by staff always.
Bombil fry, crabs are among the specialities of the place.
The place has got descent ambiance for family lunch.
Must visit once.
Tucked away in a sleepy lane in Fort the place is known for its manglorean sea food dishes , elegantly done and epitome of the Shetty service standard the place is frequented by office goers and tourists alike . Fresh catch and great taste is a combination that is quite unbeatable for Pratap
Pratap is my very old joint since 1973.
Now it’s been renovated and the ambience is good and the price is also affordable compared to their portions they serve. I visited last night with my family and enjoyed the Crispy Bombay Ducks, Crispy butter garlic squids and yummy Butter chicken packed for next day.
This is my first ever zomato review for any place.. Visited this place on a weekday after a gap of almost 8 years. I have to tell you guys that they have maintained their reputation very well. The place was not so crowded being a weekday and we got a place easily. Instead of going through the menu, we asked the waiter for his reccomendation.. He instantly replied "Lobster is fresh" and who says no to a lobster dish.. He got us a nicely cooked medium spicy lobster chilly roast with thick gravy.. We relished as if we were kept hungry for 10 days.. I really recommend this dish to all lobster lovers and for main course we ordered crab malvani with neer dosa which was mindblowing too.. And to end the day we ordered a prawns biryani which was ok. Being on a slightly costlier side this place is a little tough to find due to the metro construction.. It is exactly opp Siddharth college. But a must visit for all the seafood crazy ppl.
It's a very small & good outlet specially I go there to have chicken koliwada & neer
Dosa which is fabulous.
I really enjoy there.
Good staff good service..
It’s a small and simple place offering some fantastic food if you’re into coastal cuisine. The servers are good with their recommendations. Prompt service. We tried the following dishes:
Sol Kadi - Quite good. Tasted a bit different as I found it slightly towards the bitter side.
Bombil Fry - Perfectly done. 3 pieces. The melt in your mouth kind. Loved it.
King Prawns Chilly Roast - This was recommended to us by our server. Absolutely delicious.! The flavour was just spot on. Good quantity as well.
Neer Dosa - We had it with the above dish. Both paired up quite well with each other.
Kori Rotti - Means Chicken (Kori) Roti. Traditional Mangalorean dish. The gravy is red chilli based and the crisp rotti is made from boiled rice. Spicy and superb. Should not be missed.
The food is as authentic as it gets. They’ve got the basics right. Enjoyed a very satisfying meal overall. The pricing is very reasonable. It’s value for money at its best. A must must visit for seafood and coastal cuisine lovers.
I used to visit this place during my college days, bang opposite my college, authentic manglorean food with portions so huge would surprise you, dirt cheap but those were the good old days now it's renovated, portions have become half prices have doubled recently been there and many Europeans were there for food and drinks + giving company
The best and fresh prawns dish I ever had in Mumbai. I feel seafood over here is value for money. Ambience is not much to write about. Seating arrangement is bit conjusted.
The service was too good. The waiters were good enough to serve and talk. The food quality was also good. What I felt was the pricing was a bit on the expensive path when compared to the food given. I know the place is in Fort,CST but the food quantity could be increased a bit.
rating 4 star for the service and food quality.
We reached this place by chance and by google suggestion of food places. It is a small place in one of the lanes of Fort where you would expect ok food but to our surprise the food was excellent.
Their malvani food is to die for like we tried the bombil fry, prawsn sukka, chicken ghee roast, solkadi, neer dosa...and trust me we over ate to the glory. Must visit place for Mumbaikars.
WOW ! In short, I thought there was nobody to even TOUCH the likes of TRISHNA, MAHESH & EXCELLENSEA, where sea-food experiences are compared. PRATAP has carved a niche for itself, in the last few years, with a wholesome menu, standard quality, taste, even service and a comfortable, homely ambience, while eating in. I would order home from Pratap, rather than even Mahesh lunch home, as it scores in taste, quality & quantity ! Crab Mongolian, Prawns ghee roast and Squid recheado are excellent choices, accompanied with Neer dosa or Wheat tandoori rotis.
Yummy coastal and local cuisine. Both the seafood and the chicken dishes were top grade. Completely relished the Chicken Sukka and the Surmai Tawa Fry, and the side dishes - a simple omlette and French fries together with the good old rice; make for a complete and a satisfying lunch! *Burp!
A bit expensive but a restaurent of different tastes chicken ghee roast is a must try and crispy fish too. Also it takes a lot of time for the food to come to table.
Simply awesome, just go there and grab some food!!
Mutton boti kebabs, Tandoori Bangda were lip smacking..
Sea food biryani was really delicious and it very well cooked with crabmeat, chunks of fried rawas, squids and prawns. The most important thing is all sea food items were fried and then cooked with rice for perfect taste.
Well a hidden gem in one of the bylanes of Fort. This place serves some really good sea food.. The squid chow chu being my absolute favorite and a must have. The other dish that I had tried few years back was the Peri peri jumbo prawns, and it really packed in some bold flavors. Sol kadi needs to be made with 1st press, which they don't.The rawas curry that we had with some neer Dosa was absolutely amazing!! Really worth a visit! Conjusted seating but who minds when the food is good.
Excellent Service and fresh sea food. Warm and kind staff. Ask for suggestions and local varieties. Not to be missed: crab soup and the fresh fried fish (local catch according to season and size). Will definitely recommend to friends travelling to Mumbai and will visit again! Lots of love from Delhi! Keep up the excellent service and quality.
If there was an award for the best sea food in Mumbai, it should go to Pratap’s. Whatever you have here in Sea food from the Prawns Gassi to the crabs to fish fry, it’s fantastic. The place is a little noisy but the food makes up for everything.
Visited for dinner on a Monday night as a group of seven. The restaurant was unexpectedly full for a weekday but once we got started on the culinary delights we could see why!
The whole crab in butter garlic sauce was the highlight, flavored to perfection. The Kalimirchi Fish Tikkas (Rawas) were succulent as were the Reshmi Chicken tikkas. We had a Rawas Tawa Fry and Rawas in Gassi curry with neer dosas, both excellent. Chicken in Ghee Roast and Chicken Malwani were awesome- packed with spices and aromatics. The malai kulfi and caramel custard rounded off our meal nicely.
Service was extraordinary. One of our guests was eager to photograph the live crab they brought to the table for inspection. They delighted her by placing it on the table in front of her and allowing it to scuttle around for a moment. Our servers outdid themselves with recommendations, urged us to eat more, generously provided complimentary portions of curry with the rice and were exceedingly solicitous.
We look forward to going back and sampling more of their extensive menu.
If you are a seafood lover than this is the place for you... We had fish chilly roast, squid chow chu and chicken tikka biryani.... Definitely not a good place to order biryani... It was an epic fail... The squid chow chu was tasty and yummy but it had lots of coriander seeds on it... The star of the evening was the FISH CHILLY ROAST... It was creamy and super tasty... The order takes a hell lot of time to arrive but it was worth the wait.. The staff is very polite and courteous.
Been to this family restaurant located in next street of Zara fort.
Had some quick munching items with chilled glass of beer.
This restaurant is known for its seafood speciality. N I can say confidently they are masters in seafood
Restaurant ambience is so beautiful.you can feel like home.
I would sincerely recommend this place if you guys are looking for fresh seafood pratap lunch home will never let you down
Highly recommended place!!
Perfect place if you want to taste some delicious seafood. The service is quite good and the staff very polite and accommodating. I had their prawn curry, neer dosa and butter garlic crab. Everything was prepared quite well and tasted delicious.
Well-known restaurant for coastal cuisine. Must say they serves best seafood south Indian & continental style. I've tried their veg dishes too, I like the paneer dishes especially starter but I didn't like any of a chicken dishes, don't even try them

Been to this place today afternoon for lunch and believe me it was mind blowing for sea food 🥘 had again one of the best bombil fry , rawa Tava fry as per catch and it was just mouth watering and mind blowing :) I would rate this place to be much much better quality and money wise than mahesh lunch home ... orders chicken tandoori and believe me it was cooked so nice without color and shell Sukha with Ne’er dosa yummmyyyyuu and to end with ghee rice with fish curry is owesome combination
Seafood lovers do visit this place and enjoy your meal too much value for money 💰
One word EPIC
The fish ghee roast was like nothing we have tried. A clear 5/5
Solkadhi was brilliant and has a tangy twist which you usually don’t get at most places. 5/5
The Fish Koliwada was slightly over fried but awesome nonetheless. 4/5
The neer dosa was steaming hot and absolutely perfect. 5/5
Nice Sea food joint, pretty ordinary but the food is really good along with proper quantity. It’s an all day dining Restaurant, we had lunch at 5.30 pm with a smile as the service was also pretty good along with the cleanliness.
Pratap lunch home is famous for seafood. The place is at walking distance from CSTM. It’s a small yet spacious place. Staff was very attentive and welcoming. Food was awesome. It’s a must visit place for seafood lovers
Food we tried:

Crab 🦀 in butter garlic gravy- a big crab served with butter garlic gravy. Try this if you like garlic lot
Fish tikka parichi- smoked tandoor flavoured fish tikka. Delicious

Amazing Coastal Preps (Mangalorean style) at Fort Opp Siddhart college.
USP : fresh catch of the day
Generous portion served, Value for Money
Detailed review coming up soon.
Love the Sol Kadhi here.
Do visit.
If your soul is craving for seafood then
located in the bustling bylanes about a km from CST/Churchgate, This place is your one stop solution. The place is full even on weekdays too and the entrance is a homage to it's past 60 years glory in form of newspaper clippings... What I Extremely love from their menu is
- Prawns Tawa Fry
- Fish Ghee Roast with Neer Dosa
- Prawns Ghassi
- Buttermilk ❤️
- Biryani
Service & Ambiance both are so good that your dining experience rises to another level. Highly recommended place for Seafood binge.
Pratap Lunch Home
This place is a house of SeaFood and pure hub of North Indian Cuisine.
The place is damn good and the staff gives the best options to try out there!
Chicken Resham Kebab was one of the best thing I tried here!
Rawas Taw Fry was another dish which I loved it here!
This place is really good at Seafood and is damn recommended for Seafood.
Pratap Lunch home is a very not fancy restaurant in the bylanes of fort with by far, the best sea food we have had in Mumbai till now. The quantities are huge and it's a sea food lovers paradise. Very very reasonable with konkani flavours mixed politely with the different sea creatures on the menu it's a treat for anybody who loves to have malabari/ Konkani sea food.
We tried the prawns ghee roast, roasted lobster meat, fish tikka, and pomfret Kali Miri... And not even a single thing has dissapointed us. The starters paired with neer dosa takes the food coma to a whole new level!
If you're a sea food lover. Please do visit this place. It's a beautiful experience.

Hello folks!!!
Do follow theheavy_eater on instagram
Pratap lunch home has a legacy of its own. The resto has been five n half decades and is the hotspot for lip smacking coastal cuisine. Located nearby CSMT do drop by for a taste that will linger for days.
Food: surmai tawa fry: sliced large cut of surmai (mackerel) pan fried in red paste. Delicious to taste.
King prawns chilly roast: king sized prawns roasted with butter and medium spicy gravy of garlic. Delicious gravy and prawns combo.
Crab in butter garlic sauce : Delicious crab flesh cooked in butter garlic sauce. It was delicious, looked tempting.
Fish tikka parichi: fish chunks cooked tandoor style in parichi spice. The fish was fresh and tender. The smoked tandoor flavor made it more delicious
Prawns tikka biryani: small sized prawns a bit spicy tasted amazing with the curry.
Rabdi and Caramel Custard were delicious. perfect end to lovely lunch
We had neer dosa with crab main course.
Ambience is pretty good with adequate seating space. You can select the chpice of fish you would love to try.
Mr Harish, Mr Shiva and Mr Omkar helped us deciding the dishes to have. Service is prompt and you have an amazing experience for sure.
Happy dining 😊
See food & eat Seafood !!
Being a Goan I am always hungry and looking out for some awesome seafood in the city and let me warn you I like my seafood top notch.
Mumbai has some great seafood serving restaurants but let me be frank I don’t enjoy them much due to my peculiar Goan Seafood taste!!
Fortunately I came across this little restaurant settled in the the streets of Fort and I thought of giving it a try!
The ambience is really good, something that even a vegeterian person would enjoy (Apparently it doesn’t smell fishy hence) about 12-14 tables. The service is really good with the staff really helpful and smiling.
Coming to the food:
They have a wide variety of seafood dishes catering to the local Konkan Cuisine to the Chinese cuisine. We started off with the:
•KING PRAWN CHILLI FRY:
This was a good starter for a prawns lover. This had huge king sized prawns fried till golden fry and added in a chilli tangy gravy, not too spicy and not even too oily. The taste was really good as it gave a good spicy kick and I would highly recommend this starter!
Rating-4.5/5
•KALIMIRI TANDOORI POMFRET:
This was a beauty. A whole pomfret in tandoori style. This was cooked very perfectly. Marinated in the right amount of pepper and added with a touch of cheese. This was a mouthful bliss. (P..S: I still salivate thinking about it). Also don’t forget the green chutney served with the dish!
Rating-5/5
•FISH TIKKA (boneless):
The base fish was rawas which is basically a fresh water fish. The fish was marinated in some really good Tikka spices. Loved how it tasted and how well it was done. Also the fish was very tender and it literally melted in the mouth. Another amazing dish!
Rating-5/5
•TAWA SURMAI:
A big piece(trust me it was very big) of surmai (kingfish) is tawa Fried with some green masala and fried to perfection. The fish had a really good taste. Though the marination could have been better but still it tasted good!
Rating-4/5
•NEER DOSA AND FISH CURRY:
Paper thin dosas are served with this special fish curry. We were really full after all those starters so we could have just one dosa and some fish curry. This was very tasty and had the original Konkan curry and it gave a spicy kick to our taste buds!!
•MALAI KULFI:
A perfect way to end a good seafood lunch! The kulfi was perfect in every sense. Not too sweet not to creamy yet tasty!
Rating-5/5
ETC’s FINAL VERDICT:
Overall it was an amazing place to try some amazing and mouthwatering Seafood. Also it is a good place for a vegetarian as you don’t get any bad fish odour there. Also service is good and most importantly the seafood has a good taste and is prepared well!!
Till then Keep Eating,Keep Travelling and Keep Clicking!!!
Pratap lunch home is definately a hidden gem in fort. This place is a total paradise for all the sea food lovers. The staff is generous and sweet. The ambiance is like any other restaurant. The food is a bit spicy you'll have to ask them to make it a little less spicy. They have all the fishes right from lobsters to crabs to tiger prawns. The food has authentic andra taste made using different spices and coconut milk. There are very less restaurants in Mumbai that serve andra cuisine and hence it makes it different than other restaurants.
We tried the following
▶️Food
🔽lobster manderian
🔽bangda tawa fry
🔽king prawns chilly roast
Lobster meat was extremely sweet. It was in green thick gravy along with bell pepper. Bangda tawa fry was shallow fried with limited spices yet was so delicious. King prawn chilly roast was again a delicious Andra-chinese starter. It came in red sauce. And meat was extremely soft. Prawns cooked were tiger prawns.
🔽fish tikka kalimiri
🔽fish tikka parichi
🔽fish tikka sarso
🔽fish tikka kadipatta
Fish cooked was basa. The succulent pieces were well marinated. They were so soft it broke into fillets as soon as i had a bite. Although the tikkas were ex spicy. My favourite has to be the kalimiri tikka and sarso tikka. The parichi was in red and just like the color it was extremely spicy.
This place is definitely my favorite on the list for all my sea food cravings. This place is a bit expensive but it's worth a visit.
Felt like eating something fishy and decided to try the much heard about place in town, 'Pratap Lunch Home' so there we visited this pretty, fine dining restaurant that servea the freshest fish straight from the Sasun docks to their kitchen in the hands of the expert cooks. They cook the fiah perfectly and serve it in the most beautiful way. It looks beautiful to the eyes and its just wow in taste too.
Location - It's just a 10 minutes walk from the Churchgate station and 5 mintes walk from Cst station. It's a pleasant walk ans we located this restaurant easily.
A little history - I usually never mention this, but this is something that touched my heart. It's run by Prashant Sir amd the shop is named Pratap, Pratap being his elder brother, their Father started this lunch home over 60 years back with a monthly pass to be punched daily for a meal. There used to be a line to enter and eat a meal. Now this history of serving straight from the heart is what I saw in this lunch hone with the generous portions of fish served at a reasonable price. Trust me I have bought a raw lobster for ₹1500 during Christmas and here a cooked lobster is served for ₹1200. When I asked Prashant sir, as to how is the price so reasonable. His answer was, I like to see people happy and enjoy the fresh fish we serve and since they get the fresh catch straight from the dock to their kitchen, they keep a very low profit margin. I'm impressed and touched with this person with a heart of Gold. God bless.
We settled down ans called for different types of fish.
It's great time enjoy your seafood with a fresh lime soda.
Tiger Prawns Chilli Roast - Four really huge prawns cooked perfectly in a thick chilli garlic sauce are served nice and hot. The best tiger prawns I've had till date.
Pomfret Tandoori - King size Pomfret cooked in a thick mustard sauce and served with a vegetable salad. Thia diah is one of my favorite. I strongly recommend this pomfret.
Rawas kalimiri Tandoori - Salmon tandoored with black pepper and grilled to perfection. The fish just melts in your mouth.
Surmai Tawa Fry - A huge slice of Surmai, spiced and froed on the tawa till golden brown.
Minced Crab in Burnt Garlic Sauce - Since we didn't want to order for a full crab, they even have the option of minced crab meat , it's served in a chinese style with burnt garlic sauce, feel free to enjoy this with rice or roti. I opted for roti. Loved the blend of flavors of burnt garlic with crab meat.
Lobster Peri Peri - How can we not try a lobster here. Its cooked in a chinese way and presented with the empty shell of the lobster by its side. Presentation stole my heart and it tastes real good too.
Dessert - The caramel custard is too good and all you want after all the fish you have enjoyed. Aits not too sweet, perfectly prepared and served chilled with a burnt sugar syrup. Yummy
Overall verdict - This is where I've enjoyed the best seafood till date. I strongly recommend vthis place for all my fish lovers. ,6The staff is extremely courteous ans I felt like I'm eating my meal at home. The way they qpuld serve with a smile. And a special thanks to Shiva the manager, who explained us the dishes so well and took great care of us. Kudos to the entire team of Pratap Lunch Home. A delicious and satisfying lunch home, away from home.
Pratap lunch home is a paradise for all sea food lovers.
We have heard a lot about their food and specially the seafood. Fresh, fresh and super delicious.
Yesterday I had a chance to visit this iconic place.
It has decent ambiance with good interiors. It is spacious enough for about 50 peoples to comfortably sit and dine at a time.
The staff here is polite, friendly and suggestive.
Their menu consists of Seafood, Chinese, Mangalorean, north Indian and beverages.
Here is what we ordered:
• Pomfret Sarso Tandoori:🐠✔✔😋
Delightful and delicious, crusty on the outside, smooth and tender on the inside. It was grilled to perfection in mustard sauce. The flavors oozed out in every bite. It was melt-in-mouth and with a dash of lemon, it tasted absolutely fantastic.
• Rawas Kalamiri Tandoori:🐟✔✔😋
Juicy and scrumptious rawas perfectly grilled with exotic flavors of kalamiri, making it a delicious rawas delight.
• Crab Meat Burnt Garlic:🦀✔
Lots of burnt garlic made this crabmeat flavorful and wildly delicious.
• Tiger Prawns Chili Roast:🐅🦐✔✔😋
Big in size and roasted in chilly spices, these four pieces of tiger prawns were spicy, smoky on outside, juicy and crazy delicious on inside.
• King Prawns tandoori:🦐✔✔😋
The best tandoori prawns I have ever had. Fresh and big, perfectly grilled prawns bursting with tandoori flavors.
• Surmai slice tandoori:🐠✔✔😋
Flawlessly delicious and flavorful slice of surmai with wonderful aromas and deep flavors of the traditional fish spices.
• Lobster Peri Peri:✔
Super fresh lobster cooked in Chinese style with a kick of heat from peri peri, making this lobster yummy and mouth watering.
Overall: (5/5)
Taste - 5/5
Service – 5/5
Value for money –5/5
Revisit- Sure
On my recent visit to Mumbai, got a chance to visit the iconic Pratap Lunch home.
Had heard about this place from friends and decided to give it a try as i was ina mood for some seafood and we were left wanting for more.
Started off with Tiger prawns, big and juicy as they come. Pomfret was fresh and well prepared, loved the Salmon with black pepper spice preparation.
I would sincerely recommend this place if you guys are looking for fresh seafood, Pratap Lunch home will never let you down,
A visit here is a memory to cherish and i have some fondest memory of my visit here.
Highly recommended place!!!
Once in a while you discover a secret gem that reminds you why you really love eating out.
Visited 'Pratap Lunch Home' recently and this gem scores on 2 important aspects for me - Great Food & Great Seadfood!
Nestled in a bylane opposite Siddharth Law College and a quick 10 minutes walk from Churchgate station, this 60 year old iconic hotel has been serving the freshest & delicious catch of seafood you can gorge upon.
It is a family run restaurant, seatings are comfortable and can accomodate somewhere around 60 people at any point of time.
Coming to what we ordered :
- Tiger Prawns Chilli Roast : True to its name 4 pieces of really huge prawns were served in a semi-dry gravy. Flavorful and juicy in each bite. Prawns lovers paradise!
- Pomfret Tandoori (Sarso) : King size Pomfret cooked in mustard sauce and served hot on our table, the flavors on this will transport you into a different world.
- Rawas Kalimiri Tandoori : Whole Indian Salmon tandoored with black pepper, loved the spiciness on this one and must have for Salmon lovers.
- Surmai Tawa Fry : A large slice of Surmai (Mackerel) tawa fried to perfection.
- Crab in Burnt Garlic Sauce : Minced crab meat served in a chinese style with garlic sauce, pair this up any rice and you are sorted for a main course. If you like Chinese cuisine then this is a must try. Generous portion of minced crab meat in this dish.
- King Prawns Tandoori (Parichi) : 8 Tandoored prawns (Still large in size post tandoor preparation) served to us and you can't have enough of this, disappeared in no time and left us wanting for more.
- Lobster Peri Peri : Cooked in a chinese style and presented just as per my mental image, this one is a novelty and must have for those whose love exotic seafood.
We were completely content with all the dishes ordered and stuffed as well that we could not have another morsel and yet their menu had so much more to offer.
I cannot wait for another visit to this lunch home to try out more dishes or will I stick to the same dishes, time will tell but a next visit is due for sure.
The staff is courteous, well informed and always around when you need them.
Pratap Lunch Home opens its doors from 11.30 am to 12.30 midnight and provides free delivery in nearby vicinity and they have tie-up with Swiggy for online deliveries.
Fort, the teensie bit of Mumbai teeming with AUTHENTIC parsi, Mangalorean, Kerala food ingredients others. No fusion. No ridiculous shenanigans. Just GREAT Food.
Located in the bustling bylanes about a km from CST, it's not hard to locate. The place is full even on weekdays and the entrance is a homage to it's past glory in form of newspaper clippings.
The servers were very courteous and with a few quick questions could decipher my tastebuds better than me ! The entire order was based on their suggestions.
- PRAWNS TAWA FRY ❤️
- FISH SARSO ❤️
- FISH KALIMIRCH TIKKA ❤️
- FISH GHEE ROAST & NEER DOSA ❤️
- PRAWNS GASSI ❤️
- BUTTERMILK ❤️
It pays to note, the fish is Surmai and the preparation is authentic. The GHEE ROAST transported me to another stratosphere, simply by being what it is truly supposed to taste like.
This place is a MUST TRY if seafood is your soul calling.
Finally visited the legendary outlet of Pratap Lunch Home in Fort. Located in the small lanes of Fort area this restaurant can be spotted quite easily and serves the best seafood dishes in town. In other words, this place is true heaven for all Seafood lovers. Loved the colourful interiors of this place which beautifully painted walls. They have an extensive food menu with so many seafood dishes to choose from.
What we tried:
Sol Kadhi- Thick, creamy soul kadi had a yummy taste. Highly recommended.
BurntGarlicCrab- Fresh crab meat tossed in medium spiced burnt garlic gravy and bell peppers.
PrawnsChillyRoast- One of the best prawn dishes I’ve eaten in a while. King sized prawns tossed with thick gravy was made to perfection.
KalamiriFishTandoori- Full sized promfret fish marinated with black pepper and grilled. Also, sprinkled with whole black pepper pieces on the top. You can’t afford to miss out on this one here.
LobsterChilly- Highly impressed with the presentation of the dish. Also, the rich taste of the lobsters totally amazed me. Definitely a must try.
ClamsSukkaWithNeerDosa- Shell fish cooked in coconut and spices tastes best when paired with soft Neer Dosa.
SeaFoodBiryani- Authentic Malvani Style Biryani consisting of squids, boneless fish pieces and prawns blended well with spicy masala and rice. Rich in taste and filling portion.
Dessert:
CaramelCustard
Matka Rabdi
Overall, we had a great meal at Pratap Lunch Home. The best thing about this place is they serve piping hot food with excellent presentation skills. The service is great and the staff is courteous too. The next time you wish to have a seafood binge head over to this place treat your tummy with the most lip smacking dishes.
I finally had a chance to visit this place. Had heard a lot about the place and as a Seafood fanatic I wanted to visit this restaurant soon.
This restaurant is situated in the heart of south mumbai and is easily accessible from churchgate or cst.
Entering the place the ambience is just perfect. It has nice wall paintings of fishes and you just know that you are within a Seafood Paradise.
Started off with Fish Tikka Kalimiri & Sarso. The fish was so perfectly cooked and the masala was just perfect.
Then I tried the King Prawns Chilli Roast and i was just amazed on how tasty the prawns were and how well they were cooked, not overcooked and perfectly roasted in a chilli based masala.
Next on the menu was Chicken Tikka Kadipata. On a serious note I was skeptical how would a chicken dish would be in a place which specialised in seafood. But they proved me wrong it was so good that I ended up ordering more chicken based dishes.
Thinking of moving directly towards the main I thought that i definitely need to try the fish fry. And there It was in a platter in front of my eyes. The infamous Bombil(Bombay Duck) Fry and i have just one word for it.. AWESOME.. Its a must try and pratap doesn't fail to deliver with the quality of the fish.
I moved on to trying the chicken achari masala with steam rice. And it gave me that mangalorean kick. Hot steam rice with the tanginess of the achari masala with the soft delicious chicken pieces.
Ended my meal with my favourite, caramel custard. And I have just one say. This place doesn't disappoint at all. I just loved the Caramel custard there.it was a perfect end to my meal. I dint want to try anything else and change the mood that the Caramel custard had created.
I would truly recommend every dish that i've had. The captain also helps you well in deciding what you would like to have. This place is a must visit for all seafood lovers.
I went to Pratap Lunch Home with high expectations, with a Swedish friend.
We tried:
Paneer Chilly Roast: Probably the best Paneer dish I've ever had, at any seafood place!
Mushroom Hariyali: Amazing gravy, and nice chunks of Mushroom!
Pomfret Parichi: Let's just say, I'm in love with seafood all over again!!!
Lobster Chilly Roast: The gravy was similar to the Paneer Chilly Roast, but the Lobster was super fresh and tender!
Overall, considering the ambience (10/10, the service (10/10), I'd rate this place at 10/10. And, its pretty value for money, with the other seafood places in comparison. Needless to say, I'll be looking forward to my next visit to Pratap Lunch Home, while I'll be recommending it in my circles!
Follow @the.raastekabhukkad (Instagram) for more.
Pratap lunch home is in the same vicinity as the Mahesh lunch home and the food is of equal standards there. The quality is of top level and the rates are reasonable. Paradise for seafood lovers. Old restaurant serving authentic manglorean sea food and other cuisine.
The meal started with prawns Malabar, small prawns, good quantity, having mild flavour of black pepper, crispy and fried to perfection.
Then came king prawns chilli roast and rawas parichi, both were opposite in flavours, king prawns chilli roast was full of flavours and rawas parichi was mild in flavours, both were equally good, enjoyed both of them. Personal favourite would be king prawns chilli roast.
We also tried fish fingers which were very nicely made, minced rawas which was perfectly fried, coated with crispy breadcrumbs, served with mayo sauce.
In mains we tried prawns Sukha and fish ghee roast. Prawns Sukha had the perfect manglorean flavour, flavour of coconut and spices. Good amount of prawns pieces which were soft and fresh. Fish ghee roast was equally good, having good flavour of ghee and spices. At last we tried caramel custord, which was a surprise with its silken texture and perfect sweetness.
I would love to go again and again over here. In love with the food served here.

Heaven for seafood lovers. Tried lots of things, each and every dish was made to perfection. The ambience is of typical south Indian restaurant with comfortable seatings.
Things we tried:
Prawns Malabar
Small prawns with good quantity, more than 25 pieces, awesome marination with medium spicy masala, having that manglorean flavours and flavour of black pepper. Highly recommended. (5/5)
King prawns chilli roast
Another awesome dish. The prawns were nicely marinated and fried, and then tossed in masala having good flavour of garlic. Medium spicy. The King prawns were huge in size, fresh and juicy. Highly recommended. (5/5)
Rawas parichi
Huge piece of rawas, perfect on marination, nicely grilled. Mild flavours. Recommended for those who don't like spicy. Served with onion tomato salad. (4.5/5)
Lobster peri peri
Loved it. It was so so so delicious. The flavours were awesome. The lobster was so nicely marinated having the perfect balance of spices. Mild flavour of peri peri which was good. You also get some masala with this starter so you can enjoy this with neer dosa. (5/5)
Prawns Sukha
I love manglorean cuisine and this dish touched my heart. Full of flavours, small prawns which were good in quantity. Having good flavour of coconut and other spices. Highly recommended. (5/5)
Chicken Kori roti
I was recommended this dish by a friend. But order only if you can finish it. The quantity is too good as well as the flavours. It's a manglorean speciality dish and they did it perfectly. It's bedded in kadak dosa pieces, gravy and chicken pieces are poured on the dosa. It's served with the coconut gravy which had good flavour of coconut. I really enjoyed it. (5/5)
Caramel custord
Perfect way to end the scrumptious meal. It had perfect balance of sweetness.
Overall I would definitely recommend this place who loves seafood. The rates are reasonable and food is served fresh. Service is quick.
We were at this iconic eatery just today! The food served is specialising in sea food - its one of the most iconic eateries serving seafood and all kinds of it! Just brilliant - they have some four or five tables but the service is brilliant along with the food quality as well which is simply outstanding!
Ghanshyam the manager made sure we were well taken care of! We tried the below:
Crab meat soup
Sol kadi
Pompfret parichi
Tiger prawns peri peri
Tiger prawns chilli roast
Crab tandoori
King prawns peri peri
Mutton shammi kabab
Ravas malwani
Neer dosa
Matka rabdi
Caramel custard
The food was just amazing, the seafood size and the quality was the freshest that we have had till now. The prices are totally worth the food that is served! This is the best seafood place that i have eaten at and everyone must visit this place!
Good music, excellent seafood, cheap booze. Can't ask for more.
Food: 4/5
Ambience: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Value for money: 3.5/5
We ordered prawns koliwada, bombil fry for starters. Both cooked well, bombil could've been spiced a bit more. The koliwada was on point. The spicy and salty starers were a perfect complement for the drinks that are priced real low.
For the main course, we ordered a delicious crab ghassi, and a prawns pulimunchi with steam rice. The huge crab with the spicy ghassi was the highlight of the night with the soft meat being the perfect foil for the spicy gravy. The prawn pulimunchi was not bad either but couldn't outdo the crab.
Stuffed, we then ordered the Caramel custard which was the perfect end to a food extravaganza.
Highly recommended, this place
Had dinner here last weekend. This was my second visit here. Actually after the first visit I noticed that the menu was so vast that I definitely needed to visit here a second time. I had ordered rawas tandoori in mustard sauce, seafood clear soup and prawns biriyani. This place is a heaven for seafood lovers. The rawas was cooked to perfection and it was so tender and juicy. The seafood soup mainly contained prawns and it was great in taste and aroma. The biriyani was slightly more in masala but was good enough to impress me. The quantity of every item was good and it justifies the price they charge. Also the service is quite good. Kudos to the management and the entire team. Will definitely visit this place again and again.
This little place at fort is at walking distance from CST. Their speciality is seafood and they are completely nailing it.
Fish tikka sarso : I don't like sarso , but this fish changed my thoughts. The fish is coated with sarso seeds and haldi. It looks really simple yet mouth watering.
Tiger prawn chilly roast : The prawns were supper big , juicy and were just melting in the mouth. The chilly roast masala was yum. Made with onions and tasted heavens.
Promfet kalamir : Another fish again simple yet flavorful. Coated with lots of black pepper the fish was tender and well cooked.
Chicken lahori : Chicken is super juicy and tender , the sabzi is not too spicy nor too bland.
Spring roll : So these rolls are massive. Think before you order them as starters. The taste spot on.
Rabdi: this was delicious chilled well and had good combination of dry fruits and saffron.
One thing i loved about this restaurant is the portion size , you really are getting good portion by paying a good price
Pleasant experience. But I wouldn't say Pratap makes the best manglorean sea food in town. Yet recommended, if you are in that part of the city and feel like authentic desi food. (I'm a Mangaloren, and tasty Mangaloren food for me means that the flavours should burst in my mouth. So I can be a bit tough here)
Portions are good, sizes too. King prawns are large as you would expect. Surmai rava fry, always a killer.
We wanted a 65 something for the love of it. But prawns had to be the roast chilly since I had read so much about it. Our guys were kind enough to make Squid 65, something not on the menu.
Alcohol prizes - average, not a rip off.
Servers are kind and friendly.
Will go again to try their fish biryani if I'm that side.
PS: If you are on a hunt for good Mangaloren food try Maharaja at Andheri Weh metro, or Akshay at Parel.
Amazing place/ambience with Good quality food..had been to this place with friends and ordered a variety of starters chicken Tandoori, bombil and prawns rawa fry and in the main course it was chicken gassi, Suka Chicken and Suka teesrya/prawns and paneer tikka gravy and mushroom tikka..All the dishes that were served were amazing...
Had the best crab curry ever!! Must try their crab in burnt garlic sauce. Also tried their fried salmon which was delicious. Very helpful, courteous staff add to the experience.
One of the gem places in Fort, Pratap lunch home has been serving the best sea foods since the last six decades. A bit difficult to find the location, this place serves sea food in North Indian, Mangalorian and Chinese cuisine. Having a vast menu ranging from soups to rolls, tandooris to tawa fries, and lot more, I found this place jam packed even on a Wednesday evening. The menu and alcohol prices fit your pocket as well, and hence it's always rushed up!! Not that spacious in the ambience, the service is also decent.
A list of the delicacies we had :
Murg shorba soup : Chicken broth
Chicken schezwan roll : Chinese roll with chicken stuffed inside and schezwan sauce. Was a bit too oily.
Chicken crsipy : Perfect and spicy chicken crsipy.
Whole pompfret tawa fry : Authentic pompfret tawa fry served in 2 marinades : Green and Red. I went for the red spicy one . Authentic !!
Sol kadi : A perfect desi refreshing one which keeps your metabolism smooth .
Sarso rawas tikka : For the ones who love mustard preparations, this one's a must try. Rawas chunks deboned and marinated in sarso, with that strong taste and condiments in it.
Sizzling brownie
One word that comes to my mind when I think about this restaurant is wow!
Each morsel we ate tasted delicious.
We started with Crab clear soup which was Okay in taste, it could have been better.
Then we ordered chicken sheekh kebab and trust me the quantity was good and the meat tasted fresh.
For main course we ordered prawn ghee roast and neer dosa. This was one the best dish of the day!
Couldn’t resist licking fingers because the flavours, color, ingredients did complete justice. I was so full and content!
Do visit this restaurant if you want its seafood to blow your mind.
Highly recommended 👍

+5
We were at the outlet last evening for dinner and honestly if I could give this place 6 out of the 5 stars possible I’d give it that!
An iconic eatery in terms of their seafood, this is a place that has survived the test of time. We’ve eaten at a lot of seafood places - from the most fancy ones around to the little hole in the wall kind of joints and Pratap Lunch Home just trumped it all.
It was a clear winner not only in terms of the freshness of the meat and the ingredients used but also the taste and the subtle difference in the taste between dishes. The gassi tasted different from the tawa fry masala which was different from the ghee roast masala. Everything was a real delicacy.
It’s a small place one of the Fort bylanes but they serve some brilliant seafood and Chinese dishes. They’re both a must try here.
We tried the below dishes:
1. Chicken Manchow Soup
2. Chicken Lollipop
Both of these Chinese dishes were just brilliant executed. The soup was warm and spicy and full of chicken and eggs. The chicken lollipop was crisp and delicious and juicy.
In the seafood we tried the below:
3. Surmai Tawa Fry: the Tawa Fry was one of the freshest surmai that we have had in a long long time.
4. Tandoori crab: the crab was delicate, fresh and loaded with lots of masala. Really well made crab.
5. Tiger Prawns Chilli: the largest prawns that we have had and the most delicious gravy. I could definitely eat this over and over again. This one is a must recommendation.
6. Chicken Ghee Roast: the ghee Roast was a Rich, loaded masala
7. Pomfret Gassi: the Gassi curry was really good and the pomfret was fresh. We polished this off with some neer dosa.
This was all a really brilliant meal. Service was really friendly and really quick as well.
The food was also priced really well and I definitely recommend this place for everyone.
Pratap lunch home, Fort.
This place is located between Churchgate and fort it is easy to find as its in the main town. The place is well known for the sea food and it attracted me as it had an interesting menu. I dropped here on a Monday night to try out some dishes here. The ambiance is decent with low lights and painting around. Pratap lunch home, I can surely say it is one of the best place to have finger licking good sea food.
What I tried from here - Chicken Ghee roast, Tiger prawns chilly roast, Crab tandoori, Pomfret tandoori parichi, Lobster peri peri and Matka Rabdi.
Chicken ghee roast - One of the best South Indian style chicken ghee roast I’ve had in my life. The spices are so well marinated that it won my heart over again every bite. Red Indian spices with a dominant taste of garlic (5/5)
Tiger prawns chilly - Huge pieces of tiger prawns with a twist of peanuts and garlic. Only try if you would like the taste of peanuts with prawns. Tasted well with the green chutney (4/5)
Crab Tandoori - Did not expect any restaurant to make crab to this perfection. Crab is well cooked with the flavour of Tandoor and spices. Must have for crab lovers.
They have options for crab without the body or with. (5/5)
Pomfret tandoori parichi - The names defines it all. (5/5)
Lobster peri peri - Lobster with bell peppers couldn’t taste any better. The flavour of peri peri, garlic and bell peppers made the lobster taste just perfect. (5/5)
Matka rabdi - Basic Matka Rabdi. Nothing much to brag about (5/5)
Final verdict - This place is pure heaven for sea food lovers. The spices will melt their heart as it’s another level amazing, all the dishes are little on the spicy side could be changed by preference.
Taste - 5/5
Service - 5/5
(Pictures will be uploaded soon)
These folks server delicious Non veg especially fish. Slightly cosy place hidden behind Metro Work. I would have given it five star had they not wrongly served a chicken dish in place of a fish dish once!
Pratap Lunch Home is a seafood speciality restaurant located at Fort, Mumbai.
The sixty five year old iconic restaurant serves seafood delicacies in manglorean, malwani, north indian and chinese cuisine.
The restaurant also has a fair share of vegetarian, chicken and mutton dishes in its menu.
The food menu is a mix of soup, salad, tandoori grills, tawa fry, appetizers, mains and desserts.
So here is what I had -
BEVERAGE :-
SOL KADI -
Kokum and coconut milk based cooler with a zing of green chillies and grounded spices, Refreshing !

Crab meat tossed in butter with loads of garlic and scallions.
The delicate crab meat just melted in my mouth, had a mild flavour of white pepper, tasted extremely delicious.

Batter fried prawns tossed in asian sauces.
Really nice, king prawns were used in the making, good flavour of chillies and garlic.

The rawas tikka was fabulous, it was all about the creamy marinate with bold flavour of black pepper.

Whole pomfret marinated with manglorean spices, pan seared in tawa.
The pomfret was absolutely fresh, seasoning was apt, tasted extremely delicious.
PRAWNS CHOW CHU -

Something very different, the zingy coriander flavour went really well with the prawns.

Fish cubes tossed in ghee with ginger, chilli, garlic, manglorean spices and grated coconut.
A manglorean speciality, super spicy, tasted extremely delicious with neer dosa.

Pratap Lunch Home is a seafood paradise.
Their seafood food is extremely fresh and flavourful. Each dish was unique and different.
Service was excellent.

To all seafoodies reading my review, you should try this place. Very nice place to chill with your family or friends. The staff is customer friendly. Talking about food- it is amazing!!. You should definitely try their squid gassi and rawas pulimunchi. Don't miss their signature Sol Kadi. Quantity is worth it at its price. I loved this place and i'm definitely gonna visit again soon.
This is a must try place if you are around Fort area in Mumbai.. I've tried most of the items on their menu.. My favourite among them is King prawns chilli roast and the veg hyderabadi biryani.
Honestly I had no idea about this place existence. One fellow suggested this place and after going through its menu and reviews on Zomato, I had to visit this.
The menu is so vast and tempting especially for SEAFOOD LOVERS! Divine!
Tried
MARVAI SUKKA (shells)- it’s a coconut based spicy masala- just enough to coat the shells and give that spicy and amazing flavours
And
SQUIDS CHOW CHU - it’s basically squids fried like a tempura and then stir fried with whole coriander seeds and spices.
Have never seen any such preparation and never ever had tasted anything like this! But it’s phenomenal and oh my goodness, will never forget the taste ever.. EVER!! Totally in love!!
All you need is steamed rice and these dishes and voilaaa.. nothing else matters!
Shall be back for more, the first thing when I step down in Mumbai!
Authentic taste. Bombil stuffed is good and fry fish is as expected. The condiments & accompaniments will remind you of grandma!
Had KING PRAWNS CHILLY, it was Wow! The Best ever I had.
So creamy and good quality prawns 🦐.
Combined with Neer Dosa.
Can also add 30ml Chivas Regal with it...
Awesome experience with Fantastic collection of seafoods. Santosh the F&B guy was well informed of service and suggestions to guests.
1: Surmai Tawa fry: 10/10
2. Rava Pomfret: 10/10
3: Golden fried squid: 8/10
4. Lobster roast with neer dosa: out of the world
5.Matka Rabdi: 10/10
Truly a hidden gem. Warm hospitality and great service. We had the tandoori crab, butter garlic lobster and vijaywada prawns, and each exceeded our expectations. I would definitely come back again and again.
This eatery has been our go-to spot, and every visit leaves us happily stuffed. The food's been rocking the same awesome flavors throughout the years. Don't miss out on the Kori Roti – it's the real deal, adding that spicy kick to our dining adventures! 🔥🍽️
One of the best sea food serving restaurant in south Mumbai. In league with neighbouring Trishna or Mahesh. Seriously planning on going again. Good food and friendly staff. Cheers.
Update: had been today after a gap of almost 4 yrs and it is still the best place for good lunch / dinner. Was fortunate to receive today's Shravan Prasad (they have a pooja every day before start of business), wonderful.
Food is always excellent. The tandoori rawas just melts in the mouth. We get it every time we come here. Service is also very attentive and prompt. For dessert the kulfi is also very good.
Best joint for peaceful fellowship, cocktails and dinner with office team. AC and good ambience. Excellent food quality. Very close to Flora fountain. Sea-food and Non-veg lovers will enjoy more. Good service. Fair pricing.
What we enjoyed about Pratap is the fresh, authentic, spicy Malwan seafood and the incredible service from their staff. Would like to mention our attentive server Santosh who guided us with the portions and helped shortlist the best dishes on the menu.
One of the finest and oldest restaurants in the Fort area. This place is popular for non-vegetarian food. The ambience is good and the seating is comfortable. Service is good and staff are courteous. I tried Chicken Kadi Pata Tikka, Hyderabad Dum Biryani and Solkadi. Chicken tikka was flavoursome, delicious and soft. Biryani was properly prepared and scrumptious. Solkadi was perfect. Pricing is little on the higher side and but it is totally worth.
Absolutely loved my small meal at this place!!!!! The fish curry and fish fry were lip smacking!! And I never eat fish curry so if I finished my bowl of fish curry it defiantly says something.... Anyone looking for a good meal with fresh ingredients then this place is a must try in Mumbai....
Lobster was out of the world. Super awesome. I will be coming back again & again. Though it's costly. Like starts from 1000-3000 per lobster. Chicken ghee roast was very bitter so was a total waste. But lobster was super awesome. I have spent lots of money on lobsters even in Goa but this one was unique. So giving full 5 ⭐ bil was 1800 .
We ate twice at Pratap during our stay in Mumbai. The desk manager at our hotel recommended we try Pratap, and we cannot thank him enough. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly service and mostly Indian diners, which says a lot about the quality of the food and service. Can't wait to return to Mumbai and to Pratap lunch home! We highly recommend the Pratap dining experience!
Good option for sea food lovers near area.
Tucked in a bye lane of Fort..this place offer a range of seafood mangalorean style. Staff are courteous and well versed. Uncooked sea food can be selected and chefs will prepare to your liking. Light drinks like beer is also served. Valet service is available. Prebooking is advisable.
Best seafood restaurant in town. Chilli prawn curry is perfect, prawn size is very big and fresh. Seafood hakka noodle is the best ever. No salty nor oily, just perfect.
Worth to pay.
Satff is nice and welcome. He could suggest what you would love by just asking your nationality.
They serve authentic south indian (more on the mangalorean side) preparations and sea food is their speciality. Every dish is unique by itself. If you love spicy food, you're in for an absolute treat. The sea food is 100% fresh . Please keep up the good work. Cheers
