As it was simply very unique.
I loved the food a lot.
The quality was super fresh and nice and so was the taste.

Tunga Bar & Restaurant is a part of Tunga International Hotel which is located in MIDC, central road, Andheri East.
This place is famous for its Casual Dining experience. They have a basic seating and classic ambience with pretty decors and lightings. The food served over here is sure to crave for.
The food quality and quantity is good. The place is bit heavy to pockets but totally worth when it comes to there hospitality and food. The staff here is very humble and way polite.
This is one one the three restaurants in Hotel Tunga International.
In terms of pricing it is more moderate and affordable as compared to their other premium sea food restaurant. But with that being said, there's no way I could find out any difference in the taste or quality. Even the service was very good. I could visit here again and again for the fish thali.
Tunga is very famous in the hospitality industry. They have evetything what it takes to create a magical experience for customers. I have also stayed in their hotel property once and that is when I got a chance to visit this restaurant. For lunch they have a thali system too which I opted for. Veg thali is the perfect way to get to try an array of dishes. It is competitive in taste and cost which both matters the most.
After visiting Vihara and Something's fishy in the past, I was left to visit only Tunga bar & restaurant in Tunga international hotel. I visited on Sunday for lunch. Since it was a week off and because of the long weekend. there were not many people around. This outlet has a menu very similar to something's fishy but prices are more on the lower end. Food, service and overall the place are all very good.

There are a few places which I visit for Veg thalis but this time for a change I visited here to try their veg thali. I can say their thali was amazing with such a good spread of food and it was so well organised and thoughtfully designed. It was the true taste of manglorian flavours all combined together within a thali.

When you hear the name Tunga you are not only sure but certain of the high food and service standards. We had such an amazing time visiting here to celebrate my brothers birthday. It was fully crowded in the evening which to be honest was a bit of a surprise for me as I've been told evenings are the best times to visit due to less crowd. However that did not have any adverse impact on us as our food and drinks kept coming right in time. Yummilocious is simply the word that comes to my mind if I have to define my whole experience of food in one word.

Interiors and exteriors are bright and colourful. Best time to visit would be evening because it has less rush.

This is a small family restaurant located in mahakali,Andheri. One of the few places where you can share thali. It has indoor as well as outdoor seating. They have various breakfast combos as well. We tried veg thali. It was a full course meal with 2 types of dal, 2 types of vegetables, one sweet and one chaat item along with salad and starter. They also serve buttermilk along with it and of course rice to complete the meal. The quantity is enough for two people of you are an avid eater like me. There is an option between roti and poori. The roti is made up of wheat and is like home made roti. Definitely worth a try. You can have an hearty meal just for 300-400₹. Definitely worth a try.!!

What an amazing outlet to enjoy some true style chinese. All dishes have a wide spectrum of ingredients used which make them taste so unique, authetic but at the same time offering what the local market demands. Andheri is a competitive market and customer's look out for value options but taste as well at the same time. Our order was delivered to us in time which is appreciable.
I had ordered for:-
Veg manchurian dry - Manchurian is always a good starter to begin. Manchurian balls were very crispy and the flavour of garlic and sauce in which they were cooked was very good.
Paneer chilly dry - The paneer was so soft and all flavours were so well combined and balanced.
Chilly basil noodles - Unlike our regular hakka noodles this one uses lemon grass, thai red chilly and thai basil which more or less makes it a thai style noodles.
We were all pleased with the splendid food offerings.

Situated in tunga international hotel, this place is suitable for sea food and a few drinks. I absolutely loved their butter garlic prawns, pompret pulimunchi & prawns gassi. I would like to mention about Santosh who gave us such good service.
Tunga Bar & Restaurant has one of the best sea food menu tailored made by their best team of chef's. Moderate pricing and immense variation of cuisines always attracts many people to this place. It is impossible to miss out this one since it is on the main road with a branding that can be viewed easily even from the opposite side of the road. I find thali and their chinese ala carte menu to be the most exciting part about them.

Dices of paneer were big and very soft.
Extra soft paneer that has been so well marinated with onion and green capsicum.

Manglorian prawns tawa fry is the most amazing prawns appetizer. The sharp spice of this dish makes it so special.
Singapore chilly crab was a new one to me. It was highly regarded as one of their top picks and chef's signature dish too. Extremely spicy but I couldn't stop eating. Might crab cooked in chef's secret spices is worth every penny.
Taste, quantity and pricing all make Tunga b&r is a top pick according to me. Thanks to the chef for serving us such lovely appetizers.

While I've been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to visit 2 of their legendary restaurants, it was time to tick off the final one or me on my list.
I headed to Tunga Bar & Restaurant over the past weekend for lunch. The restaurant offers a wide array of cuisine to suit everyone's palate. Despite the fact some feel skepticism on pricing, you can mark my word that it is moderate. Moreover it promises to bring a smile on your face which is probably the primary reason why we head out to any good restaurant. Their service truly sets them apart from any well known brand in the vicinity. Not only did the staff seem well trained but highly skilled and knowledgeable. I believe their enthusiastic team is truly the crowd puller and the one that retains customer loyalty in this brand.
Below is a gist of my dining experience.
1)Kaju Kothimbir Wadi: Not many people right be aware of this dish so let me quickly give a run down about it. It is one of the jewels of Malwani cuisine which I strongly encourage everyone to try regardless of any set preferences which you may already have. Perfect bite size appetizer made using just the 3-4 most easily available and humble ingredients, gram flour, coriander, green chillies and cashewnuts. Fresh Coriander leaves are the hero ingredient in this dish because Kothibimbir in the marathi languages simply translates to coriander. The abundance of flavours and freshness from coriander is so delightful. Cashewnuts add that mild hint of sweetness and offsets the heat from green chillies. Gram flour works as a binding agent helping all the elements amalgamate into a pretty looking dice.
2)Bhendi Malwani Curry: I continued the Malwani route by ordering yet another dish from the cuisine. Okra (Bhendi) is largely used across all cuisines around the globe due to its versatile nature, I should admit I haven't had one as good as this. The flavour profiles are outstanding and create a burst of flavours on the palate. This ones a spicy form of curry which is nicely balanced with the right touch of coconut. Indeed one of the standout examples portrayed by the chef here.

I love visiting places which offer thali. Tunga bar and restaurant has many types of it. All are very tasty fresh and budget friendly. If you try one whole thali you would not order for anything else. I love the food of this restaurant.

We sat in the non ac section since the weather is so pleasant and cold these days.
I thought since it's winter something spicy would be a good idea.
Spicy lemon and coriander soup: This is one of my favorite chinese soup. I love it for the spice, acidity and sourness. It is nice and light on the system and opens up the appetite so well.
Pad Thai noodles and Mix veg hot garlic sauce is quite a nice combination to get some warmth in your body. Sauce was thick and spicy.
Overall we loved dining here.

Vihara is located in Andheri. This place serves very clean and hugenic veg food...The Delivery came in time and food had a nice aroma..The food they offer is damn delicious and the quantity is good..
I had paneer handi, dal makhani and butter kulcha.
Paneer handi :- This was very tasty and filling..It had cubes of soft paneer and the gravy was finger licking good.
Dal makhani :- Dal was thick and creamy. Tasted good with butter kuchla and also steam rice or jeera rice..
Nice and simple place where you can visit with friends. Me and my brother visited here. They have a good and inexpensive menu. Tried some dishes which were suggested to us by Santosh who attended us. His recommended dishes were all good, specially bharli macchi which is a spicy malwani type starter.
Tunga is very famous and it is one of those trust worthy brands which elders in my family vouch for. They are into the restaurant and hotel business for several years and those expertise are visible in the way how they make the customer feel at home. Even some basic things like puri bhaji are made with so much of care which is felt in the taste.

Last month after my Something’s Fishy visit I was super excited to try Tunga bar as it had those Malvani Thalis which I’m a huge fan of.
📍This place is located in Tunga International, ground floor, MIDC , andheri east.
>Ambience - The outdoors are pretty in my opinion while the indoors are bit shady with minimal seatings. All over it is perfect for family or corporate meals.
>Food - The food offerings here are simple and subtle yet superb. WIDE SPREAD MENU, it for real has lot of options to choose from. It definitely delivers quality dining experience.
>Hygiene- The premises are pretty much neat and clean throughout ! Indoors and outdoors both are well maintained !
>Value for money- Being a part of Tunga International group , Tunga bar is pretty value for money , the menu is really priced less according to me as the quality served here is fantastic!

2)Pomphret thali🏁- Same content as chicken thali with the replacement of chicken curry to fried POMPHRET and small portion curry instead of dry chicken !

1)Rabadi with kulfi🏁- Thick and super delicious rabadi into malai kulfi pieces. Pure bliss to your sweet tooth.
2)Caramel custard - Pretty good and absolutely fresh. Loved the fact it was made really well, could have been presented well.

Had been to Tunga for a business lunch buffet. Has good and reasonable variety of food. The starters and soups were served at the table. We had nonveg and feq veg starters. Fish fry was really very good. Mains were suffient after good amount of starters. The desserts and specially moose , firni were delicious. A must visit place if you are in andheri seepz road.

Tunga international is a very well known restaurant for its hospitality, delicious food especially the Thalis and for its exotic cocktails.
This beautiful restaurant is located in Marol near holy family school. The place has both indoor and outdoor seating arrangement, where indoor is very small and outdoor is quite scenical .
The cocktails they serve is beautiful in presentation and comparatively stronger than what you find at other places.
I really loved the thali, I tried the FISH THALI, which included neer dosa, pompfret fry, fish curry, rice, sonekadi, sukha jhinga, a very unique type of garlic chutney, papad and gulab jamun to complete a delicious meal.
Chicken thali was quite heavy compared to the fish thali, as they served chapattis, sukha chicken, sonekadi, gulab jamun, Chicken gravy and many more things. One has to legit fast the whole day to complete the thali, the price is totally worth it.
If you have a huge appetite and love Indian thalis, then visit it right away.

Tunga bar is situated at a stone's throw away from my friends office so we decided to meet for a few drinks after office. It was relatively empty and we were sure of good service and it exactly turned out to be the same. Prawns is the key to try may it be in the form of starters or gravies they nailed all of them. Suraj had suggested some really good choices to us which probably made all the difference.

Visited this place for lunch no much rush and the ambience is also good. We ordered khichiya papad, a Cheese Tikka and Bhatti ka Paneer for starters. For main course cheese naan, butter roti and plain rotis along with Paneer lababdar the food quantity is good enough and pricing too seems to be light on pocket not really expensive. Taste was upto the mark. Would definitely love to visit again.

Tried the dahi ke kabab which was served with green chutney and some salad.
For mains daal makhani and makai dhingri paneer are good bets.
Rotis are served in portions of two.
So if you have a small appetite, refrain from ordering in multiple portions.
The servings are decent in quantity. The staff also lets you know well in advance if the portions would suffice or not.

One of the good old golden places to visit for seafood...you name it and they will have it. Honestly, no one will feel disappointed as they options in veg, chicken and mutton too. Place is good and so it the food and service
Tunga bar and restaurant is a lovely place to visit. They serve indian, chinese & continental food. Some of their cocktails and mocktails are worth trying which are potted parrot, purple dream and flamingo. For food my recommendation would be to try mostly indian as that has the largest share in their menu. They have limited options in desserts but we didn't really get till that stage as we we sorted with the starters and mains.
Visited here with a client while I was in Andheri for some work. I guess we made a good decision to visit after the work was over.
If you prefer coastal food or non veg in general, than you will find this a very interesting place.
Despite the fact that it is located in a premium property, pricing is very competitive.
We tried zafrani prawns, crispy ring fried squid and stuffed crab with a few drinks.
Couldn't find a flaws in either as far as taste and quality are concerned. Pricing too worked in our favour.
At the end wanted to satisfy our sweet tooth so went ahead with a chocolate brownie and liked it.
This is a good and inexpensive place in Tunga International hotel. Nice simple ambiance, quick service and good food. While majorly the menu is non-vegetarian, for us vegetarians too you will find good options. Paneer pollichatu is a must try. Drinks are available at fair prices and thus it makes this place worth a visit.
This is a casual dining place. Best to visit with friends or colleagues. It attracts mostly the working crowd who come here for a few drinks post work everyday.
On weekends the scenario is totally different as you will find more of families visiting here.
In either cases, this place has the potential of creating a wow experience for you.
The manager Santosh assisted us for our order. Knowing our slightly different preferences he customised the food for us which in my opinion was great.
We did spend a lovely sunday afternoon with our little bunch of people.
This is a very old place but newly renovated and it is nicely done.

This is one of my favorite go to places when I am around here. Totally in love with the best mutton and fish thali.
Competitive pricing followed with wow kind of a taste makes it perfect sense for any foodie to try out this place. Fish thali is the best what I will suggest to try.
For a price of 375 you have can get the best even thali in the city.
Freshness and taste of the fish was epic and the other components like curry, rice, chapati, sabzi etc and specially the sol kadi make it a full course meal.
Competitive price, finest quality and large quantity makes this thali number 1 on my list.
Food is just outstanding...must try the bhuna makai ka shorba, rajasthani bhindi, tandoori cheese tikka and paneer lababdar. Staff is amazing and very friendly, all in all, a great place to visit.
I visit here with my group of boys many times for drinks. Its basically all corporate crowd that visits here during weekdays. We were in a large group after office. This place has been our favorite one for a while now. You will find good crowd, top class food and very helpful staff. Its a very comforting place and we love visiting here.
Nothing better than enjoying a cricket match with friends along with some drinks. Tunga is a nice and known place to most of us. This restaurant is 1 of the 3 in Tunga hotel. The weather got pleasant and rum was out best friend. We got a good deal on booze. Had tried some starters mostly with a couple of msin course between all of us. Sea food is a must try. Fresh, delicious and low on cost.

Kaju kothimbir vadi :- Different type of kothimbir vadi made in a malwani style. It had pirces of cashew nuts, coriander and coconut.

Kung pao potato :- This is one of my favorite chinese starters which goes well with drinks of all types. The nuttiness of peanuts was the best part along with the overall spice.

Bhendi malwani curry :- It was the first time I tried bhindi in this form. The curry was made using coconut milk which was thick and rich in taste. Highly recommended with steam rice or even with chapati.

Rabdi :- Not a big fan of it but gave it a try. It was thick and not very sweet. Flavour of cardamom and almonds was awesome.

An ex colleague recently treated me at this place for his work promotion. It was time to celebrate so we made the most of the ongoing offers they had. Ordered a 3ltrs beer tower and got the second one at half the price which kept us going. When it came to food we tried, harimirch tandoori jhinga and crisp prawns chilly butter garlic. Quality of the sea food was just incomparable. Freshness could be easily felt. Harimirch jhinga was a tandoor dish which was quite spicy in the first bite. Slighlty tangy and spicy, what a combination. Moving to the other starter, large sized prawns in the best ever butter garlic sauce. The difference was that these were crisp on the outside yet tender on the inside. Right proportion of garlic with nice quality butter made this an epic starter. After sipping a lot of beer and feeling bloated we decided to share chicken kung pao rice. Made in a very authetic style with right ingredients, we ended our meal with a smile.
We got to try some high quality sea food at this beautiful place. My year long wish of having a lobster got fulfilled here. It was tender and full of spices. Other than that, the prawns were my favorite here.

Fish tikka lasooni: In this starter you will get nice flavour of garlic in marination which is done on fish. Flavour of garlic is very powerful and fish absorb it so well.
Macchi ki biryani: So this is basically fish biryani which has very good and fresh taste. Fish is of good quality. Rice is also very tasty and nice masala flavour.
Overall Experience Was Good. Will Recommend To Everyone.

Ordered home delivery at a friends place. Delivery was on time, food was hot and packaging was good. Quality of containers was good.

During our stay in Tunga, we were at this ground floor restaurant to enjoy the match. Not that we couldn't have seen it on the TV in our room, but watching it on a bigger screen with a few drinks always adds more fun to it. They got some good offers on alcohol with their world cup discounted offers and we saw a lot of people making the best use of it. We only had some starters and a few drinks and thoroughly enjoyed the rainy day with live match screening. Fortunately we got a seat of our choice with an advance reservation.
This is a resto bar in tunga international. You could visit here with friends or family for a hearty meal or grab some booze too. Not only are they fairly priced but the food is sonething which will make you fall in love with. The place looks simple but nicely designed. It is spacious but gets a bit crowded during evenings and specially a little more now a days I believe because of the cricket match. But in any situation their service is upto the mark and that's what I like the most.

Lovely starters, good portion size in each of them.
Loved the quality of fish and meat, very fresh.
Starters were tasty and we had them with a few drinks.

We were looking out for a venue for my 25th Wedding Anniversary party,. Have visted this restaurant for sea food many times. The food was amazing. Interacted with Ms khushboo in Tunga and she assisted us in finalising the deal as desired. The party hall ambience was too good. The spread was delicious as well. All our guests were delighted and enjoyed a lot. All arrangement and staff was good. Really recommend this party hall for small get together.

A Lovely Restaurant on the Ground Floor of the Tunga International Hotel Building in Andheri East that has a Very Small AC Section and a Large Non AC Section, both of which are well furnished and have a nice Restroom as well. Valet Parking is also available, which is good. But just like Tunga's other Restaurant on the 1st & 2nd floors called Something's Fishy, this place too specializes in Seafood and offers Malvani & Mangalorian Thalis as well, which is Very Good. They have Pomfret, Surmai, Prawns, Mutton & Chicken Thalis and we had the Surmai & Prawns Thalis which were Really Good. They offer an option of Chapatis or Neer Dosas and we opted for the Neer Dosas, which were Excellent. The Surmai & Prawns were Very Fresh and the Fish in the Curry as well as the Fried Fish was Very Tasty. The Solkadi in the Thalis was also good and they offer a Gulab Jamun for Dessert as well, making their Thalis a Complete Meal. We also had Bombil Fry for Starters along with Beer and ordered Appams as an Extra, which was Excellent as well. Service does take a little while and the Vegetable in both the Thalis was just Sautéed Onion with Mustard, which can hardly be called a Vegetable Dish.
Overall, a Nice Place to Savor Excellent Malvani & Mangalorian Food with Good Quantities and Reasonable Rates as well. A Full Bar Service also adds to the charm of enjoying your meal here.

Loved prawns BBQ and surmai goan dish, you'll love the mocktails (hot wired and breezy guava) too, the ambience was decent.
Amazing food, loved the crab soups and prawn thali. Amazing and chill atmosphere. Can go with friends and family also.
Tunga Kitchen and Bar restaurant is spread across a huge area and has different sitting space. One on the ground floor itself and other on second floor indoor.
The place is welcoming and different interior shade to it. Also, the place has a decent sitting table area of 10 tables around. The qiatwrs are easily available for approach and although they r not much aware of the menu items and it's preparations.
We ordered the Pomfret Tawa fry and UT was very small fish and had only three small fried pieces and it was not that good cooked too.
Followed up BY chicken Chatpata tikkas and this was very good marinated and juicy. The colour were also vibrant.
In the mains, we ordered veg fried rice and mushroom chilli and chicken Biryani. The rice were fragrant and the curry was freshly made to order.
The place had decent potions and good overall. The prices r steep.

I liked the food here. It's fresh and quick and the thali is delicious. Hand wash is on the outside, there's a veg and non veg section they're next door to each other.
They're apparently South Indian. Sometimes the card machine doesn't work when you sit in the ac section. It takes a minute. The food is excellent. The location is ideal and easy to reach.
