The food here is good but the best part is banana split.
This place is good for a family lunch or dinner as well as a hangout with friends.
No complaints with the place except the floor is congested.
Food was good. Its a simple place with a simple ambience. We just had snacks. PauBhaji was very yummy. Other items was also good. Not expensive also
9th November 2019. Lunched idli sambhar chutney and Ganga Jamuna fresh juice. Quick, good service. Decent food.
They have good south Indian food especially their sambhar is really nice.
Additionally their Pav bhaji is worth trying too. Service is pretty fast.
Its a nice, comfortable and cozy place. Good for dinner or lunch. The food quantity and quality is worth the price. Food items that we tried here: Manchow soup, veg crispy, cheese balls, corn tikkas, dry Manchurian, veg handi and veg kolhapuri, naan.
The Indian food was as tempting and delicious. The Chinese was good. The staff and the service was nice.
The restaurant located near to station. Quite large place and one of the finest option in this area for vegetarian crowd. Comfortable seating.
I tried:
#Tri_ Paneer Tikka: Dish contained two pieces each of -Paneer Tikka
-Paneer pahadi kebab
- Paneer Malai Tikka
#Daal khichadi: this was little disappointing for me as had very less amount of daal .
#Maysore masala Dosa: Again they put normal yellow potato vegetable inside dosa.
Shiv Sagar Is one of the best Veg restaurants around Mumbai they have been serving tasty veg food from many years and the quantity and quantity they have been serving has been brilliant a perfect family restaurant and quality veg food at Shiv Sagar reasonable price staffs are friendly and have been quick in their service overall 10/10 to this place.
I have been there before some days. Place was very nice and restaurant atmosphere is very peaceful as i was on weekdays at afternoon. Sitting arrangements are very comfortable and relaxed. The staff was very nice.
Food quality was very much good. I had ordered some paneer stuff for starter and the taste was very very good. Also the veg biryani had very nice smell as well as very tasty.
I recomend you to taste FONDUE PAW BHAJI at least once.
Things is that they will charge you approximately 28% tax in the form of Service Tax and GST.
Whenever go for hangouts at Churchgate Marine drive , stomach crave for some food
So visited here at "Shiv Sagar" which is situated at Veer Nariman Road Churchgate.
We ordered
1) Shiv Sagar Special Pav Bhaji in which they garnish bhaji with some dry fruits like cashew nuts, track etc. Taste was pretty good and testy.. Must try 😋
2) Singapore Noodle, taste was good and little spicy. 😋
After all done chocolate soap will be served with bill taste good 😋
Restaurant is clean and tidy there is also facility for alcohol and drinks.
Staff was good and cooperative.
Place is good for hangouts with family and friends and couple also welcome.
We will rate this place

Excellent food. Quality has been maintained over the years
Ambiance is okay . Food is just fantastic loved the taste must try
Pau bhaji taste excellent loved it , its near to church gate station , loved it
A good place for family dining must try this place to have pav bhagi and different type of Indian cuisine location is also good I recommend this place
At the golden edge of the city. Shiv Sagar not only focuses on delivering the best delicacies but it also an experience of great hospitality. Though being a south indian oriented restaurant it portrays a vital role in delivering other dishes in a unique manner. A big thumbs up for people how are visiting south mumbai and looking out for a descent and pleasing brunch or dinner.
Pocket friendly, nothing great with ambience but typical Indian food is delicious and also other cusins are tasty.. I would personally recommend Nachos, and dum biryani. for 2 ppl the quantity is sufficient and tasty as nothing..

A cool place to hangout with your friends or family. Good food, good and prompt service
Very cost effective and value for money. Nicly located between churchgate station and marin drive
Visited this place to grab a quick bite..
Ordered spring dosa along with ganga jamuna saraswati juice..
Spring dosa had dry veggies in it along with schezwan..
Quantity was good and dosa was tasty. Veggies were fresh as well.
Juice was combo of pineapple mosambi and 1 more. It was fresh and good.
Service was good and ambience was decent(non ac).
Overall a good experience. Would like to try other dishes soon...
Excellent ambience and delicious food ❤❤. Worth visiting. Pav bhaji is my favourite. Nachos is one of the best italian food available. Worth every penny.
We tried their
🔺 Pav bhaji Fondue- The best fusion of pav bhaji i ever had. The pav bhaji was lipsmacking and the cheesy taste was drooling me. And the bread pieces were topped with chilli flakes which added more taste!
🔺Chilli Garlic potato- It was spicy in taste and had lots of pepper and garlic in it! Quantity was good for 2 people.
Service was good!
Always a great place to stop by when in churchgate , food and service Neve disappoints me. The pav bhaji is an all time favorite it's amazing.
No doubt, this is one of the best restaurant among all the southindian restaurants in churchgate.place is too small but our group always enjoy here.
Chilling out here is always a great experience. As ipl season is on so just grabbed a beer and having fun with friends.#goodfood#grtambience#superstaff#supermanager#
This place is very easy to locate, just near churchgate station Its a very nice place for the people who love vegetarian and who love the veg food e.g. Pav bhaji etc. If you eat the food prepared my this hotel then you will forgot every other hotel. It's an unadoreable place. I would recommend you to visit this place. The staff is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable

One of the best places in town for pav bhaji....nice cosy place.....good food ...good service...had a great experience.do visit this place for it's pav bhaji and south Indian if you hapoen to be in town.
This restaurant is one my best food joint since childwood.
Enjoying food with a very cheerful ambience and pleasant weather makes the food more tasty.
This place is some like that only. The qualality of food is superb and too amazing. The food is pure veg and its too good and nice.
Staring from mocktails to deserts all of them are too good.
In mocktails we had blue lagoon and mojjito. Both of them were too good and awesome.
All the starters and main course are too good and awesome. Give a try to all of them.
Then we had oreo shake.
All the things were good and nice. Give a try .
Amaaazinggg Pav Bhaji and some really good dosas too. A good food joint for some quick snacks and at a lovely location, just off Marine drive.
Tasty food & myriads of vegetarian delicacies are prominent when it comes to this restaurant. Make sure when you visit the restaurant, you order everything at one go. As, the service time is little slow especially on weekends.
What to try?
Veg. Quesadillas
Nice food & Services. I was there with family at late night we are last customer but still they are very polite and serve us best .. nice food also .
Shiv Sagar is located very near to Churchgate station. Went there with our friend & as we were not that hungry we simply ordered for Pav Bhaji & Idli. Jain food is also available. Pav bhaji was delicious & spicy to taste. They also serve alcohol.
A very casual place.. perfect for a family dinner!
I recently visited the place few days ago..pav bhaji here is just amazing... great experience. Must try place
Actually one of the best Nachos and really tasty food items. The service is okayish but that's not even a reason for a star less. 5 star experience. Really Great to be in such a place. Definitely not a one time visit.
I am not a very big fan of these udupi kind of outlets where all you can order is sabzi roti , dosa etc. However, since I was chilling out at Marine drive, and had no energy to walk any further, decided to eat at Shiv sagar.
As you enter, there is a small outdoor seating, but you will be compelled to sit inside in the blissful cold love that AC gives you, thanks to the humidity. The indoor seating is cramped, it is an effort to sit and get out of your seat. You will be mistakenly nudging people's elbows while you move. The washroom needs to be kept clean.
I ordered beer with which I got free chakna (yayyyyy) and my family called for cheese nachos and very kofta. Unexpectedly, the food turned out to be superb. I did underestimate this place. The service is prompt and the place is buzzing with people so there isn't a dull moment . will definitely visit again !
Had thread paneer. It was good. Its chinese kind of starter with soya sauce base. Quantity was heavy for just two. Dont need to order dinner once you order this starter. The waiters were friendly and polite. Good ambience.
I once dine here during my visit of Marine Drive. This place is good for veggie people, have lots of options. I visited with one of my friend.
I ordered
1. Manchow soup
2. Matar Paneer
3. Dal Tadka
4. Jeera RIce
5. Mix veg Raita
All dishes are very delicious. The staffs are very humble. The service is very fast.
So i read the reviews which were not great, and was reluctant to dine in here . However, its proximity to marine drive and Rustom ice cream made me try this place. Well, my first impression was not good since their washroom is not well maintained. (Quite a few will agree with me when i say the cleanliness of washroom is directly proportional to the whole doing experience) . the restaurant is not spacious and the seats are not that comfortable.
However, I must say I was mighty impressed with their food. The nachos with cheese and salsa dip was oozing cheese sauce ...yum yum... Not a very big fan of sabzi roti at restaurants, however , the veg kofta here was delicious. It had generous amounts of matar (peas ) and the roti was soft and well cooked . we called for another portion of the veg kofta. Definitely a treat for vegetarians. (Heard they have mini pav bhaji, will try this one next time ). The location ....marine drive ...is the best part ... And after dinner , you could head to Rustom s for ice cream... (I know the review is for shiv sagar, just letting you guys know more advantages of the location ;))
The place is quite decent, liked the ambiance here.
The food is good, the service is quick.
I would recommend the morning breakfast items
The idli and medu vada are a must try.
Very friendly staff... the triple schezwan rice was just as we like it... spicy, crispy and tasty. Pav bhaji and masala papad was also good. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking for a quick bite at a reasonable cost.
Great food.Great ambience.Only thing I didnt like was that the quantity of food was a bit less as per the price charged and the service was slow.Overall a good experience

VFM : 8/10
USP : Good Fast food with amazing Pav Bhaji and South Indian.
It was a weekday morning and had to find a place to eat something just after lunch. The service is pretty fast and food is very tasty.
What we ordered :
Pav Bhaji : 8/10
Dosa : 9/10 (Super Sambhar)
Idli : 9/10
Their dosas are delicious!! Especially their masala dosa and cheese masala dosa! I do like their French Fries as well.. Their faaloda was very weird, not like how I’ve normally had faloodas.
The best thing about Shiv Sagar is their dosas! I go there mostly to have their dosas! 😁
This is a famous food joint near to marine drive. We went all the way from Bangalore to taste its authentic pav bhaji. Ordered cheese pav bhaji and it was so yummy.
Food: 4.5
Ambience: 3
Cost: 3.5
Very good food. I liked their Palak Paneer. The rotis are also very good. Pav Bhaji tastes good but it is too fine a paste. Overall it is a fine place to visit if you want veg food
Everytime that I visit Marine Drive (and if you know me that is my favorite place in Mumbai) this is the place that I look to for satisfying my hunger pangs 😉
This outlet of Shiv Sagar is walking distance from the Churchgate station and hardly 2-3 mins away from the Queen's necklace (Marine drive). Therefore the location is very apt and easily approachable.
Menu offers a wide variety of options to choose from and during my latest visit I tried my all time favorite which I would highly recommend trying
~ Pav Bhaji and
~ Neer Dosa (which is made from rice water)
Also the place is open till midnight so I case you are in that area and wondering what to do about the growling happening in the stomach then think no further and go ahead to this place.
Some amazingly delicious south indian food is a feature of this restaurant. Its hard to get tables here, specially on sundays. So highly recommended to go little early there on Sundays. Go for idly chilly, mysore sada dosa, neer dosa, pav bhaji, pizza.
Service-4/5
Taste-4/5
Ambience 3/5
Great place for some vegetarian food nice ambience great place , good food and it has a bar as well for the one who need to have a drink . Cheers great place for vegetarian food
Shiv sagar is one of the places I have always visited while growing up. The menu has changed a lot since than. New dishes were added to suit the customer taste without loosing the essence of the old ones.
If you ever feel like cheating on your diet or indulge in some scrumptious food this should be your go to place.
Do try the cheese #pavbhaji and the cream roasted garlic cheese potato.
The food is truly appetising.
P.S. try going there during the non rush hours.
It's an amazing place to hog on .You can sit there as long as you wish .Staff is polite. Prices aren't that high. You will feel comfortable.
Review
FOOD
1 Pav bhaji
Delicious finger licking pav bhaji. Not too spicy not too sweet . Perfect to taste. It had thick bhaji and was served with soft bread roll(pav🍞).
2- Dal tadka and steamed rice.
The rice was cooked so perfectly that you can eat up entire rice 🍚 without even trying the curry. But, when you will try the curry you will not be able to resist yourself from eating that .

Being a south indian, I was skeptical about finding a good south indian dish here. If a restaurant can make sambhar and chutney like in south india, then they can make good south indian food I believe.
I took a couple of my friends here because they had never tried the neer dosa and that's one south indian dish which I feel is not as popular as it should be. I was really hoping this place would leave us with a good experience and I was a happy man when I came out. The sambhar and chutney were perfect. Just like any darshini in Bangalore. The neer dosa itself should've been a little thinner but it wasn't bad at all.
Food here is good. Nothing extraordinary about this place. It's pretty clean and the service is prompt. I had the sizzling brownie here and that was really good. Apart from that nothing here is really that great.
This place is unique because it is one of the few joints in Mumbai serving South Indian and alcohol. Food is good here. The place has a ground floor seating as well as a mezzanine floor. The issue with this place is parking and waiting time for the table.
OK Food is good Ambience also good. But more than that service is excellent and unmatched,Crispy Vada,What a pav bhaji,Shahi Paneer & Hakka noodles
I visited this place with my mom and had the most amazing experience here. The Chinese food is just brilliant. I had paneer chilli here, and they serve the best and softest Paneer I've ever had. I also recommend having the butter naan over there. It is just amazing!
Visited Shivsagar churhgate today with 15 person . Tried paneer pahadi tikka it was excellent. Veg kholhapuri and paneer peshwari both excellent. Service was prompt. Enjoyed a lot wish to visit again soon
very good service.happy to order thru zomato
Location - Conveniently located along a main road.
Ambiance - It is congested. When you go to upper level, in all probability you will bang your head on the construction beam. They have protection so it might not injure you but still makes you uncomfortable.
Service - Prompt and efficient.
Food - Good. We had Pav bhaji and it was good. Fresh Lime soda was good as well.
Price - Expensive
Parking - Could be a challenge
Very pathetic service no proactiveness in staff. Very slow service not worth not recommended
An authentic place to go for amazing pav bhaji. I have never had anything like it. They are super friendly in there and the food is tasty and cheap. I will return upon my next visit to Mumbai.
The vibe is amazing and the place is cozy. The staff is well mannered, polite and attentive. They offer a wide variety of cuisines and food options. The food was quite good, except the Italian menu. As it's usually quite busy during dinner time, you might have to wait a bit longer for your food to arrive. Other than that a good and decent place to have dinner with your friends and family
Amazing Food! They have a legacy which very few can match..original mumbai flavors that are sure to make you happy. Do try the pav bhaji, dosa and garlic bread with cheese. Superb service as well however don't expect very good ambience. The place is pretty old but you surely won't be disappointed
Nice Place right next to Nariman Point & Churchgate station.
The food was worth the money, the quantity was good. Ordered Malai methi matar, corn sabji with makai roti & also masala papad.
Also forgot bout the lemon coriander soup. The best out of all. Lemon & Coriander was just simply amazing
This is a family restaurant located near Nariman point. The ambience is spacious and hygenic. The place is well maintained. The menu is affordable and pocket friendly. The service is also quick. The food and drinks over here is really delicious.
I had the following:
Paneer chilly
Combination Rice
Mojito
Black forest special
All the about dishes were served fresh and were well cooked. This restaurant is really budget friendly.
Food quality is amazing.
Quantity is also Good.
Service of the Staff is also Fast ,polite.
Prices are quite More than reasonable but as per Service, quality is Okay.
Drinks available & Pure vegeterain restaurant.
5 minutes walking from Marine lines & Churhgate railway station.
Lots to choose from, fantastic food and service and cheap prices. We came back to eat there all three days we were in Mumbai. Highly recommended!!
This is a pure veg restaurant that serves alcohol. That's quite unique.
It was a busy place on a Sunday night when we visited. Experimented with a new kind of starter, which tasted ok (image attached - pumpkin + cheese + cherry). The paneer starter was fantastic. But the biryani & buttermilk were quite disappointing :( hence, the 3 stars.⭐
The ambience was also pretty dim. 🔅
An excellent option for vegetarians for delicious food. The restaurant is just 5 mins away from marine drive. The ambience is good but there are few renovations going on. This restaurant has been my favourite for vegetarian options since 5 years.
Shiv Sagar is famous for its cocktails and appetizers. It’s right next to wankhade stadium and Churchgate station.
It’s a veg restaurant with many many varieties. We always visit SS for our usual cheese nachos with mexican beans (chef’s kiss). This time we also had their pav bhaji and a normal cheese nachos which was as good as the special one but would still recommend the special one.
Today i went for a lunch with my family to Shiv Sagar Veg Restaurant at Churchgate. The restaurant has many outlets in Mumbai this was the one outlet we visited because my friend recommended me so the staff of the restaurant is very nice they asked us what we will want but we told them to recommend us the food.
We Ordered in Mocktails was Fruit Punch it was a mixture of fruits and icecream it was thick but very much tasty and the other one mocktail we ordered was Moito it was refreshing soda based mocktail consists apple in it and the presentation of moito was very good.
In Starters we ordered Paneer Seekh Kebab it was well presented and it was kind of rolls in which mashed paneer was stuffed we also ordered Oven Roasted Cheese Garlic Bread in which they gave us five pieces of Garlic Bread with tomato ketchup it was too good it taste.
In MainCourse we ordered was Cheese Pav Bhaji in which mashed potato bhaji was their and two butter pav was served and it was scrumptious and we also ordered Paneer Tikka Masala with Butter Cheese Garlic Naan it was the red gravy and the fresh pieces of paneer added in it and the Naan was too good and cheesy.
Ambience was proper like family restaurant they have two dine-in section one the normal once and thr upstairs once and it is the proper veg restaurant in South Bombay with affordable prices.
We'll Surely recommend you to visit.

Thos were really superb and properly maintained.. Specially I like the mocktails it was just like heaven to me ...
We've gotta hand it to Shiv Sagar restaurant... The meals get 5/5 star 🌟 with nearly 100 menu items.. There is something new for everyone at this modern Troy business...
Highly recommended place..
Great ambiance...
Hope to visit again...
A small hotel with about 10 tables, it seems. It was crowded when I visited at 8.30 pm. After 15 min, wait, I got the table. I have ordered Anar juice, roti, Veg kolhapuri, and salted buttermilk. Juice and butter milk are good. Curry is average. Overall, it is ok as I don't have much options nearby.
Yesterday I have visited Shiv Sagar. It is very amazing and wonderful place and setting arrangement was really good and food experience was also amazing.
Let come to the food point I had
1. Strawberry milk shake.
2. Royal blue.
3. Veg spring roll.
4. Paper cheese dosa.
5. Schewan fried rice.
All dishes was delicious and lovely taste.
And food quantity was also good and food preparation also.
Ambiance food and service 5 on 5
Located near marine drive and has ac as well as non AC tables.
Indian restaurant and food taste is good.
Weekend time you will find waiting queue.
We had veg kolhapuri and roti and tasted nice. As compared with other near by restaurant you can find good food with less rate
