Good food. Had discovered this restaurant last year when I had come for the marathon. Was looking for some simple food, this place had very good sadya. Besides have tried the chicken, fish, Kerala parathas which were good.
I am a sucker for Biryani, rather anything that has chicken in it. This place has a special type of Biryani called the Talasheri Biryani or Kerala Style Biryani is simple language. I just lovvvvveeedd it to death mannn... Also Chicken 65 was sooo yum, crispy, not at all rubbery. I highly recommend you going here. It is a Malayali Restaurant you will find many dishes from their cuisine
If you wanna enjoy the best food at the best price then this is the place. The services are awesome and the ambiance is all a taste of old school. The Keralan food here is the best.
Food was nice squid must try Malabar maratha very nice chicken in mix platter was bit dry need to use Tikka they need to work on service its bit slow
One of the best places to go for Indian food! The staff is really friendly and helpful. From walking in the door and being greeted by employee, seated and drink order taken, was maybe 5 minutes. Being Indian, I like the fact that the food is absolutely authentic and not full of unnecessary spices. You won't be disappointed, this place servers variety of Indian as well as indo Chinese dishes. Probably one of the best eating experience for a full course meal. Meal was served hot and excellent taste.

Didn't get to try much. But this place has variety of options and suitable for people who want to try some delicacies of Kerala. First we ordered Reshmi kebab which was very soft and juicy in taste. Then we ordered some mutton masala fry and egg fried rice which was good too. Overall a good experience wld like to try more stuffs from there in future๐.
From Appam to Fish curry and Malabar Biryani ... you name the kerala dish and you can have it here
Fair rates for authentic keral cuisine and friendly staff who will help and suggest you
Walkable distance from CST station
Today, I visited this restaurant with my friends for lunch. The ambience and overall sitting space is pretty basic but the taste of food was quite impressive. It was raining all day; so, we ordered coffee and lemon tea. I loved the smoothness of coffee. Then, we had paneer masala, malabar porotha, dry chicken fry biryani kerala style.
The presentation was very ordinary but they gave pappad and salad in complimentary. I loved the taste of biryani which was balanced with flavors. The porotha was soft and hot, the gravy of paneer masala was delicious but the paneer could have been little more soft.
All in all the quantity and quality was suiting the affordable price of menu. ๐โ๏ธ

Nice place in one of the husting and bustling lanes of Fort..
Had Chicken Kerala Special Curry with a hint of coconut flavor (as it's speciality of Kerala), Spicy and savory Surmai fry, with fluffy appams and paratha. Mutton Biryani filled the void with it's tenderness and deliciousness. And finally fresh lime soda for digestion !
Worth a place to visit with family, good staff, nice sizzlerrs options available, clam place all food options in menu are worth a eat. Evening dinner is good to be scheduled here
Wanna spend some time with family and friends must visit fountain plaza where you will get the best varity of food and I assured you will enjoy
Nice restaurant with good food and fair prices. Safe for foreign people to eat here. We live in Holland and had lunch and dinner several times. We always enjoyed the food and had no problems. The staff is polite and friendly. If you stay at Residency Hotel, just go to Fountain Plaza for a good meal.
A good experience for a family dining and yes you would love to hang on this place the taste of food was good and the staff was also well managed and disciplined over all a good experience
When i worked at Fort, Fountain Plaza had been my go to place whenever i wanted to treat myself to something good for lunch.ย
An old fashioned family styled restaurant where they offer Indian, seafood and South Indian food.
Their offering of fish is always nice and fresh along with the curry they give for lunch.
The best dish i would recommend here would be : Chicken Biryani (Kerela Style). Its made with a lot of onion base and a whole chicken leg/breast piece in it. Its so good that one person can eat a complete portion by himself/herself with easy.
They also offer a special kerela Sadhya, for all south indian food fans out there. Though veg, this is an experience as well.
A very reasonable and easy on pocket restaurant in fort cst area ,i had malabari parotha, paneer makhanwala and dal khichadi it tasted really well and i also had their regular surmai tawa fry but could'nt take its picture it was the fresh and reasonable surmaj tawa fry i ever had..
Fountain plaza has to be one of the best restaurants that serves authentic Kerala cuisine. I have been to this restaurant innumerable number of times & it has never disappointed me with respect to food quality. If you are vegetarian & want to try this restaurant then I would recommend trying their sadhya which is basically a type of Kerala thali served on banana leaf. Please note veg sadya is only available for lunch. For non vegetarian & in specific sea food lovers this a place which will not disappoint you. I love their pomfret fry which is well cooked & taste is amazing, chicken 65 or chicken sukka are some of the dishes that can be tried along with chicken akbari and if you are in a kerala restaurant then you ought to try the malbari parotha which is absolutely yummy. Overall itโs a great restaurant to try Kerala cuisine & itโs not too heavy on pocket.
As a person born in Kerala, I have always loved a good sadya. The Plaza's lunch sadya had over 10 dishes along with rasam, payassam and curd curry. The portions were huge and lip smacking good. Along with that we had the fried ravas, and pomfret. Both of these, while not that best I've had, were still really good. The price of 6 was about 1.5k, which was very cheap.
Best chicken tasted till now ,best hygiene , service waiters are polite and pocket friendly too their ambience is also too best its 15 min away from cst
The place was lit . There was a friendly atmosphere to hangout with friends (especially couples). The biryani are way better than they used to be. Everything here is worth a try. My personal favourite, the chicken handi is a gem of a dish. An awesome place to create moments with family and friends. Then there's mango milkshake, the perfect dessert to finish things off.
This place was pending on my list since a long time ...on a holiday this place had all it's tables occupied by 1245 hrs... Ordered for malabari paratha appam Kerala curry n surmai fry all of it was tasty..it's a quick eat n leave type place
Decor is simple service is quick will go again to try some more dishes

Ordered Chicken and Fish Malbari biryani and Surmai Fish Biryani. You can also try an appam with curry For desserts, ordered the Caramel custard which is creamy.
Family restaurant; good for Kerala non-veg; cheap pricing, A/C and non-A/C try fish fry surumai....

Craving for Malabar cuisine this is the place to go..
Hidden gem. Yummy seafood. You have to order just right.
Be it Malabar Paratha, Malabar fish fry masala, crab masala, Malabar papad.. or Kerela tea that they serve..
Bored with the regular south or North Indian food and want to try new cuisine, try out this place with regional Kerala dishes..
Even vegetarian thali is good..
Food & Quantity is delicious . Simply loved it. As this place is located at Fort i thought the price will be higher but it was at minimum and affordable.

Another Hidden Gem in SoBo. Food is really great here also for veggies ๐. This is an awesome old Malabari restaurant known for the non veg and seafood. Chicken Sukka with Paratha is the show stopper.
Loved the foodโคGood ambience + service

Good food, and a great simple meal experience. A perfect place for anyone nearby who wants a simple thali. Even for a person who hates fish, the cooking just makes it a highly enjoyable meal, with perfect level of southern feel to this mumbaikar.
last Sunday we actually went for Tea around 3pm, but end up eating fried rice and pizza too.
reasonably priced . Tea was served in big steel glasses. friendly staff.
Pretty good place for non veg lovers. The best dish was chicken Akhbari. You must try that. Similar to chicken do pyaza. The mutton seekh was delicious. Worth a try. The malbari parotha was good with any gravy.
Not that great for the vegans. Some good starters but not that good main course.
But yes worth a try restaurant.
Being from south India, I must say this is one of the very few places in Mumbai where I've had what felt like authentic south Indian food. What's more, even the waiters speak Malayalam.
What we had:
Fish fry (3/5) {also, it came with a curry with bang-on flavours, I'd give the curry a 5/5}
Chicken curry (3/5)
Egg curry (5/5)
Idiyappam (5/5)
Appam (7/5)
Today went here. It's located near CSMT station walkable 15 minutes. Special keral food restaurant. Clean and good ambience. You will get all kerala veg as well as non veg food here.Servive is also very good. I have ordered kerala sadhya Thali one of my favourite thalis. It was served on banana leaf.Taste us food, liked the food speciality of this thali is the rice that is served name kerala matta rice it's taste is just awesome.
Fountain plaza is a hidden gem located in fort. Parking maybe a problem but after 8 it's manageable.
The place has huge seating, Ac as well as non ac section.
It's known for its South Indian & seafood cuisine.
Starter's is their speciality
Ask the waiter to help you out with the selection of starter's.
We were recommended
Prawns Oyster Dry 4.5/5
Chicken Crispy 4/5
Chicken hot garlic 3.5/5
In prawns, not only quality but also quantity was excellent. Not just the prawns but also the rest of the starter's were a total hit.
For mains we opted for chicken Akbari & Tawa along with famous Malabari Parotha. Would suggest to try parothas instead of the normal available Rotis. Gravies were also lipsmacking.
Also ordered the chicken pot rice which was excellent in taste.
Although the Freshlime soda did disappoint abit but
overall it was a great experience with the cuisine & service.
Fountain plaza is located just a little away from CST station. The food was just brilllant . Very pocket friendly. Worth every rupees. A must visit if you are in South Mumbai.

After reading a few reviews on Zomato i decided to visit this place. Located in the busy lanes of Fort, i doubt on your own you will discover it. Thanks to Zomato i came to know about this place.
The place has average interiors, 2 sections, ac and non ac. The Ac one is much better than the other. For starters we ordered the following
- Prawns in oyster sauce. Amazing is the word. The prawns was fresh, juicy and the oyster sauce was totally delicious. The combo worked very good. Highly recommended
- Surmai fry. The fish was very fresh and succulent. The flavor was amazingly fresh and it was a delight to have. The flavoring, softness, size of the fish everything was perfect.
- Malabar papad - its a papad from kerala and was very good and fresh. It was crispy and has a different taste to it than the regular one. I quite liked it.
For mains we ordered surmai in coconut gravy and neer dosa. The main course wasn't as great as the starter. The coconut flavor in d gravy was missing and the tangyness in d curry was missing too.
Neer dosa was average too, with it being more like a regular dosa rather than a neer dosa.
Overall had a great dinner and wouldn't mind visiting it again

Food was really nice with quick service. A must visit place for kerela style food lovers.
Special Thanks to Mr. Ashraf.
First visited the place a couple of years ago and the place hasn't changed much with time...
Always a go to place in Fort when considering a Keralite meal, though it serves Chinese & Mughlai...
The ambience is nothing to go by, looks like a normal restaurant but the food is simply amazing... It's hygienic...
Had Surmai Fry, Chicken Sukka, Malbar Porotha, Prawn Biryani and Rabri Malai... And it gives no room for any complaints...
Have previously tried the Mughlai nd Chinese, which does require some touch-ups...
Overall amazing...!
Authentic malabar cuisine, nice ambience and staff behaviour and good delivery service. Ordered numerous times and went there 3-4 times and never ever got disappointed.
Malabar paratha, chicken handi, matka rabdi and seafood dishes are recommended.
Itโs a very famous place in fort. I ordered chicken gravy with malayali parotha and idiyappam (hope I spelled it right) and fish fry. It tastes sooooooo gooodd. The pricing is very pocket friendly, I am surely going to visit again.
Quality of food is really good and service also .Try fried rice with paneer gravy really good . Thai curry , Oriental veg crispy . Good place .
Came to this place because had been very hungry and craving chicken curry. So I walked into this place skeptical, but which later turned out great. Ordered some Kerala Parathas and chicken do pyaza. Quantity and stuff both were very lovely. The manager had a beaming smile too. I finished full with caramel custard which was perfect. Would come back for more. Thanks so much.

Looking for some good authentic non vegetarian Kerala food ..Fountain plaza is the place to be in . One of the best places in fort serving Kerala food. They have both the option AC and non AC joint ...Place is generally full during lunch hours as the same is frequented by office goers ...But the food is worth the wiat....
It's a fast moving restaurant wherein you would be served anything that you order at the earliest. No huge waiting to get your order. For daily and lonely eaters , you can order fish thali , half biryani or a chicken dish and the super tasty malabar Paratha. If you are lucky you get payasaam complimentary . The "plaza ela sadhya" On banana leaf unlimited, takes you back to South india. Very nice service and courteous. The Non-veg delicacy is so much famous and very well prepared. Must visit.
The restaurant impressed me with its rich flavors and aromatic spices, capturing the true essence of Kerala cuisine. The friendly staff and attention to detail made the dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for an exceptional taste of Kerala, this restaurant is a must-visit.
Visiting this restaurant for many years. This is my favourite restaurant when we visit CST.
The food here tastes really good and comes in ample portion size.
We ordered kerala dishes in this hotel. The food taste and quality is very good. But the prices are very huge. Actually they are maintaining two sections in the restaurant one is general and another one is for the family section. Many tables were already reserved. The family section maintenance is very good. They displayed the LED screen in the restaurant and played visuals in what they served to customers in the restaurant. You can visit this hotel to enjoy the tastes.
It is one of the authentic South Indian Kerala Hotels in Mumbai in the Fort area - close to CSMT Railway Terminus. The base gravy for each and every curry is really tasty & delicious.
It is good to visit along with family & friends too.
You'll get long tables for large groups too.
Whenever I go there, Each & every time I eat Appam which is my favourite there.
Other than that Banana leaf Meals is one of the best. Then, parotta, mutton & chicken biriyani kerala style, and most of chicken curries, veg kohlapuri, chicken afghani are dishes I've tried there.
One good South Indian restaurant in Mumbai City. Visited here for dinner. Authentic Kerala biriyani was well prepared. Hyderabadi dum biriyani was also good. Overall, a go to spot for good food in Mumbai :)
Excellent place for authentic south Indian especially Kerala food
Must Try place for south indian sea food lover....
Fish was so fresh and no smell and preparation of curry and fry fish was amazing, we tried kerala style prwans fry, surmai curry, appam, iddiyappam and kerla parotha. Everything was delicious..
This is one of the hidden gems in the small street at Fort. The fish preparations are very popular over her.
Fish Fry, butter chicken with soft Malabar paratha, prawns fry are some of the dishes which I liked. The staff is also efficient and will help you in selecting your favourite dish.
The service in this restaurant is very fast as they and the food is very tasty,we had the kerela parotha which tasted and felt like a proper kerela parotha,we had it with a special kerela chicken gravy which was very good too,it wasn't tht spicy and went well with the parotha,we also ordered the chicken 65 which was just tooo good, the chicken pieces were crispy from outside and extremely soft from inside, the coating was very tasty. We also got the Surmai fry which had a tasty masala taste and it was fried to the perfect texture not too dry and hard but not too soft it was cooked in balance, but the fish wasn't tht fresh. For desert we had their caramel pudding and falooda both of them were very good and the caramel pudding didn't have a eggy taste. They also give diced onions mixed in dahi with kerela papad with a tasty orange chutney and some fried sweet chillies. The price was very good for the quality of the food.Would definitely recommend going there.
One of the best Kerala Restaurants in Mumbai and they are serving best Kerala Sandhya(South Indian Thali) as well.
I've tried biryani and chicken 65. For the biryani they are using small biryani rice and masala is okay. one of the best biryani I had from Mumbai.
Chicken 65 is very crispy and it comes with bone and boneless.
Highly recommended place in CST side Mumbai.
Ordered the usual thali with fish fry and a chicken biriyani , money well-spent. Must visit for authentic Kerala cuisine.
