ROOTS OF INDIA
Roots of India is one of the finest place in Andheri which gives you an option of Ala Carte as well as Buffet. The place has ample amount of seatings with nice & helpful staffs. We went for a brunch and the place didn't disappointed us at all.
For the Veg starters we had ordered, "Shangai Rolls", "Veg Balls with Schezwan Sauce", "Achari Paneer Tikaa", "Beetroot Ki Tikki". All the starters were super delicious in taste, the quantity was pretty good. From all these starters are personal favourite was "Veg Balls with Schezwan Sauce" because it was spicy and it tasted delicious and our second favourite was "Achari Paneer Tikka" the was pretty big in size & it was soft & nicely cooked."Beetroot ki Tikki" was something different we tried at Roots of India.
For the Non-veg starters, we had ordered "Dohara Seekh Kebab", "Yellow Mirchi Chicken Tikka", "Chicken Chilli", "Fish Kurkure". All the Non-veg starters was so awesome in taste all were spicy & nicely marinated & cooked. All the starters are our personal favourite.
For the Main Course, there were loads of loads of varieties available from which we had, "Veg Kofta", "Dhaba Di Dal", "Green Peas Pulav", "Indian Breads". In Indian Breads it includes Laccha Paratha & Naan. Veg Kofta was delicious but Dhaba Di Dal was little sweet in taste.
In beverages, Roots of India serves "Kokum Punch" as a welcome drink. Apart from that we had ordered "Adult Shake", "Cosmopolitian", & "Mandarian Monk".
Adult Shake:- It is a Whiskey based cocktails in which they add Nutella and Vanilla Ice-cream. Its a deadliest combination ever and its taste was very unique.
Cosmopolitian:- Cosmopolitian is a Vodka based cocktail in which they add Triple Sec, Cranberry Juice and Lemon Juice. Its very refreshing and the taste of cranberry is just awesome.
Mandarian Monk:- It is a Mocktail in which they add Orange, Coconut Concotion & Vanilla Ice-cream.
Last but not the least, here comes the dessert part. In the buffet there were "Sevaiyaan", "Gulab Jamun", " Assorted Pastries", "Vanilla Ice-cream" & "Tuti Fruity Ice-cream".
Superb outlet in marol.Loved the place and the ambience.Roots of india is one of the finest place for buffet lunch. The music was soo lovely and the ambience was superb. The staffs were soo good. Helped us to select the perfect starter. The food is reallyy soo good
Sanghai rolls and veg balls with schezwan sauce was sooo delicious. The beetroot tikki and panner tikki is recommended. The welcome koccum drink garnished with mint leaves was soo relieving. The buffet platter was yummyyy...Much recommended place
ROOTS OF INDIA!!
Walking in, one immediately feels welcome, with an airy ambience, light lounge music and plenty seating.
Wait staff, Mr. Aqueel has been a great help, too.
A little glimpse into my experience:
1. Shanghai Roll: a re-christened Spring Roll, cut up inch thick. Made fresh and served hot. Works well as a bar snack!
2. Veg Ball Schezuan Style: not as spicy as I would have liked, but the making of the dish was fancy.
3. Achari Paneer Tikka: dish well made, though the paneer could have been softer. Again, a little spice would have helped.
4. Chicken Chilli: soft, fresh chunks of chicken cooked indo - Chinese style, was zingy and more of my spice palette.
5. Veg Kofta: soft, melt in mouth Kofta, rich, thick gravy was a treat in itself.
6. Dhabe Di Dal: fancified Dal Makhani, had a rich, creamy texture, went well with assorted Indian breads.
7. Exotic Veg Oyster Noodles: had an assortment of veggies, cooked to perfection.
Last but not the least, saving the best for the last,
8. 'Adult Shake' 😍: Whiskey, Nutella, ice cream and Hazelnut Syrup. Oh God, heaven in a glass! This cocktail was a One Hit K.O. for me, since the ice cream and Nutella made it sweet. Guess we all know what a sweet tooth does to alcohol 🙈🙈🙈
When I saw it on the menu, somewhere, 12 years old me was screaming. 😜
Verdict: a good place to go to, if you're in the mood for a relaxed meal, plenty of options on the menu to choose from. One of the better experiences I've had, in recent times. Would be back soon. 😇
A great place to Hogg on!
They have a great and cozy Ambiance, a big seating area, live screening, kind hearted staff, and yes, buffet options too (Lunch)...
They have all the things what you are looking for in a restaurant!
The quality of the food is amazing, all the dishes were well cooked and properly presented which was making it more tempting to try 😍
The drinks, they have some amazing combination for both Cocktails and mocktails....my personal Fav was the Margarita which I tried!
Buffet was soo good! It included everything, right from salad, fruits ,starters, main course and till the desserts which had a Paan pastry which was next to amazing!
They have alot of discount offers too!
A great place to be in if you're thinking to be in a party!

I recently visited the place called ROOTS OF INDIA which is situated in marol Naka. It is 7 to 8 minutes walking distance from marol naka metro station.
As we step in we were welcomed by welcome drink strawberry delight and refreshing mocktail and cocktails
such as:
1 lichi lemon grass
2 Dark Night
3Tells of Twilight
4 little miss subshine
We were delighted by Indian style main course with species and lots of flavors, extremely impressive for a Non-vegetarian lover.
The menu has a vast range of veg as well as non veg cuisine.
Then the starters start with Chicken Tikka,Chicken Black Papper,Yellow Mirch Chicken Tikka etc. Which was freshly cooked and served.
Then the main course was served in the form of buffet system which was too amizing. It contain of Chicken Kadai and Mutton Hara Masala which was full of thick greavy and the hands on flavours was too good.
For desert there was Gulab Jammun , a unique dish called as FIRNI, ice cream and pastery.
I’d love to visit the place again. You can go with your friends, family, partner or whosoever you wish to. Do try their famous Fish oyster.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Roots of india, like the name defines the indian cuisine is very well served here. Their hospitality is really nice. They served us with a welcome drink which was strawberry delight. They also served us detox water after the welcome drink.
They also have a section for bar which serves cocktails and mocktails. They even have offers going on through out the week.
Mocktails -
Dark night- It was a mixture of black currant and grape juice with a mix of black pepper.
Cocktails-
Long island ice tea- We all know long island ice tea is a mixture of 5 white spirits topped with lemon juice and cola.
They have buffet on all days where they provide
1 Green salad
2 fruit salad
3 Chicken amchuri salad
4 chinese kimchii
5 corn chat
*Veg /nonveg soup*
Ran paya shorbha (non-veg)
Veg manchaw soup
*Veg starter*
Baby corn chilly- They are perfectly tossed with barbequed babycorn with green chillies, giving it a chinese touch.
Hara bhara kabab- This was different from other places because they garnished it with a little mayo on the top as you can see in the photo
Paneer achhari- The paneer was so soft and perfectly cooked with all spices.
Veg crispy- The crisp was perfect in this dish with perfect spices and taste.
*Veg Main course*
Paneer tikka masala- The quality of their paneer is really good. They have maintained a good quality of the food with good spices to add taste to it
sabzd a khazana- They had different types of veggies put in the dish. Their hands on spices is perfect.
Veg tawa bhaji- It was a crushed bhaji which really had a nice taste which was perfectly smashed and cooked with the veggies and spices.
Kashmiri polav- It was perfectly cooked. You could even have it with out the dal. It wasn't dependent on the dal tadka.
Veg thai fried rice- When I read the name of the dish i was really impressed. It really did give perfect taste for a thai dish.
Dal tadka- This was one of the best dal tadkas I have had so far
*Dessert*
Gulab jamun- They were so soft and perfect. Their chashni was also on point with perfect sweetness.
Vanilla ice cream- They serve with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. It wasn't frozen yogurt. The taste was very delightful.
My overall experience at Roots of India was very good. Their service is real quick with friendly staff. They will really help you with your needs. They even have put up plants all over the place. Great way to put up their ambience. Recommended place

Roots of India.
Head out to roots of India if you want to discover some authentic and genuine indian cuisines.
This place is located in marol times square building (which is famous all over), at walking distance from marol metro station. You also have many BEST busses to this place as it has got a stop just in front of the building.
As you enter this place you have a cheerful vibe coming towards you. Its spacious to occupy good number of people at a time.
The ambience is decent with soothing environment.
And special appreciation for the presentation skills. I Was really impressed with that.
At 1st we had been served a welcome drink which was strawberry delight and which was a great way to welcome the customers. Later even detox water was served.
The staff was cooperative and they have quick and prompt service.
Foremost was the drinks we started off with:
▪︎Dark night - Its a sweet mocktail which has black current and grape juice. I would recommend to go with this.
▪︎ Long island ice tea - A 5 white spirits cocktail. All cocktail lovers must give a try.
Coming towards the food:
The starters which we ordered were:
▪︎Hara bhara kebab -One of the main dish of Indian cuisine. It's made with spinach, potatoes and green peas. It was really tasty.
▪︎Paneer achhari - Who doesnt like paneer? Again a signature Indian cuisine dish. This was mouth watering.
▪︎Veg crispy- Not to forget Chinese. They have dishes in Chinese too. And veg crispy here was delish.
Moving on to the main course:
We had been here for a buffet and it had veg and non veg which even had mutton so all under one roof.
Buffet included-
▪︎Gravy- Paneer tikka masala, veg tawa bhaji, chicken kadai, mutton hara masala.
▪︎Rice - Kashmiri pulav, Veg thai fried rice, Mutton biryani.
In dessert :
▪︎Gulab jamun - It was sweet delectable item.
▪︎Firni - Its a sweet Indian dish of thickened milk, dried fruit, and ground rice. It satisfied my sweet tooth.
▪︎They also had chocolate pastries and a pann flavored cream cup.
All together my experience of exploring roots of India was remarkable.
Would recommend this place.

A beautiful ambience and a cosy place full of green surrounding to spend a good time with family. The food is equally good. Overall a very nice experience.
We attended the lunch buffet on a weekday which is Rs.751 per person including taxes. We were served with welcome drinks on arrival. The menu items were limited but had a decent number of excellent dishes.
3 Veg Appetizers
1- Baby corn fried : This dish was very tasty and had a slight sweet spicy touch to it which made it stand out. Must try dish. 5/5
2- Beetroot tikki : A very underrated dish, people don't find anything special about this dish just by looking at it or hearing the name. But it was very soft in the inside and nice crispy on the outside. I recommend this dish. 5/5
3- Paneer tikka : This was not exactly a paneer tikka but had a very different taste. It had slight taste of elaichi and spices. Everyone may not love this dish because some people will find it bland while others (which includes me) will love this . 4/5
Non Veg Appetizers
1- Mutton seekh kebab : The mutton seekh kebab is also a must try dish. It is very soft and immediately melts in your mouth. 5/5
2- Chicken mangolian : This dish was one of the best dishes of the day. The chicken was soft and full of flavours. 5/5
3 - Lemon Chicken : This was a simple yet awesome dish. The chicken was soft and juicy and the way it was prepared was amazing. 4.5/5
Soups
There were two soups, Veg manchow soup and paya shorab. Both the soups were simple and tasty. 4/5
Main course
The main course had a wide range of veg and non veg dishes.
1- Murg ka dum : This dish was the best in the main course. The gravy was creamy and had perfect balance of spices and flavours. 5/5
2- Chicken Biryani : The chicken biryani was amazing. The gravy was on point and this taste would make you fall in love with this place. Must try dish. 5/5
3- Rara Mutton - This main course item was good. It tasted a bit bland but overall it was nice. 3.5/5
Some other dishes that were being served were Hong Kong rice, Dal makhani, Paneer dhaniya adrak. Two breads were provided, roti and naan. We had naan and the naan was really good. Soft and not chewy at all.
Desserts
There were two types of pastries, 1 red velvet mousse, rice kheer and gubab jamun. They also had two flavours of ice cream, vanilla and coffee flavours. For us the gulab jamun was the best.
Ambience of this place is amazing , with indoor plants and furniture of brown colour . Also a special thanks to Mr. Vijay who served us and helped us selecting the dishes . This place is great for family outings, couple dates and kitty parties. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. I would definitely recommend this place.
This place offers great food. I loved there Brownies. I also had there chicken staters and all of them were great. This place also have buffet which is a good thing
Good place for Indian food, you can go for both buffet or order. Nice ambience 😋
head out to 'Roots of India' if you're looking out for some authentic food with a variety of flavors. situated in a quiet neighborhood in Marol it offers a good respite from the generally busy atmosphere of Andheri.
the evening began with us ordering Crackling Paneer with spinach, Amritsari Machhi and both Veg and Chicken Wontons. the Wontons were properly shallow fried so as to accommodate the flavor of the sauce. ditto for the paneer which came with barbeque sauce and a side portion of spinach which really went great when eaten together. The Amritsari Machhi couldn't have been any better. Crisp fried to perfection with flavors gushing out of it, one could feel the authenticity of Punjabi spices as soon as the tender fish hits the palate.
Haven't being satiated we went for the Afghani Chicken Tikka which did not fail to meet our high expectations after having had the fish. Again authentic as it was not too spicy balanced with proper Afghani flavors.
Moving on to the main course we ordered Butter Chicken and an assortment of breads to go along with it. Also the winters special of Sarso Da Saag with Makke Di Roti was hard to miss out on.
Both of them were equally great with butter chicken being slightly sweet and the Saag as good as it could come.
To go along with the rice we went for Aleppy fish curry and Daal Makhani. Fish lovers try out the curry as it's truly awesome.
The evening ended with us ordering Moong daal Halwa, Gajar Ka Halwa and Gulab Jamun.
The Gulab Jamun came along with Rabdi which was a pleasureful experience.
All in all it was a great evening with the standout dishes being Amritsari Machhi and Afghani Chicken tikka, both must trys.

Our team had an amazing experience at this Restaurant. We enjoyed our time. A little bit of improvement on the staff behaviour is something I'd expect. However something I'd appreciate is that the staff was responsive and alert.
I'd briefly mention that someone from the staff needs to be present rather than everyone being in the kitchen.
Apart from that, everything was delicious and amazing and we have a wonderful time here. :-)
Thanks to Sagar, good service

The broccli almond soup was a little watery.
For veg starters we had Veg. Crispy which were great concidering they were off me.
Non veg starter we had Rozali kebab which was amazing.
Main course :
The dum ka murg was exceptionally creamy and rich.
The veg kofta curry was also great.
The Gulab Jamun were average.
Above all the service was exemplary. Sujit, our server was helpful and had great suggestions.
A small space in busy streets of Marol estate with the perfect vibe of modern restaurant rooted in Indian cuisine
We were a group of 5 people after tiring day we planned to meet and everyone was inclined to eat good Indian cuisine, therefore we found this place, which not only serves good food but also makes amazing cocktails and mocktails.

2. Paneer Lalabdar and Butter naan and garlic naan: This Dish was exactly by the name "roots of India" Because it was a mixture of Indian spices which exactly stands by its name and the butter garlic naan were so amazing it perfectly goes with the combo.
3. Fortune Rice: Rice with slightly fried vegetable made in a brown gravy having a Chinese taste makes nice fusion who wants to try different rice dish other than simple Rice and Dal😻
For desserts, we had:
1. Sabudana Kheer: Person who is fasting and fond of dessert made out of milk should surely order this.
2. Gulab Jamun: Such a soft and hot Gulab jamun, perfect Indian dessert after a perfect Indian main course. Recommended

This is a wonderful place and i would like to come here again. I was here with my friends and everyone enjoyed there food and had a great time. The Ambience was great and the falling water is magical.
The place is near to marol metro station.
The ambience is good and Decent, staff is humble and welcoming.
It's a buffet where you can order starters at the table and have the mains as a buffet for veg and non-vegetarian both.
Desserts were also good with small pastry options, gulab jamun, sevaiya and mousse.
For mocktails we had Dark knight which was on a tangy base and was a worth to give it a shot.
Also they have happy hours starting from 3 pm where the alcohol is served at mrp rates
Starting with the mocktail.. frozen margarita was good in taste but wasn't properly presented . Dark knight was perfect as its name.the babycorn starter waent that impressive but was good in taste. Paneer starter and potato bites were perfect..and coming to the main course, dal makhni here was really worth and it was genuinely perfect in taste.. chili noodles were bit overcooked but it still tasted good. And lastly coming to the desert part, it was seriously a craving. The small pieces of brownie were really sweet and tasted good. Other than that , kiwi's mousse was also sweet and it's taste was exactly like its name. And the best part is.. gulaab jamun. Perfectly cooked and sugar coated.. a perfect afternoon meal i guess
I recently visited roots of India . This is one the most fantastic places I have been to . The ambience over here is just so marvelous . The music that they play is just so perfect . The staff is very kind and welcoming. Let's talk about their food now . Their food is simply out of this world . Especially their non veg food . They have an awesome buffet everyday . The meat is cooked flawlessly. Some of the must try dishes :
Chicken Hyderabadi biryani

Either be a team dinner or spending time with friends. Its a good place with good ambiance. The quality of food is excellent and worth the price. Even the staff was polite.
Food was really good. Taste was great. It was different than regular taste of North Indian Subzis and typical oriental dishes. Starter Mushroom tempura was Amazing. Tomato Dhaniya Shorba was really nice. In main course, we had ordered Paneer Dhaniya Adraki and Smoked veg, Roti Basket. Oriental noodles and Burnt garlic noodles were tasty 🤤 They should improve their portion size.
Superb ambience food is above average could do better bar is Pretty much good too.
Absolutely loved the ambience and service. The food was spectacular! Something different from your usual restaurant. Would definitely recommend 👍.

So I visited this place on an account of a party being hosted there, and Roots of India made sure that the food and booze part of the event was well taken care of. It was my first time witnessing such a function, where the food and drinks, especially the drinks kept on coming. I got to try so many new cocktail concoctions, made by high quality, Paul John's Nirvana, single malt whiskey.
The staff was very friendly and tended to our needs, especially the bartenders.
There was a wide array of starters ranging from CHEESE CORN BALLS, to PANEER KEBAB, DAHI CORN TIKKI and in non vegetarian we had FISH CAKES, CHICKEN ANGARI KEBAB and more...
There was a wide range of cocktails and mocktails on the house, and I was too busy enjoying them that I didn't mind asking their names, or even if I did I don't remember them now. The only thing I remember that they were real good, all the shakes, shots as well as the single malt whiskey cocktails.
The mains and desserts were pretty standard, but what was different was its taste and the fact that I was really enjoying them.
GULAB JAMUN with Rabdi was so good, I ended up eating 3 full portions of 3 pieces each! Can't get enough for my sweet tooth!
Thank you Roots of India for hosting such an amazing party, that led to an enjoyable and memorable evening!
Happy Burping!!!
The food was amazing but the service was even more amazing. Especially vijay, he was an amazing host. Thank you.
The place was buzzing with office crowd during weekdays. The buffet was sumptuous though service was a bit slow. But the taste and flavour totally overcompensated for that. Will like to visit Roots Of India for their Sunday Brunch. Hopefully soon.
- Good Food - served hot and as per the requirement
- Good Service - courteous staff and very polite (all had a smiling face)
- Good Ambience - Water flows and nice sitting arrangements ( does not look congested)
- Kids friendly - All the staff were playing with my kid, they also picked up the fallen spoon like 1000 times and always with a smile on their face.
All in All Amazing Experience..
A very interesting find if you are looking for really good Indian food. The ambiance is nicely done and the food is amazing. Must try the Chingari Raan (good for 3 people) and balance that off with a Tandoori Makhmali Broccoli, the Kashmiri Pulao is recommended with a daal or non-veg gravy dish of your liking and finish off with a faluda with kulfi. Great for casual dinner dates, meetings / catch-up with colleagues and clients as well as outings with friends and family. Decently priced too.... Would definitely go back there to find other goodies cooking in the kitchen.

My recent visit to this restaurant was marked by a pleasing ambience. While the service was acceptable, the masala papad, unfortunately, remained overly salty even after replacement and lacked flavor. On a brighter note, the dum biryani was a standout, delivering a truly enjoyable taste. However, the unexpected sweetness in the biryani was a surprising and disappointing touch, detracting from an otherwise positive dining experience.
I have spend time with my family and had lunch food quality and quality is good and ambiance is too preety but the veg platter is too expensive and not even tasty they charged 2000 for one veg platter which I don't understand why is so expensive and I paid a bill 4000 for only platters which is unexpected and I will not recommend for starters
And for the same I have to pay the bill of Rs. 8000 so I waste my money in platters
We loved the ambience, the food, the mocktails…. Special mention of Raja who was very courteous and well mannered and ensured that we had a delightful experience
Had been to this place this Sunday. Feel good atmosphere, decor majorly filled with lots of plants. Food is really yummy! Wide range of starters and main course. Dessert section is limited and only area they can improve a bit when its come to varieties
We were a big group of 25 people. Luckily we chose a mid week day so there was not much crowd. But we had to pre book our table. The menu had a good combination of Indian, Chinese and fusion food. Food was great and we tried everything from Dimsum to Dal Khichdi. What can I say..even the Khichdi was so good. Drinks were great as well. Definitely recommend this place.
Overall ok food is good service is slow.
Discount for group is less.
Service tax additional you have to pay.
Price is overvalued and quantity is less according to price. For group lunch i will not advice.
For dating you guys can go and njoy food plus good ambience.
Overall i will rate good

So, I was here for a Sunday brunch. Have always been waiting to try the incredible place. It's an amazing place to spend time with your loved ones. Be it a birthday party, get-together, family occasion, or official lunch, this place stands tall for all of it. The staff is impeccable with all security measurements. Since it was a brunch, you can expect a lot of options from starters to main course and desserts. You can expect a very elite and decent crowd. The ambiance is pleasing with the right seating arrangements which give you the space to breathe and merry. It was a memorable Sunday brunch with talks, glad tidings, and of course the hospitality we got.
Great food , good staff.
All their cuisines are mouth licking. Prices are littlr bit higher vs places nearby in Times Square. Worth a visit if you like your food tasty. Can try their weekend offerings for more affordable price points.
