Visited this great place with our friends on my friends birthday. It has an amazing ambience, the staff members were friendly and fast at their service...
Really good seekh kebab, really good veg biryani and I personally really liked the chole (though my family seemed to enjoy the butter chicken more - it's the sweet kind). Rumali rotis and kulchas are good as breads. They've got this aloo thing for starters which are also decent. The service, however, was very very slow. We went on a sunday night and only 3 tables were occupied, yet they took forever to serve the mains. If you're younger and want to drink and have a good time, I'd recommend going to the Dome upstairs instead. Nice and classy interiors thought. Just really slow service.

A good cozy atmosphere to enjoy a quite meal with a few friends or family. Food average. Can't say too much about it. Quality is good but portions are terrible. A mutton gravy dish had just 3 tiny pieces of mutton and whole lot of gravy in a disappropriate disband the price lajawab. Guess one eats food with gravy and not meat. Similar view for balance dishes.
Barring the atmoshpehere I can probably give it a skip if asked to go again.
The bakery and patisserie has some good stuff. The mini pyramid desert is a great thing to try.

Our Review: 5 / 5:
Since 1971 Kebab Korner has been the most beloved and iconic India restaurant for the city of Mumbai. The restaurant @interconmd was recently revamped and with its big comfortable arm chairs, ornate decorated windows that remind you of intricate lattice work really makes you feel like you are dining in a mahal or palace somewhere in the North. Coming to the food, this is a place for people who are specific about the excellent quality of food and service. Their menu ranges from north Indian to Mughlai delicacies which takes you on a culinary journey through the lanes of town and cities that have made Indian cuisine what is it today. The recreated menu has unique flavours that are showcased with traditional cuisines served with a new look. However, some of their most recommended food are Makkai Roti Tacos, Tulsi Paneer, Kakori Kebab, etc. The royal treatment is extended with their courteous service and great recommendations. Overall this place, for someone looking for a luxurious dining experience with their friends on a late evening. .

Kebab Korner is a restaurant with beautiful blue and white interiors along with artistic chairs which gives it a very royal look. To top it all this place has an amazing view of Mumbai’s Queen’s Necklace. It looks stunning, especially during the Monsoon Season.

The Cuisine here is Indian and they specialize in Kebabs and North Indian Curries. I have tried a lot of Vegetarian dishes here, which is mentioned in detail below.

Truffled Mushroom Baby Kulcha

Small Soft Kulchas Stuffed with a Mushroom Paste. It comes straight out of the tandoor to your plate! It was very soft when I tried it and it had a very mild flavor from the Mushrooms. However, I couldn't taste truffle anywhere, I was expecting the use of some truffle oil at least.

Chili Cheese Baby Kulcha

Another version of Soft Kulchas Stuffed with Cheese and lots of Red Chili Powder, I could taste a lot of cheese and the spice from the Red Chili was also not overpowering. I would prefer this over the Mushroom kulcha even though I LOVE Mushrooms.

Jaituni Paneer Tikka

Giant Cubes of Paneer Marinated in Tandoori Marinate and it was sliced from between to stuff in some Olives. That gave it a tangy flavor and it was an amazing way of serving the Paneer Tikka. The only thing I didn't like is the quantity of Olives was very less and I could hardly taste any Olives.

Kumbh Dak Banglow

Button Mushrooms marinated in a Mustard Paste and cooked inside the tandoor until they become soft.

Daal Makhani

A bowl full of richness, it was exactly what you expect from a Daal Makhani. Melt in mouth Daal in tonne loads of Butter & Cream with superb flavors coming from spices like Clove, Cumin and Cardamom.

Lehsooni Palak

A very creamy concoction of Spinach and Fried Garlic, this was hands down the best dish which I had here. It is a must try if you love Spinach.

The service here was very quick and the staff had total knowledge about the Menu. Overall this place was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to someone who loves to have North Indian Food.

Absolutely loved the food at Kebab Korner at Intercontinental, Marine Drive. If one is a Punjabi Food lover he must visit this restaurant. It's a high end restaurant. The Food is amazingly high quality. The staff is very polite. One of the good part is the restaurant has an amazing sea view perfect for a date night. We really enjoyed the starters the most. They were extremely filling, hence couldn't have the main course properly. We guess we will have to drop by again :p. We strongly recommend you to try out this restaurant. Hope this review helps :)

I visited this place a few days before my actual visit, to book a perfect table for my mom dad's wedding anniversary dinner. The complete staff was very polite & helped me book the table of my choice. The ambience of Kebab corner is beautiful & so is the location. The complete place has a palace kind of feel. Beautiful gazals & songs are played live with traditional Indian musical instruments. I felt this was the perfect place to celebrate my mom& dad's 28th wedding anniversary.
On the day when I visited with my family, we were warmly welcomed & greeted. Sitting arrangements were made & we enjoyed the view from our table. I could get a chance to interact with the singers of the restaurant & told them the name of mom's favourite song & their team sang exactly the songs of that genre. We thoroughly enjoyed the music.
Since we preferred eating veg, they suggested Jaituni paneer tikka(starter), which we tried & it was pretty good. 2nd starter we ordered for was 'signature baby kulchas' which weren't up to the mark according to us. No doubt they were fresh, hot & soft but the filling that each kulcha was supposed to specialize in was very very less. Doesn't justify the name 'signature kulchas'. In addition there was nothing served along with these kulchas with which we could eat them, probably side serving of curd. In main course we ordered vilayati subz Biryani. It was very tasty, smelled very good & fresh. We really enjoyed eating that. It had a lot of different herbs & spices put in correct amount. The quantity of Biryani was pretty good too. In dessert we ordered gulkhand panacotta. This was tasty but the quantity was very very less for spending approx Rs 500 just for such a small piece. It wouldn't even serve for 2 people. I would rate 'signature baby kulchas' & 'gulkhand panacotta' as 2.5/5 in terms of value for money.
After we were done with the meal, to our surprise we received two different flavoured pastries with happy anniversary message written on the plate. It was very sweet of the staff to arrange for that. We were also offered sweet pan as mouth freshener post dinner which was tasty. Hot & wet hand towels were provided to clean our hands with comfort. I forgot to mention - in the beginning, we also received 3 varieties of papads with 2different chatnis/sauce, onions & lemons to have it with. Considering the ambience, location, staff, live music, taste of food, the complete experience was really beautiful. We spent good 2-2.5 hours there & didn't even realise. In addition, while we were leaving, we were given sweets as anniversary gift for my mom & dad. This was unexpected & a very nice gesture again. Thanks for making our visit as beautiful as you could. :)

Visited as a guest in the Kebab Korner restaurant for lunch just today with my husband and enjoyed our sea side table. We chose to stay indoors - to enjoy the air conditioning 😊. I just want to say that, in addition to a nice meal, we had a delightful waitre, Praful.
Praful had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency. He recognized that we wanted time to visit and did not rush us. He and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. The Chutney of curd with 36 spices in it with tamarind dash become the most favourite and mandate in the table next time we go😃
Kudos!

Kebab Korner.

Years back when life was simple , hearts were full of hopes and mind full of dreams , pockets were always near-empty my parents who use to study in Jai Hind which is close to intercontinental use to sit at Marine drive and my father use to tell my mom " One day I would become rich and would take you for a meal at this hotel ". Many years have passed since and my father fullfil his promised and did more than he had promised.

Now in 2019 as my mom sits on the table by the window and enjoys the Marine drive view and tells me her college stories while having a meal at kebab Korner a very special restaurant which has recipes of the dishes that are handed down through generations of family chefs. Since 1971 kebab Korner has been the most beloved and iconic India restaurant for the city of Mumbai. Continuing this legacy, their reinvented menu takes you on a culinary journey.

This is a place for people who are specific about the excellent quality of food and service. The ambiance is beautiful and luxurious. The menu ranges from north Indian to mughlai delicacies which takes you on a culinary journey through the lanes of town and cities that have made Indian cuisine what is it today. The reinvented menu has authentic flavours that are showcased with traditional cuisines served with new avatar.

So what all did we have ?

We started our journey with sipping on

- Kokum Spice
- Mast Amrat

Then came our starters

- Chicken tikka
- Murgh Afgani
- Pomfret tikka
- Butter garlic prawns
- Classic seekh kebab

After relishing the starters we we're excited to try the mains which were Recommended by omkar who was serving us

- Ambotic curry
- Murgh Handi Lazeez
- Murgh biryani

We ended the meal with

- Kulfi Trio
- Gulkand panacotta

Insiders tip
- Pick a table by the window so you can enjoy the Marine drive view while having your meal
- There are some interesting desserts like the gulkand panacotta and kulfi trio which see worth trying

Restaurant: Kebab Korner
Where : Marine Drive, Intercontinental Mumbai
What : New Kebab Menu
Cost of Meal for Two : 3000 approx
.
Kebab Korner is one of the most iconic restaurant in Mumbai. Started in year 1971, it is situated on first floor in the famous prime property Intercontinental.

They have come up with all new kebab menu. I visited and tried most of their signature dishes. Food quality, quantity and taste is excellent. White colour rich ambience is just perfect for a North Indian cuisine fine-dine place. I went on Friday and they had Gazal night. It just adds to the charm of place. Pricing is on higher end, a bit heavy on the pocket.

While I read good reviews about service, it was the opposite. Apart from Manager, none of the staff was attentive. I had to request for water and spoons.

I tried Pomfret, Kakori Kebab, Seekh Kebab, Paneer Kebab, Dal Makhni, Malai prawns, Non veg Tacos & Ghost Biryani. Every dish was super delicious. Loved the flavours hitting my palate. Authentic as it gets.

Overall, it was a wonderful dinner at Kebab Korner. Highly recommend this place.

Kebab Korner has been one of my favourite restaurants for Indian food and on my recent visit here, I was so delighted that it still maintains the standards even after all these years.
Dropped by on Saturday night after making prior reservations. We were in for a surprise, there were ghazal singers performing live and they had set the atmosphere for a perfect dinner.

With a gorgeous view of Marine Drive and soft melodious ghazals playing in the backdrop, we started to place our order. We ordered for - the Butter Garlic Tandoori Jhinga, perfectly cooked tiger prawns in lots of butter, really yummy, the Murgh Afghani: succulent pieces of chicken breast cooked in cream and yellow spices, this one is a must try, the Murgh Kakori Kebab - minced chicken served like seekh, every bite of this melts in the mouth, so so good! We also tried the Tandoor Lamb Chops - again, cooked to perfection with a smoked flavour. For mains, they recommended the biryanis since they currently have a biryani festival going on. We tried the Murgh Sufiyani Biryani which came accompanied with dal makhani, raita and saalan, a very big portion so get ready to enter foodcoma!

For desserts we tried the Gulkand Panacotta, something different, flavoured panacotta topped with a dollop of gulkand, a great option for Paan lovers. On our way out, we were offered paan as well, alongwith candies, which were stacked in huge sacks by the entrance. So much fun!

Our meal was an absolute meat feast and we are looking forward to going back here with friends and family soon. A special mention to the amazing service, well informed, polite, prompt and very helpful.

I had taken my husband to this place for dinner on his birthday. Loved it ambience. We ordered the Lamb Chops, Chicken Handi and we were suggested to order Laccha Paratha and Naan for two. The manager and staff Praful, Omkar and Kanika all were very well spoken and helpful. The food was delicious. And later they surprised us with a pastry on the house as small gesture from the hotel. Left very happy. The only reason why I am one star short is because I can't give 4.5... that's because We didn't get the window side seats as discussed, but maybe because We reached 15-20mins late than what we had reserved our place. So note that you reach just in time that you have reserved your seat.

Experienced a leisurely lunch overlooking Marine Drive from the very comfortable and plush Kebab Korner at the Intercontinental. I loved the peaceful ambiance and soothing decor of the restaurant - it made me feel so at ease! The staff is well spoken and very helpful in assisting me to decide what to order from their extensive menu.
We were presented with papad as an appetizer - and I'd have loved it if it had been a little more crunchy and less soggy.
Dal Poppers for appetizers were yummy, consisting of soft paneer cubes coated in moong dal - crunchy and soft at the same time, without filling you up before your meal.
I picked Kakori Kebabs and Afghani Malai Kebabs off the menu for starters. I'd highly recommend the Kakori Kebab - ultra soft, very fragrant and irresistible. The Afghani Malai Tikka was good too - but flavour wise, Kakori Kebabs were miles better!
For mains, I ordered Martbaan Roger Mutton Curry which was delectable with a generous quantity of mutton in a luscious red curry.
For dessert I tried Jalebi pearls with rabri - sooooo good, but very rich, so ensure you order one portion to share! The Jalebi pearls are basically tiny motichoor beads.
Great experience overall!

The veg biryani was fairly decent accompanied by their signature dal makhani which was mind blowing

Good service and even better food, Kebab Korner is truly the best Indian restaurant in South Mumbai. A traditional Indian vibe with fitting interiors and music, Kebab Korner has all the feels of a classy Indian restaurant which lives up to one’s expectations.

What we had:
- Khumbh Dak Banglow: A truly fabulous dish, stuffed mushrooms smoked and marinated with mustard. A must have for all mushroom lovers.
- Tulsi Paneer: Yummy Paneer flavoured with tulsi cooked on the tandoor.
- Lehsooni Palak: Absolutely delectable, this basic dish cooked with spinach and baby garlic is extremely tasty and highly recommended.
- kk Signature Dal Makhani: What’s not to like about Dal Makhani!!
- Cheese Garlic Naan: This is an off-menu item that we always ask for, and the chef does an amazing job with the same. Super delish.
- Churchur Laccha: Pretty nice.

Overall, great food and ambiance. This is an especially good setting for family dinners. A must visit for all! A special shoutout to the sacks filled with your favourite imli sweets, Hajmola packets and the likes! Super cute.

The best part is you get amazing Sea view while eating.

Food we called for was:-

Recently got a chance to dine at this heritage place Kebab Korner and we have to admit the food here is worth every penny. Not only food but the service they offer is also impeccable. The view which is overlooking the beautiful marine drive was surreal. The candle lit table along with this view makes this the perfect place to celebrate special occasions with loved ones. Their menu has an array of kebabs and you will be spoiled for choices. Our server Jaspal was extremely informative and he helped us in choosing the right dishes from the menu.

What we tried and how it tasted:

First they served us a glass of refreshing welcome drink.

Veg Kebab Platter – This had assorted tandoori appetizers which included jaituni paneer tikka, khumbh dak bunglow, sarson broccoli tandoori & suz nawabi seekh. Do not miss Jaituni paneer tikka & khumbh dak bunglow. Mushrooms were extremely fragrant & aromatic whereas paneer cubes were soft & marinated well.

Non veg kebab platter – This included murgh afghani, haleem ke kebab and pomfret tandoori tikka. Haleem ke kebab were deliciously juicy and almost melted in our mouth. Pomfret tandoori had all the exotic flavours of spices all wrapped in the fish and grilled. This platter was marvelous!

Don’t miss out on the white chutney which they serve along with the regular green chutney. This white chutney was slightly sweet but went well with the kebabs.

For the mains, they served us with variety of dishes in smaller portions along with breads. It included a combination of both veg & non veg gravies. Each dish was extra-ordinary in taste however some of the dishes need a mention here. Like their dal makhani was so amazing that its difficult to put it here in words. Try it & you will fall in love with it. Creamy, buttery & extremely flavourful . Minced mutton curry was superb and so was gobhi masala.

For the desserts, we tried one of their signature dessert made with milk and was served in a fancy glass. We just couldn’t stop eating this one! Also, don’t miss the paan in the end.

Overall, we highly recommend Kebab Korber. Must visit!

Apart from a fantastic view of the Marine Drive dining with your family, Kebab Korner has some excellent authentic flavored North Indian dishes!

Recommendations: Veg Mirch ka Salan (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED), Veg Haleem, Veg Tulsi Paneer, Shahi Tukda, Chili Cheese Baby Kulchas.

They have very courteous staff, to begin with. And the vibe is extremely family oriented. Their mocktails are pretty refreshing. Food wise, you just cannot miss their 'Mirch ka Salan' - easily one of the most flavorsome dish I've tried till date. You should definitely order this. A Cheese Garlic Naan would go best with it. Amongst the rest, Haleem is supposedly a non-vegetarian favorite but the chef made a fantastic job to bring out a veg version. The 'Tulsi Paneer' and the 'Shahi Tukda' in the end are just the best.

The Kebab-Korner is specially known for its scrumptious kebabs and the some signature dishes coming directly from their inhouse-kitchen.

Situated at 1st floor at Intercontinental the place gives a killer queen's necklace view while you dine in there. The staff is very humble with a positive attitude.

The place has brownish dim lights and tables designed with fantastic decor.Jaspal sir was attending us and yes he was in a friendly manner recommending the best stuff out here,so full marks for the service.

Starters-Veg seekh kebab, jaituni paneer tikka marinated with olives just impressed us.Sarson brocoli tandoor was way better.

For non-vegetarians they had Pomfret, mutton seekh kebab, tandoori murgh and loads of options. The kebabs were juicy and i would admit the name KEBAB KORNER adds justice to maintain the standard since years.

Mains-the mains were extra-ordinary which included long variety of subzis like murgh tikka makhni, subz miloni, nbhuna gobhi masala, lahori aloo, ambotik curry, baingan chokha, mutton curry with salad.Accompanied with churchur naan which was infused with red-chilli had a fab taste. The subz biryani had a basic taste with
balanced flavors- of course a biryani lover's stomach will be loaded with happiness.

Each dish was authentically prepared with correct proprtion of spices,i guarantee you will return back with a huge smile on your face. For desserts you can go for malai kulfi/gulab jamun.I would highly recommend this place for kebab lovers and the delicious north indian and mughlai dishes which will drop your jaws for sure.

Def coming back again to try other dishes which i missed this time.

The very famous Intercontinental is located at Glittering Marine Drive. There is no such requirement of occasion or reason needed to visit this pretty place and enjoy that spectacular view of Arabian sea along with yummy comfort food.

Recently visited Kebab Korner to taste the delicacies of Hyderabad food festival. Master chef Rais Alam asked our preferences and made few scrumptious delicacies which completely made me go finger-licked.

Veg Seekh Kebab - the beautiful green color looked itself appealing. The blend of veggies with flavorful spices perfectly roasted is just not to be missed. The most delicious kebabs ever had

Paneer Tikka - My meal is incomplete without paneer..no words can describe the goodness of this well tandoored tikkas..this was topped with herbs and chilli flakes. Well marinated and just loved it.

Mutton Kebabs - Rich, softer, juicy and tasty..enhancing the goodness of all Hyderabad flavors. Well enjoyed with their mint chutney and white chutney..Great appetiser to start the meal on.

Bagchecha Bahar - A thick gravy with big chopped seasonal veggies. Delicious and creamy flavored..Perfect for all veg lovers. Truly enjoyed with khameeri rotis in this awesome weather.

Haleem - not a haleem lover but after tasting the veg version of haleem here I just couldn't stop praising about this dish. I finished the whole big bowl myself. Not only tasty a super healthy choice.

Last but not least was Shahi tukda with rabdi the portion was decent and can be finished between 2. The creamy dry fruit Rabdi tasted heavenly.

The staff here is so friendly. They pay equal attention on all tables just to make your experience pleasant and overall worth. Missed meeting Jaspal Singh the face of Kebab Korner - An expert in hospitality.never mind might go back soon here.

Explore Hyderabadi delicious delicacies right here.

One of the oldest and best Brand who started the Tradition of Kebabs and Mumbai and has been winning hearts of many Mumbaikars like us .

This restaurant is a Clearly one of the most coruscating jewel of the Queen's Necklace Marine Drive.

We were here to savor the Hyderabadi Delicacies as they have an on going Hyderabad Food Festival which will be open for all till 16th December 2018 .

Dakhni Paneer Tikka :
Paneer Slices with olives in between giving a sour tinge along with the spicy marinated paneer.

Baghecha Subzaar :

Melt in the mouth kebabs, delicious silky smooth curry and soft naan, topped up with the great service and ambiance - will make anyone’s meal experience delightful.
While looking for dinner options in the area, Kebab Korner popped up in the google search. We decided to give it a go, and we are pleased that we did.
Recommendation : Do try the butter chicken and Gulukand Pennacotta, they are amazing.

What an amazing experience!
Ambience - Brilliant place with great interiors. Mr. Harish Chavan has put in his heart to decorate the place. Once you enter, you will be transformed into a classy person instantly.
Food - Any restaurant is about the food and oh boy, the Kebab Korner is right up there! These people know what they are doing. A1 presentation and A1 on the taste. This a obviously expected from a place of such reputation.
Service - Amazing service. You will never feel that you are not being attended. The staff is experienced and will know what kind of food you would prefer.
Recommendation - I would suggest that one should describe what like of food the he/she wants to have and request the staff to get something accordingly. You will never be disappointed. I had the pomfret kebab and the broccoli kebabs. Amazing taste!
Value for money - The money you will spend here will empty your pockets but it's worth every penny. A perfect place for special occasions!

The only reproach I have against this fine dining place is its pricing.
On all my recent visits here, have noticed sparse attendance. While the food (and the service) is top notch and would ordinarily attract a vast number of diners, I think it's pricing itself out, as the cost exceeds even 5-star hotels who fall in the same gst bracket.
If it finds a way to make the per head cost lower than it's current 2000/2500 bracket, the footfall would greatly increase and benefit not only the kitchen and restaurant staff but also the lost clientele.

Great food, brilliant view and good quality food. Makes this place perfect for North Indian food. Not a kids friendly place as they don’t have kids chairs and it was too cold for some but they didn’t have provision to reduce the cooling or have seating for people who don’t want direct air. If kids aren’t with you, must go place for the taste.

Had lunch at Kebab Korner. Ordered their non veg platter which consisted of chicken tikka,Afghani chicken, fish and sheekh kabab. The sheekh was by far the best, followed by the chicken tikka and fish. They were all very juicy and succulent. The Afghani was a let down as it was hard and felt dry. Vikas the man in charge replaced it with the Reshmi chicken which was a bit better. Good ambience and service

Ordered 1 starter, 2 drinks, 1 main course and 1 biryani. Biryani was great, the chicken and rice was well cooked.

A bit slow in service(i dunno for what reason) had to wait 15-20 mins for biryani to come. But on a whole a good experience. Must visit.

Ideally 4.5 would be my rating but since the new version misses the point I have rated them 5. Definitely not full marks from me. The reason being that some of the dishes were extremely good while some were just good. Nothing was bad at all. The experience overall was fabulous here. Undoubtedly a good North Indian meal in a beautiful ambience and I’m sure this must be the most romantic setting in the lunch hours as the restaurant faces the vast sea. Killer view for sure. I’d be happy with the view itself and to add bonus to it, the food surely satisfies ones taste buds. They have come up with the thali options which makes ones life easier as a person like me always wants to try more varieties in smaller portions. So a North Indian thali is a rare treat in Mumbai and that too in a star category restaurant. Complete win win situation. The options are express lunch or experience dinner thali. Both have their pros n cons. One is cheaper but a quick meal and the other is a little expensive but an ostentatious meal.

Chef Deepak is a great host and The team headed by Mr. Rohit Joshi who handles the food & beverage department here is flawless and courteous. We felt pampered and important. Over glasses of sparkling wine we enjoyed a ritzy dinner. It started with the most interesting amuse bouche in the form of edible plastic bags filled with some savoury Chana dal. Was so pretty and quite a surprising moment for us to chew on plastic bags in this era. Loved the innovative idea. This was followed by some delectable appetisers like Jaituni paneer tikka which were a bit average cos the marinade was a miss and the olives gave a sharp sour taste to the paneer. Even the texture of the paneer was a bit dry n hard. Expected a little softer quality here. This was followed by sarson broccoli tandoori. Fantastic. Best of all. Loved the smokey flavour along with the pungent mustard flavour. Last appetiser was the veg tikis/ kebabs. Were soft bite sized melt In the mouth and heavenly tikis. Really liked these. The best part was the palate cleaner after this course. It was a mango sorbet sprinkled with some masala which was to die for. This was an absolute show stealer. These guys win hands down in the amuse bouche n palate cleaner variety.

In the mains we were offered this huge plate full of bowls filled with the best of the gravies n lentils. Firstly we loved the dal makhani here. A clear winner. Second was the beawar bhindi which was crispy and had a chatpata taste of dry mango powder and cherry tomatoes. The third best was the bhuna gobi masala. I love gobi and this one was surely remarkable. The rest were good but not better than the above, lehsuni Palak, Subz miloni. We enjoyed assorted breads like ajwaini parathas, phulkas, chur chur parathas etc with the gravies and also ended our meal with some dal khichdi and steam rice and dal. The thali is unlimited so u can get a refill of any dish u wish to enjoy more. But we could not finish even half of it so felt bad wasting some food. Make sure u come here when u have extreme hunger pangs. This way u can enjoy it till the last bite.

Last but not the least we ended this wonderful meal with a gulkand garnished pannacotta served with a topping of gulab jamun. Was honestly expecting an Indian dessert like a Rabri or halwa or phirni but this was a bit surprising as the western element was felt in this. The dessert by itself was fantastic but somehow didn’t go well with this meal. Another option would be better.

The service was top notch and no words to describe this humbling experience wherein we felt truly like the kings in our palaces enjoying a royal meal in the best of the hands. Would highly recommend one and all to try the thali here and a visit here would always be a special one to remember all life.

Kebab Korner is Indian restaurant in Mumbai's most beautiful 5 star Hotel at Marine Drive - InterContinental.
Everything screams luxury when you enter this hotel, it's an iconic hotel of Mumbai.

My experience at Kebab Korner was extremely good with all old authentic recipes, aromatic flavours, traditional ingredients and touch of modern Indian cuisine.

Ambience at Kebab Korner is very pretty, they have given a royal touch to decor, also few tables here view the Queen's Necklace of Mumbai.
So this place definitely calls for romantic lunch/dinner.

They have recently started a 3 course North Indian Experience Thali Dinner and Express Lunch Thali, where all food is "Unlimited"
I tried their Thali Dinner and I genuinely enjoyed all Mughlai, North Indian Delicacies to the fullest.
It was such a soul satisfying meal.

Started with something so unique,
chatpata amuse-bouche - masala crispy dals wrapped in melts in mouth edible plastic.

Then they got us mouthwatering Appetizers.
• jaituni paneer Tikka
• sarson broccoli tandoori
• bhune subz ki shami kebab
All 3 were so flavourful, tasty accompanied with chutneys.
Shami kebab was the best out of all.
Somehow paneer had got too hard, they just need to check on that.

After the Appetizers they got us palate cleanser -lemon and mango sorbet.
It was so refreshing.

Now was the time for mains - the Royal North Indian Thali :)
• Paneer Butter Masala - here the paneer was perfectly soft in rich creamy spiced gravy.
• Subz Miloni - Mix Vegetable Gravy
• Beawar Bhindi - this was fantastic, crispy fried okra tossed in potli masala.
• Lehsooni Palak - the fried baby garlic on top added perfect flavours to this palak gravy.
• Bhuna Gobi Masala
• Signature Dal Makhani - creamy mildly spiced black lentils dal was simply delicious.
All served along with hot crispy soft assorted tandoori rotis.
"Everything was so tasty, it had the correct North Indian flavours"

N Lastly they got us the delectable desserts
• Gulab Jamun
• Gulkand Pannacotta
Presentation was fantastic, please look for the pictures below :)

I really had one of the best Indian meal here, definitely going back soon:)
And yes totally loved this new thali concept and I highly recommend you guys to try it out:)

Thank you

My first ever visit to The Intercontinental and I must say it’s mighty impressive. Visited the Kebab korner restaurant based on the 1st level. This is a beautiful majestic looking restaurant with a great sea view while dining. The huge windows overlook the street and the huge ocean right across the street. Absolutely breathtaking view. We went at to try the new thali concept that they have come up with recently. An express lunch thali which is meant for quicker meals and the experiential dinner thali which is a laid back and luxurious dining experience. So we chose the luxurious one as we wanted to enjoy it to the fullest.

The thali is quite well planned by the chef and has really authentic Indian flavours which are brought out in each course. We tried the unique things like edible plastic bags with a filling of Namkeen and mouth watering appetisers like zaituni paneer tikka, tandoori broccoli and veg shami kebabs. The paneer was not a big hit with us. Didn’t like the olive flavour in cottage cheese and overall it was a chewy and hard texture. The broccoli was fantastic. Loved the sharpness of mustard marinade used here. And the shami were just brilliant.

In the main course we were served a beautiful thali with loads of curries. Gobhi aloo, veg korma, paneer in gravy bhindi masala and lehsuni Palak along with the dal makhani and assorted Indian breads, rice and dal khichadi. The bhindi was the star. Crispy and perfect amchur flavour. The black dal was another hero. A hands down winner. The other curries were good but these stood out clearly for me. The chur Churi roti was a hit too. The dal khichdi again was a great preparation.

In desserts we tried the pannacotta with rose syrup and gulab jamun. Was a nice end to a good meal.

Overall ambience and service was commendable and attentive. Prices on the steep side but definitely a meal fit for the kings. So found it quite a value for money concept wherein u get to taste each course well and eat at a spaced out time. A definite must visit for some good rustic moghlai cuisine.

InterContinental - the iconic Hotel located at Marine Drive is home to Kebab Korner. Kebab Korner is an ultra luxurious fine dine place with breathtaking bayview and serves authentic Indian cuisine along with some fusion dishes / desserts as well. Kebab Korner is located on Level 1 alongside Long & Short, which is a lounge which serves European cuisine.

Kebab Korner has recently introduced Thalis - which is a lavish 3 course Indian meal including appetizers, main course and desserts. They offer Express Lunch Thali which caters to corporate as well and is priced at INR 1800 excluding wine. For dinner they offer "Experience Thali" which is an easy going complete meal, where you can take your time and enjoy scrumptious meal. This is priced at INR 2400.

You may also choose to have some wine along with food - options offered between Red Wine and White Wine basis your preference along with Indian food. Chef Deepak has curated this special menu to ensure that you get authentic Indian cuisine along with some fusion desserts! A special mention for Mr. Rohit - F&B Manager at InterContinental for extending warm hospitality!

Heading straight to what was on offer for Experience Thali - Veg

To begin with we were presented with a palate cleanser - Amuse Bouche. Crispy and Spiced Masala Chana Dal packed in edible plastic. I was intrigued about the ingredients used and technique to make this, but it stays as a secret with the restaurant and chef. Very unique and impressed I must say!

We started with Appetizers and were served three of them - Jaipuri Paneer Tikka, Bhune Subz Ki Shami and Sarson Brocolli Tandoori. Paneer Tikka was smoked cottage cheese marinated with olives. The olives gave it a bitter taste for me and I personally love the smokey effect given to cottage cheese. However in this process the cottage cheese might have become a little hard. Something, which can be looked into.

Next we had the Bhune Subz Ki Shami - Round shaped Patties / Tikkis with peas and spiced beans as filling, fried to perfection. Highly recommended to try! After this, we tried the Sarson Broccoli Tandoori - marinated with mustard and grilled to perfection! Loved it! Must try!

Before heading into the mains, we were served another palate cleanser - this time around it was Mango & Lemon Sorbet served in a cutting chai glass. Loved the combination and was very refreshing. Again very unique!

And now coming to the Star Veg Thali at Kebeb Korner - 5 Vegetables and 1 Dal with Assorted Indian Breads along with choice of steamed rice / Khichdi. The thali was presented in a beautiful way. They have a shiny steel arc where all the individual bowls are placed. So all of these 6 bowls along with a bowl of salad is placed in front of you at one go, unlike other thali places where different people serve you continuously which can be irritating at times.

The best part here at Kebab Korner is that you get a thali experience without any hassles. Coming to the 5 vegetables - Bhuna Gobi Masala, Paneer Butter Masala, Subz Miloni, Lehsooni Palak and Beawar Bhindi. Amongst the five my preference would be Beawar Bhindi, Bhuna Gobi Masala and Paneer Butter Masala. Crisp Bhindi (lady fingers) with perfect potli masalas and cherry tomato. Personally I am not a fan of Bhindi, but with the way it was made and tasted, loved it.

Bhuna Gobi Masala, chopped cauliflower tossed with Indian spices and Paneer Butter Masala -creamy cottage cheese in a rich onion and tomato gravy, both came a close second for me.

Dal in the thali was Kebab Korner Signature Dal Makhani. Creamy Black Lentils Dal to be enjoyed with Indian Assorted breads as well as with Steam rice. Tasted real nice. I also tried the Khichdi, could be a good light option after heavy meal.

Finally moving to the desserts, we had the Gulab Jamun and Gulkand Pannacotta - a fantastic fusion of Indian and Italian desserts! Sweet thickened cream topped with Gulkand and Gulkand! Loved the dessert, must try and highly recommended! And towards the end we were presented with a platter of paan - Meetha (Sweet) and Saada (Plain). Couldnt have asked for more!

Overall, if I need to define my experience at Kebab Korner in one word, it will be awestruck! Beautiful setting, lip smacking food, fantastic service, soothing music, one of the most memorable experiences I have had!

Assorted breads-You can enjoy vegetables with phulkas, naan, churchur laccha paratha options.

Kk signature dal makhani -Star dal of thali. This is not to be missed.Rich black lentils cooked in copper urn overnight.I enjoyed dal makhani with steam rice and some khichdi .Soul food .No thali is complete without dal & rice.

KebabKorner - One of the best I could say when it comes to North Indian/Mughlai Cuisine. Fine dine restaurant at the Intercontinental Mumbai overlooking the Bay. Lovely Ambiance/Nice feel. Hats Off to Chef Bhairav and his team for curated an Unlimited Thai @ 2400/= It has all one can ask for. They also have an express lunch Thali (check the prices with the restaurant)

Started with Wine (not a part of Thali)

My Partner was Non Veg - will write a brief about these dishes as well.

They start with their Signature Kebab Korner Platter - Sabz Nawabi Seekh - rusty look packed with aroma. Hand pounded Veg kebab subtle in taste with a bit of processed cheese on top. Paneer stuffed with Olive - Could feel the texture and the taste. Moong Dal Bhajiya (light fluffy) liked these. Overall no flaws.

After the Starters the Thali arrives. Loved the presentation. Kacchi Mirch ka Paneer - This is basically cottage cheese with subtle flavours nicely balanced simmered with green pepper corn and spring onions. Semi thick. Goes well with the breads.

Pind De Chole - wow the signature dish. Been having this since 2+ decades. Same taste. Traditional Punjabi style of cooking. Herbs and flavours just perfect.

Beawar Bhindi - not a bhindi person but still liked the Okra which was tossed (crunchy) with cherry tomatoes and Potli masala.

Lasooni Palak - Yes got the taste of both. Lasoon and Palak. Simple yet classy cooking. Fresh green spinach with a rusty texture pan tossed with baby garlic. Try this one.

Kaloonji Aloo - Star dish of the day - Its simple (home) recipe. Punjabi style cooking. Mild in flavour. Potatoes with onion seed. No rocket science. This takes you to the Langar which they have it at the Gurdwara.

Dal Makhani is again an all time speciality of KebabKorner. Signature dish. Overnight cooking.. right notes of flavour texture and balance.

They also serve green salad. Asked for Garlic Naan and My partner asked for Laccha Paratha. Perfect.

Biryani - made well. Aroma/Flavours/spices. Long grain Basmati rice cooked well. Non Veg had the Yakhni Pulav - made well. Nice balance as well.

Mains - Non veg - It was Murg Hara masala Tender chicken in rich rusty semi thick spinach sauce which was finished on "dum" packed with flavours and herbs. Roghan Josh - another dish which will take you to Kashmir with its bold flavours and punch. This is a lamb dish. Khatai Jhinga - Medium fresh catch prawns cooked with raw mango and spices (tangy/sweet/spicy) the starters had the Seekh kebab - the best I heard. Perfect in texture and taste. Pomfret tikka and Murg Afghani (one piece was a bit chewy and hard but the other was perfect) flavour wise - no complaints.

Desserts - Chilli Chocolate Tian. Dark Chocolate Ganache with blueberry compote. Rich at the same time liked it. Trio Kulfi and Gulab Jamun.
Nice...

Apart from amazing view, this place has some astounding authentic north Indian food. The staff is affable. I loved the food here. Very tasty and fresh. This place is located on 1st floor at intercontinental, Marine drive. They have lots of variety for kebab and north Indian food. The place is well maintained and neat. Ambience is royal. The best part is you get amazing Sea view while eating. Daal makhani (5/5)- Amazingly cooked. A must order dish here. Chole Amritsari(5/5)- We loved the chole. Lacha chur(55/)- it's crushed paratha with red chilli as garnishment. Oreo Tart (5/5)- okay.so this dessert isn't there in menu but the chef specially made this yummy dish for us.Thank you chef for this. Strawberry mojito (5/5)- A very lovely and refreshing drink. I loved it. We had a lovely time dining at this wonderful place. This place is child friendly and perfect for family get togethers. Valet is available.

Truffled Mushroom Baby Kulcha Small Soft Kulchas Stuffed with a Mushroom Paste. It comes straight out of the tandoor to your plate! It was very soft when I tried it and it had a very mild flavor from the Mushrooms. However, I couldn't taste truffle anywhere, I was expecting the use of some truffle oil at least. Chili Cheese Baby Kulcha Another version of Soft Kulchas Stuffed with Cheese and lots of Red Chili Powder, I could taste a lot of cheese and the spice from the Red Chili was also not overpowering. I would prefer this over the Mushroom kulcha even though I LOVE Mushrooms. Jaituni Paneer Tikka Giant Cubes of Paneer Marinated in Tandoori Marinate and it was sliced from between to stuff in some Olives. That gave it a tangy flavor and it was an amazing way of serving the Paneer Tikka. The only thing I didn't like is the quantity of Olives was very less and I could hardly taste any Olives. Kumbh Dak Banglow Button Mushrooms marinated in a Mustard Paste and cooked inside the tandoor until they become soft. Daal Makhani A bowl full of richness, it was exactly what you expect from a Daal Makhani. Melt in mouth Daal in tonne loads of Butter & Cream with superb flavors coming from spices like Clove, Cumin and Cardamom. Lehsooni Palak A very creamy concoction of Spinach and Fried Garlic, this was hands down the best dish which I had here. It is a must try if you love Spinach. The service here was very quick and the staff had total knowledge about the Menu. Overall this place was amazing and I would definitely recommend it to someone who loves to have North Indian Food.

Heading straight to what was on offer for Experience Thali - Veg To begin with we were presented with a palate cleanser - Amuse Bouche.

If you are a couple and looking for a peaceful dinner for two with a fantastic view of the Marine Drive, then come here. Alternatively, if you are a family looking for some good times and a great dinner (money no bar) then definitely come here. Food wise, their 'Veg Mirch ka Salan' is out of this world - simply fantastic. Even the 'Chili Cheese Baby Kulchas' are pretty good. Also, a must try is their 'Shahi Tukda'. The staff is super courteous and the service is quick.

Food is awesome but the slow services, despite very few guests, diminish the taste. Wide scope to improve services.
