Yellow Chilli is a huge fine dining place situated in the heart of Powai and is owned by the popular chef Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor.
This place is known for their North Indian food.
After a delicious meal, we decided to order for their special Mango Shahi Tukda for our dessert.
Shahi tukda is actually a hyderabadi sweet dish which is made by frying bread slices in pure ghee and then dipped in sugar syrup.
It is usually topped with rabdi but this one was topped with mango peices.❤
This was one of their summer speciality dishes.❤
It was something different then the normal shahi tukda but still something great to taste😋

So few days ago I have visited this awesome place called yellow chilli near star mall. And I am quite impressed with courteous staff!! ,And warm welcome and the ambience is so relaxing and peaceful.
So first thing I ordered :-
1) Peru pyala : guava juice added with lemon juice and tobasco in it which give you a spicy punch and they have the spicy mixture ring on the glass (salt and chilli power) I assumed!! Good start up drink you can say!!

Ps: If you don't like Peru you can try other drinks like santramantra , aam panna, tarbooza.

2) cheese chilli chicken Tikka : just the way they say all good things in one!!. Small chicken tikka stuffed with cheese and capsicum and topped with cheese served with onion marinated in yogurt.

3) veg skewers: stuffed with veggies and cover with crispy batter taste good
.
4) murgh hara pyaaz : tandoor chicken tikka cooked with spring onions with flavourful spices comes with thick yellow gravy little bit spicy I would say! With this you can go with either garlic naan or normal butter roti which ever you are craving.
And then once you are done with your meal they served pan to complete your meal.

Had 2 different experiences....so will touch both aspects....
Most important - FOOD....the food was delicious, very palatable. We tried the Veg platter, but too small a portion size...it has a couple of pieces of tender tandoor paneer, mushrooms, a couple of pieces of stuffed cheese aloo and some kebab...
Main course we had sabz bahar (spicy red gravy with vegetables) and paneer adraki (yellow gravy). Both vegetables were very tasty. Pyaaz Mirchi roti was also very good.
Also tried the stew and appam (the only disappointing item). Appam needs a genuine learning for Sanjeev Kapoor standards ! Ended up with good sweet paan...
Second - SERVICE - there is a lot of improvement needed with talking n serving etiquettes....pls work on this in order to really keep Sanjeev Kapoor's name n standard high !
Chicken biryani and tandoori chicken are a must have at this awesome restaurant. Service and the people are also amazing! 10 stars out 5! :)

As i had good and positive experience at thane viviana outlet of yellow chillis.This time when i was at dads for shopping, I found the another outlet of yellow chilli which is fine in with good destiny's. I tried tandoori basil prawns,ulte tawe ki galauti and malai paneer tikka.Chicken biryani was cook nicely and serve amazingly.Shahi Tukda was the dessert which i order at the end, which i missed last time. All the items were good and tasty.

Jeera masala, stir fried potatoes, chicken, basa fish, prawns, sweet dish of gulab jamun and kulfi-rabdi and to top it off a mitha paan.
The flavours were amazing in every dish that we had. Balance, aroma, texture. Amazing amazing amazing. Chicken and basa fish were cooked to perfection. Daal tadka was also excellent with Jeera rice. Can't ask for anything better.

Very few fine dine places around here so we decided to try this one out.
This place has a decent ambiance. And at around 8ish they also start with their live music which is good.
We had ordered Chicken tikka (they do have some different fancy name to it: lal mirch ka saundha murgh) and Chicken biryani. Both were tasty. Chicken was fresh, tender and juicy.
Chicken tikkas were spot on with presentation. Biryani also had decent portion. 1 starter and one main course was good enough for two.
But the place lacked wow factor. It was too dull tbh. Would need a strong pull to go back here. Overall not a bad place though.
Awesome place.. been there thrice and would love to visit whenever possible. They live upto their marks and standards. The food is really yummy. Everything is served on time. The staff is also polite enough. Definitely recommended. Worth every penny

Service and the ambiance was really pleasant
First visit to this place in DADAR.We had fear of traffic but it was easy. Ample parking though Paid. Ambiance was just perfect for a monsoon dinner with live music which is only on FRIDAYS AND SUNDAYS, as told to us. Food ordered with the help of steward was beyond expectation. Totally different from the routine. Don't miss the mutton shorba (soup). Starter and main course were lip smacking. Complimentary Papad chatney were a big welcome while waiting for the starters. To end the treat PAN was also very tasty. A small suggestion. Excessive use of Sugar in Salad needs to be checked. Thank you for lovely Dinner.

When it comes to authentic Indian cuisine, no one masters it better than Chef Sanjeev Kapoor. Banking on this sole fact, we visited the chef’s chain of restaurant, The Yellow Chilli, Dadar.
Spacious yet cozy, the ambience is perfect for a family meal. With a vast menu and our inability to choose the perfect appetiser, we called for the Non-Veg Platter.
A delightful mix of four types of starters, you can customise it according to your choice!
We went for chicken kebabs and prawn. Every single bite had a distinct taste, perfectly cooked and packed with flavours. We absolutely loved this platter and highly recommend it to all of you.
Moving onto the mains, we called for the Methi Malai Kofta along with assorted Indian breads. Personally for us, the kofta was overly sweet and not that pungent with flavours. It was not moist and we couldn’t have more than three bites in a row. Our suggestion would be to choose a non malai gravy in order to cut the sweetness off your main course.
Overall, the staff was very helpful and attentive. We look forward to trying a lot more from the menu, especially the rice selection.

This is my first visit with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday.....we ordered Chicken Tikka, Cheese Chilli ChIcken Tikka, Mutton Sheek Kebab and Chicken Malai Kebab which was so juicy and tender.....in main's course we ordered Nalli Rogan, Bhuna Ghosht, Tariwala Chicken all gravy was flavourful and well cooked meat.....Garlic Naan, Butter Naan & Laccha Paratha, Jeera Rice & Daal Tadka is very nice.....in dessert we call Gulam Jamun which is so nice prepared an perfect to serve......overall experience is Paisa Vasool.....and the Manager Mr. Raul Noronha & his team is very Helpful..

Great leap from my first visit at the yellow chillies of thane outlet. The food was exceedingly awesome. We had taken veg platter as a starter which is mix of four different types of starters. Amongst them, the palak cheese role was very tasty. It's a must try. We also had Peru pyala as a mocktail and then had full heavy veg biryani for the maincourse.

A place which is not so expensive still maintains its food quality. Very polite staff and the service staff is also amazing. Do try their special dishes which the waiter recommends.
The ambience of the restaurant is good, the restaurant is located inside a mall so noise from outside is slim to none. The staff is cooperative. The drinks and soup were amazing. Fish was nicely cooked, I personally feel that the chicken starters were a little uncooked, but decently manageable.

It has been my first visit to yellow chilli at dadar on the instance of my of my colleagues. The choice was not disappointing at all . Lets talk about the rates .. not very expensive and when there is zomato gold with each one of us and why worry at all .
The food , extremely fine balance of texture , taste and variety . We had the prawn kadai , tari wala murg and rogan gosh .. all were with distinctive flavor and amazing to taste . I especially loved the prawns .
The place is big and the ambience is warm and welcoming . Polite staff gives you the right suggestions to pick from the vide variety of menu items .
The restaurant also serves lunch buffet / fixed menu at a reasonable rate of less than ₹700 ( incl taxes ) . But this time we close ala carte .
Overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be back to enjoy the wonderful cuisine at Yellow Chilli ...

The papad and chutney they used to give for complimentary which is nice you can timepass with that till your order came
Kadha pakoda was ok but i cant find the sourness of buttermilk it was simple and thinny layer i can see it has mustard seeds and onions in it and the pakodas were round and the stuffing was onion and chillies in it
Basmati rice were soft
And the last they serve you mitha pan which is awesome

Finally we ordered Gulab Jamun, which was served hot and finally completed the whole afternoon meal.
You have option to choose from the Maharaja meal menu, I thing every variety will be equally good in taste.

🤩 Even it tasted Yummy, Raita was served with a decent quantity. I would say 1 Biryani Serves 1 person perfectly which are foody and for non foody 2 people can easily finish it.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon & decided to try their set limited menu. The food was amazing. The chicken was tender & the quantity was really perfect. The atmosphere is soothing. It would be more lively in the evening it seemed.l as could read there about live performance. Must try!

We ordered Virgin Mojito, and different kinds of Vegeterian Starters : Harrippa Paneer Tikka, Methi corn Croquettes, Veg cheese karara roll.
The menu is quite vast and you have a lot of options to start from and end on.
The service later took a bit of time after the initial order.

One of the best four course meal I have tried so far!!! The meal is totally worth the price. I went on Thursday and tried their Thursday menu. The quality of the food is too good and the variety of options are wide. The angoori rabdi has to be my fav part of the entire meal. The main course was super filling and the starters were the best. Also the welcome drink shikhanji was super refreshing. The Yellow chilli located in Dadar, by Sanjeev Kapoor is a must try place!!!

One of best and so affordable restaurant I found in Dadar, the food presentation and taste was top class. Staff is very cooperative, Deepak served us best garma garam food and Mr.Narpendra pal is very humble n co-operative . my personal fav and I highly recommend you to try their Peru pyala and kurkure veg lollypop.
The restaurant has turned really bad. The food they serve is poor at not as per the Sanjeev Kapoor's recipe. We have eaten here several times but the last few months they are serving anything for the sake of the dishes and charging an average 500 per dish. I was served some lehasuni paneer instead of their signature adraki dhaniya paneer and the manager reported to us that since the chef has changed - the taste has changed too. We don't come to eat the chef's recipes but Sanjeev Kapoor's standardised flavours. You cannot swap ginger for garlic. They shamelessly added roasted ginger juliennes to the curry. Alongwith it, we ordered for Cheese Tomato Naan which had no cheese. Really disappointed. A truly good restaurant has lost its charm and flavours. Service was ungroomed.
Dadar has got one of the best resturant to visit .It’s the yellow chilli Dadar .A Sanjeev Kapoor owned resturant .Rhey have 12-5 a veg set menu meal as well as non-veg meal at very affordable price per person

The food was average. The atmosphere is lively and the ambience is quite good. You can enjoy live music during your time here, staff are also quite helpful if you pre reserve a seat using zomato gold for dine out for flat 20-25% discount
