Tastiest south Indian food around matunga. By far the best crispy Rava dosa, rasam vada and mysore sada dosa are must try dishes from menu. Rasam vada was exceptionally soft yet tasty. Neer dosa was very nice.
Place is pure south Indian brahmin eatery with no onion and garlic dishes mostly but onion uttapa is available. Sambar is a different , some may not like so much thick sambar. Chuttney is great. Overall it was a great experience to visit Amba bhavan.

One of the best and oldest restaurants situated on the highway of matunga.
No fancy seating, very simple decent staff and ambience that believes in serving home style and wholesome food.
Pipping hot and fresh.
As they were not serving any kind of dosas on the day when we visited so can't say anything about it.
But would highly recommend you to try their kadi vada it's the best i had till date 👍
Vada sambar was also good.
Freshly brewed filter kaapi is a must try.
Very reasonably priced..

Amazing authentic south indian food place. Limited menu, right in the heart of King circle on the station road. Simple old decor, comfortable seating. Good sized portion. Taste still the same over years. Nothing fancy about the place. South Indian food lovers a must visit.

While on the way to work happened to see this place and it took me not a minute to decide i am ending my hunger with some delicacy and filter coffee which i saw on each table.

Trust me the decision was worth it.

I have always been fan of such places which take you down years back with their ambience and traditional service, neither do they fail in delivering taste And authenticity they are known for years.

One of the best filter coffees i had so far. Can’t wait to go back and try other things with must have filter coffee.

excellent coffee and the dosa was super crispy , chutney tastey and perfectly spiced and the sambar has the right amount of sourness . The staff are prompt with the service, it is an authentic joint so you wont find the plastic service with a smile here . I had a peek into the kitchen and omg it was cleaner than my house kitchen , so impressive
One can always tell the quality of the food by a mere look at the kitchen .A must visit

Small place but not as crowded. Your typical udupi style restaurant so food is served really quick. The prices are cheaper in comparison to others in the area. Filter coffee is way better than the others I've tried in matunga. The vada was good, idli was OK.

Again a south indian restaurant based in matunga. I am not a big fan of this place but I love love their sambhar. Its the most authentic taste among all restaurants in the vicinity. Staff is simple and courteous. Do visit if you are looking for tasty sambhar.

Tried kadhi vada and uttapam as suggested. It is the best you can find in matunga.

Cheers!!

I will give it a 3.5/5

Amba bhavan is an old, simple and quite popular restaurant in Matunga. Its my favourite of all south indian restaurants mainly for the taste that hasn't changed over the years and the awesome sukha (dry) chutney [See IMAGES] Even the sambhar is quite good but the sukha chutney is one of the best ☺️ compared to any other restaurant.

This review is based on the take away order:Onion Rava ₹60, and 2x Idlis ₹40/plate, and of course, alongside the sukha chutney. ☺️

Both the idlis and the crispy onion rava dosa are absolutely fantastic. Its also one of the few affordable south indian restaurants in mumbai.
Other must try items are Pesserate dosa, Onion Uttapam, Filter Coffee and the yummy hot Kadi Vada 😋

The best time to visit is between 8 am to 10 am early in the morning with filter coffee

Its a MUST VISIT for every south indian foodie. 👍

I believe matunga is a place where you get the best varieties of South Indian food in mumbai. Nthg can beat that. Amba Bhavan is one of the reasons for that legacy

Simple hotel simple furniture simple people n simple but taste village style food is what you get here. U wd see strangers sharing a table with you if the seats are empty n dats completely fine as you yourself are enjoying your food here.

Idli, wada, dosas, Upma, sheera etc all items are good n if very good quality and taste. The bhaji of masala Dosa is awesome in taste n bit more gravy which adds to the taste. It’s some of the rarest place where you get authentic food tastewise n quality wise.

The moment you enter this humble establishment , everything turns black and white like Raju Rastogi's house in 3 idiots and you are teleported to a coffee outlet at the corner of the street in Madurai back in 1964. This feel is surprisingly pleasent.
It's a quiet and simple place with no hustle bustle most of the times.
And as one would expect , it serves the typical south Indian menu.
✓No complains about the idli , dosa and medu vada. ✓Sambar and chutney are far better than it's thriving counterpart Ramashrya.
✓And to end it , yumm filter coffee.

Overall , a satisfactory and cheap alternative for some south Indian food cravings when rest of the outlets in matunga are crowded with long waiting periods.
✓PS - This place shuts at 8 mind you. Quite unusual for Mumbai.
Two thumbs up for Amba Bhavan.

Don’t judge this place by its ambience, ignore it for a while and place your order. Well, if you are not sure, start with the “Mumbai ka worlds best” 😀kadi wada. The service here is average so is the quality of tableware, but not the taste. Don’t leave this place without having their ‘filter caapi’.

A simple and sweet place with limited south indian cuisine...very close to matunga central station... the taste was good....the only thing is that they provide sambar and chutney in a very less quantity which is really insufficient...and when you ask for more they charge it...this should be improved!!

A good place for authentic South Indian filter coffee and quick munch. The ambience is very nice, with a vintage look. We had kela bhaji, which was good, with delicious sambhar. However, the coconut chutney, which used to be superb earlier, has lost it's charm, with lots of chanadal diluting the rich taste and flavour of coconut. The filter coffee was piping hot, awesome and refreshing. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable too. All in all, a good place to catch up on a quick bite and a great cup of coffee.

This is by far the most South Indian joint on the circumference and vicinity of Kings circle where lies the kingdom of udupi cuisine.
With a really homely atmosphere and not much visible renovation since it was built, this place has a peaceful aura that's just so comforting! The staff serving you roam around in lungis and are really friendly people!
Studying in UDCT, I've scoured the lengths and breadths of Matunga in search of a place like this, humble and simple yet so lavish and amazing in its own way.
Don't be fooled by it's extremely humble exteriors or interiors for that matter. Just know that the archaic looks signify the time they've been around doing what they do best, slaying the udupi scene !
The USP here apart from the ambience is the green coconut chutney and their delicious sambar. Simply wonderful!

Of all the dishes I tried here which are if I recall correctly umm just about everything, my favorites have got to be

the rava dosa , the uttapam and the neer dosa along with

the usual coffee to soak in all the goodness after it slides down into my belly.

They also have a very South Indian dish, very hard to find in matunga, the goli vada.
Vada batter fried heavily in oil without a hole. Two of these should make your mouth drip with oil, but try them hot when they're not so oily. They're maida (flour) dough balls and are quite delicious with sambar and are available in the evening time.

All in all, this place is hands down the most homely and the most South Indian place there is that Kings circle and matunga can offer. A true hidden gem!

Hi all,
Went to this place today around afternoon time.
It was less crowded as compared to myaore cafe and ramashraya.

Ordered idli wada sambar:-
Nice soft idli made from rawa and medu wada soaked in sambar was served hot.Taste wise it is still on par with other outlets in matunga.
The chatni was a bit ok as compared to mysore cafe.
But the best snack to start off i would say.
Idli and medu wada.

Rawa mysore sada dosa:-
We tried ordering the rawa mysore sada dosa and i must say i was not dissapointed.
It could give very tuff competition to mysore cafe who is famous for their rawa dosa items.
Nice crisp and huge dosa served with chatni and sambar.
Myaore chatni with spices and coconut pieces sliced in the dosa was just perfect to make your stomach full.
Highly recommended..☺️☺️.
In case u dont like the mysore gravy you can try the classic rawa sada dosa.

Verdict:-
If you are in matunga and you wanna eat South Indian cusines then you have many options.
But this is the place where you will fet the table easily as its not so famous but it doesnt dissapoint you.
I would say this is a good bet in case you hate waiting in queues for mysore cafe and ramashraya.

Nestled in a bustling road in Matunga, this unassuming joint actually was a chance discovery. This place is near the temple on the street that also has the more popular Ramashray. On a Saturday morning, this place was bustling with people. The waiters are quick and serve you with a no-nonsense attitude. There is a menu on the wall, which has many South Indian delicacies such as vada, varieties of dosa, sheera (Kesari Bhat for my South Indian brethren) and many more.

Their sambar is very tasty, and not sweet (this is a big plus). However, what won me over was their filter coffee. It was strong, had the right amount of sweetness, and the waiter also does a small performance with the coffee tumbler in one hand and the cup in the other. For those of you who like the frothy filter coffee, this is the place for you.

Overall this place delivers on the essentials. It does not have great ambience so to speak, so be open to share your table with strangers!

Today is Sunday. Like our homes, some restaurants provide the best they can prepare in this day. Cafe Amba Bhavan is always been in my favourite list with its Kadi-vada, Goli-bhaji, Rawa-pongal (only on Wednesdays), filter coffee, etc. Today, I tested here Pongal and Black coffee. Both were awesome. Found the best Black coffee in and around Matunga Circle. The cozy ambience of the cafe and excellent hospitality of Narasimaji are praiseworthy too.
Thanks Amba Bhavan.

A hidden gem in all the South Indian Restaurants in Matunga. Their Onion Utappa is so good, you can't eat just one. Their Mysore Sada Dosa doesn't have the red chutney inside, it's a green chutney & that's yummy to a different level. They don't serve plain coconut chutney, they serve a green chutney which is way better than what is served anywhere else. Their sambhar is also different from what is served at other restaurants - you will either love it or hate it. There is no midway.

Amba Bhavan was a jewel that I discovered thanks to my brother who told me that once I try the food here,I'll be spoilt for authentic South Indian everywhere else. Having been brought up in Matunga,I fail to fathom how I overlooked this amazing udipi( a South Indian restaurant)! The interiors are untouched and the walls resonate all the history that this place must have witnessed!
I love udipis as they are so unapologetically themselves that they do not care how modern or funky the world around them has become.
Everything that we tried was a sure shot hit and there were absolutely no complains.
We tried sada dosa, mysore sada, neer dosa, meduwada, idli and of course filter coffee and everything was on point. Full marks!!!
The sambar was worth mentioning. It definitely stood out amongst all the sambars I have tasted in matunga without any doubt. The best part is that they are very generous in serving chutney and sambar which I like.
Overall this place is a must visit for all South Indian fans out there!

A quaint little place in the busy road leading from Matunga station (CR) to Kings Circle, this serves delectable South Indian fare. Though slightly modified to the varied tastes of the mainly Gujarati and Kutchi communities that reside around, Amba Bhavan still retains authentic Udupi flavours in their food. Service though minimal and as needed is adequate just as their portions. But this is an economical place compared to the better known giants around it.

I've seen this place for over thirty years now, but other than a fresh coat of paint this remains the same... which adds to its charm. Excellent dosas and lovely upmas make this a must-visit eating joint. It's a bit short on space, and is closed on Thursdays.

Matunga is full of restaurants that serve delicious South Indian food. All foodies must visit this place for a South Indian food experience on a weekend. This is what we did last week. There are 4-5 restaurants that are the best in Mumbai for Down South Cuisine.

Amba Bhavan was a splendid restaurant that we tried. It's a bit congested. Things can go haywire if it's crowded and one needs patience. Service is normally fast. I now understand why so many friends of mine from UDCT are fond of Dosas and Idlis.

These guys serve delicious Rava Dosa, Ulundu Dosa, Onion Uttapam and Pesarote. You cannot afford to miss these delicacies here. Check out their Kadi Vada, Neer Dosa, Adai Butter and Mangalore Bajee and Dal Vada too.

They also serve something called Melugapudi. It's a spicy dry powder that goes well with a Idlis and Dosas.

Highly recommended!

A cool , sultry Sunday morning, overcast that you know it can rain anytime soon weather.

Decided to go for breakfast with friends. Picked this place for two reasons
one had not been here before and
secondly the other more 'popular & branded' diners at Kings Circle, Matunga had a 30 minutes wait.

Got a table immediatley so both objectives met.

The place is very basic in ambience with 'lungi' clad waiters. The furniture is dated which is fine by me.  Gives a good authentic feel. Ordered idlis, medu wadas & dosas. The Ulundu dosa was different , do try it. The classic fare one should have such eateries.

The food is ok in taste, there are better places I have been to. The service is quick and efficient.

Topped it off with filter coffee which was very good.

Overall a place worth a visit at least once or you have no other choice due to the wait time at other eateries.

Most people flock to Madras Cafe or Mysore Cafe, but this unpretentious little 'hole in the wall' serves up what are in my opinion, the tastiest South Indian snacks in Matunga. Typical to this area, this joint isn't a place you can lounge in; you've got to get in there, eat quickly and get out. Which most people do anyway, since the stuff is so yummy.

Idlis - sofffffftt and how! Sambhar is ok but chutney is really good. A tad bit of spice makes it awesome.

Upma - light, fresh..

Dosa - more on the crisper side.

Masala milk - good amount of pista in it but a little over sweet.

I know I will be coming back here. And so I recommend this to you too.

Amba Bhavan is not as famous, but equally good for authentic South Indian food. They serve one of the best filter coffees in Mumbai. The furniture, crockery, interiors are not fancy, but they're clean and it's definitely fun eating here. They won't give you a menu to read, instead, their menu is framed upon a wall. You can read that menu and order whatever you like. Most of their staff are South Indians and wear a lungi. They will always serve with a smile on their face. Their Mysore Sada Dosa is definitely worth a try.

Of all the several South Indian restaurants here, this is probably the least famed. But that does not imply poor quality. It is perhaps the one that seems the oldest, but not due to its age, but due to its inability or unwillingness to adapt with time. Hence, it caters to similar people who prefer to stay close to their roots, on a regular basis. Shining like a hidden gem, this place is budget friendly and a special filter coffee joint.

Service: Two men, dressed in lungis, are more than equipped to deal with long orders, off the unchanged menu that has been up on the board for a while. The quickness is satisfying, and helps you, in satisfying your hunger. The waiters are efficient, and do their job. This may not be a place with hospitable staff, but you need to know that before you walk in.

Ambience & Décor: Old designed tiles, wooden bannister, a partly visible kitchen, and a quite open restaurant in all respects make this a definite Udipi style eatery. Whether that floats your boat, is a whole different thing. If it gets crowded, and you may end up sharing a table. And it gets crowded often.

Food: A plate of IDLI SAMBHAR and WADA SAMBHAR. A delicious chutney, coupled with a well made sambhar helped in having the decent wada. The Idli was certainly the better of the two. Order a plate of only Idli sambhar and I'm sure you'll be content.

MYSORE SADA DOSA. A green chutney which packed little spice but much more depth. The dosa was crisp and not oily or buttery. Well made. The chutney and sambhar were good. Not a bad option if you like Mysore Dosas. The powder was green in colour.

TOMATO ONION UTHAPPA. The arrangement of the tomatoes, was similar to that of pizzas. The uthappa was crisp around the edges and soft in the centre. Really well made. Onions were cooked until they lost their strong taste, and worked themselves well into the dish. Probably my favourite thing here.

BUTTERMILK. Too salty. That's the only negative. Otherwise, light, cool and refreshing.

Amba Bhavan is not the most popular, but somehow I appreciate it even more because of that. It's not bad by any means, but if you struggle to come to grips with the significantly yesteryear mindset of this place, then maybe it won't be the place for you. But that still shouldn't prevent you from trying it out, maybe just not over some of its competitors.

Ventured into this eatery on Matunga station road,as there was too much crowd at Cafe Madras,.... loved the old world ambience with no-nonsense, marble walls, black and gray floor.. checkered, polished wooden mezzanine with teak wood pillars to support, benches, and waiters in mundu and shirt, took me to Udipi,..
The quaint menu wall is 70's.. Write all dishes available on a board and then, they half take out the board if it's not available, like the railway indicators in the 70's!!
The rasam wada was great,. 4.5/5
The mysore masala dosa and Rava dosa standard.. 4/5, though CTR of Malleshwaram is my favorite.
Malaga podi awesome, 4.5/5, was bit fine ground though, got 2 packs to carry home..
The tomato omelet that my husband ordered was ok,me not a fan of the dish..
Filter kaapi 5/5!!
Overall, a good experience, for this place is not as famous as other Udipi restaurant close by,but is stiff competition to them.
Prices very reasonable compared to Western suburbs

This is an absolutely amazing hidden gem in Matunga! Seeing the mad crowds (as always) on a Sunday lunch time at the popular neighbor Cafe Mysore decided to try out this place. We were seated promptly and after glancing at the menu on the wall decided to opt out something different, so Kadhi Wada it was. And as it was hot summer afternoon needed something soothing so Curd Rice to go with it. Dishes arrived pretty quickly in true Matunga udipi service speed! Kadhi Wada was an absolute treat with two still crisp wada submerged in tangy kadhi. As hopped for curd rice was cool soothing and just great with the accompanied pickle!

Were just walking on the road when we saw this place. Something about the place just makes you want to go in and try....Its a quaint place with two levels. The top level is made of wood and it is beautiful !!

Had coffee and Wada-sambar. Also got Wheat-Halwa as a take-away. The taste was good. Service prompt. No frills.

Nice place...made me nostalgic...

Amba Bhavan another legendary udipi at Matunga.. Shardha bhavan and Amba bhavan both are owned and run by the same family. This place is really old. The wooden open mezzanine and the black white checkered flooring speak a lot about that era. Some old irani cafe's too have similar interiors that belong to that era.

These restaurants do not have a menu card but instead write on black boards or have signboards. If a dish is exhausted in the kitchen they either wipe it off from the board or pull the sign out. So there isn't any need to ask the server about the availability of the dishes.

I recently had the Kadhi wada.. being my favourite, dal wada, onion rawa masala dosa and mysore sada dosa. Unfortunately Bisibela bhaat isn't available on fridays.

Kadhi Wada- Very Good! Soft udad dal wadas soaked in thick kadhi which is a little sour and sweet with a hint of coconut. Yummy! Just how I like it. I had two portions of it.

Dal Wada- They were too dry and tough! I disliked them. I have eaten better. They were served cold and were hard to break with a spoon.

Rawa Masala Dosa- Again not the best I had! Ramashray makes it better. Was thick at some portions. Not too crispy. Average! The masala tasted average too. Had large chunks of potatoes. Average dish!

Mysore sada- The mysore chutney applied in the dosa here is not the regular red chutney which is done at most udipis. It is a light green coconut chutney here. It tastes ok. I prefer the red one. Dosa was nice and crispy. Was good but not the best!

Kokum Sharbat- Good!

I wanted to try their peserettu but was too full. May be next time. The sambar and chutney are good. Good VFM. Good place with good food.

Even though I live in Bangalore, I don't typically eat Idlis for breakfast but there is something about being in another city and having the luxury of South Indian Cuisine.

Since I was staying with a friend in Matunga and was given the lowdown on the history of the area and its South Indian influence, I jumped at the opportunity to try out the food at Amba Bhavan.

From the exterior, it looks simple, ordinary. The interiors reflect this simplicity with tables and chairs squeezed into a rather small dining area. The tiny upstairs balcony section is the best. It's a bit more private.

I ordered a simply Idli Vada smothered in Sambar with some chutney on the side. Gobbled it up and ordered for a second round - very nicely done.

Two cups of Kaapi and I also tried this Ginger Lemon drink - brilliant.

The waiters are bare foot and clad in lungis - classic!

Amb Bhavan, I shall be back again soon for breakfast. Keep those idlis and vadas warm until I do.

Cheers and Stay Frothy (the coffee kind)

RATINGS:
=======

Food (3.5/5) Service (4.0/5) Pricing (3.5/5) Ambiance (3.0/5)

FOOD: A South Indian eatery serves all the typical South Indian items, which is less known to me but I preferred to judge them with the basic option of Idli Sambhar, Rava Sada Dosa and a Filter Coffee. Idlis were absolutely soft and fresh, the softness itself states that the cook knows all the tricks and tips to make the perfect idli. However, Sambhar was not so exciting, it was more in thickness and less tangy that actually made me feel like having a Dal Fry it was bit on bland side and less spicy as well but the light green coconut chutney was fresh and up to the mark. Next was Rava Sada Dosa, which was good in taste but was very very oily, making it soft then crispy, it also prevented me from taking the pictures of it as it was so oily. Filter coffee is fresh and taste crisp, it helps is vanishing your laziness. It would say filter coffee here is amazing and competes with other South Indian restaurants in the area.

SERVICE: Service is fast here, I had my breakfast here on Sunday morning and I could witness a long queue waiting outside the restaurant to grab a table, So the captains make it quick for you, One thing which I would appreciate here was the smiling face of captains that actually made my morning.

PRICING: Pricing is reasonable I paid approx Rs.60/- for my breakfast, they do nit have any tax structure.

AMBIANCE: An old style South Indian eatery with basic ambiance using wooden table and benches on sharing basis. The place is absolutely neat and clean with a spacious walk through.

open mezzanine floors along with no A/C3 things you need to know about this place.
Go here for breakfast (place closes at 8:00)
Definitely try the upma and masala dosa here
Have coffee after the meal here instead of ordering cold drinks. Its refreshing

A old school joint which still manages to give new places a run for the money

Amba Bhavan belongs to an era when tall ceilings, lot of emphasis on wood-work, open mezzanine floors, checkered black and white / gray flooring, good quality and inexpensive food was the order of the day. Internet was not introduced in India; the only way of knowing where good food was provided was word-of-mouth publicity. Amba Bhavan has stayed in that time zone ever since its inception.

Amba Bhavan & Sharada Bhavan are owned and managed by the same family and hence there is similarity in the taste, the interiors even the attire of the waiters. Interesting part of the menu at the both the places is that it is displayed like a board on the wall. If any particular item / dish is not available to be ordered or has the raw material has exhausted, then the that particular dish is pulled half out of its slot indicating its unavailability.

They offer some unique dishes which you will not find in most restaurants; Goli Bhaji, Kadhi Wada, Ullundu Dosa & Dal Wada to name a few. Their sambar is a bit sharp on the taste and is devoid of any jiggery. The chutney is decently thick and largely made of a blend of coconut shavings and fresh coriander.

The 2nd part of the name has been largely missed out while listing the place; “COFFEE CLUB”. This part of the title of this place is equally important & has some significance as well. They serve a pretty strong coffee which packs a nice punch.

This place is a legend in its own right, deems a visit for sure!

This is my first visit to Amba Bhavan matunga. Just yards away from Kochu Guruvayurappan temple at the entrance of Bhandarkar road this hotel is located. Called as one of the ancient restaurant of Mumbai, on weekdays they serve different menu while weekends have different menu. Bisibela bath is their speciality. I tasted sambhar vada, parcelled idly and vada separately. Tasted Ginger Lemon Kokum juice. A refreshing drink unique and must to taste in summer. Don’t miss this eatery place if you are visiting Matunga.

AMBEY BHAVAN COFFEE CULTURE ♥️ if you love Southindian food you should come here for sure... one of the good Southindian resturant near king circle... they have free street parking outside so you just have to look for it.... the service is quite fast...and ⚠️sometimes the staffs are quite impatient while taking order... but the food tastes good... they have two space for sitting downstairs and upstairs....for going upstairs you have to use the steep staircase...and the space above is very less... the cost isn't too much and you get your stomach filled... you should try filter Coffee☕️... the ambiance is quite old and conjusted but food makes it up.... Over all it was Really Good ♥️

This is another gem serving authentic South Indian food. Had met friends over breakfast. We relished Pongal, idlis, adai dosa and filter coffee. Adai dosa is a must try. It's an healthy option too as it's made from a mixture of lentils.

In morning, I was looking for a place to have breakfast. Suddenly, i passed this decent looking cafe/resturant. I orderd a masala dosa with filter coffee and pineapple sheera. And, oh my god, the food was yummy. Dosa was perfect in crisp and pineapple sheera was too good. But i would definitely reccomend them to improve the quality of Fiter coffee. The staff and the ambience was awsome. The vide was truely retro. I could feel that I've traveled back in time.

A very few hotels open up early in Matunga and one being Amba Bhavan Coffee club. A small buzzing place with simple udupi style breakfast options, it’s heart warming. We stopped at 6.45a.m and with a few old men post walks, stopping by here for hot filter kaapi and idlis! The spongiest of idlis and sambar is to die for!! We also tried their puris, so good!! We missed out on dosa as they start a bit late on dosa. But this humble little place, nothing fancy, quick eat and go..Deserves a stop by all!

I have visited the place 4 to 5 times before, and as usual this day also it was fully occupied. Had to wait nearly 5 to 10min to grab a table. They serve tasty South Indian delicacies like Dosa, Idly, Vada, Tea etc. Taste of these items are really amazing. They serve really quick and charge only a nominal rate. I used to have there jalebi, but on this visit I could not get the same. The place is really popular and near to Matunga Temple.

Amba Bhavan Coffee Club in Matunga, the second oldest Udipi Restaurant in Mumbai, has been serving Pure Vegetarian fare for over 80 years. No fancy gimmicks here. Not the place, nor the presentation..but if one is looking for food closest to what is served at the Shri Krishna Temple in Udipi, specialy the Sambhar, you have come to the right place. Started by Shri Ragvendra Rao in 1935, today his son faithfully carries on this legacy of dishing out authentic South Indian meals at reasonable rates! Personal favourites- Maara Maari (upma sheera combo) followed by masala dosa or onion rawa masala dosa to be finaly washed down with hot filter coffee!
