The ambience, the food, the service was bang on. Extra star for arranging a birthday cake at the last minute... Was disappointed that was nit able to savour the dal bukhara as it was not available. Rest we tried chicken lahori and cheese chilly for starters. Cheese chilly could have been a little pungent as it was on the sweeter side but no complaints. For main course we tried chicken baldi with butter kulcha which was thankfully easy on the butter... All in all a fantastic evening thanks to rivaaz!!
Absolutely loved the place.. The ambience and service is great plus the food is absolutely amazing at a reasonable cost.
Nice food & service near to MC Railway Station Just walk-in distance.
Food was awesome and i loved it.
Service was upto the mark
We have ordered time and again from these guys for our office parties. The quality, quantity and taste are just superb! The pricing is also not one that burns a hole in your pocket. In the pics you can see their Veg Biryani which is cooked in the traditional way, Paneer Angara for main course and Bhindi Fry for starters which was truly a winner! Highly recommended for both their food and service. Keep it up guys!
Reception and all service staff were very helpful and cordial. Our beachfront room on the third floor had a balcony and a great view of the pool area, the ocean, and sunrise- magnificent. Food in the tavern for dinner and breakfast was good. Especially liked the lowcountry shrimp and grits. They surprised my friends with a slice of chocolate cake with "Happy Birthday" written on the plate when we casually mentioned that it was his birthday!
Soo guyz i have recently visited to this restaurant which is located in Mumbai central.
The Ambience was amazing.
The staff was also very polite and fast in service.
The quality of the food was good.
RIVAAZ! Gives a complete justice (rituals) to Mughlai Cuisine ☺️❤️.Thanks to Chef Avtaar Singh, who kept the consistency of taste and plating equally. Starting from Ambience to their Service and the FOOD 😍 everything is great. Every dish tested was amazing.
Been to this rovaaz for like thrice and worth but it's an expensive hotel and restaurant located in mumbai hospitality is the best makes you feel like you are a vip lol tbh and it's the best u should try it and i have almost tried everything let me tell u one they have the best sizzleers
I have been visiting this restaurant for many years now and every time it is a very pleasant experience esp Mr. Vishal and Mr. Chaudhry. Because of such staff your restaurant will always be a hit. Cheers
Galoti kabab is a must try here.. if you get lucky try thier buffet really awesome one..also on weekend you enjoy the live music on the floor
I had been here for a family dinner and I must say it was the best place to go for. We ordered Achari tikka as starters, murg peshawar, butter chicken and roti ki tokri. All of these were extremely tasty and flavorful. Achari tikka was outstanding. I will definitely go there again.
Totally loved this place. Great food, great service, very friendly staff , not expensive. Food is very tasty and has just the right amount of spices to make it delicious. Highly recommended.
It’s a very decent and good restaurant to have quality food ❤️ loved the food and service
The restaurant is very clean and maintained
I recommend to visit here once
Had a comfortable stay in this hotel after which we had lunch at Rivaaz. We ordered some rice, rotis, tandoori chicken and palak paneer. Watermelon juice to drink. From what I experienced, the food was definitely good. Tasted just fine. But I don't think they put in much effort into presentation. Honestly, presentation is so important when it comes to building an appetite. So that was disappointing. You guys really need to work on that. But four stars for the taste and cleanliness. Also, I think they have a 50% discount for customers who stay with them. :)
The place is small and cozy. It’s inside The Sahil hotel.
We ordered:
Chicken Banjara
Chicken Angara
Roti Basket
Nalli Nihari
All the dishes were cooked well. The Nihari is their signature dish. A must for mutton lovers. The chicken dishes were amazing. Overall good food and ambience
Food was okay
Nice ambience
Courteous staff
What we ordered
1) Roti ki Tokri ( All types of naan )
2) Rivaaz Sundae
3) Paneer makhani
4) Balti Murgh
Complimentary papad

Rivaaz is in-house restaurant of Hotel Sahil, it is one of the most underrated restaurant in South Mumbai. If you are in and around Mumbai Central and want to have a peaceful meal in this hustling and bustling area, then my recommendation would be rivaaz. Seekh kebab(lamb) here is one of the best that I have ever had
Very stylish decor. Very nice. Seemed like a nice Fine Dine Restaurant.
.
Nice portions, good staff!!!
Very reasonable in price.
This place is one hidden gem. We highly recommend a try
A perfect place to go with family. Extremely gud ambience gud food perfect and Timely service best is their food taste do try their Biryani and tandoori pompret
Decided to have the diwali fest here...the experience was very good...ambience nd presentation were excellent...ordered a variety of chicken dishes in Chinese it was really good...the staff was polite it was a good 1st time experience...
Love the food taste and the quantity. It's total would the price. The best part was the staff and the ambience- lovely ambience with good service. Love Ved visiting
Went there in the evening at 6.30 so couldn’t order very heavy food instead opted for tikkas
The murg makhani tikka , pahadi tikka , kesari tikka and gosht seekh kebab
Not a single complaint against any of these food items ordered regarding its portion , per piece size and taste
Each tikka was juicy and succulent
Im sure if these items were so good than the main course also would be amazing
P.S - the staff at the restaurant was a little disorganised and not upto date
Absolutely amazing place to dine. Every dish that I tasted was wonderful. Rohan guided us really well in selecting the best of the dishes. I highly recommend their butter chicken and mutton bhuna. Everything is overall indeed wonderful.
We visited this place for lunch on a working day and my only regret was that I should have come here on a weekend and enjoyed all the food in a relaxed manner. I am hoping it will happen soon.
We tasted a lot of food and although all the dishes were good, some were outstanding!
Starting with Chicken burnt garlic soup, we had a huge round of starters -- dhokla, patthar ka ghosht and butter garlic prawns. I particularly enjoyed enjoyed patthar ka ghosht -- succulent and not over-spiced.
For the mains, we tasted Nalli Nehari, Butter Chicken, Lahore Aloo Methi, Dal Multani and Chicken Fried Rice. I would really recommend Nalli Nehari -- it was tasty and had the right amount of spice. The restaurant has a Chef who has specialised in this dish. A must try!
And for desserts, we tried two dishes -- Taj Mahal and walnut almond halwa. When I read "Taj Mahal" in the menu, I thought the name was corny. However, the dish was truly amazing. It had various layers of ice cream and cream.
The ambience is good and the service is efficient. Chef Manish Patil is doing an amazing job, dishing out some good food!
Go here to enjoy some real good food!
Well, this is one place where I finally got decent north Indian/awadi food. They are wide range of options in their menu. Some dishes employs innovative combinations..
From sorbas to starter to main dish- everything was good.. sitting was also comfortable and staff was courteous. In fact I ordered as per their recommendation and everything turned out good .
Service is slightly slow but manageable.
Residing in Mumbai Central is more like a treat for non veg lovers with some really good restaurants serving delicious Mughlai food & Rivaaz being one in my favorite’s list.
Just love their Mahi Gul Nar & Karware Prawns to the core.
The ambience and the staff is great. They specialize in Non- vegetarian meal which is just amazing. Had a nice experience. Perfect place for family dining.
We stayed at the Sahil for a few days and ate from Rivaaz almost every day. Their entire menu that we tried is fantastic. We especially liked the kitchdi, jaipuri bhindi, Nalli Nihari and Chicken biryani. My mom especially loved the tandoori pomfret. Service was always impeccable. We would move in and live in this restaurant if we could.
Rivaaz..as per its name..rivaaz of good food..had a grt time with the friends..staff was quick and responsive..must try ..veg was awesome here..will go once again with my family
we had a coupon from little app.dining and service very good but when we ask the manger for packing the remainig food he said No not allowed. Why please? are theygoing o throw it in garbage? or are they goibg to pre heat and give it to other cutomer who come for dinning.its not fair we paid for our food we should be allowed.this is being repeated everytime tat no pack it up policy not good so kindly look in to this matter
I had been to Rivaaz recently for a family dinner. The restaurant is situated on the ground floor of Hotel Shahil in Bombay Central.
As you enter the place, you are welcomed by a pleasant and comfortable setting. Since we booked a table after ensuring Capt Rohan’s presence in the evening hrs as he was very helpful and attentive during the last visit.
The starters Tandori Maharaja, Mahi Gul Nar ( Tandoori Pomfret ), Karware Prawns as suggested by Capt Rohan was truly mouth watering and they were exquisite. The main course consisted of Chicken supremacy with roti and pain biryani rice which really thrilled us. It all was followed by a yummy 4 deserts viz . Rivaaz Sunae, Mashuk e Khumas, Royal falooda and firni which was ordered according to individual choice. Among all 4 deserts, ferni turned out be small in quantity and we had a good fun, teasing my sister who ordered the same for herself !!! Sharing is caring so we enjoyed sharing and tasting each one of desserts till the last bite.
All the dishes and deserts were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of high standard of cooking and serving the same in the pleasant surroundings which made all the differences.
The restaurant has performed all the ‘Rivaaz’ with style and smile. We had a great dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavours and I can strongly recommend going to Rivaaz.
nice food , nice ambiance, nice service, what else you should expect. people are good and co operative. i dont be leave what few people complain about. forget it. i and my family we happy and satisfied. sahil team we will be back for more. thank you very much.
Been here like soo many times
I love everything about this place from ambience to its food and their service everything is great ...
In starters we opted for kebabs they were melt in mouth kind a great and also some chicken starter.
Main course included mutton bhuna with some rotis ..
In dessert we opted for a. Wide spread from mushk_e-khass ,to chocolate mousse ,apple pie and fried icecream . Everything was yummy
Do visit them for a fine dine experience..
Big thumbs up..:):-)
Best food best ambience all time favourite restuarant for both veg non-veg.Quality of the food best.Service is also good.Guys do visit it,it is worth.
This restaurant is really hard to locate - you won't find any nameplates outside. Look for "The Sahil Hotel", a stone's throw from the cross-road outside the Mumbai Central Railway Station. The restro is part of the hotel complex, and you have to walk into the hotel's main hall to arrive here.
The interiors look very classy and are well decorated, but veer slightly towards a business-type setting. A quiet ambience and high-quality cutlery are pleasing, too.
The menu is rich is Awadhi cuisines, and initially I thought: "Here we go - another poser!"
I was so wrong!
I ordered Murg Rizala, Galauti Kabab and Chicken Patiala with Naans. Every dish is masterfully executed... truly a work of finesse! The meats are so soft, but it is the gravy that blows you away! I can't validate the authenticity of the preparation of the dishes, but I can safely vouch that wherever they come from, they taste very different and very good.
The Galauti Kebabs are VERY delicate... and simply melt away in your mouth. That is obviously how it is supposed to be... and you'd be surprised how many 'professional' restaurants don't ever get it!
Prices are on the higher side, and I found out that the quantity is not that great either. If you are single, you can finish 2-3 dishes without feeling too full (Grrrr).
Overall, a great semi-luxurious place to experience (and really enjoy) traditional Indian and Awadhi delicacies, but only occasionally ;-)
Quality - 5/5

Value for Money - 2/5
As said earlier by other reviewers ,we risked our self and tried the food in rivaaz . it was so ossam and mind blowing experience men. the ambiance is really great and refreshing environment with always packed restaurant. but we had to wait just not more then 5 minutes. the waiters were attentive and always alert and smiling . we ordered paya shorba which was nice thick and flavourful with added mutton trotters in it. we ordered dahi ke kabab as my wife was vegetarian and my friends ordered karware prawns, dohera sheek kabab, patthar ke ghosht that was out of these world so succulent.
in mains we ordered their latest fresh arrived favourite amritsari sabz wadi curry, motiya paneer makhani, prawn gassi, murg bemisal, and ghosht jahan nisar with warqi parathas and dal garwalee. we were 6 people on table and were so much stuffed . good job sahil team u people are doing excellent job. thank you very much for feeding us such a good food.
i will recommend you to all my friends and relatives staying in near by vicinity.
WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN .......and again......... and again.

It's on of my favourite restaurants.
They serve really good Mughlai food. The Chefs work really hard to keep up the consistency. Some of their must try stuff are -
Galauti Kebabs
Pathar Gosht
Malai Tikka
Gunfa Kebab
Gilafi Kebab
Murg Rizali
Murg Lahori
Biryani
How can I miss their Nihari? It's one of the delicious Nihari available in Mumbai.
Ambiance: 5/5
Service: 4.5/5
Food: 5/5
Excellent place for succulent Indian food. We started the meal with soups, which were OK. We had the Chicken and Paya shorba. The Ch. Shorba was made with coconut milk (least expecting). Taste was good. For starters we had Ch Malai Tikka, Egg plant wid hung curd raita (forgot the name), Mutton galavati kebab and Patthar ka ghosh. All of them were excellent! The desserts are as good be it the fry ice cream or the falooda.
The prominent things I loved was this onion infused in some vinegar which gave me a taste of cumin and garlic. And this dahi kachumber which only has onion rings mixed with thick, seasoned curd, ideally this comes with the malai tikka, we requested for an additional serving. Pathar ke ghosh was a melt in the mouth.
A must visit for veg and non veg, Indian food lover. Pricing is not too steep. Yes quantity is limited but looking at the quality, taste presentation, ambience and service, simply worth it. You leave the place feeling good and not too heavy.
Rivaaz is located in Hotel Sahil. This is at Mumbai Central, right opposite City Centre Mall.
To be honest, we have know this hotel for long but never though of even going in. Maybe cause we didn't expect much from it.
We decided to have dinner here and went with not too high an expectation in terms of the place. And boy were we wrong or what!!
First the Hotel is quite modern and impressive considering its size. Plenty of parking ( in a place like Mumbai Central that along should be enough), Valet service!!!
We walked in quite impressed. Then on seeing Rivaaz, we knew we were so wrong about this place. Very stylish decor. Very nice. Seemed like a nice Fine Dine Restaurant.
So we sat with our now raised expectations and ordered
Malai Panner Tikka and Tandoori Barwan Kumbh ( Stuffed Mushrooms) . Both were delicious.
In the main course we order the Panner Makhani and Dum Aloo along with Stuffed Cheese Butter Garlic Naans, Roomali Rotis and Panner Kulchas (not on the menu though)
Except for the roomali which was a harder than it should be, everything else was absolutely delicious.
Nice portions, good staff!!!
Very reasonable in price.
This place is one hidden gem. We highly recommend a try
Good place, good ambience, great food.
Over all a top notch place for a family dinner.
Good staff as well.
Its great on taste, but light on wallet. Hence.ita win win situation. Go for it.
Absolutely loved this place and this is coming from a person who is not such a big fan on Indian cuisine but when the food is this good one can't resist.
Stellar food and at almost affordable rates..."almost" but good food deserves a good price I guess.
My one and only tip would be the quantity. It was very very less in my opinion. 3 starters and 1 main we guessed should have been enough but it wasn't for sure.
Everything we ordered was totally worth ordering.
Order- Butter garlic prawns, galavati kebab, Pathar ki gosht and dum gosht ke biryani
Anu's must try tip- Galavati kebab was just sooo yum and melt in the mouth I almost felt like calling up the chef and telling him how amazing he cooks.

This place is an extremely neat fine dining restaurant priced at lesser than most regular joints. It is attached to Hotel Sahil and the service and hospitality definitely stems from the hotel and its quality.
We tried the Ganfa Kebab and the Amritsari Machili along with some Naan. Both the dishes were excellent. The Ganfa Kebab is a specialty - minced chicken stuffed in chicken leg - it is so so flavourful and extremely delicate that it will most definitely leave you hungry for more. The fish was also excellently done.
This place is something I would definitely recommend everyone to visit.
Good food with good service.
Nice ambience realy good.
Realy felt like a sitting in a great place.love the staff too.
Taste of food is realy very indian.
What a lovely place! I didn't expect it to be soo good. The food is delicious, the service is great, the ambience is breath taking! A must visit place.
Ordered chicken lahori, paranthas and biryani for lunch. It was the best mughlai food I have had so far in Mumbai. Ordered their signature tajmahal for dessert. The taste of the pan, icecream and petha complemented each other. Would definitely visit this place again.
Delicious Indian food...amazing service...a must try for Mumbaikars...a lot of variety in the menu to suit every palette. Excellent food and desserts. Kudos to the chef and team!
Rivaaz is one of the best fine-dining options near Mumbai Central area. Ample parking space with very elegant-looking dining area.
Service- prompt, classy experience.
Ambience - well-lit, not noisy, great place for family or professional get-together
Food - very affordable, yummy, serving size was also good
Costing - justified for a fine-dining experience
Worth trying - biryanis (both chicken, mutton), chicken starters
To begin with we had a reservation for 08:30 for 15 people. The person who took our reservation goofed up and made booking for 08:30 morning !!!!! 😉😉😉wonder who has dinner at 08:30 morning ??? And all this was despite telling the person time in 24hrs 20:30 !!!!!
The restaurant manager was very unhelpful but the other manager I guess lobby manager was very prompt and apologized to us promptly and even was prompt in passing off a 15% discount.
Now talking about the food part and ambience.
AMBIENCE: very well lit and well done up restaurant seating was a bit uneven and the management can use the space In a much efficient way.
FOOD: in simple words super tasty. Few of the dishes we ordered Gunfa kebabs were out of the world. Gilafi sheek kabab's were so soft and tender they melted in our mouth. Nalli nihari could have been a bit better. Naram dil murgh makhani was something very unique.
We enjoyed the dinner and the best part of the dinner the Bill 😂😂😂😂 super affordable.
Would love to rate this place and give more than 3 but only let down is the service, best Mughlai food to say.
Best starters and main courses dishes as well.
Chicken Biryani is strictly ok would not recommended to order.
Perfect place for a quiet lunch with friends...the place is easy to locate, the ambience is good, the staff is extremely well behaved, professional and attentive. The service is at times delayed, but the great taste covers for it :)
We have been here many times, out of the soup section, try the amazing Paaya Soup, authentic taste! (loved it)...the kebabs are just great...in the main course, the Murg Maharaja and Rogan Josh are worth trying, the naan are fresh and soft makes the lunch absolutely a delight...! If u still have some space in your tummy, try out their desserts, falooda and Rivaaz Sundae...and inspite of all this, you will be amazed at the pricing, its quite afforable!!!
Would highly recommend this to all the non veg foodies!
This is an extremely great and quite place to enjoy a nice dinner . I have eatan at this restaurant quite a number of times.
FOOD : 4/5
Their Tomatar Dhaniya ka Shorba is a must try if you are veg .
We ordered Paneer Malai Tikka in starters last time when I was there. It was good enough, very tender and good in taste, Just make sure you mention to them especially that they should extra roast it, else you feel its a bit raw in taste and dont enjoy fully. The masala papad was good. Their sabji's are very good and rich in taste.
AMBIANCE & SERVICE (4/5)
Their Ambiance is very good. The restaurant is located inside the Hotel Sahil on the ground floor (very close to Mumbai Central Station, and just opposite to City Center Mall) . Its a quite enough place and we have generally never found enough people there (even on a sunday evening).
Service is good and you are taking taken care very well. Its surely a must visit and I can easily say its a bit hidden place which should be tried by many more people.
Good food and value for money.
Nice place. It's like a lotus in a pond. To make sense, surrounding area is dirty, murky harrowing traffic. Was contemplating to visit Rivaaz since a long time but the surrounding area did not permit. Enter the place, it's well designed, soothing ambience and cool atmosphere. That's what we want in a Mumbai summer. Perfect once inside.
Service was prompt. With some glitches which were ok. It hapoens in most restaurabts. We ordered a tandoori dish forgot the name. It was chicken legs stuffed with chicken mince and grilled in the tandoor. Flavours were great. But alas the main course, nalli nihari was not upto the mark at all. The shanks were undercooked and chewy instead of melt in the mouth. The gravy was okayish. Makhmali parathas were good. Overall a nice experience if only the nihari was well prepared. But will surely go back to try more and re rate this place.
The food is great...Tried chana masala paneer tikka, tandoori chicken and evrything was perfectly cooked...loved the jaipuri kurkuri bhindi too...Ambience is decent
Good ambience and you get the positive vibes the moment u enter the place. Food is super good and the staff is well trained and humble. One of the best places to visit in mumbai central. The best part is you don't get a shock when u get the bill, lol!!!
I had gone to this place to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The staff were very helpful and suggested their best dishes. We wanted to try their Indian as well as Continental fare. We started by having Cream of chicken soup - the soup was heavenly and chicken pieces were so succulent that it melted in our mouth. This was followed by chicken Gunfa kebab and butter pepper prawns - both the dishes were very tasty. For the mains we had called for grilled chicken and grilled fish - both the dishes were very tasty, presentation was very good and quantity was also sufficient. We also ordered Gosht Jhaan Nisar - the pieces of mutton was extremly tender and the gravy was also tasty. On the whole we had a good time at this place and the meal was very much enjoyed by all of us. I would definitely like to go there again and again.
One might be confused as where to dine in the busy and crowded streets of Bombay Central area.. so this is the perfect destination. Hotel sahil, restaurant Rivaaz. The chicken gufa kebab is worth trying and if you are visiting it on a weekend then you can have nalli nihaari.. A bit oily, but a delicacy.. the desserts are amazing and overall the restaurant is less expensive.. so definitely one should visit it..
A great fine dine restaurant, at an affordable price. The Chicken Gulfa was extremely unique and was great. The chicken malai kebabs were perfect, with a great accompaniment of a sweet onion coleslaw type of thing.
In gravies we ordered the Murg Maharaja. This dish is a must have, with tender chicken and a really great tasting gravy, it was a bit spicy too. The Bhuna Ghosht was average, a bit undercooked, but passable. The rivaaz sundae dessert was like nothing i've had before with fruits, icecream rabdi and dryfruits, it just hit the spot.
Overall the food was really really good 4.5/5
The Ambiance was soft and the decor was decent 4/5
The Service was great, and very helpful 5/5
The price was also pretty decent for a fine dine restaurant 4/5.
Overall a really great experience!
What a blissfully lovely place in the middle of the buzzing Nagpada!!! The lighting is soft without being dull, and the ambience is that of an upscale restaurant. We called for a non-veg 3 course meal. The food was really good, with soft, flavorsome chicken, and a fragrant biriyani. We had no room for desserts!!
Expect the unexpected...A fine dine in Mumbai central...Gunfa kabab is delicious and heavy.. but must say they offer a vairety of north indian recipes with their own twist. Surely a must try for hardcore non vegetarians with an awadhi cuisine
food is good ...............but costly .
will recommend if they reduce price by 15%.
