One of the best korean cuisines in the city! Their bibimbap, dubu kimchi, tteobakki, mandu and dora cakes are delicious. Korean barbecue at table is also very tempting but only of you are in a group. Their portions are perfect to share or to have by yourself. The staff is very helpful.

Went to have Korean food as a food experiment this afternoon after some heavy duty shopping . Being a weekday it was pretty empty and started filling later on.its joint with kofuku and has an ambience resonating Korean culture from the channel played to the menu. it was my first take on Korean food and I was not disappointed. as soon as you enter they give u the lotus stem stir fry, tuna salad and khimchi complimentary and tht stir fry was yum.the service is very prompt and informative. Deepak our server was well aware of the indegreints which serves well for ppl like me who are not aware of the cuisine.we went for the grilled shrimp which was cooked to perfection and served with a spicy sauce, the pork ribs which fell of the bone, noodles with black bean sauce.the noodles were perfectly cooked and Al dente, the sauce was out of the world. For dessert do not miss the mochi icecream which has a thing chewy rice covering and mouth watering ice cream in it..it's served with a red bean sweet sauce which is very interesting.all in all 2 starters, one main course and 2 mocktails came upto 3k which was absolutely value for money.will definitely visit again for the ever smiling service by Deepak and for the food.

Heng bok is located on linking road of bandra west and is easy to find as it is above shoppers stop.

It is a very unique place serving korean food. I had never tried korean food before as it is not available at many places.

There is a lot of options which are available. If you want to try something different than the routine indo chinese this could be a good place to make a visit to.

Ambience - 3.5/5

It just seemed a bit dingy to me. Especially with a window peering into kofuku, it makes you wish the vibe were better.

Service - 5/5

Zero complaints here. You don't have to wait too long to be served. Your sauces and accompaniments are replenished before you even have to ask. Just top notch.

Food - 4/5

Mixed platter barbeque bapsang - We called for beef, squid, and spicy pork belly. The meat goes really well with the sauce that is served. My personal favourite was the spicy pork belly. However, I do feel like all the meats could have been seasoned or marinated a little better.

Dolsot bibimbap - This mixed rice dish was yummers. I added a bit of the bapsang's sauce to it which took it to a whole new level. 10/10

Mochi ice cream - It's regular ice cream with a thin mochi covering. This was okay.

Dorayaki - This wasn't a bad dessert either. I really liked the combination of the berries, the pancake, and the red bean paste. I don't see myself order it again though.

Makkoli - This is some sort of rice beer. It's really smooth.

Value for money - 3.5/5

Korean food isn't easy to find in Bombay. But that still doesn't completely justify the high price tag here.

Score - 4/5

Great place to visit for any kpop lover. Has the Korean vibe in the air. The ambiance is great with authentic korean styled food served filled with deliciousness. Positive vibes swinging around with great korean music to enjoy your food with. Great variety of food. The menu has been prepared in a very thoughtful manner. The menu has pictures of the dishes beside the dish's name which helps a lot. Coming to food, following were the dishes I tried

1. Omeurice : I loved the plating, the rice was covered in an omelette which was very pleasing. The taste was very nice the food smelled enticing.

2. Tempura kimbab : the prawn was fresh and cooked nicely. The dish looked very good and colourful. It was very tasty

3. Mochi ice cream : it's a dish made out of sticky rice dough formed around an ice cream filling. It was lovely.

This is definitely an Eureka! place for us! We finally have a great no frills Korean joint who know their sauces!!

We were keen to try the barbecue, so picked a table along the back row which had the inserted grill. We picked the spicy pork and the chicken bulgogi - Veronica came over and set up the grill plate and the meats along with whole garlic, onions, mushrooms and chilies. Each dish has 5 large strips of meat which Veronica expertly grilled and cut into small pieces. We wrapped them in the accompanying lettuce along with the sauces to bite into lovely wholesome bliss. We were given accompanying khimchi, sprouts and mushroom/ veggies in small plates - we invariably asked for second helpings.

Followed that up with some chicken dumplings - which were fine - blandish to give a break to our palate. Our next order was the seafood pancake - it’s mainly got shrimps. Really good, crunchy and not too oily - have it with a fiery red sauce (not as spicy as it looks). Though the shrimps seemed very small or less, the dish tasted good.

Finally, we came to the chicken bibimbap in the stone bowl - it was expertly mixed up at the table, with the right amount of firey sauces. This dish is so homestyle - it’s like comfort food. You could ask for the poached egg to be given separately in case some folks don’t like it mixed.

To wrap up, it had to go for the mochi ice cream. Very good but wish the ice cream ball was a bit smaller so that we get a better taste of the mochi coating.

Costs for a belly full would be about Rs. 1,500 per head. The barbecue dishes are around Rs. 1,000 while the rest of the dishes are in the Rs. 500 range. The service is attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. Overall, this is VFM.

Have see other Korean eating houses in some other countries and this place reminds me of them - straight to the point and the focus is on the food.

After a meal like this, we have to respect it by having a lovely afternoon nap!! I am sure I will be back for more. Cheers!

Have visited this place a couple of times now. The food is phenomenally amazing. Pabitra Pani - The manager was very helpful as always, very sweet and humble to talk to, educates you about the new sushi's that we can try everytime one visits. The servers here are awesome, Menu is just perfect as always. We had 2 platters of Uh-Oh (not sure if I'm spelling it right), Dak Toritang with sticky rice and a few other dishes. As authentic as it gets; this place is a must to visit, and I'm sure you'll be visiting the place over and again to relish some mouthwatering Korean food.

I am a big fan of korean culture and kpop of course. I have been wanting to visit the place to see how all of those dishes that I have only heard about would taste like. It did not disappoint. We had Khimchi jjigae, bulgogi kimbap, crunchy avacado sushi, all this accompanied by soju. Everything was meticulously prepared, delicious and not at all heavy. The tempura ice cream was just the cherry on the cake. What added to the experience was extremely polite & prompt service, and non-intrusive attending to the customers. We will defintely visit soon, not just for the food but also the experience.

Sharing the same premises with Kofuku, the place serves Korean food while Kofuku serves Japanese. Service is swift and attentive. The menu has tiny pictures of the dishes, which is very helpful if you, like us, are very new to Korean cuisine. We ordered a soup, that came with a bowl full of rice, a heavy meal in itself. The bibimbap came in a hot stone bowl with neatly arranged pieces of vegetables, rice and condiments mixed and served at the table. It was really good! The ramen was however a big disappointment. The Korean ramen, we were then told, is supposed to be made with instant noodles. The vegetables did nothing to make the instant noodles cooked straight out of the packet any better. We will definitely come back for the bibimbap and try out the rest of the menu!

Love the food, the ambience, not so much.

Heng Bok does justice to Korean food and their typical style of barbeque on the table.

The pricing is very reasonable for the experience and the quantities are pretty good as well.

The advantage here is that you can choose to order from the Japanese Kofuku next door in case you are craving edamame or nigiri in the middle of your meal like I did.

Great food, I wish the ambience was a bit more brighter. But should visit again soon.

Authentic Korean fare is hard to find in the sea of Japanese cuisine, but Hengbok comes to the rescue. My personal favourite is the bulgogi, and I would also recommend pairing your main course with their mouth-watering sushis (even if I think that is crossing over to Japanese cuisine). The quantities are adequate and hence, the price seems reasonable. Definitely a must to either try a new cuisine or to impress workplace colleagues with your new culinary vocabulary! Korean delicacies: such as the spicy Korean barbecue and ramen, are to die for!

Food recommended:
Meat bulgogi

I had a scrumptious dinner at Hengbok on the recommendation of one of my friends who claims it to be one of her favorites in town!
And she was right! The food here is delicious and the quantity is good.
We had the rock shrimp which are batter fried tiger prawns which was my personal favourite.
The seasonal fried chicken was filling and a safe order.
We also had the live chicken barbeque which was something very unique. We had to eat the freshly made chicken wrapped up in lettuce. I really enjoyed this dish.
I'd definitely want to visit again to try to fried ice cream and sea food hot pot as I've heard so many praises regarding the same!

Never eaten Korean before, so as first times goes loved the food. The staff is extremely polite and know their stuff.
We had a collection of starters - two kinds of Kimbap ( Bulgogi and spicy tuna; the bulgogi was tastier), Pork tongkatsu ( I'm not sure it entirely qualifies as Korean - but was very well made - crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside), Korean wings - loved those and lastly the meat barbeque - basically buff, cooked right on your table served with sesame seed oil, a sauce and lettuce. Will definetly head back to try more..

My first Korean cuisine tryout. They are just next door to Kofuku above Shoppers stop in Bandra.

Drinks included Sake shots, Long Island tea and Mimosa cocktail. Long Island tea was one of the best in town.

Food started with Rock Shrimp. Perfectly fried and the prawns were soft and marinated well. Not at all spicy. Very safe to start out your Korean cuisine journey.

Second appetizer we tried was the seasonal fried chicken or "Yang Nyeom Tong Dak". These are pretty large chicken meat balls but not made of minced meat. It is reddish spicy and the chicken is well made. Quite a appetizer to dig into.

We were pretty full with the above appetizers that our desire to have Ramen felt like a far fetched dream. Maybe next time. We settled onto Korean stir fry noodles for the main course. And it was a boon in disguise. The noodles and the taste was just perfect. Kind of like Indian Chinese noodles.

We ended with the ice cream tempura dessert. Had high hopes with it but it was kinda disappointing. The dessert didn't seem like freshly made. It was not crunchy from outside but soggy.

Overall a must try restaurant for something Korean in Mumbai.

My curiosity of trying Korean cuisine was finally satiated here...there are several restaurants that allow patrons the experience of live cooking on the table but none of them live up to the hype quite like Heng Bok...having roasted pork wrapped in fresh crunchy letuce along with sticky rice and khimchi accompanied by a variety of sauces is a hearty experience...a special mention of the khimchi here for having the right amount of sourness and retaining that signature crunch...also the ginger marunated chicken fry that was subtle without the over powering flavour of ginger...the vegeterian ramen although tasted more like a veg maggi dish was nonetheless well made...Heng Bok surely lived up to my expectations...

Heng Bok as it claims to be the first authentic Korean restaurant in Mumbai with it's great decor and food. In my comment I am not being racist but most of their staff was north eastern/Korean to give the restaurant a more authentic look. It has the same enterance with the Japanese restaurant kofoku. Hence the entrance might be confusing. Every table has a barbeque grills in the centre for your food to be cooked right in front of your eyes.

In mocktails ordered seasonal fruit smoothie and guava merry of which the later was a much better drink.

Bbq platter: Its the most popular and renowned dish of this place. It has pork chicken and prawns marinated differently and brought to the table. The chef visits ur table and cooks the meat one by one flavours according to our taste. Very unique . The pork was slightly chewy and undercooked but can ask the chef to cook a bit longer.

Crab California roll: A lovely crab sushi. Really enjoyed it

Seasonal fried chicken: Another great dish prepared and presented differently

Both the desserts I ordered are recommended and outstanding

Dorayaki: A dessert with icecream in between pancakes

Tiramisu: A must try at this place. Very few places in Mumbai serve such lovely tiramisu

Overall a great place if you want to try good authentic Korean food

Wonderfully new experience. Heng Bok is right above Shoppers Stop on Linking Road and shares the space with Kofuku Japanese restaurant.
For people new to Korean food, like me, I've attached a photo of the food descriptions.
Beef/Buff Bulgogi was outstanding, very flavourful and well cooked. The Bibimbap with pork was also very enjoyable. Rounded off the meal with Mochi ice cream (vanilla and mango scoops with rice flour wrapping).
The staff was very helpful. The only thing that felt a little disappointing was the decor.

Heng Bok is an exclusive Korean restaurant located at Linkin road in Bandra. It is, in fact, right beside Kofuku restaurant that serves Japanese food. The ambience is very welcoming with soft Korean music running in the background, just enough sunlight coming in through the windows and sweet employees who are eager to make your experience a happy one.

Our server was gracious enough to explain the menu, the ingredients involved in it and also guided us through the right way of eating the delicacies.

We opted for a total of 3 appetizers, 1 main course, 2 desserts and 2 mocktails.

Appetizers:
1. Tiger Prawn Tempura - The dish was served with a unique soy sauce mixed with garlic and radish. The prawns were really fresh and juicy and the sauce went perfectly with the dish.

2. Fish Barbeque - This one was a delight to watch. The chef makes the barbeque right on our table which is equipped with a burner. The fish was pre-marinated and mixed with vegatables right in front of us on the pan. The fragrance that comes out of cooking makes you want it even more. The fish was served on a big leaf of lettuce with Ssamjang (Korean spicy dippy sauce) and sesame oil, wrapped all together and eaten with bare hands like a wrap.

3. Tteokbokki - We tried this one because it was recommended by the chef and it was definitely worth the try. It is actually preserved rice cake brought from Korea created with different sauces to give it a pasta type look. It is full of flavors and freshness. However, since rice cakes are chewy, this might not be a dish for all to like.

Main Course: Korean Ramen (Prawns)
A bowl full of noodles, prawns, egg and flavor. The quantity was more than enough and the flavour was light yet tasty. I wouldn't call this as the highlight of my lunch as I have had better Ramen elsewhere. Nonetheless, it was sure a good dish.

Desserts:
1. Mochi ice cream - This dish was damn good and I mean it. It comes with two flavors of icecream coated with sticky rice sheets (mochi) - one is Vanilla with a strawberry coating and the other is mango with a mango mochi coating. Even though the ice-cream flavors are the usual, the taste is amazingly different and good. A must try for all.

2. Tiramisu - Although not a Korean dish, the coffee flavoured Italian dessert at Heng Bok, sure left us happy and satisfied with the entire experience. The flavor is not too sweet with just the right amount of bitterness. Again, this dish is a must for everyone.

Mocktails: We had the Blue Lagoon and Pomegranate Lemonade. It did feel good in the scorching heat outside, but I wouldn't recommend it to all. The flavor is not too strong, not too tasty. It would be better to try on of their cocktails instead.

The very first and one of the few Korean restaurant in town, just above shoppers stop, bandra west. Always wanting to try out different cuisines and Korean has always been on my bucket list. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can Immediately feel the Korean vibes with respect to the ambiance, seating, arrangements and much more.
The service is really great and probably one of the factors it seems to be more welcoming.

Food 4.5/5
Ambiance 4/5
Service 5/5

Some of the Korean dishes we went for:
Chicken Bulgogi Barbeque: A live making barbeque in process. You have ample varieties of meat to chose from like beef, fish and much more. The chef personally prepares the barbeque right in front of you and that what makes it really exciting. Korean food is more towards the firey side hence the spicy marination. Cooked with garlic and onions served served alongside spicy Korean sauces and wrapped in green leaves tastes absolutely stunning. It's definitely worth a try.

Sausage kimbab: Somewhat like a version of sushi, with sticky rice, meat, carrot and few veggies wrapped in Nori seaweed tastes good along with soy sauce.

Rock shrimp: Perfectly crusted jumbo sized shrimps deep.fried with proper texture and balance of taste giving out absolutely delightful vibes were just a perfect pick from the menu

Dolsot Bibimbap: A Korean speciality rice comprising of fried egg served alongwitth meat and veggies. The chef personally joins you at the table to mix those ingredients along with the hot firey Korean sauce.

Tiramisu: Tiramisu here was an absolute delight with all the layers making it a perfect mix and match combination bringing a joyful delight to our taste buds. The tiramisu is layered with the tiramisu cake and sweet cream making it look and taste brilliant.

So first up, Heng Bok is a Korean cuisine speciality dining restaurant. Of late Korean cuisine has come of age and Mumbaikars are slowly getting introduced to it. I must say though that it’s definitely an acquired taste and since I’ve been around friends who like Korean food as well as K pop, I’ve ended up eating it and have acquired a taste for it.

The restaurant has plush interiors. The ambiance is really classy and inviting. Service is great - the guys are doing a great job.

Here’s what we tried.

1. Sausage kimbap - this is a typical Korean speciality, much similar to its Chinese cousin Sushi. It’s a meat rolled into cooked rice and then covered in nori seaweed. The seaweed gives it a good crunch and this version of it was really good.
2. Sausage sim so
3. Chicken Bulgogi Barbeque - this was in the typical Korean Barbeque style and I was so so excited to be able to try this for the first time. The YouTube videos that I’ve seen were literally coming to life. Bulgogi refers to meat that is thinly sliced and marinated. We tried the chicken version of it that had a number of accompaniments and we totally had a ball with the entire process.
4. Grilled Chicken Wings - the chicken wings were cooked to perfection and were basted in a spicy red sauce.
5. Korean Ramen - could not leave without trying this quintessential dish. I think most people must be aware of this one as it’s pretty common (also, commonly abused). Ramen in simpler Indian terms is soupy noodles. The Heng Bok version of it had a flavourful broth and al dente noodles.
6. Dolsot Bibimbap - this is another typical Korean dish, referring to a mixture of food items in a single dish with the predominant base being rice. Dolshot refers to Hot stone and this is the bowl in which the dish is served.
7. Fried ice cream - a regular in the Indian dessert scene this was a pretty good rendition of it.
8. Green Tea ice cream with red beans - yet another Indian favourite now a days I quite enjoyed the bite of the green tea along with the light sweetness in the ice cream.

Had a lovely experience with Korean food and honestly I think it’s a trend that’s catching on in India and for good reason. I would recommend people to try it here even for the first time coz I think the first interaction that you have with any cuisine needs to be good and authentic. A lot of time cuisines are ruined by the person making them and we end up judging the cuisine. Hence, if you want Korean then you got to come here.

Visit Day Date and Time:- Wednesday 11-April-2019, 20.00 p.m.

“Heng Bok” a Korean restaurant which is located next to kofuku and above Shoppers Stop, Bandra. It’s owned and managed by same management which owns Kofuku.

This was place was on my list and was superb excited to try out some palatable Korean cuisine.

Ambience:- Its a compact outlet with simple interior, loaded bar and comfortable seating options.

Menu:- The menu of this place has been designed by Master Chef James Biaka and who has included authentic lipsmacking Korean dishes in the menu. In addition to that menu also has photo of each and every dish they offer which can give you slight idea about your order.

We tried out following from the menu:-
▶️Korean Prawns Barbeque:- Its one of the highlight dish from the menu. Here in marinated Prawns are sautéed with some garlic, onions and chillies which are served with some lettuce leaves, soyabean paste and sesame oil on the sides. They have unique style of having this Barbeque, where in you have to place prawns in lettuce leaves with some soyabean paste and sesame oil, further wrap and roll it to take a bite and experience Korean flavours.
▶️Cheese Kimbab:- Its basically Korean version of sushi but it’s bigger in size compare to Japanese sushi. Also Korean sushi has sticky rice.
▶️Yang Nyeom Tong Dak:- Fried chicken balls are tossed in sauce and spices. It has slightly crispy texture.
▶️Korean Ramen:- We tried out vegetarian Korean Ramen, a kind of soupy noodle which was perfectly cooked.
▶️Dolsot Bibimbap:- Its another authentic Korean dish which is served in clay stone pot. It includes rice, veggies, meat, sprouts and egg which are overall mixed with chilli paste and sesame oil. It’s filled with flavours and must surely must try one from the menu.
▶️Ice Cream Tempura:- Its basically fried vanilla ice cream which is topped with chocolate sauce. It’s nice and crispy outside with softness of vanilla ice cream inside. Though simple but worth trying
▶️Blueberry Cheese Cake:- We follow only one rules don’t say no to Cheese Cake. This one was the best out of two desserts.

✔️✔️ Recommendations:- Korean Prawns Barbeque, Cheese Kimbab, Yang Nyeom Tong Dak, Korean Ramen, Dolsot Bibimbap, Ice Cream, Blueberry Cheese Cake.

Service:- Simply awesome and special thanks to Dorjee for suggesting some amazing food from the menu.

Heng Bok, is one of the very few authentic Korean restaurant’s we have in Mumbai and it surely is a blessing. Starting from the ambience, as soon as you enter, you feel connected to the Korean culture because they greet you in the Korean language and it’s a form of welcoming their guests. The ambience gives you a feel of Korean culture with its chairs and tables. Coming to the food, Korean people always serve you some Kimchi which is complimentary, till your food comes, it is basically cabbage which is mixed with some chilli sauce and some beansprout with olive oil, that also tasted really good. Moving on to the starters, we ordered the Kimbab which is the Korean sushi, we ordered the tempura Kimbab which was good, and you could add some sauce to make it even better. Secondly we ordered the Prawn tempura which was crunchy and we paired it with the spicy cheese mayo sauce that went perfectly well with it. We then ordered the Kimchi rice and to go with it, we called for the squid and pork dish which was tossed with some amazing sauce. Overall we enjoyed all the dishes and you could tell that it had a strong Korean element to it which is rare to find in Mumbai. The only pitfall was that we did not enjoy the Octopus barbeque that much since it was too difficult to chew and swallow, nevertheless, over all the food was very delicious specially for a new comer like me, who has never tried Korean food, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, the food and ambience and would definitely give it a thumps up and a must try. Also would like to thank the server Dipak who was extremely helpful and hospitable and made our experience wonderful.

Food – 4/5
Ambience – 5/5
Service – 5/5

I would strongly recommend this place to all the sushi lovers out here. Cheers :)

Heng Bok - Heaven for Korean Food Lovers…

Location: 6th Floor, Above Shoppers Stop, Suburbia Mall, Linking Road, Bandra West

Great place for people who love exploring new cuisines. I am always up to try new cuisines and same way I was very excited to try Korean cuisine for the first time in India. As far as I know, Heng Bok is first Korean restaurant in Mumbai located in heart of Bandra.

I was here last night and being a Tuesday I was surprised so see the crowd at the restaurant, lot of expats. I am sure Heng Bok is a big treat for Koreans visiting India.

I can totally understand the feeling of Korean Foodies here. It reminded me of, how when we travel some country and we crave for we get in India, and we feel blessed to come across restaurant with Indian delicacies.

HengBok is located right next to the Japanese restaurant, Kofuku on the same floor, run by the same team. Their many features most famous Korean Dishes, I totally fell in love with the Barbeque experience here.

My server Ramesh was very helpful and was very patient.

In Appetizers we opted for - Vegetable Kimbab was ok, not my favourite as it was pretty bland for my taste. We loved our Chicken dish, it’s called Yang Nyeom Tong Dak, go for it if you love Chicken. Chicken was topped with some yummy sauce.

We were really full by the time we finished with our delicious Barbeque and Appetizers. Hence, we just ordered for some Kimchi Fried Rice, it’s called Veg Kimchi Bokkeumbap. I guess, this rice is cooked in Fish Oil and I liked the preparation, it’s topped with Egg Fry, that was yummy.

Ended our evening with Chocolate Brownie with Ice cream and their extremely famous and my favourite Mochi Ice cream.

Overall, this place is a MUST VISIT to try out your Korean style meal and don’t forget to try the Barbeque.

I think the biggest USP of this place is it’s staff. So quick and so courteous.
We tried veg dumplings, cheese kimbap, tteokboki and jajangmyeon. We really liked the food .
Next we tried three kinds of their in house soju. Wasn’t a fan tho.
Overall it was a great experience for me cause I didn’t honestly have anything that grand in Korean cuisine to compare it to. But, they have the best staff. Hence , for the sake of the experience , I’d like to visit again.

'Heng Bok' Is a Korean term i.e To be Happy , Bliss...

This was our first visit to any Korean reataurant ...Never tried Korean cuisine ever before...

'Heng Bok' is located in Bandra, its a part of Kofuku which is also located adjoining to ' Hengbok'

A dim lit place with wooden finish decor and small bar in the center..
They have a traditional Korean seating in the interior ..which was full so couldnt get a table there...

Coming to the food ..As we didnt know what to order...just told the server to guide us through the menu and suggest us the best dishes

Mixed Veg Platter Bbq-Its a live bbq on the table...Garlic  and Chillies sauted in oil for flavour Tofu , bell peppers, lettuce leaves, capsicums,
mushrooms glazed in the spicy red paste ... roasted on a pan with oil
black bean sauce and sesame seed oil...was nicely done by the server...served us one portions at a time...

Cheese Kimbab-its basically sushi..is a Korean dish made from cooked rice and other ingredients that are rolled in dried sheets of nori seaweed...It was really great

Crispy Avacado Roll Sushi-This was also type of Korean Sushi with is rolled outside in..served with traditional soya sauce dip

Jajangmyeon- Steamed Korean Style noodles with veggies sauted in Black bean Sauce..Nicely served in a bowl.. was nicely mixed with before serving..Was saucy and little more salty then normal.

Coming to the desserts...Didnt want to try the traditional one but the regular ones...
Tiramisu
Chocolate Mousse
Both were really great

It was the first time so everything was a surprise to us and the server was really kind enough to help us to what to order...The service was really good.Experience was really good
Worth a visit!

Heng Bok, the first and best korean restaurant in Mumbai. You never know the flavours of other cuisines until you try them. Having a curious soul and eager to try out new cuisines and flavours, hopped in here to have a taste and experience of the whole korean culture.
Such lovely and sweet staff, quick service, and warm hospitality. Thanks to Dorjee, for helping and guiding us throughout our dinner and making the whole experience better.
Being a totally different type of cuisine, it’s slightly expensive. Top notch crowd coming in with celebrities too.

I called for the Kofuku Special mocktail, which was prepared with mango syrup and vanilla ice cream. Smooth and satisfying.

Rock Shrimp : Tempura prawns, crisp and crunch to another level with a saucy texture and amazingly delicious.

Beef Bulgogi Barbecue : 🌟 The beef was cooked live on our table, tossed with some garlic and green chilly. Absolutely gorgeous, nicely cooked, the marination was good with bags of spices and flavours. Served with lettuce leaves, wherein you wrap the beef with some soyabean paste and sesame oil, roll it and eat. I loved it.

Seasoned fried chicken : Chicken, made into balls, covered with marination of spices and fried. However, I found the flavours quite bland with no taste of spices whatsoever.

Main Course
Stir fried Chicken with vegetables : Chicken stir fried with loads of veggies and cylindrical rice cakes which were quite chewy. The overall taste of the gravy was delicious with good amount of chicken.

Dak Galbi : 🌟 A korean pot meal, served in a clay pot, that includes sticky rice, half fried egg, spinach and veggies, have it like that or with your own choice of meat. We chose pork and the meal came with plenty small pork slices. The meal was then mixed with Korean chilly paste and sesame oil and then served to us. Stunning flavours and a delight to eat. Highly recommended and must have. The sticky rice and the overall taste makes it very appetising and delicious.

Mochi ice cream : Mango and Vanilla ice cream
that included a covering of flavoured starch, served with sweetened beans. Something different, but yummy.

Tempura Ice cream : 🌟 My Favourite and a must have. It’s a fried ice cream. Sponge cake stuffed with ice cream and deep fried giving the crispy texture outside with soft and oozing textures inside. Absolutely stunning.

Bon Appetit!!

It is a first Korean restaurant in Mumbai and located in prime location of Bandra West.
The ambience and the theme was very nice.
The service was up to the mark.
Never had tried Korean food before and good news I loved it.
If you go here , you have to try Korean barbeque be it fish , chicken as per your choice.
The way they cook it on ure table live is very good to watch.
It also tastes very good.
If you are looking for some different cuisine from normal and you are a hardcore non vegetarian this place is for you.

ONE LINE TAGLINE – Come Hungry, Leave happy!

What makes a foodie a passionate one? On a personal note, it’s the quest for the next exquisite, untried cuisine which creates a hurricane with your taste buds. For years, Korean food remained lurking in the shadows due to my lack of understanding for both the food and the culture. There are still many people who are reluctant to try this cuisine.

WHY I OPTED TO VISIT HENG BOK?

1. The passion to try out some new flavours

2. Heard a lot about its live barbeque sessions

3. Heng Bok is one of the fewest and finest restaurants serving authentic Korean cuisine

4. They surely wouldn’t go wrong with the flavours and this was surely a great place to explore it

5. A couple of Korean and Japanese business friends gave strong recommendations

6. Like most people, the first and final thoughts of Korean food usually started and ended with kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage)

WHAT I LEARNT ABOUT THE KOREAN CUISINE?

There is a lot of love that goes into making Korean food. And each bite is a wonderful gift to receive. What emerged as an outcome was an elaboration of ‘hand taste’ moments, something that went beyond the mere flavour. Every dish resonated the unmistakable signature of the brand identity which had the rich, cultural Korean cuisine heritage at stake.

A point of caution here – Your taste buds take time to accept new flavours, an open mind to enjoy and relish them is a mind-game you have to be a master at. I thoroughly enjoyed it since I loved the balancing act of different flavours and chose what I felt could appeal to me. Over to what we sampled:

Side portion complimentary dishes – Kimchi (slurpy, mildly spicy – best way to start the journey), Potato salad (did the balancing act of easing off the spice quotient from your taste buds), Spinach, carrot, garlic satay (soothing and getting you ready for the magic)

Mocktails: Kofuku special (Tangy, soothing, smooth on texture), Orange basil mojito (failed the test of a Mojito)

Starters

Octopus Barbeque – We opted for this coz we haven’t tried it before. Our server did warn us that it would be chewy and not so crisp post the barbeque but we stuck to our guns. Overall, an enjoyable moment (check videos on Instagram @aryeman9) watch the entire live barbeque session. The flavours were perfect, couldn’t eat much since personally I prefer my meats to be juicy and munch-able. You could choose from other meat options for the barbeque.

Tteokbokki – Mainly supposed to be a street-food offering, it has quirky rice cakes with veggies and meat of your choice. Verdict is – it’s a delicious comfort food - the spicy, slightly sweet, and chewy rice cakes are simply addictive!

Spicy tuna kimbab – Korean sushi in short, stuffed with more ingredients as compared to the Japanese version. This surely is a stomach filler.

Sundubu jjigae – KILLER, MUST HAVE. We insisted on trying this Soupy delight of soft tofu stew with pork. Served with sticky rice, it’s an absolute winner. You won’t stop sipping, don’t miss on this one.

Dolsot bibimbap - a delicious and colourful traditional Korean rice dish with meat and vegetables, it is cooked in a hot stone bowl. Sampled a few spoons, unmatched flavours from what we had eaten earlier.

Dorayaki - best described as a dessert with red bean filling between two slices of sweet fluffy pancakes served with vanilla ice cream. I loved the underplay of the sweetness factor and something unique from the chocolate options available always.

Green tea ice cream – A wise choice, not an overdose on the tea flavour. Again the sweetness has been underplayed which is a welcome change. Worth trying only if the Tempura ice cream is unavailable.

Last few words – Be Bold, Go ahead and feast on the signature flavours of Korea….you will love the way you are greeted and treated from the moment you make an entry.

A big thank you for the hospitable, courteous, knowledgeable and ready-to-please staff.

Heng Bok

My first introduction to Korean cuisine and it was nice. Located right next to its Japanese counterpart Kofuku, Heng Bok is a low profile Korean restaurant on Linking Road Bandra. Heng Bok is the Korean word literally means happiness and it’s true as they serve happiness from their food.

A Korean venture by the team that runs Kofuku, the menu features known Korean dishes along with one line explanations and images for those who are unfamiliar with the cuisine.

The restaurant was dimly lit with dark wooden tables cushioned with either sofas or low chairs for seating. The interiors were simple and practical. The service was very quick. The place was literally full on a weekday too. The place is often filled with people in suits and to our consolation, Korean and Chinese tourists.

What I tried:

Korean Barbeque Bapsang: We decided to ask for Mixed Platter in which we have chosen Fish, Prawns and Octopus Barbeque. Thin slices of your chosen meat were sautéed at our table with big cloves of garlic and mushroom along with sliced chillies. We were expected to wrap the perfectly cooked fish in Lettuce leaves and have them like wraps with addictive dipping sauce on the side. I liked the concept and it was tasted delicious specially prawns. Flavors bang on. Must Try!!!

Tempura Kimbap: Kimbap is Korean Sushi. Kimbap is made with steamed white rice and dried seaweed, which is similar like Sushi. Just two differences between the two the rice and the filling. While sushi rice is seasoned with vinegar, Kimbap is instead cut with sesame oil and the sweeter. As for the fillings Sushi incorporate mostly raw fish and in Kimbap consists of cooked items.  These rolls were quite thick and bigger than Sushi. Do try.

Seasoned Fried Chicken: Crispy, Juicy and perfectly seasoned. This is really one of the best fried chicken I had in recent time. Succulent Chicken meat balls tossed in sauce. It was tangy, sweet and spicy.

Kimchi Bokkeumbab: A Korean kimchi fried rice served in Veg and Non-veg as well. We opted for Veg. it was topped with egg in a tangy sticky rice. It was okay for me.

Tempura Icecream: Vanilla Icecream enclosed inside a layer of sponge cake. It was crispy from outside and the outer side topped up with chocolate sauce. Amazing!!!

Molten Chocolate: It was an indulgent treat. Tasted more coffee flavor than a chocolate.

Overall, I absolutely loved my visit at Heng Bok. The prices here are a tab bit high but well worth the experience. None of it would’ve been possible without the hospitality and warmth of our server Dorjee who was extremely attentive. Gave us helpful suggestions and recommendations.

Verdict:

Food: 5/5

Décor: 5/5

Service: 5/5

Value for Money: 5/5

Korean food is totally different from Indian and if you want to experience that then you must visit.
They welcome you in a good manner.
And 1st they give you sides that is healthy again, they have specific oils and sauces to have with made of soya and sesame.
If you are less spicy person then you should go here. It's on the top floor just next to shopper's stop Bandra.

....

Hengbok and Kofuku are brothers in arms, not only because they are located adjacent to each other , but because even though they offer different cuisines the former Korean and the later Japanese , they are still the same , so despite the differences they are still twinning. And this aspect brought down the experience quite some bit. The food is oddly similar and the mocktails are just same. The place has the same manager but the staff varies, they also have the same kitchen.
..
Even though the menus are different, they have similar tit bits. These two cuisines have many similarities, of which the main themes are wrapped and rolled style. However, each of them has its own meaning and cultural symbolism pointing to its origin. While Japanese food is mainly concerned with Sushi, Korean food is famous for it's BBQ .
..
Coming to the mocktails , they were the same as the ones in kofuku. No surprises there, quite dismayed at that.
...
The rock shrimp, a creamy shrimp tempura was also the same as the one I had in kofuku, slightly with a spicier batter. 🍤 Also, I would have wanted it to be a little more on the crispier side.
..
➡️The crispy roll, a Crab stick sushi with avacado was great! And was my dish of the day. It had crispy batter pieces sprinkled on it, to give it that crunch. The Sriracha mayonnaise drizzled across it, was lovely as well. The soya along with the wasabi was wow. 💯
But I didn't notice a difference in the sushi from both the places , they were the same.
...
➡️The Beef bulgogi barbeque was absolutely amazing! 💯 This is my first Korean BBQ experience and it rocked. The beef slightly marinaded was served with onions thinly sliced, along with sliced chillies and cloves of garlic and mushroom. Our server Dorjee, was quick to toss them around and ensure they were cooked fine before serving it to us. We were expected to wrap the beef chunks along with the other veggies in lettuce leaves, and have them like wraps. Loved the concept and the wrap idea, it also tasted delicious! Must try here.
..
➡️The osam bulgogi was a hot and sweet sizzler , with squid and pork belly. It tasted nice! The bok choi gave a slight sourness and pungency to the dish. The dish lay on a bed of chilly oil which packed a punch. A worthy dish! 💯
...
We also had the hengbok special which is similar to the kofuku curry rice, just heightened sense of spice. So that was a major disappointment , especially because the manager who suggested this was well aware of the food I tasted at Kofuku and still recommended the same here.
..
➡️The dolsot bibimbap is supposed to be recommended to every person asking for something Korean and something different. Served in a clay stone pot , the flavours were those of rice, combined with veggies and chicken along with sprouts and a heavy pasty chilli sauce with sesame oil. I loved the dish. Because it had massive depths of flavours and so many things to offer. A definite recommendation! 💯
..
➡️We ended our meal with the mochi ice cream in a vanilla flavour. Absolutely fabulous!!! Must have! 💯
..
A little suggestion to the staff there, Please be sure to recommend hengboks specials and favourites and don't opt for the ones served in both the restaurants. Dorjee was fabulous is terms of serving and explaining every dish. Thank you. Mr Pabitra, thank you for hosting us. Best of luck.

Heng Bok - Located beside the acclaimed Kofuku - is the only restaurant in the city, serving Korean Cuisine.

The menu has a section for Appetizers, Sushi (the Korean one), salad, soup , main course and rice/noodles. One thing not to be missed is their - Korean Style barbeque available in various meat options. We have tried the Fish Barbeque and it was astonishing. Not only they ,make the dish in the inbuilt pit installed on the table, they use the freshest Ingredients and bestest marination.
It goes without saying that a meal here is incomplete without experiencing the Korean Barbeque and you can choose any meats or vegetables of your choice.

We have also trip Rock Shrimp - a creamy shrimp tempura. Shrimp couldn't get any better. The Seasoned fried chicken was good if you are looking for few dishes close to Chinese or Hakka.

For maincouse, we have sticked to the usual Korean Classics - Bibimbap , Korean Ramen and ,Bulgodi. Maincouse was the best and with that I advice you to try their other Korean dishes as well - Like Korean Hot Pot.

Best things that even happen on a dinner table is Dessert. Desserts were delight here and it didn't take us more than 5 minutes to finish their Mochi Ice-cream and Creme Brule. While the Cream Brule was served with Green tea Icecream and that has a intense flavour of green tea/matcha. The mochi icream was rolled in transparent thin sheet of Fruity starch.

Hengbok - Linking Road. This place is all about Authentic Korean food. You are bound to find expats in groups enjoying their sake and relishing the food. Hengbok comes from the stable of Kofuku. Simple yet classy. The USP is the barbeque. Some of the tables have in built bbq station. If you are having one, to request for that table. Was there yesterday. Happened to try some of their signature dishes.

Prawns Barbeque - procedure is simple. Condiments like Onion/garlic/mushroom are tossed on the BBQ plate. Prawns (marinated) added and stirred for 3/4 minutes. This is to be had with the lettuce along with sesame dip and another spicy dip. Guess they have Gochujang sauce in the marinated prawns which gives the spicy hit. Overall nice. No flaws. Flavours and balance bang on target.

Skipped the Soup and Sushi , Opted for KIMBAP ( GIMBAP ) This is Korean dish like a sushi made from rice and other ingredients ( we opted for Vegetarian - carrot/peas/cucumber) This is then rolled in gim-dried sheet or Nori Seaweed. Either i can have it with soy sauce or the spicy dip which comes along. By the way the rolls are a bit thick. Ultimate Korean street food. Do try.

Tteokbokki - Stir Fried Rice cakes, popular Korean food. This is made from small sized garaetteok. Presume they import the rice cake. Boil and Stir fry with Gungjung sauce a bit of garlic/onions. Lovely glaze and can be spicy. Something new. It's either a hit or a miss.

Since my partner was a vegetarian we asked for KIMCHI PANCAKE (can't get the Korean name) One can call it Buchimgae as well. Simple yet full of flavours. Made of Khimchi/flour batter with celery and salt. No rocket science. Do give it a try.

Mains - Dolsot Bibimbap, guess most of us visit a Korean restaurant to try the Bibimbap. It's a rice dish. Authentic. They do not add salt. Bibim means mixing ingredients and bap means rice. This was served in a stone bowl. Its warm rice/seaweed and vegetables topped with egg. For the flavours they add the chilli pepper sauce. Mix all in the bowl and polish it. Liked it though it was without salt (authentic way to prepare)

Dessert - Patbingsu, this is simple mixed fruit (seasonal) with sweet red beans sticky topped over shaved ice.

Overall - My second take on Korean food. One needs to get adapted to the taste. I guess this is the only place in Bombay where they have a live barbeque. Do try out. I would visit this again for sure.

Heng Bok is the kind of restaurant that you want to just want to keep going back to because one visit is just not enough!
The flavours are so authentic and the meats are so fresh, it’s hard to find fault with what is served.
Here’s what I tried on my recent visit

•Spicy Samgyeopsal Belgian Pork Belly
The dish falls under the category of Korean barbecue and is cooked on your table right before your eyes. Fresh vegetables like mushroom, onion, garlic and marinated meat and tossed together with hot oil and the resultant dish is absolutely delicious.
Perfectly cooked meat, gorgeous Korean spices and a fun on table cooking experience!

•Sashimi Platter
Our platter came with three kinds of fish ie Salmon, Tuna and Yellowtail. The slices were thick and the portion was generous. We lived the freshness of the meat and could really enjoy the natural flavours of the meat since the meat had been dealt with so delicately.

•Mixed Seafood Hotpot
This dish came semi cooked from the kitchen and was finished off on the table. It comprises of a rich, flavourful seafood broth loaded with generous portions of salmon, prawns, squid, crab and mixed greens. The Korean Spice’s together with the aromatic broth were absolutely perfect together!

•Beef Bulgogi (prepared from kitchen)
This dish is an all time favourite. It consists of thin slices of beef cooked with carrots and onions in a sweet spicy sauce. It’s an absolute winner, trust me!

•Pork Bibimbap
The dish consists of steamed sticky rice topped with finely sliced pork, vegetables and an egg. It is served with a chilly pepper paste which is mixed with the rice on the table. The resultant dish has strong flavours of spices and the vegetables, egg and meat almost get lost. However, as a dish, it’s very tasty!

•Tempura Ice Cream
The dish consists of creamy vanilla ice cream wrapped in sponge cake and then coated with batter before frying. It has multiple textures, crisp, creamy and soft and all the flavours work beautifully together.

Overall, our meal was spectacular. We genuinely had no complaints regarding anything we had and the service was wonderful too. All the servers are hospitable, accommodating and very prompt. I can’t wait to be back!

Tucked in Bandra, Heng Bok serves an authentic Korean fare, and continues to be the only restaurant in the city to specialise in it. A meal in the restaurant is sure to be memorable and informative to say the least. For the less adventurous, the restaurant serves a few Japanese delicacies. But ditch the sushi for some kimbab, I say. Kimbab is more like Korean sushi, and is cooked in vinegar and sesame oil. It's a little dry when compared with its Japanese counterpart, but delish nonetheless. The Korean BBQ called bapsang was fascinating. Settled on the shrimp. It's grilled with onions, button mushrooms, and garlic. Post which, it's to be rolled in lettuce and eaten. The main course was all about a flavourful seafood ramen. If you think Korean food is bland, think again. Loaded with shrimp, fish, and squid, this one was the highlight of my meal. Ended it with a green tea ice-cream and that's by far the best I've had till date.

To sum it up, make sure you visit Heng bok and feast on Korean cuisine. Don't miss out on the ramen.

Overall rating: 4/5

My first introduction to Korean cuisine and couldn’t ask for a better one.

Hengbok was what I called the epitome of a dine in experience now. Because the food and flavours were new to me but our server Dorjee and the Head Chef made it seemed like a complete roller coaster ride.

From the appetisers to mains to deserts, every dish surprising us with some new elements and flavours.

Major attractions of the Korean spread included the BBQ and the hotpots. We tried the Fish BBQ which were stir fried and then placed inside fresh cabbage leaves and sauce to add as per taste.

Their version of the tempura prawns - Rock Shrimp was the best I’ve had all year. Thing crisp batter fried prawns topped with the Chef special sweet mayo. The Korean version of fried chicken was also quite lovely.

We absolutely plunged on their ramen. We tried their seafood version of it. A mix of prawns, squid and crab.

For deserts we had the season special - Mango Pudding and the Tempura Ice Cream. The tempura ice cream was my personal favourite, consisting of all the things I personally enjoy - vanilla ice cream enlclosed inside a layer of sponge cake and a crispy layer on the outer side topped off with some chocolate sauce.

The overall experience was just phenomenal and I can’t wait to visit the outlet again for some other specials and a repeat of the ones we had.

Avocado smoothie: a thick and creamy healthy drink loaded with avocado and banana.

Yang nyeom tong dak: an appetiser which has fried chicken meatballs cooked with tangy flavoured sauces mixed. The chicken was soft and juicy.

Tiramisu: a coffee flavoured desert where the ponge dipped in coffee. If you like tiramisu loaded with coffee this is what you shld have.

Creme brulee: creme brulee served with wasabi ice cream. The top was nice and hard on the top and v creamy from inside. Wasabi ice cream according to me didn’t go well with the creme brulee and wasn’t sweet.

Amazing food amazing ambience! A must try for asian lovers!

If you want to experience the best of Korean Food in the city, then HengBok Restaurant located in Bandra is the perfect spot for you. This place certainly serves delicious authentic Korean dishes with a great variety of both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes to choose from.
Started off with their most refreshing mocktails like OrangeBasilCooler and BerryCooler. It is Served chilled and refreshing too. Highly recommended.
Post that we placed an order for appetisers, we opted for DeepFriedKoreanStyleChicken consisting of succulent chicken pieces fried and tossed in spicy Korean Sauces. One of the best KoreanStyleChicken I’ve ever eat. We also called for SpicyPorkBellyBarbeque, which was made on a pan right in front of us. Tossed with veggies and sauces, this was flavoured really well. The best way to relish this dish was by wrapping the PorkBellySlices in lettuce leaves and dip it into the KoreanStyle dips provided by them. This exquisite starter is a must try.
For MainCourse, we called for SpicyRamenNoodles and BibimbapRice. Both these authentic Korean dishes were made to perfection and is surely not to be missed here.
While For Desserts you must certainly opt for MochiIcecreams- which is Vanilla flavoured and Mango flavoured Icecreams, coated with a sticky starch. Served alongside beans, this luscious dessert is a must try here. Also, do call for the CremeBrulee served alongside chilled GreenTea Icecream.

We had a wonder KoreanMeal experience at HengBok, the staff is courteous and helps you with great recommendations too. Solely recommending this place for all those who wish to relish Korean Food.

Mumbai's only authentic Korean restaurant. I'm amazed at how beautifully this exclusive restaurant has setup. Regret for not visiting for 3 years! Finally visited for a dinner and enjoyed each delicacy with their warm service. Trust me its a totally value for money experience.

Theme is dark, grungy similar to the ones shown in Korean movies. Each table has live grill setup for special Korean Barbeque with exhaust on top.

We were attended by the best of best server Dorjee who handles his duties since 3 years and wins everyone's heart. One of the best servers I have met at any restaurants in recent.

Food : Menu comprises some of the best Korean delicacies including Korean Ramen bowls, Pot meals, and most important barbeque on table.

1) Korean Barbeque Bapsang (Fish Barbeque) : Don't miss this one! Its a best experience to see your food being made live on your table. The live grill is powered by gas, korean pan is heated and marinated fish cubes are tossed in oil, sauce onions, mushroom, garlic, chilies. This fish is supposed to be wrapped in a lettuce and dip in two sauces before you bite this goodness.

2) Rock Shrimp : This one is Prawns Tempura with nice spicy mayo. Nice crisp outside with little spicy taste.

3) Seasoned Fried Chicken : This one was a lipsmacking Chicken meatballs tossed in superb spicy, little tangy red sauce. Sauce seemed like Bulgogi sauce. Best option to pair with drinks.

Mains :

1) Korean Ramen : Soupy noodles in a spicy Chicken broth with Pakchoy, squids and prawns and egg. Similar to Chinese Ramen but this one is more spicy.

2) Hengbok special Curry : This thick curry had nice smoky flavours with exotic vegetable and fish cubes. Served with sticky rice makes a great combination. Spice level was perfect.

Desserts :

1) Tiramisu : It was quite good, though sweet without coffee aroma. Smooth, soft.

2) Marshmallow oreo ice cream : Marshmallow and ore blended in ice cream, can't think of any other great combination. Each bite was heavnly good.

Had my one of the best meals here. Certainly the place where I can come again. Manager Pavitra was good host and assured the best service is tendered.

Living in Mumbai, dining in Korea-This Surely couldn't get better. Wanting to try some good korean food we visited Heng Bok, one of the very few restaurants serving authentic Korean.

Hengbok shares the floor with our all time favourite Japanese restaurant Kofuku. Korea & Japan on the same floor.

Dim lighting & classic ambience, hospitable servers & great food- We're exactly looking for this.

To start off with, we opted for the Khimchi & Sundubu Jjigae Soup- Sundubu won here. Sundubu is Simply Spicy tofu soup.

Moving to our appetisers we opted for the: Tteokbokki- Hot spicy rice cakes, Korean Style Mandu- Dumplings, Cheese Kimbab- Kind of Korean sushi.

The Tteokbokki is a must try.

For our mains we opted for the Dolsot Bipibap & Korean Spicy Ramen. The Dolsot is an authentic Korean rice dish. Our Server-Dorjee mixed it really well for us. Both of our mains turned out to be good choices.

For the desserts we opted for the Fried Tempura Icecream & The Mochi Icecream. We would surely choose Mochi icecream here.

We would love to thank our server Dorjee who made sure we were comfortable. We love being served with a smile!

Authentic Korean Restaurant!!!

A nice and simple but fancy place. The seating includes conventional table and chair seating on one side and exclusive Barbeque grill tables (with overhead exhaust) along the wall. Unlike most places serving bbqs (where barbeque is done in the kitchen and table grill helps in keeping food hot) this place actually has an electric barbeque arrangement where our host Mr. Dorjee prepared the bbqs from scratch. A real nice experience to witness it.

Coming to the food part,

We had 2 mocktails... Seasonal fruit smoothie (mixture of fruits) and Guava Mary out of which I liked I liked Gauva Mary better.

We went for Barbeque platter which is mixture of Pork, Chicken and Prawns barbeque which is prepared on the table. (Pork bbq were a bit chewy as its difficult to cook on the grill entirely). The chicken bbq were good and Prawns Bbq were the best. {Recommended}.
(These bbqs are to be wrapped in lettuce, dipped in choice of you sauce and eaten)

We also tried Crab California Roll (see pic) which was the first time I had a Crab Sushi. Nicely prepared, liked it. {Recommended}.

In appetizers we had Seasonal Fried Chicken which was also good.

In main course we tried Heng Bok special Curry Rice, the medium spicy gravy containing chicken, potatoes and other vegies to be had with plain asian rice.

Last but not the least.... desserts...
We tried 2 desserts and both were amazing!!
1. Dorayaki: Authentic Korean dessert having ice-cream sandwiched between 2 small pancakes with raspberry and chocolate sauce. Really tasty. {Recommended}
2. Tiramisu: One of the best tiramisu I ever had. Alternate layers of Chocolate mousse and rum soaked chocolate sponge blended perfectly. Simply loved it! Must try!!
{Highly Recommended}.

This place is a must for every Korean cuisine enthusiast. This place is quite popular and the staff is very well behaved and professional. The dinning area and vibe is quite refreshing and nice. They also have a separate dinning-room that you can rent in case you have a big group of friends. The best part is, it also has a Karoke that can be enjoyed with your friends. Talking about the food, as it is a different cuisine it'll take time for your taste buds to accept few of the dishes, especially for beginners. But personally I would definitely recommend Tteokbokki. It was amazingly delicious. Even though the food is a little expensive, it's all worth it!

The best place to visit if you want to have authentic korean cuisines. It's been many years since i have visited this place and it never lets me down. The ambience is lovely and you have all the settings just like a korean restaurant would. Veg and non-veg options are available. They even sell kimchi to take away. The staff is great. I would suggest you to reserve a table before you go. Quantity and quality wise it's definitely reasonable and filling. Must visit this place!!!

I am in awe of how well thought out every detail in this restaurant it. Every part from entering the restaurant to eating thier mouthwatering dishes. The ambiance is amazing which I guess would be expected. However what i really loved about this restaurant (apart from the food) is the service they provided, everyone from the receptionist to the greeters to our wonderful servers. They were attentive and helpful, they did not mind us asking for some fries , even when it was not part of their menu. Thankyou to each and everyone there for making our night memorable. Coming to the main part the absolutely devine food they served us. Not only were they quick in serving our food but each itam we ordered had a distinct taste and character , A MUST TRY. There were so many wonderful dishes that it is hard to pick a few food one, that being said the tempura prawns and the bulgogi were my absolute fav. Also a special mention for their creme brule, it is like having a sweet piece of cloud. I should say the food is so good that we landed ordering 12 seperate dishes. All i can say is if ull are looking to have some spectacular food while sharing a few drinks please try this place u will not regret it.

The food is really great. The staff is very well trained. They would greet you in the language. The portion size of the food is amazing. The taste is on point and everything is very good. The only disappointing thing was the dessert. The red bean paste that they use is very okayish. The mochi used for the mochi ice cream was again good not great. Can't say about other desserts, but surely recommended to visit!

Great food! Maybe, only place for eating authentic Korean food. The restaurant shares the kitchen with a Japanese restaurant, Kofuku. We loved the starters, Crispy avocado roll, Bulgogi Kimbap and Korean style Mandu(dumplings) and then for main dishes, we had Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong and Dolsat Bibimbap. We finished off with Mochi Ice cream. Except Jjamppong which was okay, I found all the other dishes outstanding.

Excellent Korean food! We loved the live cooking on our table. The food was freshly cooked and tasty: be it the BBQ shrimps or BBQ pork. Even the Sashimi was well-presented and very fresh. The Korean Seafood Hotpot was amazing, though it was quite spicy. Finally, Mochi Icecream made our day!

I am a vegetarian and though there are varieties of dishes for non-vegetarians to munch on , I personally loved this place. For people like me , we ordered crispy avacado cream cheese roll and Tteok-bokki which were scrumptious. Do try their Soju with 🍺!!! For desserts we ordered their special mochi ice cream which totally made a perfect end to our Korean dinner.
