The place is originally known as Zaffran now changed to Ustadi an amazing mughlai cuisine. The seating area is very good and comfortable. All the dishes we tried like chicken schezwan soup, fish kabab sticks and a chicken gravy. We had soft and juicy gulab jamuns as deserts. Overall an amazing place for hanging out specially for dinner.

I found the food to be very tasty but the portion size to be little less but I can understand that because the area in which they are operating is very high end locality. The entire above things were eaten by 2 adults along with water, so you can understand what the portion size of the food would be. If I did not have 50% of promotion, I would say this place is kind of expensive and many people will not find is worth the price they paid for as compared to the portion size. Tastewise there is no doubt about the brilliance of cooking. For people looking for a premium experience, this is definitely the place. The servers are very cooperative in modifying dishes as per your dietary requirement and they are very forthcoming in suggesting what to order. Overall, an amazing experience for the price I paid.

Ustaadi is located at CST area, which was previously named as Zaffran. This place is famous for its mughalai cuisine ... especially the kulchas & Paneer tikka sabzi. Also, they have unusual timmings from 12noon to 4pm & 7pm to 4am.. which is just perfect to satisfy your midnight hungers. Also their delivery is prompt even in this lockdown.

Ustaadi has amazing North Indian Food. I really loved everything that I ordered there. The most favourite is Paneer Seaweed which is like a Chinese starter. Alu Tuk Chaat and Cumin mint raita are okay. We ordered Paneer tikka starter where the paneer was really soft and it was prepared in delicious spices. We ordered cheese garlic naan with paneer tikka masala and the subji was so creamy and delicious. The Roomali masala cheese papad is good too. The Rasmalai is heavenly we ordered double Rasmalai and it just melts in your mouth. The veg food is amazing and we ordered alot of paneer items but it was worth it. The staff is pretty good too.
This restaurant is a heaven for all the non-veg lovers. The staff is very amiable and hospitable. The menu consists of a wide variety of food. The interior is damn impressive and appreciable. We had ordered chicken biryani, gosht shikhampuri and prawns toast. The taste of gosht shikhampuri was good but prawns toast was the best. Even the chicken biryani was very light and full of aroma and flavours. All the flavours were balanced. I highly recommend this restaurant for non-veg lovers. #nonveg #foodislove
As I stepped into Ustaadi , the Interiors were Breathtaking and worth every penny i spent there. The Backround music was annoying but yes the Crowd, tables and each and everything was up to the point.

The food is the best North Indian in Bombay for veg and non veg both. Hara bhara kebab is a must try! Any roti sabzi is amazing. Dal makhni, nachos and pizza are not good. If you want delicious North Indian food then this is the place to be. It is also open till late in the night.

Ustaadi is one of the rare restaurants in Mumbai that serve authentic Mughlai and North Indian cuisine. In just one visit it has become a go to place to satisfy my craving for just the perfect Butter Chicken and a soft chewy and lip-smacking butter naan.
Ustaadi's interior design is the perfect ambience for a home-like feel and a comfortable seating with rustic doors, windows and walls.
The staff at Ustaadi is warm and welcoming and ready to serve you with a smile and they don't make your hungry self, wait for too long.
The best part of ordering starters at Ustaadi is their chutney. The white chutney perfectly goes with anything and everything while the green one is a perfectly spiced and consistent in texture.
Murgh Malai tikka comes right out of the tandoor, marinated in rightly flavoured malai and herbs. The galauti kebabs simply melt in your mouth and the Butter Chicken's taste can be left to the poets to be described rightly. A little sweet yet spiced and garnished with cream, the butter chicken is a must try.
Overall Ustaadi is a good experience and a must try.

Ustaadi is not so far from cst station,place is not so crowded, no need to do prior reservation.
We visited here second time, because i really love there chicken starters, and lolly pop was just yummy..love it ..well cooked, spice on it etc etc love it..
Chicken biryani is okay in test.so we order ghe rost chicken for the starters, ghe rosted chicken is delicious tangy chicken kabab with pure ghee, spices manifest in this.
For the main course we ordered dhabba styled chicken with butter roti, which is very creamy ,lemony spicy, and delicious in test

The ambience is warm and rustic which gives an authentic feel too the restaurant. Shiraj was very helpful, he is definitely one of the best customer service personals I have come across. The food is amazing and the portion size is very generous. They have a sugar free desert (made with jaggery) which is like small rasmalai , it is definitely a hit and must have desert. I will be visiting again soon.

Food is really good, ambience is different, little shady entrance but overall a great place to have your lunch. Boti yakhni pulav is too good. Every bite of rice has mutton. Mozzarella was fresh between two mutton chops. Ginger lemon pop is very refreshing, and yes the very delicious garlic chutney. Must try place.

If you are looking to visit a restaurant for Mughlai cuisine, you must visit this restaurant. Nice ambience, mouth-watering food and courteous staff. The Ghee roast chicken was delicious. The Gosht Biryani was amazing and had a lot of mutton boneless pieces. The Malpua with Rabdi was the best Malpua I have ever eaten.

We had ordered yakhani pulao, which we were trying for the first time. We liked the taste. This could be an alternative to the biryani. Overall service and ambiance is good. It's open until midnight 4. So it can serve your midnight food cravings.

And so polite staff.. just loved their service! It doesn’t end here.. the food is amazing. I absolutely have no words left. One of the best restaurants for Mughlai cuisine. I ordered kung pao fish, galauti kebab, cheese chicken kabab, murg mussallam with kulchas and rotis and a few mocktails. The starters are too good and so filling as their quantity of food is worth every penny. I was almost full just with the starters.. they were that good! I’d totally recommend this place to everyone!

I have a sweet tooth and thus I ordered a variety of desserts..,Oreo milkshake was so good that it just left me in awe,Then there were these Ustaadi Chenna Payesh which was jaw-dropping tasty.., As I took the first bite of malpuwa it had my mouth filled with a blast of various taste of sweetness and as for the choco-nut brownie with vanilla ice cream..it was quite average and Belgian chocolate roll was yum as well.

In frame: Nasi goreng jasmine rice, We tried it with the prawns, you can have it with chicken as well. It is an indonesian dish served with egg and chilli sauce. For a change if you do not want to have the normal fried rice, this is a pretty good option. One thing which we liked about nasi goreng rice is that it's spicy but when you're having it you can taste all the flavours indulge in it and not spiciness. Spiciness can be felt in the after taste, so basically you can taste all the flavours and then enjoy the spiciness afterwards too.
Brownie served with hazelnut and chocolate sauce which was top notch, a really good combination and perfect for sweet tooth. Perfect meal + such a beautiful ambiance = best time

Located next to Crawford Market this is the first time i have being here.. Service is super fast no doubt about it. Staff gives you good suggestions do hear them. We have ordered Tandoori in starters and Murg Mussalam, Mutton Kheema in main course that was more than enough for 3 of us all boys and we do eat a lot. Found the place in the 'late night section' of Zomato. In one line, absolutely amazing food served till 4 am in the morning. That's what defines ustaadi.
Serving multiple cuisines, ustaadi has all of them on point. A very well spaced out restaurant, which is not so commonly seen considering its location. Liked the background music playlist with new english and hindi songs. There's a kids play area as well.
It serves as the perfect destination after late night parties or drives.
Everytime I've been here, I've tried new dishes and never been disappointed.
A few which deserve special mention are murg malai tikka, barra chop (mutton) and murg tikka biryani.
Ghost yakhni shorba is very well made, a must try.
Thyme scented mushroom cappuccino (soup) is a brilliant option for the vegetarians.
The raan - Perfectly spiced, the flavours reaching every small part of it. Cooked until tender enough to melt in your mouth.
Kheema lasagna - Generous in quantity, recommended.
Do not miss out on the desserts!
Staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Service is fast.
Pricing a little on the higher side however totally worth the quality of food and the time at which they serve.

As good as it gets. My top favorite here has to be the kulchas. The taste of shredded mutton with rocket leaves blend like a house on fire. We love the seaweed chicken, risotto, and your regular fried rice, chicken chilly. The best part of this place has to be the amazing hours. With such few good options open so late in the night, it’s such a regular in late weekend nights. We also love to order in all the time. It’s always so good.

We came in for a gathering. We were around 12 people. Certain issues pertaining to Zomato gold occurred. All that aside, the good was good. We ordered for gauloti kabab(4/5), chello kabab (5/5), stuffed chicken kulcha(4/5), fish tikka (3/5), matka chicken and murg paitila (3/5). We ordered for two Moktails, they were apple mojito and kacchi kairi. (3/5). Overall it was okay. Wasn't too great but it wasn't too bad either.

One of my friends took me to this old school ambience restaurant which is located near to CST. The ambience was so calm and comforting to the eyes. The staff is very passionate. The menu is a little overpriced. Food makes us drool. Marine drive is near by frim here. Dining here and then taking a walk at Marine drive on Saturday night is the perfect weekend plan.

Best restaurant i have ever been to. The service is really really extraordinary. There were many people there but they managed us all very well and the food was so delicious that our hands couldn't stop eating. We had an amazing time and experience there. One should have a visit there.
Food was good but not worth the hype. Fine dining with a classic old school restaurant ambience. Tried the tikka biriyani but maybe due to high expectations was not heart filling.

If you go towards town anytime and its late night, this place is a saviour for u r hungry stomachs . We went to marines, unaware of the fact that that after 1am its not allowed to sit or roam even on the road adjacent to Marines. To come back home ola was charging around 2.5 k and trains would start at 4am being a Sunday. There were no options around since everything closed at 1am . The only hope was something would be open due to the Liverpool and Madrid football match may be something would have open screening. After reaching CST wen we googled Ustaadi showed up and wen we called they said they are open upto 4am that was the best part . The staff was welcoming, food was yum and tasty . They do not serve Liquor tho , the restaurant was still full . Ambience was very unique and antique . Do visit this place incase u are around crawford market.

All above items are worth trying especially Shahi Tukdaa and Nasi Goreng. It should be on top of ur list.
Just dont go by suggestions of waiter bcz he was suggesting Murg Musallam which is very expensive in Menu Rs 795 and we would be full if we would have ordered that dish. We could have not explored other things. He shud have suggested as per 3 people dining.
Also i told over the phone that i need cozy place as its someones birthday but when i went they gave me place which was in front of main door. Finally we have to changed the place and informed tjem what was requested over the phone. Lack of co-ordination on a week day.

Had heard a lot about this place. An old restaurant in Crowfard Market area famous for it’s non vegetarian delicacies. The serving captains are good as they suggest some good options to go for. Ambiance is nice and there is a good place for parking right outside the restaurant.
Excellent food and service. I specifically liked paneer biryani. Also, a different ambience adds to dining experience.
