Unlike other restaurants/outlets, symphony delivers tomato soup like home. The quantity is 1.5 times that of a usual soup bowl - quite filling. It's delivered along with a braided bread, butter, breadsticks as well as bread croutons and a tiny packet of amul butter. This is an experience in itself.
Chicken manchow soup has fineeeeely minced vegetables and egg isn't lumpy do it isn't an unpleasant experience. This is delivered along with fried noodles, sauces, mouth freshener.

A very good dining place for family and friends in August Kranti Marg, Kemps corner. Food quality is very good. It's really total Value for money. Coming to service, it is very prompt and staff is also very polite and courteous.

Symphony is sure to bring symphony amongst all your senses. Its a fine dine family restaurant with amazing atmostphere, food, music. The food is just so delicious. The menu is exhausting. We had jain food and we just couldnt stop enjoying the food. Service is moderate and can be improved. You should sure visit this family to have a meal you ll sure enjoy.
The entrance is very beautiful. And with the intricacy of the lighting accompanying it, the place looks even more beautiful. The service was quick. Staff was kind and very polite. Suggested some good options and treated us well. Very happy with the service, no complaints.

A perfect place for family dinner & lunch. We tried Chicken Makhani which was nicely blended with the spices & Roomali Roti was soft & perfect. Loved their Virgin Mojito it is my all time favorite. Virgin Mojito Rocks!

Been a regular at Symphony...nothing has changed as far as food is concerned...ordered for jhil mil kebab,chicken dum biryani and paneer dum biryani...the biryani is still the same with full of flavours and cooked to peefection.
As the name of the place is symphony!! How can it not be musical. The ambience was really good. It showed the true symphony through it. The service was really good and quiet fast. A perfect family place. The best thing about the place is the rumali papad they had😍❤️. Which was awesome. Also the rumali roti and the starters were really good. The quality and quantity both were pretty good. Overall the place was a blast.

Being a vegetarian and non vegetarian restaurant they offer North Indian, Chinese, Continental and Seafood cuisines and have recently revamped the place to give a better look and more comfortable seating. Valet parking is available which is definitely needed in the place where this is situated. The Staff here is polite and provides suggestions from the menu as per your preferences and they have soft background music which is soothing.
I tried the Cream of Tomato soup which was given breadcrums as well as drum sticks and butter on the side which tasted nice. They have a large roomali roti (Papad) which is a star dish and shoud be definitely ordered - crispy and delicious and can be ordered plain (sprinkled with red spicy masala) or masala (containing tomato and onins finely chopped and sprinkled with red spicy masala). We further tried achari mushroom and paneer and both were appetizing with a tangy and limy taste. For the main course we opted for Symphony Surprise which is chef’s special dish which came with a sweet white gravy and a spicy red gravy. This dish tasted decent. We also ordered Paneer Butter Masala and I think it was the best paneer butter masala which we had till now with a nice tangy taste of the cravy and finely chopped rectangular paneer which were soft and delicious. With this definitely try their cheese garlic naan which is another star dish from them - you can have these plain or with the vegetables and you will not be disappointed. For the desserts we recommend you should try their Rabdi and Kulfi which are served in 2 seperate bowls where the absolutely thick rabdi compliments with the triangular pieces of malai kulfi and its heavensome.

Going to symphony is a lot of nostalgia for me. Having been brought up in charni road I have been going to symphony and Grand Central since donkeys years. Though the look and feel of the place has been renovated over 2 times as far as I remember, the best part is the people and wait staff haven't changed. Same old smiley captains and the best host one could have Mr Sunil Gupta the owner . He greets almost every customer and makes sure everyone is comfortable. I won't really need to write about every dish I've eaten at symphony, but this review is more about appreciating the consistency and quality of food service and ambience that they've maintained for so many years. Qudos to you guys and my best wishes always with you :)

Located in Gowalia Tank, Kemps Corner at 72, Sheredon House, August Kranti Marg; Symphony Restaurant is open from 12pm-3pm and 6.30pm to 12midnight and has a Veg and Non-Vegetarian North Indian, Chinese, Continental and Seafood cuisines to offer. They have a valet parking available and also offer home delivery options. They do not have table reservations and evenings are busy so you ill generally have to wait for some-time before you get a table allocated unless you are early.
The restaurant has recently renovated their restaurant and have made spacious comfortable seating with brightly lit lights and its brand new avatar gives one a pleasant foodie experience too. The staff is polite and nice too. They have a nice ambience for a good dining experience with a soft music playing in the background and the ambience is warm and inviting. The Menu has wide range of options and they also make Jain food.
What we ordered: Cream of Tomato Soup, Large Roomali Papad, Achari Paneer Tikka, Achari Mushroom, Symphony Surprise, Paneer Butter Masala, Cheese Naan, Roti, Rabdi and Kulfi
Cream of Tomato Soup was nice and served with bread, drum sticks and butter on the size and tasted really nice. We loved the Large roomali papad the most which is also the star of the restaurant and as per our knowledge this is the only place in town where this type of papad is served. It is crispy and tasty with onion, tomatoes, red spicy masala and served with lime pieces on side which tastes utterly delicious. A must try dish and its much appetising too. Quantity and quality of paneer in Achari paneer tikka was pretty good and same goes for Achari Mushroom which was great too – with a tangy and limy taste it was lip smacking. Then came our main course - Symphony Surprise is their own chef’s special dish which came with a sweet white gravy and a spicy red gravy and the taste was decent but on the other hand Paneer Butter Masala was the best and is an absolute must have……..our personal favourite to have with either a butter naan or cheese naan. We absolutely loved the taste and tanginess on the gravy with chopped paneer long cubes in it which were soft and tasty too – rightly cooked with perfection by the chef. The roomali roti and plain rotis were good and cheese naan was stuffed with melted cheese – both rotis and naan were nice and not hard/chewy. Cheese Naan was amazing. They also offer complimentary green and sezwan (red) chutney which you can keep on eating forever! A must visit. For the desert, we tried their recommended Rabdi and Kulfi and we weren’t disappointed. Served in 2 separate boat shaped bowls, thick rabdi was absolutely yummy and the kulfi was served in small triangular pieces both of which when eaten together tasted absolutely yummylitious.
Overall the food is very good and it’s a great place for dinner with impeccable food; the menu items are fascinating and you are tempted to try different items. We will recommend North Indian food over Chinese here. The Quality and Quantity of the food served is good with an excellent service provided by the staff members. To those who drink-Alcohol is served here with complimentary starters and snacks and there is an added item during the happy hours too.

Music is the theme here. Guitars, pianos, bagpipes around. And yes too good food. Ample seating place available. Free wifi available here. Very much efforts taken for designing the hotel as per music theme.

The service great. Even the home delivery service is very prompt. The food is really really good. The lasooni kebab and the chicken dum Biryani, in particular, is fantastic.
One of our most favorite restaurants. Staff is very welcoming & till today have never messed up with the orders. Ambience after it's renovated is much better, looks more spacious & brighter. Food---- Everything here is too good, the Roomali khakra( mouth watering), The jalapeno cheese roll, Black daal khichdi just to name a few.The amount of tit bits that they serve along with alcoholic drinks is great. Mr Sunil alongwith his staff make sure his customers have no reason to complain. Their party hall for around 30 guests is also a nice cosy option. All in all must visit minimum once a month if not more.
Great food, great service. Their chicken tikka masala and the kebabs are great. In Chinese, their garlic chicken gravy is a must have. The owner personally takes interest in running the restaurant and is open to suggestions.

If you are expecting a hang out place with your friends, shouting, laughing, craving food and juicy heavy protein diet burgers with extra toppings and sauces, surely this is not a place.
Surely the place is to enjoy your family, partner or a calm, simple meetings.
Music is melodious and actually in the background. So that one can talk to his dear ones nicely. Ambience, interior and presence is very nice. Support staff are very good, service is pretty fast when you compare the amount of crowd, evening mostly more crowded.
About food; A big giant papad must try, it is heavy. Not any particular menu is very famous but over all quality of the food items was very good.
Alcohol cocktails are not much in variety, but some of the costly brands and single malts are available.
If you are searching for calm & quite place with a good service and food I guess Symphony would be the best option.

We were finding a new place to try to celebrate mom dad's anniversary in south Mumbai. While surfing zomato can through this restaurant and read some amazing reviews. We blindly trusted the reviews and gave it a try. Believe me the best decision made. Amazing ambience, delicious mouthwatering food, an great service. We would surely visit this place again as this place has a repeat value.

Located in a poush area yet a cozy place, Symphony has good ambiance for a fine dine experience with great soft music. The place is brightly lit by with very comfortable seating and an extremely hospital staff.
The menu has a wide variety of options from punjab, Chinese to continental. The food is extremely non spicy so people who love spicy food, avoid this place. I day this because even the schezwan sauce was not at all spicy. I loved the Large papad the most, Biryani the least. Overall the food is good. Great place for a quiet evening.

What we had :
1) Veg Kadhai
The gravy of it was so tasty. The flavours had depth to it. A must have in punjabi.
2) Jeera Rice and Dal Tadka
The taste was good. Same as you would get at any restaurant. But the quantity was really less. Normally at a restaurant a plate of rice and dal is enough for 3 people. Here the quantity is enough only for 2.
3) Penne Pasta in Mix sauce
This the only place where I have seen green peas and french beans in a pasta.
Nevertheless I loved it. The taste was really good.
And it was to die for.
The next time I'm going back here. It's surely for the pasta. It won my heart !
Popular family restaurant. Arrived about 9.30pm with no reservation and got only free table. Veg biryani and veg Hyderabadi are highly recommended, washed down with two half bottles of Sula Shiraz. Service prompt and polite. Cost: Rs 1987. Very good value for money. Would go back.

First and foremost, Zomato needs to get the location right, it is not Tardeo but Gowalia tank ! It can be misleading for first time goers. Symphony 2.0 (or is it 3.0) in its brand new avatar makes for pleasant foodie experience. The decor of this newly renovated family owned restobar is warm and inviting. Gone are the false ceiling, which is replaced by the original wooden beams, which works brilliantly in favour of the restaurant, giving it more space. It has a multi cuisine menu but we tend to stick to the North Indian variety and have rarely been disappointed. A big thumbs up to this 30 odd year old restaurant.
Symphony has been such an old timer and a veteran at pleasing palates! It's a cosy place flooded with its regular guests and has great service and even better food!
My staples here are the chicken sweet corn soup, fried wontons, chicken au gratin, chicken tikka masala and their garlic-chilly naan. Must not miss!! :)

Had heard a lot about this place from my friends so decided to give it a try!! When we reached there the restaurant was full and had a waiting time of almost half n hour!! Completely acceptable for Sunday though. We ordered rashmi papad which is the restaurants specialty!! And it certainly lived up to it's name!! The paneer tikka sabzji was also good with cottage cheese being soft and fresh the only let down I felt was the naan and roomali roti which lacked crispness and were too small in size compared to other restaurants!! Don't know the reason may be because of Sunday's rush!! But overall it was a pleasant experience!!

One of the best places in town for both vegetarians and the non-vegetarians as well. The food is excellent. Overlook the ambience and seating arrangement for the impeccable food. Waldorf salad is a must try. Chicken tangdi kababs were lip smacking. Prawns biryani was good too. Overall the food was very good. Seating is a bit uncomfortable but the food makes u forget that. Situated at gowalia tank a good place for townies. Visit at least once and you'll keep going again and again. A must visit.

I have been going to Symphony for a really really long time now. This is one of those places where you order one beer and get like 5 different snacks to go. They serve cheeslings, papad, peanuts, usually one veg starter like a pakora and for the health conscious some carrot and cucumber sticks with masala. Move aside Happy Hours, if you want to drink cheap, Symphony is the place to go!
Apart from this, the food is brilliant. The jalapeno cheese rolls and crisp roomali papad are amazing and the paneer tikka is an absolute must! We are usually pretty full at this point with the alcohol and complimentary and paid for starters and snacks. However, during those few dinners when we were starving, the paneer tikka masala and black daal were our obvious choice. Even the other Indian food we have tried here is really good. The chinese by comparison is okay, not great.
Now if someone is looking for great ambience, this is not the right place to go. The food and alcohol is really good quality and cheap, the service is excellent and it is a great option for a chilled night out. Have always gone there and will continue to do so!
I have eaten here numerous times and infact hosted a party in their small party hall for my sons birthday .They serve basically north indian food which is very very good quality.Excellent paneer tikka masala,crispy roomali to go with drinks,Mutton rogan josh, chicken multani kabab,dumpling rice from chinese items and most probably you wont be dissappointed with anything you order from the menu.I give them .There are regular people you will always see anytime you visit.
Its not a very big restaurant so waiting gets longer on sundays but its probably value for money restaurant if you happen to be in town.
Symphony is a restaurant with amazing North Indian food. Being a Non vegetarian food fan, I still prefer to have the vegetarian food at Symphony, because of the foods flavour. Love the Romali Papad and the Chilly cheese garlic naan. There's nothing like it. Moreover the drinks and other prices are not too steep. The ambience is nice, nothing exclusive. It's too cramped up though. Otherwise a brilliant restaurant to dine.
This place reminds me of 70's movies and the restaurant's shown in those movies.... ...... Very nice looking..... The food was average.... Expensive..... But one dish deserves a mention which Chicken Tikka Biryani which was out of this world.....

My most favorite place in the city for drinks & North Indian food... They serve unlimited cheeselings, papads, salad & peanuts complimentary with drinks... One of the very few places where the staff doesn't crib or have to be reminded if the 'bitings' get over... They always refill even before you can ask them to do so... The paneer chop masala & paneer tikka biryani are must haves so is the roomali papad naan... The place is filled with fellow Gujju uncles through the week & families over the weekend... Reasonably priced & decent ambience make this place a winner all the way...

One of the better restaurants in the vicinity serving really good food. A pretty old place cherished by old timers. They have a good spread with their vegetarian and non vegetarian options. For vegetarians I would recommend their waterchest nut starter.try their mix vegetable as well, some thing really different with a unique taste.

The food served here is prepared very nicely especially the starters. We ordered Paneer Schezwan sticks which was awesome & I highly recommend it. Punjabi food was great, Paneer Lababdar is what we ordered. Booze here is fairly priced. Typically it may cost around 1500 per person with liquor.
