Had a really really good meal. Amazing butter chicken, tandoori and crab chilli would love to revisit. Warm hospitality, friendly service and decent ambience. Nice place to be with family and friends.
We were 15 People group , had great time ambiance was nice for family it's great place for food . We had lot of starter but in that squid fry was awesome 1st eaten ,if you here once tried. Squid is fish type, search in Google.

Oceanic is located on top of Adarsh Resturant, so you will have to take the steps at the side to reach on top.
Let me start by saying the service here is 5 star standard. Thanks to Lal for being such a gem along with the rest of the stewards who truly set such standards with great Hospitality.

▪GREEN PEPPER CRAB SOUP
This particular soup is green in colour thanks to the Fresh Corriander leaves.
I really love this crab soup. Besides the buttery flavor of the Crab Pieces it’s perfect combination of Chopped Spring Onion, Capsicum, Corriander leaves, Stir Fried, Cooked in Seafood Stock Perfection. DELICIOUS
▪ROAST LAMB CHILLY
Succulent lamb cooked with perfection, spicy but deliciously made with garlic and mixed sauce that is worth every bite.
This is one spicy dish but Delicious.
▪ SEAFOOD DUM BIRYANI
We heard of mixed fried rice, mixed noodles, mixed this and that but A Mixed Seafood Biryani was a new one to us..
Prawns, Crab & Pomfret cooked in whole spices of Masala along with basmati rice & flavoured fresh mint leaves.
The taste of this biryani is a class apart simply superb. Aromatic delicious Seafood Dum biryani is one biryani that tastes & smells like heaven.

You need to order the Raita separately when you order the biryani.
Yogurt, mild spices & boondi make this delicious accompaniment.
Fresh Yogurt is perfectly spiced & crisp fried balls was added to it.

Yesterday we had a get together of our ecollege group here. Coming from Thane I had a bit of a trouble in reaching the place... due to traffic and congestion.. Bit once you reach here, there is no problems..
The restaurant is situated at the first floor and is very open and bright..
We opted for four courses of starters to accompany the conversation..Chicken, fish,paneer and fish finger..The starters were good enough especially the fish.
For main course we called for chicken and assorted rotis to be followed up by Fantastic chicken biriyani...

Oceanic sea food is an unique experience. It serves a purely sea food buffet on Sundays and it's one of my favourite eateries. if you are a sea food buff and you stay in Chembur, this is the place for you. At Rs 750 + GST, this buffet is a steal.
Last Sunday we visited this restaurant and had a super time as always. The green pepper sea food soup was perfect to start the meal. The spread included Tandoori Crab, Deep fried Surmai, Squid chilly garlic, ravas coriander curry, prawn gassi, red fish curry, white and brown rice and neer dosa, besides the usual salads. What else can any one ask for beyond this? The tandoori crab was a bit over spiced which camoflauged the heavenly taste of crab meat but the squid and surmai were superb. White rice with the gassi is always an exquisite combo to tingle your taste buds. Dessert was gulab jamums and ice cream. The spread is not too lavish where you can't enjoy anything and consists only of those items that are any sea food lover's favourites.
Staff is friendly and ambience is not worth complaining. So just walk into this joint nexy Sunday and experience it for yourself

It was a small get together of few friends after 2 years. And we decided to check in this place as we all met outside chembur station.
After check in, and ordering, we realised it's a family restaurant. But it was fun as everybody was enjoying our gossips.
In between few drinks and gossips, we ordered for few starters.

Murg Angare Tikka
Paneer Khandari Tikka.
And obviously Peanuts and cheeselings.
And for the Main Course,
Murgh Junglee Masala,
Subzi Mili Juli
Rotis and Naan.
To be honest was disappointed with the Main Course.
But their Starters were simply superb.
Even the basic Veg Manchurian was to the point, like no nonsense things.

Oceanic is located on the busy chembur station road. It is basically known for its sea food (which i am told by my fish eater friends, is quite good) but a humble plant eater like me also wont be too disappointed. The veg menu on the offering is a bit limited but the taste is pallate satisfactory. Their usual preperations are a bit too spicy but they temper it if requested. The fruit punch they make is also a highlight. The staff is courteous and service is okay.
Great food especially seafood. Great ambience. Good service. But sometimes on weekends its little tough to get seats. Their seafood is one of the best in chembur. If ur visiting oceanic ask for #bombil fry(bombay duck) its one of the best made fish fry, lipsmackingly good with any good accompanying beer.
I always thought there was no good seafood restaurant in Chembur. This one changed my opinion. It is a quiet restaurant with a lot of privacy. I loved all the fried fish they offered. It is really good to have Seafood Buffets in Chembur.
If you are looking for a fine dining experience with delicious food, this is the place. Visited this place after long time but the food is ever scrumptious. Ordered Surmai Masala Fry and Murg Malai Tikka as starters. They were yummy. The Surmai was tangy and spicy, very tasty and fresh too! And the Murg Malai Tikka was delicious. I was full with the starters, but couldn't resist to order Murg Tawa Masala with Neer dosa in the main course. Loved the food as ever and the staff too was very courteous.

Great restaurant for Seafood. Keep looking for their Seafood buffet. It's a treat that one should never miss.
This place is located very close to Chembur Station. One can walk down for 3 minutes from there. Avoid cars since parking is a big problem in this area.
They have a fairly good ambience. The seating arrangement is good enough to accommodate big groups. Often one gets to hear good old Kenny G, Yanni or Richard Clayderman.
I often used to take parcel from here. They make delicious Biryani and Seafood. The entire fish section is delicious. They make amazing fish curries and fried fish.
I have a fairly big list of suggestions here. One should try their Murgh Tikka Hara Masala, Murgh Malai Korma, Roast Lamb in Black Pepper Sauce, Tawa Gosht, Kothmir Keema and Nalli Korma. Delicious!
A big meal for four with starters, main course and a few bottles of Coke would cost you 2400 bucks.

Most of their Seafood menu is good. Fish is quite fresh and kebabs are good. Loved their Murgh Pahadi Kebab. But 2 dishes on their menu which I would highly recommend are, Murg Mussallam and Seafood Dum Biryani. The mussallam is a heady combination of rice, masala and meats.. Egg, chicken and lamb all in one dish. Quantity is awesome. Seafood biryani has Surmai, prawns, rawas and crab. It has a subtle flavor complimented by all that fish. Caramel custard is decent. Service is good. Great place for family meals :)
Serves one of the best sea food in the area. Lobsters, Tawa Fry are definitely worth a try. Quaint ambience and warm hospitality. The drinks here are also note-worthy.

This one's known for the seafood they serve. I tried lobster here, and though I am not an expert on lobster and neither I have tasted alot of lobster dishes, I really liked it here, food was a little spicy though. It's a quiet and calm place. I feel this one's a bit underrated.
Was here for the India vs. West indies T20. Must say I sat up in the AC and the place wasn't too full.
The ambience was good. We were escorted personally and the staff is very trained.
The food had good flavour and spice.
Since we had only beers, I have no idea about their cocktails or mocktails.
The food was hot and served well.
They have small flat screen TV's which match up for the cricket excitement.

I am very regular in ocianic too good sea food and a pocket friendly restaurant I have only one suggestion for them is to play loud and good music other wise it is a awesome restaurant
Lovely place with good vegetarian food too.
The dum ke butte was really delicious. Service was quick. And the pot rich was super filling. My non vegetarian counterparts were happy with the food too.
I wonder, why there's no such buzz in Chembur about this place...whereas it should have been otherwise. Spacious, smooth steady service along with some awesome seafood makes it a perfect place for fish-lovers' paradise in Chembur. Not much of glam n glitter though, not happy with the collection of music they play :( ... it could have been better.
Food is awesome, service is steady, but they tend to miss out on small aspects of servicing - like they forgot the green chutney which should have come along with "Machhi ki tikki" that we ordered. Must visit when in Chembur for yummy seafood. The staircase has a huge fish tank with so many varieties of fish. The whole restaurant ambience makes u feel as if u have entered underwater zone. Amazingly yummilicious good food. Good value for money.

If you like manglorian style fish food this place is to be. Place can't get more authentic than this why because being in Chembur they serve korri rotti. The taste level is a bit on the spicy side so if you eat less spicy be sure you convey that to captain. They also have ghazal nights.
A place very famous for its Seafood buffet! I am not a seafood fan though...we had a regular dinner here. Loved the food. Good quantity. Pleasing ambience. We had crab soup..i tasted it for the very first time in my life..its was nice to my surprise. Being a chicken lover..we had reshmi malai kebab n a maratha chicken kebab which was spicy n yumm. The black dal was good too n complimented very well with the tandoori butter roti. N to digest it all we had a fresh lime soda. And in the end we were too full! Overall very good experience!
A quiet and hushed place near chembur station. the pot rice served here is to die for. They have a short menu and worth every penny you pay.
Was here for a quick lunch date because it was near to chembur station,.though it is not famous that much like other restaurants in chembur bt sea food is delicious and so is Chinese food ,it is good on your pockets too, ambience was good , staff was helpful overall a good experience

Under rated place. Attracts less crowds..perhaps bcz of stiff competition from the neighboring restos. We ordered mix seafood rice with lamb pepper sauce. However plz note- it was not lamb but mutton that was served :-( Rawas crispy fry as starters. All were yum! We were three people and the overall qty was sufficient. Rice was not oily at all. Good service and ambience. Value for money. 4/5 and not more..for not serving lamb when ordered for.

Loved the serene undertone ambiance which gave a very intimate feel. The food was really good with clean and simple flavours. I really love the buffet they manage to put up with really exciting and exotic dishes that just make your palette go wow!
My family often visits "Oceanic" for it's Sunday brunch. They have an amazing sea food brunch. It starts with a Chinese sea food soup. The star of the meal is "tandoori crabs" (which are unlimited). Other starters include fish in koliwada style and one Chinese starter mostly basa.
Main course follows with prawns gassi fish in kolhapuri gravy and one Chinese fish gravy , dal tadka and neer dosa , choices of other breads. In rice they have 2kinds of rices one is normal plain rice and other boiled rice typically South Indian style that's their speciality.
Desserts are very simple gulab jamun or jalebi and any choice of ice cream (actually after crabs there is no space left for any food :P)
Overall a simple buffet spread it's worth it to try it specially for it's crabs neer dosa and prawns gassi.
I am sure all the sea lovers like me and my family just can't get enough in one visit they will keep on visiting this place again and again for years ????
This is a chic sea food restaurant near chembur station. Ambience is nice n simple although What i truly love about the place is the variety in food. The staff is responsive and well informed so trust their suggestions. We had chicken in hot garlic sauce and singapore rice which was given in a generous quantity. The true winner of this place though was the crab meat soup. Oustanding. Dont miss it fish eaters

Oceanic: The name suggests you would get a lot of fish here. And that's correct.
Its a neat place for get-together with friends or family. Located on the first floor on the busy Chembur street, it has huge windows overlooking the road, minus the rucus and commotion.
The staff is helpful and attentive and makes you feel comfortable.
Now for the food review. We ordered the Oceanic seafood platter to begin with. It came with 1 fried pomfret, 1 mackeral, 2 bombil, some crab, some squids, 3 pieces of prawns, one small piece of surmai and rawas. For Rs. 1700, this was way too less. All the fish had a generous amount of masala coating them. Making them lose the fishy flavour. But the masala was good, so you wouldn't mind. Quantity wise low, but quality wise high. The chicken dry in mangalorean masala was excellent. Chicken platter was well done and juicy, much better than seafood platter.
We ordered another starter: Squids in butter garlic sauce. This was done for two reasons: I love squids and have always appreciated its taste. And I had not really liked the squid that had come in the seafood platter. The squids in butter garlic had the same lack of taste. For people who have eaten squids would realise the blast of flavours when you bite into squid. Thats when I realised these guys had boiled the squid and just mixed with the sauce. What a waste!
The main course had some chicken dishes, all good. The mutton roganjosh was fiery. The rotis in the assorted basket were nice and soft even when cold. Really nice.
We ended with some caramel custard and sizzling brownies. Both were again very good. Recommended.
So overall the 12 of us had a good time. Oceanic is recommended. You would need to customise orders to your preference of chilly and masala. But when you have a good time family and friends, everything else falls in place.
I've been going to Oceanic since I was a kid. All I can say is that the staff is very friendly and welcoming. In terms of food, it's pretty average.
Good place to try sea food. Impresses especially with the crab dishes.

A pretty good restaurant in the Chembur area. I like my restaurants free of noise and clutter, and this one fits the bill. Call ahead and you should never have a problem being accommodated. Service takes its own time, but its a good place to sit and talk. It doesn't let you know you're sitting right next to one of the most crowded streets in the area.
Seafood is their forte - no surprise really, but if you want variety in your order, it doesn't disappoint.
Its one of my top choices for a close family occasion. I'd recommend turning up somewhere near 7pm, and you should have the pick of seating.
Awesome is not a word to describe. Falling short of words to describe the service and taste of the cuisine served here. This place is just tremendous. Nice ambience, family palce. Also the preparations have improved and are matching to a 4 star hotel standards.
This is the perfect place to be if you want to have the best Seafood in town. Their Sunday sea-food buffet is absolutely delicious with a huge variety of fish. They also serve delectable Indian and Mughlai food. A must try here is the Murg Mussalam. Its more than enough for a group of 3 people. It comprises of Kheema, Barbecue Chicken cooked in a thick gravy and Biryani Rice served with Eggs. The perfect combination.
