Its located just opposite liberty cinema. It serves good hygenic and pocket friendly food . I tried the south indian food out here and was not disappointed. I also tried cold coffe with ice cream and chocolate milkshake and it was good
Enjoyed good dinner after movie. The service was good. We ordered Punjabi food.it was fantastic and super tasty too. Although the ambience is all those old standard south Indian hotels. Non AC section was very crowded.
awesome place to visit with friends. Jejdksksmamnanabsbdbdbhdncncj jxnnsnsnnsnsnshhzhzjzhnsnsnnsnsnsnns
Very old & basic restaurant next to Bombay hospital...had veg briyani which was amazing. Quality & Quality is also good. Staff was friendly.
Quit a basic place situation right in front of the library theater. But their food is so amazing. I'm crazy about Indian dishes and this is the best place to eat Indian food. My favourite dish would be Paneer Butter Masala. Best place to visit with your family.
Very old restaurant opposite to liberty theater, all veggie pav bhaji dal khichdi is worth a try even south Indian cuisine is awesome usually occupied
Good place for South Indian and other vegetarian food too. Has a good location and open from morning 8am to evening 11pm. The place has a large variety of options. South Indian, filter coffee and paneer tikka is a must try. These are my personal favourites.
The restaurant is Located just opposite Libert Cinemas and is really a nice restaurant serving some really good food and a major advantage is that it is at walking distance from the marine lines railway station. A mere 10 mins walk.
We had ordered a Chole Bhature and Puri Bhaji since we wanted to have something light and filling. The waiters here are friendly and being weekday we got our order really fast in almost 15 mins. The taste of the food was really nice and the taste was awesome. The Potato sabzi and the chole both were medium spiced which was a good thing. Although the potato sabzi did contain very finely chopped chillies but that was fine and could be removed.
The puri bhaji contained 3 puris but they were large enough. The chole Bhature had only a single bhatura but it was huge and it was literally more than the diameter of the plate itself. But this is a drawback of the restaurant. The quantity of food is not as much as they charge for the food and being in marine lines the rates are on a bit higher side then they should have been. And even if the rates are higher they should serve more quantity of food on each plate.
Apart from the quantity, the restaurant was really good and you are sure to be delighted with the taste and quality of food. They also have a Liberty fast food and Juice center adjoining the restaurant where you can enjoy fast food and fresh fruit juices.
Good food, clean outlet...only thing that they need to improve on is the service. Don't expect to find any unusual dishes, it serves normal South Indian fare which is tasty.
This outlet is definitely a boon to all those who visit Bombay Hospital due to some reason.
Good Quality & Quantity and Fit for pocket, well small place but few people group can have sufficient food. Spl. Pav Bhaji, Tandoori Roti, Palak Paneer & Other Punjabi collective vegetables. Also Good Freh Juice
Good food. But this place needs a lot of improvisation. Price is on the higher side considering the taste and quality. The menu card displayed on Zomato is pretty old. (A picture of crumpled paper) Prices are not revised. This place is on the prime location and has large number of footfall as in vicinity of a hospital and movie theaters.
Visited this place for a casual lunch, the location of the place is very good, very close to churchgate station.
The ambiance is basic and has an udippi family restaurant feel to it.
The place is divided into 3 areas - the juice centre, non ac hall and ac room.
The service is quick and staff is friendly.
We tried an assortment of dishes.
Cheese pav bhaji - absolutely delicious, a must try here.
Sabudana vada - delicious and non oily. It was light and appetising.
French fries - light and home made style fries. Good for sides.
Baby corn and mushroom chilli - very tasty and worth trying.
American sev puri - this is a must try, innovative and delicious.
For drinks we had cocktail juice, strawberry milkshake and chikoo milkshake which were very good especially the chikoo one.
Good place to visit on an empty stomach, decently priced and good quality food.
I ordered chicken Chow mein . It was hot and spicy . More soupy type. Amount of chicken they gave was good. Taste 3.5/5 . If Ur having cold and cough u can try this
A small tucked in restaurant, good vegetarian choices. The food tastes average, not bad either. We had a pav bhaji and a masala dosa. What I love is the service, super speedy. Very reasonably priced and hygiene is decent when the rush hours is considered. The family room is air conditioned and good to sit for lunch with colleagues.
visited this place many times. tried their pani puri fried idli dosa dal khichdi palak khichdi naan dal tadka methi garlic vegetable. everything was very tasty. lassi was also good.
Being in the proximity of Liberty Cinemas and the Bombay Hospital ensures a mixed clientele for this restaurant. However, I have happened to be here many times for my visits to both the above mentioned places.
Liberty is a simple Udupi-kind restaurant serving not just South Indian snacks but all other cuisines which one would fine around his area. Lately, we had their Idli wada and Masala dosa and found them to be pretty good. Along with the usual sambar and coconut chutney, they also served some traditional garlic chutney which we simply loved! Their special Chai and filter coffee is also worth a try. Their Grilled Cheese Sandwich was stuffed with lots of veggies and garnished with grated cheese. The sandwich teamed with their Mint chutney tasted really delicious and was quite filling too! Recently, we had the Garlic chilli cheese toast which was surprisingly quite good.
The place is reasonably big (with a separate AC section) for a simple restaurant like this one. However, afternoons are generally crowded, courtesy the office going crowds which come here for lunch. There's lunch option too, with Rotis, sabji, biryani, soups and desi Chinese among other. All in all, a decent place to grab a bite when around this area. I would rate them a 3.75 out of 5!
Best Dosa I ever had ! Lovely food, great ambience, & pocket friendly too! Must visit whenever you want to have local Indian food, the best option!
Though it might look like a typical south Indian restaurant,it also serves North-Indian, Chinese and Maharashtrian dishes. I tried the pav-bhaji here since thats what I found most people were ordering. The pav-bhaji was great, but I think the quantity of the Bhaji served was very less.
Extremely great food!!
The punjabi, South Indian and Chinese dishes are my favourite.
Don't forget to try the varieties of Pav bhaji
Ambience 9/10
Food 10/10
Staff 9/10
Hygiene9/10
Descent restaurant located near Bombay hospital opposite Liberty cinema, It was my first choice for breakfast, lunch & dinner since last 8-9 days because someone was admitted in Bombay hospital. Dishes i had in last few days are Idli wada ( Average),Pav Bhaji (Excellent)Veg Biryani ( Excellent) , Paneer Biryani (Good), Veg fried Rice ( Excellent) , Veg Grilled Sandwich (Good) , Paneer Masala ( Good), Upma ( Average) , Puri Bhaji ( Good) , Alu Paratha ( Good) , Mix Veg Paratha( Good), Tea , Coffee etc..worth try, staff is rude specially the person sitting on the cash counter.
Liberty-Kamat as they say. Very good Indian Punjabi Food. I have ordered it multiple times at my work place and been there too. Very reasonable and their quality is superb. I personally love their Paneer Butter Masala and Paneer Tikka Masala. For a typical South Indian Restaurant, the quality is way above par.
The service is good and the place is very hygienic.
An avg hotel located in d middle of d town jst opp liberty talkies n a few mins walk frm bombay hospital..its a hotel to gt above avg food at considerably cheap price and fast..although it took us almost 15mins for veg makhanwala n rotis..bt dats pretty reasonable time..taste wise its above avg! A VFM i can say for a quick bite
These furcate of famous food brand 'the kamat's' is quite good.. Situated opp liberty cinema..the resto serves quite a good range of food ..however the cost is bit on higher side but the quantity and quality they provide it is worth.. Quality -8/10 ambience 7/10 quantity-9/10
The best & most affordable Indian meals served in South Mumbai. Traditional & homely food palettes. Worth visiting every single visit just for sake of tasty food.
This place is very near to the bombay hospital in marine lines located bang opposite to the liberty cinema.Went there for dinner on a weekday, food was good in taste.
We ordered -Navratna Korma,Paneer butter masala ,tomato soup and breads(rotis),garlic naan. Now something which i really liked about the food was that nowadays when many restaurant just serves the Navratna korma like any other vegetable dish this place actually served the navratna in which there were exactly 9 ingredients. Paneer butter masala was really good, tomato soup was just decent.
Total damage -650 for 4 people.
Close to Bombay hospital. Good South Indian some of the North Indian stuff on the menu is worth trying unlike other udipis they do a good job.
This is where I can have my everyday meal without spending much!
They serve some delicious traditional snacks and also love their rice preparations.
This place serves the best south indian food in marine lines. Try the variety of dosas and the special mango dishes that are made during mango season. Try out the mango trifle and mango fruit salad. Also the hygiene level is pretty good.
Standard Udupi fare and south Indian food with fast service and good food. Mainly like the snacks and milk shakes and ice creams out here. Reasonable prices and always crowded due to it's location near Bombay hospital.
Veg. Kolhapuri Sabji is good. Masala papad is good. Chinese served is also tastes better as compared to other Udipi restaurants.
The Ac section has more attentive waiters then non Ac section :)
Nice bet for a hungry stomach.
This place is at a vintage point due to neighborhood of Marine Lines station, liberty cinema (after which it must have been named), Gol masjid and Bombay Hospital. So a handful amount of crowd is always there (you need not wait for a place though)
Ambience :- It has a pleasent ambience with typical "off white - wood brown" combination of wall color and furniture. Nothing fancy about it. But the place is quite neat , clean and comfortable.
Service :- Service is surprisingly average in speed. (As this is not expected in any crowded eatery in a metro town). But waiters are good and do give the required suggestions whenever required.
Food :- I had Set dosa here which was very much up to the mark. Sambaram served with it was quite good. No special thing to mention about.
On another occassion I went there for breakfast and we ordered Cheese Toast sandwich and Sitafal Milkshake. Milkshake was real awesome , it was so thick that I had to eat it with spoon. But it was so filling. Same with the sandwich. With milkshake on one hand I actually struggled to end up with my platter. It was so filling that I had to skip my lunch (i just could not eat anything by 9pm that day. No exaggerations at all).
Money :- You may feel that the place is little expensive. ( you are feeling right); It is expensive. But really not out of the pocket's reach and its a good place to go with the family or colleagues during working hours.
Though it is not a must try for a real foodie but if you are with family and friends and need a decent and not so expensive place its the right pick for you.
One of the Best Veg Restaurants in Mumbai.... Great Food with good Ambiance... It also has a Unique Juice Center... Must Visit and Highly Recommended...
Very nice....great food infact excelleeeeeent....recommended...
This restaurant is a short walk from Marine Drive, making it perfect for a night out. It's budget-friendly, so you won't break the bank for a nice dinner. Plus, it's all vegetarian, which is great for those who prefer pure veg restaurant. Overall, it's a good choice for a tasty and affordable dining experience
I tried idli and filter coffee at this restaurant. The idlis were soft and flavorful, and the filter coffee had a perfect balance of strength and aroma. Chutney was not good as Sambhar. The place had a simple, cozy atmosphere, making it a delightful experience for a casual meal. It is located near bombay hospital & opposite to liberty cinema building.
Visited Kamats veg restaurant. Had plain dosa and fruit salad with custard. The dosa was good and sambar was very tasty. The service is ok and you have to keep telling the waiter to get more sambar which is didnt like( although they were loitering nearby - some proactiveness would be good). Overall 3.5/5
Fresh food! Idli was excellent! Upma was good too. Sada dosa was crisp and fresh! Spcl chai was very creamy! Filter coffee was yum!
Good food.. especially South Indian.
If u r around Bombay hospital or Liberty cinema or Metro cinema n if u r hungry n craving for South Indian or proper Desi food do visit this place.. kamat or Liberty restaurant..very decent place ...good taste good service very old school vibes..loved the filter coffee here.
Good for a quick bite in case u have a busy schedule.
Very reasonable on d pocket.u can get a value for money South Indian dish in under ₹90/-.. idli Vada upma r very good so is the dosa n uttapam.
Quietly amazing.
So had gone to this place fr some snacks and refreshment its pocket friendly too we ordered grill sandwich and dahi chaat really loved it they have many types milkshakes etc
Service was really good, the main highlight of our visit. The restaurant has many of their own specialities. The food was made very well and we enjoyed our lunch. The filter coffee was also made pretty good. There was a large variety of cuisines to choose from too. Overall, a must visit near Marine Lines.
As the name suggests , you always have an extra liberty here to get great taste, superb ambience and quick pleasing service. Love to be here.
Liberty veg restaurant is very nice nd beautiful they serve fresh food nd I like upma nd dosa was too good service was really good nd fruits sweet also very tasty
We went as family me mom and dad, we are from Karnataka so we can tell what an actual South Indian taste like, we ordered Idli, poori bhaji, upma. Idli and sambar was perfect proper south indian taste and mallige idli what we call. Poori bhaji was different we wanted Maharastrian style which comes with curry and khanda (cut onion) but it was not the same but taste was good. Upma was also good. Only downside was their tea and coffee was too much sugary, its not good as its burst overall taste and you wont feel much coffee or tea taste. Overall good breakfast place.
