A spice slap of Nirvana. The best rice i ever had was from their collection called stone grill bar. And it was MIND BLOWING. Also, had masala cheese garlic bread and mind it, it wasn't overshadowed by the awesomeness of rice. A paradise for vegetarians . Must visit place if you are a vegetarian.

Variety is the spice of life... Rightly said especially when u chance to satiate your taste buds at a place which serves interestingly tasty food

Ambience: this restaurant happens to be in the most densely populated ( in terms of restaurants) area. The interiors are pleasant but the only problem is when two or three sizzlers arrive. They fill up the room with smoke

Food: lip smacking n delicious.
Black and white sesame coated cottage cheese with spicy cream: ohhhh nothing can be better than this. The portion size is really good and fulfilling.
Greek style lasagne: this yummy lasagne is so creamy n cheesy and has the right kind of spice mix.
Fudge cookie: well this did not live upto my expectations. The taste was good but the baked dough was not upto the mark.
Pricing : The value for money is good . Their portion size are good.
Staff : they have a pleasant n helpful staff
Downside is the only point wherein they stop taking orders by as early as 11:30pm.

Ithaka is one of the popular Veg Lebanese restaurant in South Mumbai. The place is located just opposite High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel.

Ambience:
The place has a decent Ambience and interiors.

Service:
The Service was good and prompt. The staff was also quite courteous.

Food:
Now, lets talk about the food. One of the main advantages out here is that you can order food from Riso Restaurant which is located just above. So along with Lebanese and Mediterranean cuisine one can also try Italian cuisine offered by Riso.  The food items we tried here were:

Fungi Trifolati: A must have for all the mushroom lovers out there. (From Riso Menu)

Mediterranean Nachos (Jain) : The Nachos were quite different and were tasty but we felt it was less cheesy and could have been better.

Greek Style Lasagna (Jain) : The Lasagna were very tasty and should be tried upon your visit.

Fiests Texmex: This is a Mexican style Fondue which offers a quite different take on the classic fondue. It was medium spicy and was very delicious.

Overall the experience was quite good. The only thing we felt was the levy of Service Charge which we disapprove off.

At the outset, the concept of a pure vegetarian Lebanese kitchen caught me by surprise. It’s located in proximity to the upscale High Street Phoenix mall and can be easily located.

Expanding my description horizon, this place has a moderate ambience and decent aesthetics. The service staff though needs a revamp as their attitude towards their guests is discourteous. Nonetheless, the options in the menu are exhaustive, range from Medditeranean cuisine to Mexican dishes and can be sorted easily into a five-course lunch/dinner. We tried Mediterranean Nachos followed by Lebanon Pizza (with piquant touch) & Enchiladas (with beans) and I must admit all the preparations were freshly prepared &
scrumptious. The dessert for this dinner was with hot Chocolate Brownie with ice-cream.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a savory evening with Lebanese & Mediterranean cuisine.

P.S:- The restauanr, Riso, is located just above Ithaka and the dishes from both of these can be ordered in either of the restaurant one chooses to visit. Both are Zomato Gold partner restaurants as well.

Often mistaken by the thought of 'Lebanese is for the non-vegetarians' , we land up not experiencing its authenticity.
However, @ithaka.restaurant at Lower Parel is here to break your bubble and to infuse another lavish cuisine in the lives of vegetarians

Had been there for lunch along with office colleagues.. food was average... Staff was courteous and good.. we order Baba Ganoush. It was good.. amongst others Pizza and Fondue was strictly ok.. another starter we order was some sesame paneer which was too oily.. can be avoided.. over we had a good experience. Definitely not great.. ambience was also average.

It was not a bad experience but
The cost is outrageous for simple dishes. If simple lebanese is cost so costly in India. Then i guess Indian food should be beyond 5000 bucks in Mumbai as far as my opinion goes. Food is average. If so outrageous pricing then give outrageous and mind blowing taste either. Only thing i can properly like about ur resto is its less crowdy or maybe the pricing keeps people away.

Coming to review of the most favourite vegetarians joint of Lower Parel. Ithaka.

It's been a personal favourite because of the the lip smacking food it has to offer.

Have tried a huge variety of dishes on the menu, right from the Seasme Paneer to the Pizzas to the fondue. Not to forget the rice varieties.

Have tried the Riso rice, Mexican rice, the grilled stir fiend rice. All are totally worth the price and taste simply delicious.

Must try the sesame Paneer and Mexican riso rice.

Value for money - 4.5/5
Cost for two - approximately 1500

Ithaka: Vegetarian Lebanese Cuisine. Its an Indianised version of Lebanese food.
They share their space with Riso. It's right opposite Phoenix Mills and Valet here is a boon. They share their space with Riso and Ithaka is on the 1st floor and they both serve both the cuisines. Lighting is soft and dim and seating is very comfortable, with sofa's on one side and a long table in the center for a big group. They have the names of the dishes and their description on wooden wall hangings. The ambience is good. They also have a television screening sports for the cricket and football lovers.

The food here has generous amounts of olive oil, garlic and lemon used.

Food we ordered:

Hummus: A classic dip made of chickpeas
had a good creamy texture light but filling.

Garlic Bread- We loved the Garlic Bread. It was nice and crisp and we enjoyed it with the pasta. It was lovely !

Pasta ala papaleo: Penne pasta with a good mix of veggies and generous use of olive oil.

Assorted Platter : Deep Fried Onion, Bell Peppers and Baby Corn.

The prices are on the higher side bt the food is good. It's a non-alcoholic, family dinner place.

Ithaka serves the best hummus ever. I've tried hummus and pita in numerous places across cities, but nothing compares to the hummus served here! The hummus is creamy and tasty, and the pita is warm, soft and perfectly toasted. The hummus comes in various flavours, my favourite one being the Zatar Oil flavoured Hummus.
Apart from the hummus, the other dishes are great too. The roasted bell pepper soup is amazing. The Lebanese pizzas are a good twist on regular pizzas and the Pizza Beruty is one of my favourites.
The sizzling brownies were also pretty good.
Overall, a great place with friendly staff and delicious food!

Was longing to visit it... Finally tonight me with my love interest attacked ITHAKA (literally island of Elites/Gods). Its coupled with RISO (italian variety) no clue why anyone would club Lebanese with italian (though regions are pretty close). Anyways we started with a cooler (kiwi+ginger ale+cola+mint, interesting taste and my lovely lady ordered her favourite iced tea, can't understand why the liking?). We topped it with Mediterranean nachos (amazing taste, pita bread made it taste awesome). Then came the zatar pizza (most awaited item purely for my love of zatar and how multifaceted this simple herb preparation is) but then the miscalculations happened, we asked for cheeze and exotic veggies (which was charged extra), we paid rs. 700 for it... Wayyyyy too much for a pizza... Half point deducted for this... Then came the Lebanese fondue (waiter handed me only RISO'S menu.. asked repeatedly for Ithaka's menu and got it (and found out this delicious hummus + cheeze wonder). Wanted to order a desert as well, but we need to watch our waist. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank Arham Hospitality, for probably the best pure vegetarian classy diners ... Way to go guys.. love and luck Sheetal Mishra

If it's traditional Mediterranean food, nothing like the taste and quality at Ithaka. Serving one of the most authentic dishes, Ithaka is paradise for Mediterranean food lovers as well as ones who like to try out new cuisines. All the hummus dishes are made to so much perfection that one will keep wanting for more. We especially loved the traditional beiruty hummus mixed with onions, tomatoes and parsley. The ambience is of a casual fine dine and the service is prompt.
Must try at Ithaka- Beiruty Hummus, Falafel Pita Pockets, Hummus Peri Peri, Fattoush Salad and Moussaka.
Would love to go again and try to experiment other specialities.

My post convo treat had to be my way and nothing other than Ithaka could gratify me.

All-veg restaurant serving authentic Greek and Lebanese, oh am I Alice, lost in Wonderland?

Name 'Ithaka' derives from an epic Greek poem -  an island home of Odysseus. And it was indeed no less than an island to me, an isolated table for me and bhai, dim and soft lights, no hullabaloo.

First on our 3 course meal was ROASTED PEPPER SOUP. I love bell peppers, so need I explain?

BABA GHANOUSH (roasted eggplant dip with pita) made me feel like a host in some travel TV show, trying some exotic food! :)

ZATAR PIZZA though dry (felt like a Papad honestly) did fulfill my high. Zatar is mix of spices, and trust me it's magical!

Service is swift and polite. Prices are justified. Why not give it a try?

Love love love this place!! Have been there several times but have forgotten to write a review. My bad. Service is impeccable. So is the food!
Here goes!
1)Corn chowder- thick sweet corn soup with slight hints of jalapeños,olives and parsley. Its super yummy! Love it. But if you are in the mood to have something spicy then dont order this one since the flavours are very subdued. But I love it!
2)Masala pita bread- interesting concept! Quite simple recipe though. Its like a pizza sandwich made of pita bread. But the taste is good. So feel free to order
3)Paneer shawrama- loved the taste. The tahini and hummus are well made and the flavours stand out. Pretty authentic
4)Stone grill bar- we had ordered for rice with select veggies and xo sauce which turned out to be very good. Loved by everyone!
5) Lebanese fondue- cheese fondue with chickpeas paste and jalapeños and olives. Served with breads and veggies. This one must not be missed. My favorite!
6)Exotic Mediterranean soup- its quite alright. Have just ordered it once since it didn't impress me that much. Very bland
7)Veg Moussaka- this is really good. Crisp waif thin and yumminess!
8)Veg Spinach and Cheese pie- after having this I loved it so much that I decided to make it at home and everyone loved it! Love this item a lot
9)Monza pizza- I really appreciate good pizzas in a Mediterranean restaurant! Order this one for sure. It has all the veggies and the taste is very good
10)Manakish-Zatar Veg- Turkish specialty- iv had this a long time ago...and I can safely say that I still remember vividly that I had really liked the flavours of the Manakish!
Overall best Mediterranean cuisine serving veg restaurant in Mumbai for sure!!! Highly recommend everyone to visit it at least once!!

Ithaka situated Opp High Street Phoenix is a Pure Veg restaurant serving Lebanese cuisine to suit Indian palette.

This was a lunch date with my spouse..
Their decor was woody and comfy at the outset.

We ordered for
Batata Hara Bharra which is basically Fried potato cubes spiced with garlic, herbs & topped with coriander...

Hummus with Spicy Turky
Is the chickpea hummus with a dash of olive oil & chopped spicy olives...!

Zaatar with Garlic Bread was okay with The Zaatar Mix not having enough taste nor essence to kick up a foodgasm..!

Cocktails were unique and refreshing..
Have Cosmo Fleshy which is a Kiwi with Ginger Ale and Coke & Have Pinacolada...!
Their Lebanese Pizzas are made with wafer thin crust & truly delicious to savour.
Overall, a wonderful place to dine..!

We visited this place on a Friday evening and were fortunate to get a table without booking or prior reservation. We tried the bell pepper soup, zucchini fritters and Lebanese rice. All the dishes tasted good and were well presented. Only disappointment was limited options in desserts and no availabllility of baklava at that. Also, it was pretty chaotic and noisy because of two large gettogethers.

Ithaka was on my bucket list for a long time as i love lebanese food and got a chance to go there for a saturday lunch.
It was surprisingly empty on a saturday afternoon. The ambience is nice and there are 2 restaurants-Ithaka and Riso one above the other and you get surprisingly handed 2 menus - aint that a "Mann mein laddoo futta" moment for a foodie!!!!
Coming to the food, i am still drooling over the taste and the quality!!!
The staff is very warm and welcoming. The service is also quite quick.

FOOD ANATOMY:
1. Mediterranean Tart Platter- Loved their types of hummus
2. Jalapeno Sticks - Yummy
3. Zucchini Fritters - Very delicious
4. Fusilli in pesto sauce- Very creamy and tasty
5. Sizzling chocolate and walnut brownie - The brownie could have been better.

All in all a very delicious meal!!! Cant wait to go there again for exploring other dishes on the menu!!!!

The restaurant setting is very normal and old-school. They don't have any fancy interiors or putting up food on a decorated plates and no shenanigans. But they are doing what they are supposed to be doing right, that is the food. The food was to the perfection. I ordered for hummus harrisa, it was yummy with the perfect taste and texture. Then we tried their nachos which was pita sticks with nachos cheese and bell pepper which was good as well. The next thing we tried was zucchini fritters, which was a totally new dish for me and my personal favorite now at ithaka. Overall it's a must try for good Lebanese food.

Was here on Raksha bandhan day!! Surprisingly it was empty while the others in the row had lots of waiting so it was easy to get a table. For the Hummus lover that I am, we started by ordering  Hummus Harisa with pita bread. Next, we called for a Lebanon Pizza and Falafels with a Cold coffee and Royal Hammer. The food was delicious and the service was quick. The pita bread was warm and seemed freshly baked. The pizza was perfectly cooked and my love for thin crusts just shooted up. And the Lebanese cuisine fan that I am, I am definitely going to re-visit this place and try all the other things on their menu that I couldn't try. The only thing I did not quite like was Jalapeno Sticks, if you are a cheese fan you will love it though. It was quite sticky and not the jalapeno poppers you get in other restaurants.

But all in all, must visit this place, it is a delight for everyone who is a vegetarian and loves Lebanese food.

The Water Chestnut and Raw Mango Salad was refreshing. Fattous satisfied the salad craving due to its perfect mixture of vegetables and pita bread. Hummus Peri Peri is superb with good spicy taste of Peri Peri. A must for Hummus lovers. Cottage Cheese Sujak is a must try dish. Something different yet extremely tasty and relishing. Mojito was filled with different flavours leaving a fresh taste in your mouth.

On the negative side, Zatar Pizaa failes to create wonders. Exotic Mediterranean Soup was not up to the mark. It tasted more like weak version of clear soup.

It can prove to be a good offbeat place for vegetarians. For sure they wouldn't regret this change in their usual meal. So far it has been the best place where I have had some amazing hummus in comparison to the competitive outlets around its a must try. This place is a merger of riso n ithaka...and hence some part of their interiors looks the same. I was very impressed with the decor. It has these hung wooden placards which mention their special dishes. There are some antique mirrors which I fell in love with for their bright colour combinations. To conclude I would say it was a welcome change.

After immense contemplating over which speciality cuisine restaurant to eat at we ended up at this Lebanese joint with generous expectations.

First off: They've misspelt Lebanese outside on the board. Bummer. Not Lebanees guys!

We were made to sit at the Italian place Riso & not at the actual Lebanese spot Ithaka (same owner) as it was a Thursday and was relatively empty. I was looking forward to the ambience. Bummer. Again.

We did order from the Ithaka Menu.

1. The Tartar Garlic Bread.
Tasteful. Yet we wanted more. All we got was small and light bread toasties with tartar mesh over it. For 400 bucks. I mean come on chef.

2. The Monza Pizza.
Pizza Greek Style?
Nope. All Italian taste again. The tomatoes overpowered all that was Greek in it. It was a great Pizza. No doubt. I'd eat all of it. But I wanted a Lebanese/Greek twist to it because that's what the menu said.

3. The Greek Lasagne
Yum! They made us wait a good 20minutes after the pizza got served to we worked up some more appetite in that while. This was simply brilliant. The zing of tomatoes with the chewy batty cheese made me hog onto this. The could go with a little more veggies but heck this was good.

The Service was quite disappointing.
They were kind and hospitable but not well versed with their own Arsenal. When asked to choose between the Moussaka & the Lasagne, the server simply fumbled and said Lasagne like just wanted us to pick one. They couldn't really pronounce the ingredients let alone suggest us what were the specialities. Big let down. They could get in some experienced forthcoming servers who could help customers with better understanding the Ethnic Cuisine. With Foram Mota

I went to Ithaka expecting to eat at Ithaka but then I was seated at Riso and given the menu for Ithaka and the next thing I know I'm eating a pizza from Riso. Whaaaaa! What just happened?!

Okay so to bring some sanity to this review, I'm going to go over this slowly. So apparently, Riso and Ithaka are situated in the same building, with the same common entrance, except that as you enter you are in Riso, and to go to Ithaka you walk up a flight of stairs. Owned by the same management, this may make some sense but what doesn't is how little distinction the management seems to make of the two places INSIDE. Menus are used interchangeably, as are table settings. What works in their favor is that once you are over the surprise of realizing that you aren't actually at the restaurant that you thought you were at, you now have at disposal two distinctly different menus to order from! More food!!

Both offering only vegetarian fare, Riso is Italian-Mexican while Ithaka has on offer a Lebanese menu, which translates to the 'usually-confined-to-limited-options' vegetarians being spoilt for choice here.

The food is standard fare, while not being pop-in-the-mouth delicious, safe enough to fall in the sufficiently-good category. The Hummus Hara doesn't belong to that though. It is one of the smoothest, creamiest, most flavorful I've had. We ended up ordering 3 portions for the table. Some of the other things were on the opposite end of the spectrum though such as the potato ispianki in which the creamy vegetable dressing was just odd and left a bitter aftertaste. The sesame crusted cottage cheese was nicely grilled but I didn't care too much for cream it was topped with or the fact that the pieces of cottage cheese were nearly doused in it.

Our mains were largely from the Riso menu so I'll leave those for the Riso review. From Ithaka we tried the Greek style lasagna which was the most debated item of the evening on our table in terms of people liking/disliking it. The falafel sandwich was flavorful and decked to glory with hummus and lettuce but I do wish they incorporated some more color in the form of Harissa or pickled peppers maybe.

Desserts didn't look too exciting so we went with what the server told us was the most popular item on their menu, the mud cake. While I won't say it was bad but I don't see myself getting it a second time around. And yes, there will be a second time because on an overall scale, Ithaka does leave you with a full belly and a not-so-deep dent in your wallet.

I thought the sauce that they serve at the table deserves a special mention for having what feels like a million scoville heat units. I wish I would have remembered to check with them what it was but a fair warning, a few drops is sufficient to the average Indian palatte while a tbsp would probably send you out of the place on a stretcher. Eat if you wish to kill all your tastebuds and intention of eating anything after that. Luckily, we were pre-warned.

Had been here on a week day. Pure veg place. As it was a weekday, they were not atall busy thats the reason they had kepts the first floor closed and served the food down in RISO. Both are owned by the same owners. Very bright and lively place. Young boys who serve and take orders dont look that professional but are good with their work.
Tried some new dishes which were really good. As it wasnt busy..the service was very quick. Will visit again for sure.

We visited Ithaka for lunch on a weekday and it was quite decent.

Location: If you are visiting this place for the first time, get down at phoenix mills. Ithaka is right opposite Phoenix mills at the end of the flyover. Preferably take a cab as valet parking is unpredictable.

Food and drinks: I tried the cosmos fleshy which tasted nice but was very sweet. Hummus tarts were good. Stone fried noodles were good. The mud cake dessert was the best of the lot.
Quantity serves maximum 2 average hungry people.  Taste is good.

Service: Average. They have a unique bell concept which I liked.

Price: Priced above average considering the medium sized food portions.

Overall, good place for veggies who are bored of the usual cuisines and are looking to try something different. Nice place to celebrate an occasion

Good place to try not so Indian food. This place is combination of 3 restaurants, Ithaka, Riso and Firki On head board Ithaka was missing but if u see Firki and Riso then it's the same place. It's location is opposite to pheonix mall. We tried pizza, sizzler, Nacho, lazania, enchiladas. Pure veg place offering decent varieties which is different from routine sabzi roti types. Only thing is u have to take efforts to read 3 different menu to decide what u want to have. Nevertheless food was good and u can surely plan with friends and family

We have the cheese nachos from Riso and they were great! The Quesadilla was great and the sour cream sauce that came along was divine, but they only had 4 portions. The Turuk Hummus had great texture and taste but it was a little bland as I lean more towards the spicier side. Lastly the tex-mex Fondue was great and the veggies along with it were fresh and seasoned well. Only issue would be the lighting/ambience over all was a little gloomy. Besides that all great!

Good restaurant, chilled vibe. Lebanese food was good. You can order food from 3 restaurants under one roof. Riso has a "Julia Roberts' pizza"😅

I recently dined at Fikri in Lower Parel, Mumbai, and I must say, the restaurant truly impressed me with its diverse menu. From Lebanese to Indian to Italian cuisine, each dish was bursting with flavor. The restaurant's ability to excel across such a wide range of cuisines is truly commendable. Whether you're in the mood for rich Indian spices, savory Lebanese delights, or comforting Italian classics, Fikri delivers a fantastic dining experience that caters to all taste preferences. Highly recommended for food enthusiasts looking for a flavorful journey!

The place is decent for someone who wants to try new flavours. We ordered Peta bread with Hummus, a Lebanese pizza and Ravioli Pasta. While I personally liked the taste a friend of mine didn't really enjoy anything apart from the Peta bread. If trying for the first time maybe start with one dish at a time and follow with more if you like it.

I went to this place wondering what vegetarian dishes are there in Lebanese cuisine and how many! It's worth it! But it also serves other cuisines, some of which you can get from the Riso downstairs - all pure vegetarian! Shawarma Quesadillas is a good main course 😋

Great food and courteous staff. The décor is more like that of a steakhouse but the food is Italian/Mediterranean. Valet parking is available. There's only one bathroom which is kept clean.
