I absolutely love this place! Great food! Courteous staff and they have an old world charm to the place! People here seem to be more empathetic towards each other as I have witnessed a few deaf and dumb staff members and how the others help them out! It's always a great experience to go here 👍

I came here for a late lunch and heard a lot about this place. The interior of this really struck me as it was really colourful and had a nice bar as well.
I ordered the Berry Pulao & the Parsi Vegetable Curry. The pulao had a really strong fragrance and having that with the Vegetable Curry, which was spicy and quite flavourful. Overall, the Berry Pulao & Vegetable Parsi Curry is a really nice combo to try out if you’re looking to explore something new.
Overall, Soda Bottle Openerwala is a really nice restaurant & the service along with the interior is really good. The waiter was also really nice enough to keep providing me glasses of hot water knowing I was unwell.
SodaBottleOpener Wala (@sbowindia) strives to uphold the dying legacy of Irani Cafes in Bombay and does a really good job at that! Their food brings people satisfaction with a side of comfort & nostalgia.
The setting of the place is fun and quirky and a makes for a really good place to hang out with friends and family 🖤

-This looks a lot like a normal vada pav but trust me, it's so much more.
Buttered pav served with a huge chicken cutlet.
The cutlet is so flavourful and just melts in the mouth. It is served with green chutney and a side salad. Available in their breakfast menu.
This goes really well with a cup of Irani Chai.
Must give it a try!

Pallonji Soda was a nostalgic bevrage I came across here. Vegetarian do try Veg Baida Roti here, it's taste real good and actually has no eggs. Smokey Chicken Cutlet is bae here.

I visited this place a few times..they have a wide variety food and many outlets around mumbai.
The ambience is relaxing and calm .the staff is courteous and alert. This outlet in lower parel is inside pheonix mall.
This time we ordered a khaari pizza. Heard of it for the 1st time ,we had never tried it so dint know how it would turn into. But hoping for the best as this place never dispoints us,we ordered it.
The #khaari pizza was extremely yummy and delicious. The khaari base was soo chrispy and fresh ..also the cheese and all the stuffing complimented so well.. Its a must try
Visited this outlet yesterday for dinner with family and enjoyed a lot! The ambience is like the typical traditional Irani cafe with modern cutlery. The food was delicious! The bun maska just melted in the mouth! The methi fish tikka was well prepared. prawns curry combo and chicken Berry pullao too were very nice. But what i liked the most was the 5 star brownie. It was simply awesome!!
When we walked in on valentine's day, it was crowded but we waited only a few minutes for a table. The music captivated us and we enjoyed the semi old hindi song selection of the dj.

It is a boneless Chicken Starter.

Paatra Ni Maachi is a must must have if you love eating Fish.
The fish is boneless steamed and coated in mouth watering green chutney.
It is served wrapped in banana leaf with Lemon Rice.
It was too irrestible so could not get a click ,but it is worth trying.

Soda bottle opener wala is in lower parel near high Street Phoenix mall. Ambience was quite good and awesome. The food is to yummy and drinks menu was so big that we can't able to decide what to order.
The good thing is that this place opens for breakfast and they have a different menu. Was keen to do a brunch over the weekend, and landed up here around 11 am - pretty empty at that time. We were ravenously hungry and over-ordered. The keema ghotala/ pav was excellent and so was the French toast. The all meat breakfast was king size with choices - the mutton keema/ pav was spicy, the chicken bhuna sandwich was good and the pork sausage was authentic. The accompanying cold brew was okay. Besides these we ordered for bun maska (the buns are really super soft) and the chilly cheese toast - nice. This outlet is very well done up - a lot of the style taken from the original ones in town, and definitely better than their BKC place, but a lot darker - lack of natural light. Overall, the food is good!!

Sodabottle is a very warm place. Has such a welcoming vibe to it. This was one of my many visits to the place but this time it was absolutely lovely!

We ordered Egg Akuri and Khari Pizza along with special cold coffee. Khari Pizza is an absolute delight! Must have. Egg Akuri had brilliant flavours accompanied with super buttery toast. Cold coffee is recommended for strong coffee lovers like me.

This place was absolutely buzzing on saturday when we visited. Absolutely amazing music, a mix of 90s, 2000s and latest songs (hats off to the DJ). The beer is much more aptly priced that various other restaurants. The superbly prepared parsi cuisine on top of the ambience and vibes just made our visit excellent. Ordered 4 main course dishes. Out of those 4, the ghee ghost and mutton berry pulao were mouth watering (must try dishes) . Will definitely visit this place again. This was the mawa cake with ice cream. Just like every other sizzling brownie. The brownie and sauce was hot, balanced out with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle of caramel sauce. Taste was good and so was the quantity.

One word that could aptly sum up this dish would be “PFC – Parsi Fried Chicken” :P These tender chunks of chicken were loaded with flavour and extremely succulent. The accompanying chutney being mildly spiced was just what the chicken needed
2) Chicken Baida Roti:
Minced Chicken cooked in spices that were surprisingly mild yet full of flavour. Stuffed in an Egg & Flaky Paratha certainly did work our appetites for the courses to ensue
3) Classic Parsi Mutton Pattice:
This tender mildly spiced Mutton & Mashed Potato Patty coated with egg & bread crumbs and deep fried is highly recommended
B) Mains:
1) Bohri Kheema Pav:
The no frills Mutton Kheema served with a side of Pav is a quintessential way of summing up this wholesome Parsi Experience that one may come to expect of any SBOW out there

One of my favourites for a relaxed ambience coupled with authentic Parsi Cuisine and I’m a fan of mutton salli boti !
The food by this chain is highly recommended, portions are sufficient for 2 people if you plan to share and try at least 2 dishes . The drinks compliment the food and what more could one ask for !
Oh yes coming to the desserts I enjoyed every bite of the brownie with ice cream .. It was a very memorable experience and one of my favourite meals of my last trip .. :)
I travel the world and frequent restaurants on a regular basis.i have experienced the hospitality they had to offer in close detail .I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to your restaurant and met mr.shavir irani the manager.He is an amazing person to say the least.Im truly puzzled to learn that a person of such finesse and abilities was employed as a mere manager.i will always make it a point to drop in and visit him and the restaurant again.
I went there for the berry pulao.. which ive been eating since the longest that i can remember.. i felt like it has lost its touch over the course of time.. i found it way too spicy for my taste buds.
We ordered 1) chicken berry pulao
2) veg berry pulao which had nothing special about it. Just a few veggies (carrots, capsicum) thats it
And 3) baida roti in veg which was again very oily and very spicy
Overall, its a good place for some change in cuisine but i wouldnt recommend it to someone per se. Also a lil heavy on the pocket..however it does justice to the quantity served. One starter and two dishes for two people became very heavy till the end.

First time here and loved the vibes of this place. This place is landmark for Parsi and Iranian food.
The walls are beautifully painted and the quircky quotes add to the fun experience. They attract large crowd at any time of the day.

I had an impromptu visit to this outlet with my colleagues, we were quite hungry as it was past lunch hours. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection with the right amount of oil, spices, garnish etc. The pheteli coffee on their menu has all my heart, for which I certainly look forward to visit again.

The pav bhaji which includes cheese is a must try here.
The paneer bhaji is something which would really melt in your mouth.
The very different part is that they serve pav instead of roti which makes the dishes even more delicious.
The Parsi styled rice dishes, the dhansak is a little sweet but worth a try.
The desserts however need a major upgrade, wouldn't be the best ending to such super awesome food.

My introduction to Parsi cuisine happened at this very place. It is imperative for me to dine in any SBOW outlet if i visit Delhi or Bombay.
To start with, my fav dishes have to be:
1-Mutton/Chicken Berry Pualo- Rice dish with succulent pieces of meat/chicken cooked in spices and served in-between long grain basmati rice with small "anardaanas" which validates the name of the dish . The rice is so soft and smells of saffron and subtle spices.
2-Keema Chop- I had to mention this as this is my mother's most fav thing to order whenever we go to SBOW. I personally don't enjoy mutton keema that much in general but this chop is very different from the ones we get outside. Normally in restaurants the focus goes more in the size of the chop and less in the meat or the taste. This dish here is both well portioned and very VERY tasty.
3- Seekh Parantha- 2 Juicy-melt-in-the-mouth seekhs with a hearty parantha and some of that yummy chutney and onions ( not meant to be consumed on dates ofcrse :) )
These would be my top 3 dishes that i recommend all of you to MUST try whenever you get there. I have been to so many Irani cafes after trying the food here, but then the thing is , your first love is is BAE, which is why no matter where I go to try Parsi food, I will always keep turning to SBOW for the best .

Had an absolutely amazing time at the food walk that started and ended at soda bottle opener walla. Had the mawa cake, chai and bun maska. Absolutely heavenly food. The dessert counter drove me crazzzzy. Lovely selection, nostalgic to the it's best!

You will surely fall in love with it.. The Mutton Berry pulao was tasty and the salli boti was one more dish you should try here... In dessert we tried ice cream Modak which offered the same taste like the steam modak and lastly if you are cobfused there is Mr Shavir Irani who will surely drop there to help you up...

Keema pav and berry pulao. These words are enough to make you visit this iconic joint.
We will find perhaps a tastier berry pulao at Brittania and co. but that takes nothing away from this place which I can visit again and again for it's awesome food and lively cocktails and ambience.
Music was good, average ambience. Cocktails we ordered were nothing special. It is usually crowded, so you may have to wait for the table. Like instead of taking a chance and waiting there, book a table.

Looks like off late I have started going to better places!!!! Finally I tried Soda BottleOpener wala and I wasn’t disappointed! Superb place..kool ambiance mix of retro and modern! Good well trained and behaved staff! A perfect place for family gatherings too! And then have some awesome Bollywood Friday nights I heard!
Tried Dishes:
1. Aloo Aunty Vegetable Cutlet—a unique cutlet not like typical cutlets which taste like only potatoes! This dish is on their recommendation list and I don’t disagree.
2. Tawa Paneer Masala- It is more like Paneer burji served with Pav. But please don’t consider it has ordinary tasting paneer Burji! I have no idea what made it different but it was different!
3. Last in the list was Vegetable Berry Pulao which is actually served with Vada Pav.. I was interested with the other siders served with more than Pulao! Wat tasty Vada pav and such amazing Berry Pulao.
I recommend all the three dishes above! And one shud take item with Pav…the Pav just melts inside your mouth!
O yes and later we had Parsi Malai Kulfi and It was so thick and tasty and felt as if we are eating Milkmaid!!! And how doesn’t like Milk Maid!.
The portion size is on a little lesser side. Price moderate. And I l highly recommend this place! I am doubtful if anything can go wrong here!

Had the spicy Mumbai sandwich, bacon vada pav and chicken vada pav. Traditional mumbai roadside dishes, but they were quite delicious nonetheless!
Had been to this beautiful Bawa Themed Restaurant a few days back and, I was lucky to try out their Bhonu Thali.
The flavours and the quantity was really good
The standout fish out of all was the Fish Patties, the best I’ve had till now.
The Thali was full of flavours right from Gajar Nu achar to the Chicken Pulav and to end with Falooda and Coconut ice cream with classic coconut macroon crumble.

Nice place to hangout with friends. We visited this place last weekend and were attended by Nikhil who helped us make our evening wonderful and memorable. Suggested us the menu and the suggestions nailed on our taste.. Food was awesome as we had farcha and sali Boti followed by their dessert Tofee pudding.. Kudos to his hospitality..

That’s exactly how my mood was right after I entered this place..so basically it’s a “Restaurant” and not a “Dance Club” but it literally changed into a dance club..I have to tell u guys to not ever let ur DJ leave because he is awesome 😍
Loved the food and the ambiance..I did not see anyone with a “no expression” face..everyone looked so happy and was just so much into enjoying the music and each and every table had people dancing on their chairs including me..this place had superb vibes and I would love to tag it as “A happy place” ♥️
I don’t usually like going to places that I have already been to because I like exploring new ones but this is a #MustVisitAgainAndAgain kind of a place and I will come again.. good service, good music, good ambiance, good food, good drinks and most importantly good vibes 🌸
Ordered Akuri with Pav for breakfast today. And I don't regret the decision to order from here one bit. The Akuri was very soft and fluffy. It was really flavorful as well with tiny pieces of onion, coriander and tomato mixed in with the scrambled eggs. But the best part of my meal was the Pav. It was extremely light and spongy. Biting into it felt so good!
All in all, a highly recommended choice for breakfast on a Sunday morning!

Good food is very often the most simple Food. You're dreaming of something yummy, delicious, creamy and mouthwatering- it can only be the food that reminds you of home.
This place is a traditional Parsi Cafe with creative ambience ( toy train moving, the funny quotes on the wall, a mirror as a decor on the wall, the entrance) and it was an amazing experience, the food we ordered was simple but I will never forget the taste
We ordered veg dhansak and dal.
It is a famous Parsi food -caramel rice and amazing dal served in a steel tiffin reminds you of your childhood.
The vada pav and masala chai is perfect combination
The last round ofcourse, the lovely dessert. Perfect food and you just would love it even more with every bite .
The staff hear can't hear or talk, they have a book with signs on every table that helps you communicate with them.
I am very Impressed with this place.

The first thing that feels amazing is the ambience. They have designed and maintained the interiors such that you get a feel of an authentic old Parsi restaurant but at the same time, it feels brand new neat and clean. Food is good, with generous portions. Ofcourse, given the fact that it specializes in Parsi food which is mainly non vegetarian, there are a little less veg options but are all good. Non veg, esp the mutton Berry pulav as I heard from my husband was "amazing" & "this is what jannat feels like".
Even the cocktails are amazing! Friendly staff as well.

What a lovely place. Chicken faracha and parsi fish curry is a must try. Had mango LIIT during mango fest which was very good. Always crowded. On weekends be ready to wait.

We ordered some Palak Pakoda, Paneer, Stuffed Chilli, Mangalorean prawn fritters and the famous Irani & masala chai which was so satisfying. My personal favourite dish/ drink would be the palak pakooda cause it has a explosion of balance flavour it reminde’s me of streets food Delhi and the Irani chai and a cookie which comes along with it, all I could say is you must try.
The service was fast and staff your polite. I look forward to visit this place often.

🌍Location: This place is located on the 2nd floor of Skyzone, High Street Phoenix, Lower Parel.
♒Ambience: Its more like a modernized Irani cafe with a twist. The seating space is huge so even on a busy weekend we managed to get a place. The restaurant has created a beautiful fusion of the old & new. Walls are decorated with ads from 90s which is the golden era. Right from the electric switch boards, to the beautiful frames all belonged to that era. It's needless to mention that the Parsi community is very particular about their belongings and they have maintained this place immaculately.🙌 The entire restro depicted a beautiful picture of our childhood and every 90s kid would definitely resonate with it.🧒👧
♎Food:Their menu is slightly different from the regular ones. Each and every item is given a different twist.

Croquettes were deep fried coated with vermicelli and filled with grated cottage cheese. The entire preparation was decent we didn't enjoy it much.
❇️Carnivore's Bhel🥘
Our traditional Bhel was presented in all new swaag. Small cubes of fried chicken and sausages along with some cheeselings,sev and tangy dressing completed the Bhel. It was totally scrumptious.🥰
❇️Mrs Sodabottleopenerwala special cold coffee☕
The coffee was served in achaar jar which was quite unique. We literally fell in love with it. It was soo soo awesome. The right amount of frost on top, color texture, taste everything was perfect!!!. Full marks to Mrs Sodabottleopenerwala😘
👩🍳Service: Service was pretty quick inspite of the place being crowded. Also the staff had a pleasant smile on their face while catering us.
💰Although we found the place to be a bit pricy but the kind of variety in Parsi food which you get here is definitely worth a shot.

Irani Falooda, Raspberry Soda was so good. Lagan Nu Custard won my heart. In Main course I loved the Veg Pattice, Paneer Akuri, Veg Pulao & Veg Balls in Jardaloo Gravy. I had an amazing experience. Very nice service.
Loved the ambiance, food was great. Must try their special shots.*cheers* Music was loud, as we went in the afternoon it was a bit to soak in.

Perfect place to enjoy Parsi cuisine. Had ordered Chicken Farcha, Baida Roti, Bhendi Bazaar Seekh Paratha and it was very delicious and tasty. The best part was the desert. The ambience gives you very homely vintage vibes.

Visited this Iranian cafe in High street Phoenix mall.
Such a calm and warm place with finger licking food. Light hearted music, courteous and kind staff, good sized portions , great quality and all proper precautions taken.
Ordered:
*Chicken Bhuna Sandwich: Delicious in taste, greatly filled with chicken
*Vada Pav: Comforting food with the spicy masala
*Chilly French Fries with 3 dips: Crispy and crunchy fries with 3 delicious mayo dips
*Kundapuri Prawns: Perfectly And crispy fried kolapudi style prawns. Properly cleaned and proportioned
*Ginger ale and Coke Float

Bawa Breakfast & VEG!
How's the place like?
Soda bottle opener waala gives you the ambience of a total Irani cafe where everyone is in the chilled out mood.
It pumped up my morning with 90's peppy Hindi songs!
What did you try?
I went for the breakfast.
I liked the twists to the Parsi food like Berry pulao had become berry poha and this kheer had oranges and muesli.
And not many know, but @sbowindia is my favorite place for cold coffee. It's so good. It's not sweet and really strong!
So coming back, I tried the following:
1. Roasted Ravaiya Tart
It is Savoury Tart stuffed with brinjals, green coconut, chutney and cheese. I really liked as the cheese was oozing out.
2. Masoor Toasties
Crusty bread topped with masoor and grilled with cheese. This was nice too
3. Sabudana Patio ni Khichdi
Sweet and spicy this khichdi will remind you of every Parsi home.
4. Santra Kheer Muesli Cup
Orange and milk pudding layered with homemade granola. I loved this totally as the way they had combined dishes was amazing.
5. Parsi sev with hung curd
Sweet roasted Vermicelli traditionally prepared on Parsi birthdays
Served with homemade yoghurt. I preferred this less as I am not a fan of Sev.
6. Berry Poha
Absolutely loved this: it tasted fabulous. The patty went very well with the poha and tasted mamamia!
Is it value for money?
Obviously it is expensive as compared to a normal Irani shop. But it is still reasonable and good
Anything else?
They do have Bollywood nights on Friday and Saturday and it's some good music!
And kudos to the team for employing dumb and delf!
Great food and ambience. 4 stars because not so many vegetarian options but my mom vegetarian friends absolutely loved it. It's quite a pocket pinch as well.
So after hearing that SodaBottleOpenerWala has started the "Bombay Chaat House" I decided to give it a try.
Puffed Amaranth & Lotus Seed Bhel
A nice and healthy twist to everyone's favourite street food "Bhel Puri". Makhana's or the puffed lotus seeds were nice & crispy which added a great texture to the dish. The overall taste was exactly what you'd expect from your street food.
Its a must try here !
Tareli Macchi
So as the name suggests its a fried fish, at first even I thought the same. But after I read the description mentioned I came to know that its a baked version of the fried fish.
It was perfectly marinated with parsi spices and wasnt too over-powering
Lagan Nu Custard
Custard's have been my all time favourite and so I decided to give it a try and it was way ahead of my expectation.
All in all a perfect end to a great meal.

Tried the Mutton Chops from their "new" section..Crispy,fluffy and light on the outside and just rightly done Mutton mincenon the inside.A great appetizer !
For the mains had the Chicken Dhansak and Salli Boti with Whole Wheat Brun.While the curries were very well executed,I was amazed by the freshness of the Whole Wheat Brun.
Ended the meal with the Matunga Coffee Cake.Gooey and nice and comes with some waffle sort of chips to dip in.
They have some comics and a booklet which helps ease the communication for their differently abled staff!A great initiative..

Loved this place. The staff was excellent especially Ashish and Tariq who were our servers were amazing. They recommended the best. So I had the Goan Sausage Pav, mind you ITS A MUSTT HAVE, it was just delicious. Then followed by Patra Ni Paneer which was average after having the lip smacking dish. I’m a dessert lover. So as per Ashish’s recommendation I ordered Mawa Cake which was ok, Jerro Aunty’s Toblerone Mousse ITS A MUSTTTTT HAVEEEE IT WAS YUMMMMM (mawa cake + the mouse is even better), Lagan Nu Custard was disappeared had high expectations.
Had a lovely dinner. Waiting to come back.

It is a Parsi restaurant with great food. It is a must visit restaurant to try Parsi food. Do try new dishes in the restaurant. Alcohol is also served here. The ambience is nice and seats are comfortable. The staff are very courteous. Live music is played in the restaurant.
Nice place to spend an evening ..choices in the menu mostly nonvegetarian close to the Bandra East BKC.
Beautiful surroundings ,up market place . parking is available at a small distance .nice location courteous staff. Away from the crowd of the city but by the side of the main road you can drive in or can come by taxi best bus as you like😊

As soon as I entered the place, felt like I was in someone's old house, the old switches, comfortable wooden chairs and that old school bar,fell in love with that bar
That quirkiness was not overpowering
