Who could ever say no to Zaffran?! This place is like a North Indian lovers paradise. We had some naans, dal maakhni, butter chicken and galouti kebabs. It was all great. The only think I was disappointed in was the butter chicken because it was sweet, so if you’re looking for authentic butter chicken, then you may not want to try that from here.
Good food but the place is over priced the Mutton is amazing here must visit place the service is quick and the staff friendly. I guess this place is stuck down.

Good food, great ambience. Tried their Veg Galouti kebab and Mushroom masala cheese appetizer which were both great! Then followed with Babycorn dhingri hare pyaazwale which is breath of fresh air compared to the redundant paneer main courses. Then finished off with paneer Tikka biryani which was aptly spiced and filled with veggies and paneer. All in all, a great mughlai Indian food experience.
I had ordered paneer tikka biryani and cucumber cooler. The biryani was flavourful but the cucumber cooler was just amazing. If i visit again, im sure to order the cooler.
Yesterday had went to the Hill Road outlet. Ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani and breads.Both were yum.
If this outlet lacks something, its only the ambience. That Zaffran feel is missing. It is divided into two portions. The first one was occupied,consequenty took the second one. It was full of mosquitoes and a mosquito repellent was placed which made the place quite uncomfortable to sit.
The staff was courteous.
I'm gonna keep this plain, simple n straight - If you're in the vicinity of Hill road and looking out for Indian/Mughlai food. Zaffran is where you should be.
We had the Murgh Malai, Murgh Banjara kebabs, Zafrani Paneer Tikka n the Palak Paneer. All yum n nothing to complain.
The place has valet n is more suited for bigger groups/families n dats exactly the crowd one can expect to see here!

Prices can seem a bit high if you're just looking for dinner on a weekday. But the place has a full bar, stays open pretty late most nights and again, the service is lovely. So it's set to remain a haunt.

Woo this place is expensive! But worth it! Yummy food! Decor can definitely be improved.. The outdoors has a lot of rusted decor! The staff is also quite uninterested.. But the food! Yummy! I tried the mughlai chicken with rumali roti and tandoori roti. Also tried the tandoori chicken and Dal and rice. All the items were heavenly!
A place which is known for its mughlai cuisine and is known for its brilliant briyanis and it's scrumptious kebabs. It's located on hill road and can be spotted without an ease.
Murg kakori kebab and Baruchi Barrah chap is a must have over here. The spices, the preparation everything is just on point.
Chicken biryani is another pick which is just another thing which you should not miss.

The kebabs here are cooked to perfection. Soft pieces of chicken that have their juices retained within them marinated in a special blend of spices was amazing. Then we ordered a gravy named Chicken Anarkali and butter naan. The naan was very hard and chewy and the waiter was kind enough to replace it and get fresh naans for us. Would definitely come here again just for the kebabs. ❤️

Had been here recently and was the first time I went here. Wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be an unparalleled experience.
Ordered for Chicken Tandoori which was genuinely cooked in the clay oven, was cooked to perfection.
Also tried Murg Kalmi Tangdi Kebab which was great.
The highlight was the Butter Chicken & especially the Chicken Tikka Biryani (which is a must try). The taste just blew me away.
Authentic taste for both the dishes and good quantity as well for the money.
Only service was a little slow mostly because of the crowd which was unexpected on a weekday past 11 pm at night.

Zaffran is a fantastic place if you wish to cater to a specific fix - it could be their melt in your mouth kababs, their super creamy dal makhani or their mouthwatering biryani. We wanted to do a relaxed Saturday lunch in the suburbs and Zaffran delivered on the expectations. The service is efficient and the staff attentive. We rounded off the meal with two desserts - the classic phirni and the newest addition to their menu - the kulfi plate. While the kulfi plate was all right, it didn't match up to the standards of the phirni perhaps because it wasn't plated in a way that we could enjoy the balance of flavours. Thanks, Ram, for hearing us out - we really appreciated the sweet gesture. :)

Zaffran at Hill Road is a great restaurant. We went there for lunch and the place was not crowded at all even on a weekend.
For starters the Palak kababs were simply amazing. The masala papad is also worth a try.Food is tasty and vegetable biryani with raita is what I can recommend for the vegetarians.
Service is quick and ambience good. Seating is cozy and comfortable for a big group!

Visited the much talked about place to avail my Zomato Gold, and was it worth it? Yes.
We tried the paneer tikka and murgh malai tikka, both of which were soft and delicious. Also tried the veg galouti kebab, which was so good I couldn't differentiate it from a non veg galouti kebab.
For main course we tried dal makhani and paneer tikka masala, both above average and huge quantity, we had to overeat. Dum handi sabzi was average, wouldn't recommend as compared to other things.
The best thing about the meal was the Jeera masala soda!
Nuce mughlai food .. not that good cleanliness. Know for non veg .. even the interiors need an upgrage need 2 turn up a noche a little bit..

Lunch with the team last week got us to Zaffran at Hill Road, Bandra.
The ambience was good and being a weekday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all.
Having eaten at the other Zaffran outlets, we were quite aware of their food and specialties. We ordered accordingly and were almost satisfied with what we had.
The Roomali masala papad was decent but not as great as what we've had earlier. To top it all, there was just a miniscule amount of cheese randomly sprinkled on the papad (despite our request for a cheese variant), which was surprising considering the amount that we generally see at other places. Only on returning it, they made corrections which were satisfactory.
For starters, we had the Zaffrani Paneer Tikka and Tandoori Broccoli. While the Paneer Tikka was good, the broccoli was very disappointing as it was not cooked properly - soft inside but almost burnt from the outside when bitten into.
For mains, we had the Paneer Tikka masala and Veg kolhapuri, both of which were fine. The Chilli cheese kulcha and the Margarita kulcha (kulcha stuffed with a red sauce base and cheese) was interesting. We finally ended the meal with the Subz Hundi biryani (with raita) which we found it to be just about ok.
There were some hits and some misses relating to our experience here. I only hope it was just a bad day as certainly there are more expectations from the house of Zaffran.

A lovely ambience with attentive waiters is a plus point.
Their special Roomali Masala Papad and the obvious Murg Mussallam is the best for a group to enjoy.

On one side is a fine dine and royal look and on the other side is an open place with screening at night.
Food- quality and quantity of the food is undoubtably amazing. Tikka masala and makhni gravy for chicken and paneer are lip smacking. Biryani is also yumiee.
Since the quantity is really good hence a gravy with choice of bread and biryani would be good for 3 people.
Service - very gentle and welcoming staff.
Price - high but works well with the quantity serviced.

A must visit place for a non vegetarian! I had been here with my friend and ordered Cheese Naan with Murgh Mussallam. We were full till our throat & the feeling was heavenly... every bite of the naan with the gravy & meat was awesome & finger licking!

Overall experience was amazing.
Zaffran is a totally Indian restaurant with a lot of saffron infused dishes as its name suggests. If you are a bit of chinese food lovers then you'll have to be walking away😒😔🤐. But the restaurant masters in Indian cuisine whether it may be murgh🐔 or gosht🐐, roti or naan🍪, etc.
In starters we ordered veg galouti kebab, pudhina paneer tikka, murgh khalmi tangdi kebab, murgh zaffrani tikka, murgh Banjara kebab, etc. and guess what none of the dishes let us down in taste or in appearance. My personal favourite was galouti kebab (recommended, though I'm a non-veg addict) as cashewnuts were added too and with a dip in that pudhina green chutney it tasted beyond this universe.
Main course included zaffrani malai kofta, zaffran-e- murgh mussallam with 3-4 sauces, Murgh Afghani, Zaffran signature butter chicken. Veg Biryani and chicken biryani and chicken bhuna biryani were ordered to fill the rice thirst😅.
Overall a great place♥️ to go for a family outing or friends with Indian food lovers😜.
Without any hesitation I'd recommend butter chicken, this place knows how to do it. Great if you want to try something local, be careful about level of spiciness in your food. Good service as well as good prices, located in popular Bandra.

In terms of ambience, not as warm, well-lit or hospitable as its peers in Lower Parel or Andheri West, but makes up by delivering the same quality and taste of food - as good as any other outlet.
We started off with the Zaffran Galouti kebab which just melt in the mouth. Served with a green mint chutney on the side, these kebabs are non-greasy and easy on the palate. The fish tikka though well marinated is extremely spicy and we had to have generous helpings of soft drinks in order to soothe our mouths, which were basically on fire. That said, the basa fish was soft, melt in the mouth and delicious. If only they could tone down the marination a bit.
For main course we opted for the Zaffran Murg Biryani. Served out of a copper handi, the biryani was simply divine. My mother commented that this was one of the rare biryanis whose saffron flavour you could smell - and she was right! Well-flavoured, well-marinated chicken, layered beautifully with the rice. The biryani was served with a side of raita which complemented the biryani nicely.
All in all, it was a hearty but also very heavy meal as it caused all of us to go home and snooze for the next 2 hours. We look forward to visiting Zaffran again soon.

As I reached the place I liked the atmosphere, the ambience was great too & they had started sheesha I heard Recently
Negative -
1. Had a Reservation for 9:30 for 5 ppl reached at 9:45 was asked to wait then later we being 5 ppl were made to sit temporarily on a seating for 4 but after 5 mins we finally got our table i.e. by 9:50
Positive -
1. The waiter who served us was very helpful to me to decide on what to order (Pento)
2. He served everyone well no one has any complaints
3. Were very quick in getting the orders didn't have to wait much
4. Lenin was the one who arranged a cake for me
5. The waiters also joined along with my friends and a happy birthday song was played too
6. The food was very hygienic
7. The food was tasty/ yummy (satisfied)
Overall was very happy only Reservation part was not good. Rest all was awesome
We being 5 ordered good amount of food but the bill was around 5k . So a reasonable place. Need to look upon Reservation and the songs played there need to improve as all of us were feeling sleepy while eating..
