I have visited this place only once. Good place for Punjabi food, veg as well as non veg. It's on highway and there is good variety in menu. Service is quick .
Try tangdi kebab, it is juicy dripping, cooked in self fat. I havent tasted so much tender chicken for a long time. Mutton bhuna - quantity is less butt too good for taste buds. Go for it. And overall a dhaba ambience is awesome experience. Go for it!

We were thoroughly delighted! What an experience. TIRED we were post a long road trip n decided to stop by with no big expectations n we were superlatively delighted. Service, food quality , quantity all score a 10/10. There was not much crowd probably since it was Monday. But prompt service then the order taking the quick service then deserts n it left an impact on our minds as well as our heart.
Order was Chicken main course, Dal makhani n roti n rice , kheechya masala followed by the rabdi n kulfi.
Awesome experience team! Good luck hope to get this level of service every time we visit.
Ambiance was good, i like service on each table. Food quality 4.5 out of 5. Good serving. And i like the most black paper tandoori i am loving it. And finally food is GOD.

Huge seating space you can enjoy the proper dhaba ambience. They also have have open air space and indoor dinning. The service is fast and I have always experienced it being full on weekends with a waiting of 1-2 hrs if you reach after 9pm. The food is amazing.
Mutton and chicken are the best eaten at Dara's dhaba . also try the mutton rara and rawas koliwada ! The portions are humongous and service is bang on !

Were on our way back from Bhandardhara when we decided to stop here for lunch. Have been to this place twice before and liked the food served.
Started my meal with a shared portion of the Punjabi lassi. Very rich and creamy. It half-filled a very hungry stomach. It's a must have, one of the best places to be serving lassi in/around the city.
Then, ordered for the chicken pepper tandoori, pretty good, delicious, nothing extraordinary, pepper made it a bit spicier, so there was the twist to the normal tandoori chicken.
Lastly, had the murg mussallam, really loved the way the meat was cooked, but just felt that the gravy lacked a bit of the flavour that you normally associate with murg mussallam.
All-in-all, a pretty good meal, just think that a lot of the food on that menu is overpriced considering the setup and the service.

I have a fixed order here of desi chicken which takes about 45 minutes to prepare and mutton gauti curry.
Both are light gravies, little spicy with loads of garlic .

See here's a thing, there are so many best restaurants in Mumbai and then there's Dara's! The desi chicken brings me to Kalyan from Dadar once a while (everytime). Long drive plus dinner on this place is like a cherry on the cake. Quantity of the food is marvellous. On the other side I'm the customer who try those funky name dishes like Bewda Chicken and Jhinga Nisha, don't go on the name...they taste awesome. Best place for late night dinner attack with friends. Or just go out with your loved one.....damn sure your partner will have a awesome date. Don't order Triple Rice or Biryani until and unless you're too hungry or you're a hungry wolf. Would love to visit this place again and again. Little costly but dude the food over here is eternity.
Went to this place on highway for dinner, the places stands up to its reputation , had a wonderful time eating here. Have ordered deshi chicken, a paneer dish, exotic papad & fillers. The food rate's very high on taste,the ddshi chicken was amazing, never had such a lovely chicken on that highway.

Found out about this through zomato. The ambiance was nice ,staff was helpfull. Tried their butter chicken and naan which was mouth watering. Also the biriyani was very tasty. Would like to visit this place again.
Visited this dhaba style restaurant on the our way back from Igatpuri. The outdoor seating looked nice but there were too many mosquitoes so decided to sit inside. Ambience was average. Food was over all good. The cheese tikka was one of its kind. Very simple dish. A big cube of processed cheese marinate in the pander tikka marination. If you really like cheese then you can try. The lassi and stuffed parathas were good. Food not out of the world but if you are in that area and want to try some dhaba style food then it's a good option.

After a long and tiring journey thought of having some beers and good food.... while coming back from nasik I came across Daras dhaba.... as it was too hot outside me and my friends decided to sit in the ac section... we started gulping buds and then arrived bewda chicken, a dish which was blended with rum in it... suggested by the staff and yes we loved it... superb.. later had the banjara kabab which was also soft and tender.. we requested the staff to shift is in the non ac section which they happily agreed for and then our session continued. Felt very relaxed on the khatiya outside... finally ordered for butter chicken and chicken khurchan... the sweetness of butter chicken was not because of sugar but coz of the actual butter in it...

OK before I review this place. If u are new near this area u might get confused as the GPS guides u WRONGLY. So anyone coming from Nasik side towards mumbai it's After u cross the toll on the left hand side ahead of Oye Punjabi.
Ok food as always great. You need to have the lassi so make sure u keep place for it if u eat too much..
Service a bit slow compared to the bhayander one.
If u plan to sit outside do not sit in the afternoon as it's super hot.

On mumbai-nashik highway got a good place to eat finally... The hotel is divided into two parts. The outer dhaba type and the inner one with AC. I would suggest sit outside on the bed type khatiya...

We had been on a Friday night at 11 pm. After sometime there were only us at d dhaba.. 10 of us! Still they managed to give us a very good service at 1am when they wanted to shut d dhaba actually. Food is excellent. Naram dil kebab, butter nan, Manchurian.. Everything.. Delight was their Punjabi lassi n chaas! 5/5 for that. Ambience is super great 4.5/5. A must go when u happen to come across.

From Mumbai : Once you cross sangrilla resorts (on your right). drive for around 1KM. You would see DARA in big red in on your right.
From Nasik : Once you cross toll after titwala. Around 2KM, you would see DARA in big red in on your left.
Ambiance - 4.5 : Dhaba type ambiance, low voice old Bollywood music. at the same time hygiene at its best.
Food - 4.9 : I had veg. The word finger licking gets proved only at some places for me. this is one of them. Everyone do try "Naram Dil kabab". I didn't have anything like this ever. & Rest curry, rotis, chaas are good too.
Service - 4.8 : Lots of waiter roaming, you don't have to screme to waiters as you do on typical dhabas.
Billing - 4.0 : Not sure card payment is available. Please carry cash on safe side, you cant expect a highway joint to have a card network always.
Parking - 4.9 : A gurkha available always to direct your car to help & lot of space every time I have visited.

Long drive on Nasik Highway in search of a good Dhaba to satisfy our gastronomic cravings. Finally found a Dhana which we can recommend highly. We ordered Bhindi Kurmure/crispy bhindi, lasuni Chana Fry, Desi Chicken Sukka, Tawa Paneer, Veg Sheekh Kabab, Full Gauti Desi Chicken Handi. Each dish was cooked with care and was very delicious. Couldn't find fault in any dish. The only thing we could point out was the fact that the oil in the Gauti chicken could have been little less but then the taste was dot on the money. The place is around 43 kms from Powai and we are definitely going to visit again and very soon. Definitely no dinner tonight.
Rating : 4/5 for taste, 3/5 for ambience, 3/5 on pricing, 3.5/5 for service, 4/5 for value for money and good food that you will remember for a long time.

It's a fine restaurant...... With excellent service and taste food. I ordered only veg that day ...I.e. Paneer tikka masala, spring role it was delicious and the flavors were perfectly blended...Only thing I didn't like about it was, they take too much time to make food and serve.

First things first, do not get lured into the restaurant's claim that it is near kalyan fata. It's a good 10 kms from kalyan fata.
The ambience is decent enough for a dhaba but could have been better. One does expect something more than usual for a brand like Dara's so as to differentiate from its local competitors. But the place is clean and hygiene is good.
The food is good. We ordered a kebab and a chicken curry. Well marinated, brilliantly cooked and perfectly as spiced. Service was very good.

One of the best dhaba around Mumbai for some proper restaurant style Punjabi food ,we tried banjara kebab ,chicken tikka for starters butter chicken with roti for main course the quantity of butter chicken was huge and 5 of us were thoroughly satisfied preparation was fantastic.also seating arrangement is is fine with outdoor and ac option,quick and friendly service only thing is its a bit expensive compared with other dhabas rest is great,recommended!
The Food here is simply fabulous. It was my absolute first time to a Dabba & we ordered in some Jeera rice along with Black Dal.
There were other dishes that were order too. The Moong Paratha is stuffed well coupled with some fresh Dahi is lip smacking ..
We were six of us, I would say the costing was extremely reasonable coming to about 500INR per head.
The food without a doubt is tasty and service is very prompt. Also the waiters are not pushy about anything, they were pretty accommodating. They are more than happy to help.

When my uncle suggested we drive down to this dhaba in Kalyan, I wondered how good does food have to be for anyone to want to drive 50km for it? Turns out, pretty damn good!
Dara's dhaba is located on the Mumbai-Nasik highway and is the 2nd outlet with the same name. This dhaba offers outdoor seating with traditional charpais and tables, however we opted for the more-comfortable indoor seating. While the name projects the personality of a simple dhaba, Dara's is actually pretty premium and offers high quality food. You can choose to place an order before you reach there and they would be happy to oblige. We ordered the Naram dil kabab - arguably the best vegetarian kabab I have eaten till date. Crisp on the outside, tasty filling of cottage cheese, mashed potato and spices on the inside. Delicious! The chicken malai and banjara kababs were good, though my vote is for the veg one. But the star for me was the chicken Lapeta. wow! "gauti" chicken cooked in a semi-dry gravy and also available in thicker gravy. Very well cooked, uniquely spiced and supremely tasty. Complemented well by the butter naan.
The mutton tawa was also good and perhaps mutton fans (unlike me) would be able to appreciate it more.
Perhaps one of the most unique dishes I have encountered till date is their kadak roomali roti, which seemed bigger than my 8 year old cousin. Surely an ideal replacement for the masala papad. This one's hard to describe, hence best to get a glimpse in the photos section.
While I thought this was all I could eat, one cannot resist their mango rabdi which is appropriately thick and milky, without being too sweet.
Dara's is awesome. The food is tasty, leaves your stomach full and heart happy. For a big group, it was decently value-for-money and the long ride seemed totally worth it!

The chicken tandoori lollypop was a revelation. The smoky, charred flavor of the tandoori preparation was complemented by the delicious, tangy marinade, making it a real treat for my palate.
And of course, you can't go wrong with the garlic naan. It was soft, fluffy, and bursting with garlic goodness. The perfect accompaniment to the rich curries.
Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. The combination of delectable dishes, comfortable seating, and a warm ambience made for a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be returning for more culinary adventures!
Lovely Ambience. The setup is like an actual Dhaba with Kathiyas. You can request for chairs. The bamboo layout looks amazing.
Food was delicious, though a little on the higher side. Lassi is a must try. Some dishes were very spicy, but you can ask them to adjust the flavours. The staff is very polite and overall service was excellent.
The place is located conveniently on Highway at Kashi Mira. Has ample space, but avoid going on Weekends or Sundays, since there is waiting of atleast 45mins. If going on weekend or Sunday, get online booking done in advance to reserve your space, so that you do not have to wait too long. The ambiance and food is good. There is live performance of songs in the A/C section. But the place is expensive.

Great food. Big space for a group dinner. The nearest metro station is Dahisar East. Don’t order for Cheese Garlic Naan it’s not good.
The Restaurant is well spread out with lot of seating space, separated into Smoking and Non-smoking zones. The Staff are really well behaved and make you feel welcome on arrival as well as when you are there. The food appearance and taste was really good. It wasn't too spicy and they were willing to adjust the flavour as per our needs. Lassi and Buttermilk was really delicious, and a must try. The cost is slightly on the higher side.
This place is really awesome. our Sunday we spent very well. really enjoyed our Sunday alot.. it really gave us the really dhaba feeling the service and everything is very good 😊 friendly staff
